I purchased a G2 Axle from 4WheelParts, who installed it along with new bearings and seals.4WheelParts and G2 touts that these axles are made from high tensile strength 4340 Chrome Molly that is heat-treated twice to produce these heavy-duty axles that are up to 40% stronger!Well guess what, someone along the line forgot to properly heat treat and QA this particular Axle. As you can see from the attached photograph, it looks like someone used a Lathe and machined a fairly deep groove in the axle bearing surface. The axle bearing itself is in great shape, no heat marks, not frozen, and spines freely (see attached photograph).Everything in the rear was brand-new! You can only imagine the amount of metal that was in all the gears and bearings.Sadly enough, 4WheelParts turned a blind eye to the situation. Knowing they, 4wheelParts, were on a major campaign to peddle G2 Axles here lately, I would strongly recommend that anyone who has purchased these axles perform a periodic check to insure you don’t run into the same situation.

Well it’s been three months and I have been told 3 different times my front axle is being sent out and not true so tired of being lied to. I will never do business with g2 axles ever again. Save your self time and money and buy a pro rock or look up fusion. G2 Will wast your time and money. They are always more then happy to take 5,000$ from you but never happy to give it back. Beyond fed up and tired of the run around stories

Complete core 44s. Be warned, I bought front and rear complete Core 44s and the front placer axle was an inch too long. Been waiting two weeks for an explanation so just ended up cutting it. Also the splines werent cut deep enough on one outer, so had to get a replacement. Ive been left confused as to what part was engineered? Also the paint is sub-par. Whilst the centre is powdercoated, the tubes and ears are painted without primer. Just touch this stuff and it falls off.Finishing off positive, now that theyre in I dont reckon theyll be an issue. But id buy a teraflex if doing it again.

I had an issue with not getting bolts with a cover I ordered thru a 3rd party that was giving me the runaround. The G2 support team were fantastic!! They got me the bolts I needed in a timely manner and kept constant communication with me thru the process. Highly recommend!!!

Orders a crate rock jock 60 for a TJ. Gears were set up wrong and ate themselves up within a week. I did the proper break in and all. Called then they said that there was no warranty. Ordered Yukon gears and had them set up properly and 4 years later still perfect. Front axle is a core44 so far so good but I do run RCV shafts. Attempted to contact them to order get part numbers for spare rear rock jock shafts and ask about 10 year warranty was told so such thing as warranty on axles 🤨.

Dont buy. I bought the core 44 thinking it was the best of the best. I was so wrong. With in a week of install leaking out of the cast of the tube. In was so wrong getting this axle should have gone custom.

Terrible quality and G2 doesnt stand behind their products. I unfortunately bought the Core 44 last year. This is a very poorly constructed and design axle and G2 does not stand behind it. I would not use it first of all if your tires are bigger than 35. I have 37 and the outter axle shaft (claimed to be chromoly by G2) has broke twice and G2 wont warranty it. Also, they had defective plug welds in the housing that theyve since rectified but those of us with the earlier model are stuck getting it fixed ourself. If you do any type of serious wheeling or want >35 tires this Core 44 is NOT for you. SInce Im already stuck with it, rather than buy yet another new set of Placer Gold shafts from G2 Im putting in RCVs. They stand behind their shafts with a lifetime warranty.
