Needed a state inspection on Saturday the 3rd of July. Called a head to make sure they were open and I could get it done with less than 2 hours before they closed. Guy said yes and did. I was the 2nd or 3rd in line and only took about 45 mins. Didnt have any work done on my car but definitely a good experience with Minuteman Auto.

Found out about this place when I moved back into town and have been coming here for years since. Great, honest, no pageantry auto shop. Good customer services, rates, and work. Highly recommend.

Im very disappointed with Minuteman Automotive. Heres why.1. I filled out the online form, selected a date and submitted it. The form said Your reservation has been booked successfully, you will receive an email confirmation. I never received confirmation, so I called to verify.2. The person answered the phone and said I must have done something wrong. I still had the website open and confirmed that it said I had submitted the form properly. He informed me that they were too busy on Thursday - the day I scheduled that I should bring my car in on Friday.3. The man asked for make, model and year of my car and what I needed. I told him my airconditioner wasnt working and my maintenance alert was on. He said fine bring it in first thing in the morning. I took off a couple hours from work, brought my car over. The man working the desk asked why I brought the car in. I told him I was told to bring it in and had given the man on the phone my name, and details about my car. He then walked outside and looked at my car and said, its a new model Honda, we cant work on the airconditioner here, it must go to the dealer.4. In conclusion, their form didnt work, and I was blamed for incorrectly submitting it. The man on the phone said he took my information, however there was no record of it. I gave him all of the information about my car, and he said to bring it in Friday, only to have them say they didnt work on airconditioners on newer model cars. This was the first time Ive dealt with this business and I was suprised at how disorganized and careless with potential clients time. Ive wasted time from work and I could have taken the car elsewhere if they had just been professional on the phone. Im angry that I have to wait until next week to have my car fixed when I took off time from work.Ive posted images to verify my submission and phone call to this business.

First of all, these guys deserve the upmost respect. While many shops closed during Covid, these guys remained open and did not go on unemployment. They are hardworking, accommodating, do the work on time, and have saved me money. Before going to them, I had paid for a huge repair at the Sunoco in Bedford. When I show these guys the bill because I thought it was unusually high and wanted their input, they agreed I was charged too much. I will not be going anywhere else for my car repair needs.

A couple years back I moved back into the area (West Concord resident growing up :-)). I noticed my 08 Fusion had drips coming from the front of the car. Being a part time car guy myself I looked at it and it was red tinged. Not good- that signals to me it’s transmission fluid. I just had the transmission fully rebuilt a year prior. Enter my search for a mechanic as I was super busy with work and couldn’t get under the car to repair whatever the issue was.I found Minuteman after a quick search and made an appointment. Arrived at the shop drips and all and waited as my car was pulled in. Once in I waited and the mechanic came in and called for me. He took me out to the car on the lift. “Alright! Found the issue- you’re right it’s transmission but- take a look at your front cooler lines.”Looking up I saw the years of MA road salt had rotted the the front cooler lines. Those needed to be replaced. I got a loaner car for the day and they went to work. Came back that afternoon and was amazed by the great cost!. Thank you for the repair and the quick service. I’ll be back for more repairs!

I decided couple of years back to go to Minuteman Automotive (on a friends recommendation). I am very pleased with their honesty and promptness. I have taken both my cars (one of them is an old 175K mile driven 2008 Mazda CX9 and the other is a 4-year old Tucson) for ALL repairs and maintenance. They have never disappointed me...Keep it up, guys!!

Honest as they come. I limped in with a flat and left with a permanent repair and a $20 charge. They said that because the damage was within the tread, it was completely repairable. I was ready to pay for a new tire at $150 and up, and was THRILLED. These guys are going on Santas good list and Im bringing them my business the next time I need a mechanic!

They do good work (as far as I can tell) at fair prices, but something relatively small tends to go wrong. They also need to work on how they respond to customer complaints, which typically amounts to its not our fault or worse (keep reading). After three separate service experiences on two different cars, none of which resulted in a trouble-free experience, I wont take my business there any more. And honestly, I cant say that I think they really care.The problems Ive had include:The first service, they underestimated the cost to replace brake pads and rotors by more than $100. I paid the charge in full without complaint, although they knew I was frustrated.The second service, they dinged one alloy wheel during a tire rotation, which the shop manager refused to take responsibility for, but the owner offered to fix it. I didnt take him up on it because I couldnt be without my car for the 2 days or more it would take to get the wheel fixed.The third service, they forgot to leave my key in my car as I asked them to so I could pick it up after hours, so I ended up having to wait an hour for the owner to come get my key. (Luckily I was able to find a way to reach him and luckily he came to help me.) They offered a small refund which I didnt think was sufficient, after which the owner said how much he was inconvenienced by coming to help and accused me of blackmail for wanting a more significant refund. Adding insult to injury is no way to treat a repeat customer.The owners comment below about me hustling them for $250 in cash is completely false.

Getting a state inspection done was fast and painless. The staff was knowledgeable about my questions regarding my out of state vehicle and I didnt feel like I was getting swindled into some Auto Shop scheme. I was in and out in 10-15 minutes. I also appreciate that on service and repairs theres a military discount. Its conveniently located to me, so Ill probably be back.

First time I was here I needed a quick fix on a tire, in and out with enough time to grab food on my break!Second time I limped in with what turned out to be a seized engine (whoops...) I needed to junk my car, they assisted me with setting it up and let my car sit on the lot without pressure.Even when I was a pain in the butt and overstayed a week longer than expected they were still very generous, kind and polite. These people do an amazing job!! I came in here for my front bumper repair. Sam is a very patient guy who goes through all the options available to you and makes you understand each and every thing that goes in for the repair. The pricing is the most reasonable i got after i went around several auto body shops for an estimate. Delivered on time with everything fixed just how i wanted with a bit of tweaks here and there that were done in addition to the bumper repair. My husband brought his truck in because he was leaking oul. He thought he needed a rear main bearing seal. We expected to spend hundreds of dollars. They could have said that it was the seal and charged us hundreds. Instead they fixed the problem and it cost us only $20.00. I was surprised at how honest they were. I give them a thumbs up.

Expensive does work then gives price 40% over estimate after being threatened by a call from the owner I will restate that got an estimate when bringing in car called for pricing with no return calls... 2 times... picked up car and bill was over 800 on a car barely worth the value of tepairs....car was never right..being threatened by owner about my review with court action is the wrong way to improve reviews....I changed my review from 2 stars to 1 for his calling me....
