This is easily my favorite plant store! Such a good variety of plants. They also have nice candles, cute cards, pins, and more. It took a lot of willpower to not buy everything. Service was very friendly! Definitely will be returning often.

This is a really lovely little store and I want it to do well! However, I have noticed that most of their plants are not watered properly and the soil is way too dry. On three different occasions, this has been the case, and on all three trips we purchased plants that died soon after - and we know what were doing! It was not because we didnt give them enough sun or shade or water ... although, thats another problem, none of their plants have tags that say how to take care of them or even what kind of plant they are! Thats a pretty odd thing you dont see in other flower and plant shops. The people working there are lovely, but often dont know all that much about the plants. One visit, their advice to us was to make sure you water it. Hmmm. Seems obvious, and yet, they dont seem to be following their own advice. I want this place to succeed because they seem really nice and the shop is a really great idea, but it just seems like they need some help. I hope this review prompts them to add tags on all their plants and take better care of their product. Sorry, am not trying to hurt a local business, but things could and should be better. Hopefully they will work out the kinks!

I love this store! One of my new favorite shops in Concord. I have been getting into houseplants lately and they have such a nice selection of beautiful ones. Plus loads of cute pots and other adorable little items. The owners were so lovely and friendly when I came in and potted my new plant for me as well! I cant recommend this place enough, will definitely be going back.

Queer owned and every inch of the interior is lovingly crafted. Theres all kinds of dashing plants and succulents I aint NEVER seen! And staff is highly knowledgeable about plant care of every kind. Theres plenty of indie goods and a lovely sticker collection, not to mention a huge selection of beautiful greeting cards and I think I saw a few zines? Price is higher than your Lowes or Home Depot, but you are paying for QUALITY and a loving hand. Support your local businesses! Will def shop here again!

I just wanted to take a moment to say how much I love this store. I live out of state but when I visited I fell in love with all of the beautiful plants and the kind employees. My friend who is local in Concord recently went through surgery and the lovely folks at Penumbra went above and beyond in delivering a beautiful calla lily plant to my friends home. Thank you Penumbra, you guys are awesome! Cant wait to visit when Im back in town :)

Penumbra is my favorite place to shop for anything, not just plants. The owners are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Its a wonderful place to find a gift or something to treat yourself. Couldnt be happier. 5 friggin stars.

You might need to consider investing in a bigger desk or a new sidetable to have enough room for all the plants youll get from here--super friendly and helpful owners that can answer any questions about the plants and how to care for them!! Theres something for everyone, from large plants to put on your deck or in your living room all the way to small cacti and succulents to keep as a cute decoration for your workspace. The selection of plants changes, so its definitely worth coming back to see what new plants they have as well as all the gifts like pins, crystals and notebooks!!

I have walked by this shop several times and I am so happy I stopped today. This is such an awesome shop! The owners are friendly and knowledgeable about the plants they sell. I have cats and they were very helpful with picking out a plant that would be safe for my house. Everything they sell is very reasonably priced and it’s a great atmosphere. We will definitely be back soon!
