Omg what great service from Mary.....I was a vision works customer and just decided to check out there specials.And when i walked in i saw my Optician from vision works who is now the Mgr at JC penney optical.What great service and now im a loyal customer at this location because of mary great professional service.

I originally ordered my glasses December 11th, 2019. Came in with a lens protruding. The frames were not right for my type of lens. Needed to order a second pair. This is my 4th trip back to the store. Waited 90 minutes the first time to get my glasses! Only 1 employee on duty. Neither time did I receive a customer courtesy call to inform me my glasses were ready. When I called the store to inquire the employee answered my inquiry by responding let me check to see if they are ready It would SUCK if you came here and they werent ready. Great Customer Service. My glasses cost me $516.00, without the eye examination. My only compliment is to the doctor who gave me my eye examination. Would I recommend this store, NO. Will I return NO!!!!

They are the best! Very knowledgeable and thorough:0) They will take as much time as you need to get you the best possible price with your glasses. I was very worried as I have been to purchase eyeglasses where the price of your glasses just seems to go higher and higher. They get you the best, and most accurate price that they can for you with whatever they are working with:0) Excellent job!

JCpenny Optical provides high quality service and strives to meet the needs of all customers. Mary Fonner, the Optical Manager, is very friendly and detailed. She makes sure everything is down to the T and that all of her customers are happy. When I went to get new glasses, she ensured that the process went smoothly even when though there were some rude and inconsiderate customers. She is such a sweetheart and even gave my little brother a cute sunglasses kit for being so patient because she had to deal with those inconsiderate customers. She ensured that my needs and my dads needs were met and we ended up with beautiful glasses. Also, the doctor is quite wonderful and very friendly. She was quick and efficient and she got my prescription down to the T. I really, really liked her. If you want great optical service, go there because it will be worth it!!!

If you want consistent, great customer service, do not visit this location. Their hours are inconsistent and the customer service of the employees is less than 1 star. I have worn glasses for almost 20 years and I always use the cleaning cloths given to me by the manufacturer of the brand Im wearing. Because I wear my glasses constantly, I opt to pay a bit more for what I consider quality brands. I have worn Guess, Coach, Bebe and my most recent pair Boss Hugo Boss (Orange). I get the extra insurance for my glasses and change the frames every 2 years due to insurance restrictions. I get transitions, anti-glare, anti-scratch and whatever else bells and whistles come with the glasses because I work in front of a computer for over 10 hours a day. A few months after purchasing my most recent frames and lens from JCPenney Optical (Boss Hugo Boss), my lens became scratched due to normal wear and tear. I visited the location on a Wednesday afternoon and spoke to a customer service rep. I explained to her that Id like to utilize my insurance and get new lens because the lens were slightly scratched. She took them and began to examine them. I explained that I only use the cleaning cloth provided and I dont even used the spray they gave me to clean the lens and furthermore, I just want new lens (thats the reason I paid the extra insurance out of pocket). She told me that the cleaning cloths dont scratch the lens. I told her they did because this is completely possible. She told me they could order the lens and when they come in, I can just show up and they can change them out on site. She told me what the deductible would be and I told her Id return on Friday to pay. I returned on Friday, Jan. 4, 2019, and another person was there. She took my payment and told me that the lens would be ordered that day. Later that evening, I received a call from her that the lab needed my frames, too and I was asked if I had a back up pair of glasses. I told the person I didnt have a back up pair, just my previous 2 year old prescription and I needed this to be expedited if I give them my frames. I had my daughter drop the frames on Monday, Jan.7, 2019 at 11am when they opened. Today is Jan. 15, 2019 and I still do not have my glasses back. I called and spoke to the people there and they make me feel like Im bothering them. Though this post is long, I left out the other conversations Ive had to spare you because Im sure you get my point. Their definition of expedite is completely misconstrued. I will not use JCPenney Optical in the future for my, my husband and my childrens needs.January 22, 2019 update: I received a call yesterday at 5:56pm that my glasses arrived. I asked what time they closed and I was told around 6:30pm. I wouldn’t make it in time. I asked what time they closed tomorrow and was told 5, no later that quarter after. I get off at 5 and wouldn’t make it. I sent my daughter to pick them up. So to wrap it up, I have been without my glasses from January 7 to January 23.

Doctor was great when I had my eye exam. But ive been trying to order contacts and no one answers when I finally spoke to someone they told me that they would call me back the next day and Im still waiting. Been calling and I still cant get anyone to pick up the phone.

They are horribleI got my contacts exam and the doctor wanted me to try these cheap ultra 30 day brand that dried out my eyes.I went back to pick up my glasses and told them I wanted my normal Acuvue brandand tgeg never changed the script.Now they are telling me Im stuck with this one unless I pay another fitting fee.I asked to speak with the doctor and hes not there anymore.They dont have regular doctors.This is not a professional clinical but a facade.Go to a real clinic, you will get much better service and a regular doctor instead of stupid reps who dont know what to do when there is a problem
