Bartholet is a wonderful family owned and operated furniture store with a great selection, including Paul Robert upholstery selections on the floor, as well as other hand selected items from many manufacturers. They also special order. They have a friendly and knowledgeable staff, located on I-45, north of Houston.

Worst customer service ! We received a call the day of delivery that one of the furnitures (side table) will not be available! Waited for so long for the deliveries just to hear the bad news! If you are paying 8K+, you would expect service/receive goods that was agreed upon! Guy on the phone didn’t really care! Don’t waste your money on this store!

Great furniture store (with home decor, art, accessories, etc). Outstanding customer service from the minute we stepped in the door (Kelsey assisted us and she was fantastic). Great selection of furniture at reasonable prices. I would highly recommend this business to family and friends. Our new entry console was our first purchase, but surely won’t be our last.

Didnt buy furniture here but we got a flat tire and pulled into the parking lot after closing hours. Bret Bartholet saw us on security camera and showed up and was super helpful and nice. He let us borrow his jack while we got a new tire. He is the definition of southern hospitality.

I love, love LOVE this store! All of the designers and staff are wonderful to work with on projects large and small. I popped in yesterday looking for accessories for a foyer table. Melinda helped gather items from around the store until we got the grouping perfect for the room and my taste. Not an expensive project, but she gave me a lot of time and advise. Bartholet always has unique pieces you cant find elsewhere. Many thanks to everyone!

The furniture was fantastic. We started out great with the rep and had already settled on a sofa. We went to compare two recliners in the store, the rep did not follow us, and when we came back she was with another couple. She saw us and did not attempt to excuse herself. We spent five minutes doing some last minute checks and to give her a little time to get back to us. Next thing we knew, she was no longer in the store. This made us feel like we were not important at all, and yet we were about to close a $5000+ purchase. We had already invested quite a bit of time trying to lock down what we wanted. Needless to say, we will not be visiting the store again. We can buy the furniture at their competitors. Very disappointed.

Customer service here is UNPARALLELED! When an expected fabric back order from the manufacturer caused my custom-ordered sofa to be delayed (and with a big party at my house looming), Todd and Susan did everything in their power to eliminate my stress. They sent pictures of several sofas from the store, so that I could choose a loaner sofa, which they delivered and set up with great care two days before my party, allowing me to maximize seating. They even stored my old, smaller sofa until my new one arrives! In an era where wonderful customer service, integrity and attention to detail seems to be on the decline, Bartholet SHINES!! Big fan of Bartholet!!!

Good quality furniture, but the service is quite pretentious. When you own a business your customer service is as important as your product. When you put one customer off, youve lost at lost ten more. If they had friendlier staff theyd have had another $15k or more from this customer last year....The owners need to see whats happening. It appears from the reviews here they could be doing much better.

Beautiful furniture and home furnishings. Very helpful and easy to deal with. They stayed past closing time even though we tried to leave and apologized for keeping them. We look forward to our next visit to this beautiful store.

Great customer service. Strive to help you find what you are looking for. Very customer friendly. We love to work with everyone on the staff. They know the product lines of what is available very well. If you ask for some style or look, they can bring up examples of different vendors they rep and can describe the quality and style in great detail. Nothing but the highest praise for these folks and this firm.

Best furniture store in the country! Seriously. Not only is their inventory beautiful, unique, and reasonably priced for the amazing quality, the family that owns and runs the place is a dream to work with! As soon as I walked in the door I was met with genuine smiles and instantly felt as if I had been friends with the designers for years. Thats how personable they are! They were able to work with me to design exactly the look I was going for, despite my not knowing exactly how to put it in words. These people obviously have tons of experience doing what they do and Im so glad I decided to go with them! Will definitely be going back and referring them to friends and family!

After living in River Plantation for 30 years, I flooded in 2017 for the first time. This was a very hard experience to live through with my husband and I being retired. I went into Bartholet Home Furnishings and the owners and employees were wonderful to work with. They came to my home, helped me make decisions on what furniture/ accessories to get for my home. Within 8 weeks I had my new furniture in which Kelsey and two delivery guys moved in and were very carful with my new flooring and painted walls. The delivery guys also took the time to move furniture that we had stored upstairs down to our living area. I cannot begin to explain how nice the owners and employees were to me every time that I came into the store. The customer service at Bartholet home furnishings is unmatched. I highly recommend Bartholet Home Furnishings if you want individual care and beautiful furniture. Thank you Bartholet Home Furnishings for making my home feel like a home again.

My husband and I came in to Bartholet’s this weekend and we are so glad we did. We worked with Kim and Sarah to furnish the rest of our house and they made it such an easy process. The other reviews about arrogant & haughty attitudes were accurate . We made a large purchase & after one day in our home, decided we would like to exchange part of the furniture for items of equal or greater value ....PLUS purchase several rugs.( also offered to pay another delivery fee , which was excessive). The arrogance of the owner was astounding and demeaning ! She was totally unconcerned about her customers satisfaction & was rude & belligerent with my husband. These owners care nothing about their customers or customer service ...... only about their money . We would have been customers again & recommended them to our family & friends if we had been treated reasonably & respectfully. I deeply regret the day I entered their store, but it is an aesthetically pleasing exterior. However, the exterior is just a facade for the nightmare within!!! (SO wish I had stayed with Ethan Allen!!!!). Also accurate review that their items are over priced ......sadly, Im old enough to know better!!!!

This store is great, and has furnishings to suit many different styles. The customer service is great; very attentive!

We thought their store looked very nice so we had them come out to our house to help with designing. When we got there to review the items for decorating we felt it was absolutely thrown together and didnt exemplify our decor at all.The designer (Kendall) was very unprofessional, rude, and disrespectful. She talked down to us and we felt she was inconvenienced by helping us.They have multiple items that are in regular furniture stores throughout Houston but 3x the price. They refuse to match prices. When we asked to match the price they were very arrogant.If there was a way to give this store 5 negative stars we would. We will take our business elsewhere. They act like they are so much better than everyone that walks through their doors. Everytime we have walked in, not once has someone greeted us. They all stand back at the register and act like they are better than all their customers.One day I even witness one of the designers turning her noise up to a customer that had brought in a pillow and wanted help w matching fabric. Its very sad how they treated her. It took everything I had not to say something to that employee. The poor lady was so taken back and embarrassed by the employees actions. Wake up and realize that no one in your store is better than the people on the outside!!!Hopefully after writing this review people will see what type of family owned business this really is. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DONT SPEND A DIME IN THIS STORE!
