I love ULTA. I do wish the store layout was better and had more clearance prices. But the staff is amazing and the products are still awesome.

Nick was so incredibly helpful and sweet when I visited the other day! He provided great alternatives to items I was looking for, and I’m in love with the product he recommended (Benefit eyeliner). He was helping 4 customers at the same time and he was helping everyone equally. He is a huge asset to Ulta! Thank you Nick!

I feel this is one of the top beauty supply stores. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Store is always clean and well stocked. Large variety of everything in every brand. They carry high end products to more inexpensive brands. ( you get what you pay for!) For sure the place to get the woman in your life things she’ll love. I’d suggest getting a gift card so she can do some pampering retail therapy!

I am NOT savvy when it comes to cosmetics but Kaylee was a HUGE help! I found the 3 items I was needing with her help. At checkout I didn’t have my card with me to get Ulta points and didn’t use when buying online recently... Talia helped me with that! Good store, GREAT STAFF, highly recommend.

Katherine saved my hair and my happiness! I had a really bad haircut. Layers that made no sense and angles that made my hair lay in a distorted way. It looked like a bad 70s haircut done by a 4-year-old. Katherine at Ulta in Cookeville, was honest and no nonsense and assured me she could help when I thought I was doomed. I thought, at best, I would end up with super short hair that I was still not happy with and instead I still have medium length hair that looks amazing. Ive already booked with her for my 3 month appointment to continue shaping it as it grows. She worked a miracle. She made me happy again. Thank you!

Pulls up the Ulta website, Cookeville location entered.Searches products.Finds products in stock.Drives 20 minutes to store.Asks an associate for products.Associate states that it is in fact not in stock.It may not be this locations fault that the website is incorrect, but someone somewhere should REALLY look into why this happens.Once in January with a perfume for my wife, and today in May for Hustle Butter.

Been here a couple times at the salon and Kathy always does an exceptional job! She truly takes the time with each client and her customer service is awesome, not to mention my hair looks and feels wonderful afterwards! My experiences with Ulta Beauty have been no less than wonderful. The employees are attentive and knowledgeable! I have received numerous salon services with the in house salon, and I was more than satisfied with the results ☺️ The facility is clean and well maintained. The salon staff have prestigious customer service skills. Master status stylist Katherine Blaylock does wonderful work, I highly recommend her for all your beauty needs!

I got a textured wave in the salon and I love the way it turned out. My beautician Katherine Blaylock was wonderful. Very careful with putting the perm on and making sure I was ok throughout the whole process. The price of the perm was great very affordable.

Steven was super helpful and sweet! He took the time to help me find certain products and answered all of my zillion questions. I will definitely be looking for him when I go back to help me.

I recently went in and got my hair colored at the salon, I was very nervous, but there was no reason to be. It turned out great and Im already ready to go back and have more done to it. My stylist Rachelle was very friendly and she did amazing. And from what I could see, the other stylists that were there that day were amazing too. 10/10 would definitely return and recommend.

If I could give it no stars I would. Everyone was rude, assuming I was poor and couldnt afford their outrageous prices. I came in with a lot of money to spend and left deciding to spend it where it is appreciated. Snobbery and over priced for a small town. Hands down the worst makeup shop I have ever been to.

I am always so excited to get my hair done here. Everyone in the salon is amazing and I would trust any of them with my hair, but if you’re looking to try something new with color or just want your regular “go-to” then KATHERINE IS YOUR GIRL!! I call her the “color queen” for a reason! She is absolutely phenomenal and I am so pleased every time I leave her chair! 10/10 would recommend!!!

Went in for a haircut and facial with my mother. My mom showed the stylist the haircut she wanted and she actually told my mom I dont feel comfortable doing that haircut and Im the only one here today. When it was my turn I showed her the picture of a stacked bob and she couldnt get it. I showed her the picture two other times and finally had to tell her to stop cutting the front because she got it to short and the back was never stacked. I never write reviews but this was the worse haircut I have ever gotten.

They are all so well educated, and also super friendly! Rachelle does my hair and is amazing, Michelle has done it in the past and was always awesome as well.

The skincare expert & licensed esthetician, Becca, is amazing. She gives great facials and makes great recommendations for skincare products specifically for you. My skin has never looked better since I started getting facials from her!

Im a makeup geek and was used to routinely driving 2+ hours to get my favorite goodies. Stopped by this new location the day after Black Friday. It was packed, but the store was still tidy, well-staffed, and had everything I planned to purchase in stock (shocker!). The staff were approachable and attentive. Im happy that this location has a hair salon, brow bar, etc as a full size Ulta. Go check it out! Best of the best products & great deals.

First of all, I love Ulta..!! Im so happy they finally opened one in Cookeville. This store is new and the staff is very helpful. The products are displayed nicely and inviting throughout the store. I bought 2 hair brushes during this visit. They have a great selection and prices. Ill be back when I have more time to browse. ❤

I mean its Ulta. You can look up their brands and prices on their website. This store is kept pretty clean and laid out as nice as any other. Brightly lite and staff are on hand to help if you have a question.

The cashiers are super nice. Whom ever the lady is in the white coat tall dark hair not so much. I asked her if they sell eyebrow stencils her answer was she knows they sell them but she doesnt know where they were in the store and for me to try at a drugstore. And that was my second time in there.

I get my hair done by Stephanie she’s amazing! My hair always turns out so good!

Great service there. people are always willing to help and do swatches with you. they do make me nervous though and feel watched sometimes lol maybe they are just That attentive or on the lookout for shoplifters? Anyways, they allowed me to return an item without a receit and gave me a gift card. I only wish they had better deals and sales. many things i have found online cheaper.

