Mr. Singh was very informative and knowledgeable concerning my vehicles (2008 Toyota Yaris) exhaust issues. My car came to him sounding like a motorboat and came back to me quiet as a ninja :) I felt very comfortable with him and he was EVER so patient with my know-it-all boyfriends never-ending questions. The mechanic was great at his job but the Manger of the place keep up upcharging for the part by $20 and when I told and show him the correct price for the he just dismissed me.

Oil change gone horribly wrong. I asked for proof of filter change, to establish trust in their service. Th owner was extremely hostile and rude, yelling at me for the request. He is a baligerant, little man who takes it personally when a perfect stranger doesnt trust implicitly in him during a business transaction. His naive understanding of human interaction and hostile approach to a reasonable customers request makes this Midas location one of the worst mechanic shops I have ever visited. AVOID AT ALL COST.

Went in after the most recent storm knocked out my power. My generator muffler rusted off and needed to replace it ASAP. This muffler is difficult to get so the guys were able to make me a custom Muffler with extension while I waited! Worked out great. Fast professional service.

Feels like a sleazy mechanic place, youll go in with a new car for something simple and then they always have the same lines, they shake their head and say oh u got like 5 things wrong with your car it will be 1500 dollars and we can do it right now! Its hilarious.

Owner Singh was extremely pleasant in the beginning. When I pointed out damage to my rims from a new tire install, his true colors showed. Extremely argumentative and dismissive and blamed me for the damage LOL. What a joke. Take your business elsewhere.

Ive started bringing my daughters SUV to Midas just this last year. I got tired of being ripped off by the Toyota Service Dept., so I decided to try the Midas in Commack. I have found that Singh, the Midas manager, has been honest in telling me what needs to be done to her truck, and he gives me a price that I think is fair. He doesnt come up with 9 different things that supposedly need to be done, he just does whats needed, and its done correctly. Id highly recommend Midas in Commack for service of your vehicle.

These guys charge inflated prices and scam customers. I arrived for an oil change. Ijaz Bokahri checked me (he was courteous and accommodating). When his partner “Singh” arrived, I was shown a nail in the tread of my front tire and was told i was lucky the tire has not blown up on me and that car was not safe to drive. I was basically duped into believing car was unsafe. I reluctantly agreed to the price he stated. I later found the cost to be very inflated and almost double what other places — even dealers — generally charge. When I brought this up to their attention, I was told since i agreed already, they wouldn’t budge. Don’t be duped by the nice/older gentleman at the counter. Do your self a favor and save yourself from being scammed. Take your business elsewhere. Btw, I understand they may me opening up another location in Huntington. So stay away from both!

Paul and Kevin where very accommodating - on a Sunday when my tail pipe to catalytic converter separated - I waited a brief amount of time and then they did a detailed inspection and welded the piece while I waited.I found the service professional and courteous and would recommend them in the future.They did not sell me stuff I didnt need and advised me in a professional manner.

Terrible service. I got an oil change on my one car, all went well. Guy gave me a good price and my car was ready in a reasonable amount of time. Took the second car to have the coolant flushed. Originally, they said 1.5 hours. I called the week I was taking it in and again they told me an 1.5 hour. I made sure I was the first one there and when I arrived, they said my car would be ready around 12-1pm (so that’s 3-4 hours after I drop it off). My car wasn’t ready until 2:30. I don’t have all day. I have a job I need to get back to. Totally inconvenient.Oh, and, I originally inquired about draining the transmission fluid and flushing the coolant. Wrong estimate!!!!!!

This location tried telling me I cant get the prices it was telling me online and my tire blew out after leaving because I only had $550 and they couldnt get me tires for that

I would definitely recommend Midas in Commack! They know what theyre doing and saying. Prices match the repairs ...they DO NOT try to rip you off! Very pleased.

I brought my car in to Midas for an oil change, with no appointment and they got me right in on a busy day. Very nice, very professional, and when I asked for a coupon, they offered 2 oil changes for $30. My husband always gets his car serviced here and they never push repairs on him, just tell him what will need replacing soon, or what they recommend. He used to repair cars, so he trusts them too. Plus their prices are very reasonable. They used to be sketchy but they must have new management because we are very very satisfied.

Second visit for oil change for 2 different vehicles over the last year. Anthony and the team were able to get me in fast and were courtious all around. Will be going back for sure.

The definition of a criminal. I went in for an inspection and the owner tried to sell me a list of services, some were not even halfway to the manufacturer recommendation but the best one was he recommended a power steering fluid flush. His face was priceless when I told him my truck has electric power steering so there is no fluid, he came back with oh thats new for that year, meanwhile its been around for several years.(most cars have electric steering gears its called and replaced hydraulic power steering systems) When I called Midus corporate they just put me back in touch with the same guy, he is the biggest thief out there. I only went there because pepboys was too busy and his shop was empty, now I know why.

