Sadly, this place seemed to disappoint and seemed as though all photos they post are seriously photoshopped...It was very difficult to find due to the other buildings around, and when we finally did find it, and went inside, there was no menu anywhere, and the music was super obnoxious.I was genuinely looking forward to this place because of the reviews and church groups meeting there, so it was very sad when I walked in and experienced this...

As a retired barista and an avid coffee drinker, one of my hobbies is trying out a shop everywhere I go. Groundwork Common is by far one of the best coffee shops I have come across yet. The food, the coffee, the atmosphere, the people—created a wonderful experience. I can’t wait to be back.

The avocado toast was great and the Great Pumpkin latte was amazing. Great and friendly staff with a cozy environment. Will definitely be back next time Im in town.

The folks at Groundwork made probably the best latte I have ever had. I told them it was as good or better than anything . . to include San Francisco, Seattle, Raleigh, etc. Truly wonderful treats to go with the coffee as well. Amazing!

What a great little spot. Coffee was fantastic and it was gone too quickly.Then the goat was something that looked so good on the menu. It did NOT disappoint. I loved every bite of it.Cannot wait to come back and try the other stuff on the menu.They have an inside area and chairs/table outside. so take you pick.

This is easily one of my favorite local spots! The quality is outstanding and everyone is so genuine and nice. They give fantastic drink recommendations when I go in and I always leave with two of whatever fresh pastry they have for the day. You will not be disappointed!

Great coffee shop. Had a latte with maple butter flavor. It was very good. I would suggest this shop. Also you don’t know who you might meet. I ran into YouTuber Taylor Martin. He does great videos on EDC.

Coffee was good. The inside is cute but they need more outlets. Also the surrounding area is loud.

First impression was great! Hospitality and conversation from the staff. The coffee was so good. I got an almondmilk latte with honey and cinnamon. The food was delicious! They are still working on GF options... so I skipped the toast with my Basic Bowl with Avocado. My daughter got the Goat Toast and Iced Coffee with Rosemary. Local fare from local farms. Stop in...you will want to go back again and again.

THE BEST COFFEE IVE EVER HAD!!!! This place is the coziest! Especially since my school is all online I’ve gone here many times just to sit down and work. This place really took me by surprise. I stopped in here and got an iced latte.I was not expecting a decent coffee shop in the Charlotte area. And here I am sipping this delicious, well extracted latte in a fantastic environment.I do not live near Concord, but anytime I’m passing through and need a good latte I’m definitely coming back.But seriously, the atmosphere is fantastic.

Bright industrial space full of light and fancy coffee drinks. The service is not especially quick so this is not a place to go if youre in a hurry, but if youre looking to sit and relax with a book or catch up with a friend over gluten-free muffins and lattes, this is the place for you.

Amazing coffee (local, Pure Intentions) and friendly service. They do have almond milk, too! And the homemade syrups are great (Maple Butter is a definite!) Quiet and clean environment, open space for anyone to come and enjoy a coffee solo...or with a friend. Plenty of table space for doing any work remotely as well. Will definitely be repeating visits here when Im in the area.

First time visit to this nice local coffee shop after a nice F3 workout in Concord. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The place was clean and inviting. There was plenty of seating inside and outside in the front. The coffee was good (I had the fresh brewed coffee) and the iced coffee and espresso brews looked really tasty. I saw they made their own cinnamon rolls and other pastries. And they make their own local syrups. I will be back with the fam!

A hidden gem. They were out of skim milk and cardboard carriers, but their smiles, fantastic service, and great product more than made up for it. What a charming place in an unlikely building. So glad I stumbled upon it.

A quiet and unassuming shop with a delightfully delicious surprise. The coffee is roasted and brewed to perfection, absolutely flavorful. You can taste all the delicate floral notes in their brew. Groundwork Common was well worth the couple of extra minutes drive off of my beaten path. I would highly recommend. Try their homemade syrup’s!

Best Coffee Shop in the Greater Charlotte Area.

My criteria for a coffee shop is as follows:- Local beans not roasted to death- Homemade latte sauces- Baristas who know what theyre doingThis place checks all those and then some. They got a nice small menu with local food items.

Incredible drinks made with in house syrups. Chill vibe with loads of natural light and happy plants. Great spot for working and hanging out! We’ll be back for sure.

Groundwork common is the best coffee shop in Concord! They have the best homemade syrups and they’re always coming up with new ones! (Current favorite is the ORL latte. It’s a Orange, Rosemary, and Lavender latte!!) It’s a perfect coffee shop to sit and do work or hang out with friends. Also their small batch pastries are delicious and always changing. Highly recommend the cinnamon roll if they have them when you go! You won’t regret it!

Really cool local coffee shop in Concord. Being from LA, it’s hard to find quality coffee shops in the area. But this one gets my full support. They have great seasonal drinks and the syrups are all house made.

Everything is delicious! The coffee is great without anything in it but if you go, I would recommend a latte with one of their homemade syrups - incredible! Although Im not local, I come every time that I am in Concord and always receive the best service.

Loved the simple and relaxing atmosphere. Music selection was on point. The barista was friendly and helpful. They had gluten free vegan oat muffin that was unbelievably delicious, and the coffee is better quality and better tasting than anything a chain store can throw together. Go visit! Just started working at Groundwork a couple days ago... and I’m so happy to be working there! I can’t imagine a more welcoming and accommodative staff to teach me the ropes of GWC. All the ingredients are top notch quality and everything is made uber fresh , like straight off the vine, out of the oven etc. Everyone should come to GWC ASAP!

Tried the maple butter latte and cinnamon roll today, and they were phenomenal! Commercial coffee shops can’t compare. The owners are super nice and knowledgeable! I will be coming back anytime I’m in the Concord/Charlotte area.

Finally. A high-quality coffee shop in Concord. All these years I’ve been driving to Charlotte to get good quality espresso. But now just down the street I can visit Groundwork Common and get the great quality coffee that I enjoy the most.And you must give the pastries a try. Even if you’re typically a healthy eater, these are worth the diversion. It’s all healthy ingredients and the taste is beyond description. The best pastries I’ve had at any coffee shop and I travel extensively.The owner, the barista’s, and the baker are all very friendly and easy to talk to. A great social gathering place in a very comfortable venue. There was even live music when I stopped in Sunday afternoon.

Very nice local coffee shop. I met an out of town coworker here for a six hour workday. The setting is modern and sleek. Coffee is excellent - more appropriate for serious coffee afficionados than for folks who are seeking dessert-style coffee drinks. The staff was extremely helpful. Im a pumping mom, and when they realized I was going out to my car to pump they offered ice for my cooler. Ill go back often for coffee and great customer care!

Finally a local coffee shop in Concord! My husband and I stopped by on a Tuesday night after dinner at Local 25. The owners were very friendly and knowledgable, the space is very modern and cozy, and the pastries and hot tea were out of this world! They are in their soft opening phase and are expanding to include a event room in the near future. Looking forward to visiting here often! They open at 6am on weekdays so grab a cup of Pure Intentions coffee on your way to work!

I visited in the evening. Great service, good selection of coffees. They have a cold brew coffee and kombucha also. I didnt want coffee, so I ordered a tea latte, which was really good. Casual atmosphere with open and flexible seating. I would definitely visit again. Free parking.

Finally Strong but not bitter coffee and pleasant prices. Freshly baked goods on premises. Wifi and cozy seating inside and outside. And the butter cookie with pralines was so goooood.
