Poor customer service. Placed two orders and they keep canceling them. Every time I reach out they give you generic answer and are absolutely no help.Update: was able to go to physical store to make my purchase. They were very helpful!

Always a pleasant surprise to be greeted every time you walk thru the store and great staff members, especially in the bike department. Always friendly and knowledgeable. I purchased a gravel bike and have been so happy that the whole experience was not dry and questionable it was totally opposite and the staff spent during the initial questions to all the way to pick up and have expressed to not hesitate if anything comes up! That’s a win win!

Awesome customer service!! Carrie and Chris provided the best customer care (even the cashiers were amazing). Chris was able to fit me in his busy schedule to get my ski bindings mounted before our ski trip this weekend and I couldn’t be more appreciate of that as I was very eager to use my new gear before the season ended. He also took the time to educate me on my ski shoes and skis and many other things like skiing technique, etc. A++++++ all around!!

Good selection of high quality items that you don’t find in normal sports stores.

I was really impressed with what this store had to offer. They have everything from snow boots, skis, bicycles, wake boards and a wide selection of Yeti products. Anything you need for extreme outdoor sports is sold here. Check them out!

There are many brands of outdoor gear. North Face, Patagonia, Yeti. Prices aren’t bad either.

I’m so happy I was referred to this place as I had no idea that they service bikes too. Austin provided the best customer service experience! He’s very customer-focused, personable, knowledgeable and welcoming! And best thing was that I was in and out in a flash! I’ll be bringing all of my sports and bike needs to this place. Grateful!

I was in the concord location to get a new snowboard and bindings, and I did in fact walk out of there with a sweet snowboard and bindings.and the sales rep Jason who helped make the sale was awesome and friendly and he mounted my bindings for and even mounted the front one to the way I place my foot on my skimboard,so I give the store and Jason five stars I will refer others to yall and Ill most definitely come back to get boots.🤙

Amazing outdoor sport selection

I have been visiting Sun & Ski for a few years to get my bike serviced that I purchased from this location a few years back. The staff is always so pleasant, quick with my tune up, and fair for their prices. Its a pleasure to come down and do business with such amazing people. I initially purchased a mountain bike from the Concord location and was talked into a lesser product since the rep assured me it was same quality and just not paying for big name. I get home and ride a few times and the chain kept binding and then snapped. Took it back to the south charlotte location who confirmed it was not aligned properly and they helped refund me the purchase and exchange to the bike I was initially looking at that was confirmed to be much better quality. But they didnt have it in stock, so I purchased there ad had to go back to Concord to pick. The next day I go to ride and 10 minutes in, the peddle strips the threads and breaks off. It turns out they did not assemble properly and torque down the parts. The store is over an hour away and I couldnt make a 3rd drive there so had to go to a local bike shop to get repairs completed and just get refunded for the bill. Overall, dont buy a bike from this location at all.

Great selection of winter great. I dropped off my skies to be waxed and sharped. The staff was very friendly and answer my questions. They seemed knowledgeable. I received a call same that the skies were ready for pick up.

Better prices and better stuff elsewhere

I had been looking EVERYWHERE around Charlotte for Sperrys and Noah (an associate there) had just gotten a truck full of various colors and sizes. He went back and forth to help me find the right size/color. He was Amazing!!

In October I purchased a bike helmet as I started getting items for my upcoming triathlon. Sales rep at store 88 fitted me. Months later as I start training I learn my $50 helmet is too small. On 6/22 after hour in the store - they acknowledge the helmet is too small and it’s their helmet. I don’t have my receipt or box so I can’t return or exchange but offer 10% off. The rep attempts to size me again- why would I buy another helmet when I trusted your sale rep to help me in October. On 6/24 I call corporate spoke with John explained my first experience in the store and the helmet is too small. It’s July 3 - I’m still waiting to hear back from John. John took my phone and email address. I tried to handle with the store then with corporate. So many places sale the same item it’s all about the sales experience that will make me come back. I would have had a better experience from Walmart had I picked it out myself. I am a newbie so you go to a speciality store and this is the service I receive!!! I asked to share the responsibility of replacing or a store credit. I would have scored lower if the system allowed me.

Great selection of athletic gear for running, hiking, and other summer and winter sports. North Face, Columbia, Brooks - all your major brands are here in a good variety of sizes and styles. Heck out their website also for an even bigger assortment of gear. This location unfortunately didnt have the jacket I wanted in my size but I was able to find it along with a 20% discount through their site.

Its probably my favorite store I can think of, bikes,gear, skis,sunglasses, best selection of hiking shoes Ive seen, just fun.

Family and I always shop here for our snowboard equipment and apparel. Process are reasonable and typically many of the items are on sale. Love the ski and snowboard lease program for the children.

I had ever been in the store, it was an incredible first experience. Quinton was the one who assisted us in finding all our needs. We are headed to our cabin in Maine to experience ice fishing and snowmobiling. I am someone who hates the cold! Hates! And so he helped us find bibs, got the right size of everything , boots that would be most warm, all the way down to the warmest socks. He was very knowledgeable on all the gear. We will definitely be regulars.

The techs in the bike shop are always very knowledgeable and helpful! They do great work and get my bike ready for the next ride! They go above and beyond to make sure they are meeting my needs and completing installs exactly as I would like, not just slapping something on there like I have experienced with other shops. Will use them solely for my bicycle repairs and maintenance!

Helpful staff answered a lot of questions about ski/snowboard gear. Spent a lot of time talking about proper fitting with snowboard boots.

Returned boots because of color, unfortunately the employee who sold them questioned the reason behind my return in a very offensive manner. Again, I wanted a specific color, he was rude and made unnecessary comments saying things like are these for hiking or fashion? REALLY?! Amongst other things like his attitude, what kind of company tolerates this type of customer service? Seriously be gracious, dont talk/treat customers or people that way, maybe next time youll get the sale or at least keep me coming back. REI is only place Im going from now on.

Awful customer service, this one employee was very rude to us , dont know if he was angry because of his balding head or of his dead end job but he was not respectful.... note to all customers to stay off the snowboards even if just to try them out for ur next adventure.....he is very territorial and will fight you for them

Stopped in to look at skis on Saturday October 29th 2016 I knew what I was looking for Ive been skiing since the age of five Im 26 now after the fourth person asking me do I need help and staring at me like I was going to try to steal something and which I wasnt I had a pocket full of cash 4 credit card finally gave in to satisfy one the guy literally treated me like I didnt know anything and I was stupid when I do know what Im looking for ...what I want I dont want he was quite the smart-ass I finally ended the conversation when he told me I needed to know how to pick out bindings if I just wanted to buy the ski only for I had a set of marker jester bindings on the internet for a lower price then what they offered do I have retard written on my forehead majority of my ski life was in New York and Vermont Im not new and Im not slow they really need to train their people to be more respectful and not so criticizing thinking they know everything and were stupid one of these days theyll do it to the wrong personSo on the end I did end up driving to charlotte to alpine in which I didnt want to (charlotte drivers are crazy I think they should all resort to bikes and walking) were I was treated a whole lot better were the sales actually complimented me on my knowledgeMaybe sun and ski will file for chapter 7 and be gone someday it be alot better