I recently went in for an oil change and new battery. I was charged $190 for a new battery and $38 for installation of said battery. When I asked why it was so expensive, I was told it was a high end battery for cold weather cranking and that no other batteries were in stock. I reluctantly agreed. I finally got my invoice after I paid and checked the part number of the new battery. The same Interstate battery is available at competitors for $130 with free installation. I was overcharged nearly $100 for a battery! Ridiculous, especially after waiting 3+ hours for this service. Avoid this location for anything more than an oil change.

What a great experience I had the other day going to the midas in commack I was in and out in a good amt of time called the same day and got my NYS inspection.. thanks for your help that day. :)

Will not be back. They changed an astronomical amount for labor for such a simple task. Shame on me I guess for being willing to pay them 😕

I would recommend Midas Commack for their prompt and excellent service. Anthony and Ijaz were very professional and handled my car needs with care. The service was both fast and efficient and I plan on continuing as a customer with them for both my car needs.

Quick inspections they dont look that well equipped though. I would only come for an inspection and nothing more.

Just terrible. Highly recommend going anywhere else. Con artists. Tell you one thing then charge you another. Hope they get shut down so they can not harm any other customers.

At 10:30am on a Saturday they were too backed up to do an oil change and had me make an appointment for 11:30 on Monday. I get a call at 11 on Monday saying theyre goig to have to let me know how things look around 2. I call them at 2:30 and they say itll have to be tomorrow, and that theyll make sure they stay til I get there straight from work a little after 5. I call as Im leaving work at 5 and they barely remember the conversation from the previous day. Tomorrow... Im sorry, but I dont have it in me for an indefinite amount of tomorrows. And when I told the guy I was finally just going to go somewhere else, he just hung up on me. Ill save the list of adjectives Id like to describe this experience with to the imagination.

I would never recommend this place to any person in the local area!!! I set up an appointment at 9:30 am on a Friday for a oil change with a coupon from groupon that I had already paid for in advance. My husband when he had gotten there for the appointment handed the coupon to the gentleman at the counter and was told they ran out of oil!! that they were not able to do the oil change. If Midas in Commack knew prior that they had no oil (if there is any truth to that) why wouldnt they call us to reschedule the appointment for the oil change if that was the case. I than had called midas as a new customer asking for an appointment for an oil change that day they said to me no problem and what time was good for me not knowing I was the wife of the customer who they just turned away. I did let them know who I was at that point and how disgusted I was with the situation. They lied!!!!! No one should be treated like that. I dont recommend this place at all. That cant even supply you with an oil change!!!!!!NO Oil no service!!!!!

Absolute terrible service. Went for an inspection, Bob the manager tried selling me 4 tires and a brakes all round. I’m a mechanic- my car needed NONE of these things. Guy tried screwing me before he found out I knew what I was talking about. When I called him out he threw a tantrum and told me to get out. Completely incompetent AWFUL stupid service AVOID AT ALL COSTS THESE PEOPLE ARE CRIMINALS

Came in December for EGR valve and was upsold to $1400 job to tune up my vehicle Picked up my car and now my heat was no longer working.Check engine light came back on 3 times after they replaced the EGR valve.I had to return 3 times.Staff then informed me that my heat was no longer working because my water pump was now leaking.. But could be scheduled at a later date. February I returned for emissions testing and a new headlight. And asked to schedule the repair for water pump. Shop replaced water pump and headlight and then proceeded to inspection which could not be completed bc the cars computer needs to reset itselfbefore inspection. So one full month later I have no inspection sticker, car mysteriously wont reset itself, And now Im stuck at this shop while they now need to change sensors and want the car driven again to reset the computer lots of $$$$ later and still cant drive it without an inspection sticker...

SCAM ARTIST owner. STAY AWAY.I took my car in for a hard start. $750 later they told me it was the throttle body and I needed a tune-up, etc... FIVE visits later - yes, five - over the next few months they discover they were wrong and it is a head gasket. The weaselly owner Ajiz tells me he will take the cost of the throttle body part ($360) off the now $1200 he wants to charge me to fix what they didnt properly the first time.I take the car to three other shops to get a second opinion. Wouldnt you know it - its not even the head gasket. Its the fuel pump. In fact, Nissan put out a bulletin for this specific model/year on hard starts. Something both mechanics told me any auto body should know.I called and told him I didnt want to argue, but I wanted the $360 credited to a new fuel pump (which should be about $400). Two weeks went by and Ajiz never called. Then when I track him down he tells me that the credit was only good for the gasket. Then yells that I should take him to supreme court (yes, I know, it makes no sense). The guy is a SCUMBAG... and the shop mechanics are incompetent.I will be taking the issue up with American Express.STAY AWAY!

Guy who runs the store is very rude. Say they are open until 4 and when we get there at 2:45 for an oil change they say they are closing too soon to have it done.