I love puts store but I dont like that they keep asking if they can help( because I like to look at everything before I buy) you say no thank you and they ask again in 10 mins. Then they just stare. I defiantly feel so out of place and uncomfortable here but I have a makeup page on instagram to run so I have to buy makeup all the time. I just dont want to feel smothered

Wife loves this store, but it destroys your wallet like no tomorrow. Guys lock your wallet, bank accounts, double check your hidden money, make sure all your guns are still there. This place will bankrupt you!!! You have been warned.

With the few employees they had working they couldn’t remove themselves from their phones or from looking at themselves in the mirror enough to assist a customer. If you need assistance finding what works best for you- do your research online before you walk in or just go to a Sephora. They are located in Nashville, Knoxville, and Chattanooga worth the drive.

I dont care for their approach to pricing disclosure. They do have alot. Its expensive. Gotta figure out how bad u need it.

Giving it the stars i did for the business. great store and super nice people. BUT I recently got my hair died here and showed them a picture of what i wanted. My hair looks NOTHING like the picture and it’s completely fried from top to bottom. Instead of slowly transitioning into the picture she just completely fried my hair. I paid way to much for it anyways, and she rung the treatment up without asking if i wanted it or not. Highly displeased with the outcome of my hair, because they always brag on their ‘pro’ stylists, but a ‘pro’ stylist wouldn’t have done what they did to my hair. I paid for it with my store card and would like to figure out about getting my money back because I’m going to have to find somewhere else to fix my hair without cutting it all off.

When I went in, everyone working there had a smile on their face. Theyre all eager to help. Ive never been in an ulta before so I became quickly overwhelmed. A girl at the mac counter offered to shade match and set me up with a new foundation, which I absolutely love. Great atmosphere & very clean store.

I went into Ulta looking like a hot mess!!!But left feeling beautiful.Rochelle helped me figure out what i needed..So i got my first Balayage. The layout and the merchandising are done very nicely. There is always a lot of people in there so the samples get tossed around but the employees do their best. One of the barbers gave me free and honest advice about hair products and just gave me her card if I ever needed her services. The employees walk around very casually. They are either really diligent or I sometimes get the feeling they are looking for theives. I dont blame them but it gets annoying after a while. Overall Im glad we got one in our area and its worth going.

If I could leave no stars I would. atleast 4 people standing talking while I wait to be checked out, noone notices. also, while looking at lipsticks a Male employee comes over and says let me squeeze right here in front of you and proceeds stand there in between me and the lipsticks I was looking at. so rude! and Im not much of a complainer buy whoever is staffing this place is wasting money having so many people to just stand around and gossip

I was there shortly after their grand opening. Bought a few things and was waited on promptly. Went there with money in hand about 2 weeks ago. There was 6 or 7 customers wandering around in the isles. Two sales people were helping 2 more customers. The sales people never acknowledged anyone else. After 30 minutes I left. I wont be back. I would rather travel 1 hour to Sephora in Knoxville than 30 minutes to Ulta in Cookeville.

I love ulta beauty but when I went there for the salon part of the store for makeup it was not a good experience what so ever. The women that done the makeup didn’t match my skin with the foundation and just caked my face....

1)Employees are very rude 2)Kids were runnin around like they owned the place with no parents around 3)A woman was on her phone talkin so loud the whole store heard her.

If I could give this less than one star I would. Every time I have went in there they have had none of the products I am looking for, at times the store looks like it has been absolutely ransacked and they have not had any new products shipped in. The staff seems to be very rude and condescending and even though there is plenty of staff working to try and get someone to help you with something is nearly impossible. They treat you like they are some kind of big shots and you know nothing, even though most of the time you know a lot more than the employee does. I had a awful experience one day last week with making an exchange and buying a lot more make up to go with it and the woman was very rude behind the counter and when I asked about free samples, even free samples of make up Like foundation,they said that they do not do that at all. And I can drive to the ulta two hours away and they have no problem giving free samples out, so it is a little confusing. Lots of people like to test out a foundation maybe just for the day and see how it wears throughout the day and if it oxidizes when it hits the air. I was told that I could buy the bottle and if I did not like it I could return it. I don’t want to have to come in and return something and go through the whole hassle when I could get a tiny sample of that foundation and just wear it for a day and see how it performs throughout the day. When I spoke to the manager of the store she said that the employees may be a little bit rude and short because they are so busy and they are having to deal with a lot of people. But I worked in customer service for years and was always told that it did not matter what was going on inside the store you were to always treat every customer the same and act as if nothing was wrong. I will make the 2 Hour Drive to a different Ulta or more likely Sephora where they treat you with respect and know what they are doing. This is a very small town and Word gets around very quickly. I would’ve just been better off buying online

Friendly staff to greet you when you walk in that does not follow you around and aggravate you but yet if you need to ask them a question theyre there for you and mediately and theyre very knowledgeable in their job great staff all the way around

It has the hand soaps, body wash, and cologne that I like.

The sales staff here is nothing to brag about. It’s like they do not even know the brands they carry or where they’re located. I’ve been going to makeup shops for years now, and I’m fine shopping online, but if you actually want any help, I wouldn’t suggest going here. Heaven forbid you go there on a day that you’re not wearing makeup, you’ll get treated like you’re the hunchback of Norte Dame. I’m a platinum rewards member with Ulta and know about ten times more than their employees, but that doesn’t mean I’m always looking like a insta model. I think all customers of all experience levels should be treated with the same respect, and not like a leper if you’re not currently wearing makeup. Stick to the online store and just avoid the Cookeville store.
