I really like the value convenience and selection of produce and healthy food items at this Kroger. The employees are all very pleasant and helpful. Especially the folks at the prepared foods deli section in the cheese section particularly.I do not like the trash filled parking lot and there is insufficient parking on busy shopping days. But, this is a first world problem LOL

Employees are nice, but every single time Ive been here since weve moved to the area there is not a single regular register open. Its only ever their self check out and its almost always backed all the way through the aisle.

Worst kroger ever.... consistently. Often no carts because they wont bring them in from parking lot. They usually have only one full service lane ooen so the checkout line can be 15 to 20 minutes long. Today they have variable power outages so you cant buy anything cold. Hortible

Do not go to kroger. Just go to Giant Eagle off 3rd worth the money to not have rotten fruit and long wait times.

I went to this Kroger today January 3rd 2021. I made a purchase and wanted cash back. The machine did not give me my cash nor did it print a receipt. A few employees tried assisting but said they couldnt verify my purchase. Had me pull up my transaction on my phone to prove my transaction. Over 45 minutes of waiting I was finally given my cash. Didnt receive an apology, or nothing. No customer should have to wait for their own money especially for that long. Very bad customer service.I will say the self checkout employee was great though.

I shop at Kroger for 90% of my food. I have always used Kroger coupons. I have used expired Kroger coupons a few times and have never had an issue. I have used them up to 7 days expired! Tonight I had over three hundred dollars worth of food. I was told that I was not able to use my four dollars worth of coupons that expired four days ago. So.... over four dollars, Kroger has lost me completely and now has to spend their time and money re shopping all of my food. I am a health care worker and work long hours. I do not always have time to go to the store so I do big trips. I will now out of principle NOT shop Kroger.

Close to campus and can be convenient.Was visiting store and saw many employees and customers non-mask compliant.Also most shocking was the person I saw carried a handgun into the store.Only use this as emergency krogers

Every single time I go into this kroger the entire store smells so terrible. I bought a piece of cake yesterday and there was two hairs packaged inside of it. Only half of the customers wear their masks correctly let alone wear them at all. I walk into this store and my mood is automatically completely ruined every single time. The experience is terrible.

The young lady working in the deli was rude and very lazy.

Management needs to hire someone to work the check out registers. Its all self checkout and its chaos. Hire more workers.

I usually shop here all the time but today was my last time I woke up early before work to beat the crowds to purchase some chicken. Well I go to put the chicken on counter at the register to find a piece of hair and a bug packaged I told the manager and all they did was throw the chicken in a cart along with other things they put back on the shelf.

The service desk is either closed or opening in ‘15 minutes’ every time I go to this location. Meanwhile there are groups of employees talking to each other in various spots around the store. There’s one cashier and one person assisting in self checkout. Any time you ask about service levels it’s always something to do with COVID-19. Kroger’s has to do better! Employees and customers not happy.

Probably my favorite grocery store in the campus area. Very clean, and well stocked. Employees here are mostly friendly, and staying busy. My only complaint is a lot of homeless people approach you in the parking lot, and the parking lot itself has trash/broken glass from time to time.

Not sure about all the workers there but a guy named Zach knew exactly what I needed that day. Asked him about protein and he gave me all the aisles and places I can get the different types of protein bars..Long story short. Krogers Kroger, but they had nice workers here.

Can be busy, and you might possibly see something weird. Although, the store is kept up for its location. Good deals, and the items are always plenty in stock. Produce section is clean, and has a good selection of fruits and vegetables.

Nice new building, well stocked with fresh vegetables and meats. Its a top of the line store.

Shop at the Short North location because its close to work (Im an Executive Chef for an OSU Sorority). Everytime I shop here, there are only 1 or 2 check out lanes open that have no less than 15 people in line, and both self check out lanes are backed up halfway down the nearest grocery aisle. I wont be shopping at this location anymore. Ill take my business to the Clintonville or Graceland Kroger. Its farther away but I can get in, out, and back to work faster.

The Liqour Store manager, Patty, isnt qualified nor has the demeanor to manage a store.As soon as we walked in, we were asked what are you here for? in an extremely condescending and un-welcoming way. We were continuously treated rudely.There are 1,000 liquor stores in this town that will give you much better service than this management and staff will offer.

This Kroger is consistently a mess, in more ways than one. Not only does this location not appropriately handle the influx of students during move-in, it legitimately consistently feels dirty. I stopped shopping here for my last year as a student at Ohio State and never regretted it. Go to Lucky’s Market instead!!

How hard is it to have hand carts for customers? In the last year have had to grab used carts because this store is incompetent.

Theyre pretty great. Awesome location, Id be in a food desert if they werent here especially after Neil avenue closed. I like that for the most part its the same store every time. I like their produce a lot. I like their organization, their promotions change but the store is easy to navigate and I can go in, list in hand, and it takes 5 minutes. Of course some times its city wide, lets go to Kroger day and the lines get long, but thats not their fault.

Good customer service, and cheap price. Its kept very clean as well. There is free food at the bakery near the cheese place every morning. Staff is helpful as well. Though I kinda think the products are a little pricey.

While the selections of food items was wide and looked fresh the aisles felt very small. Hardly enough room to get two carts down an aisle. During check out the process was smooth enough even though I was bagging my own groceries despite an employee doing nothing on either side of my checkout lane. Perhaps its because Ive become accustomed to my local Kroger where the employees seem to care more about customers but this one gave the definitive impression that I the customer was in the employees way.

Is this the nicest Kroger youve ever been to? No. Is it the worst? Probably not. As others have mentioned, the parking lot is WAY too small for the store and, for some reason, has multiple enormous shipping containers sitting in the NE corner of it for as long as I can remember, taking up much needed space. Depending what day/time of day you go, this place can also get absolutely packed. At least they added a Starbucks. And they at least have 2 areas of self-checkouts flanking the regular checkout lanes. The whole store really needs a makeover to make it larger, nicer, easier to navigate and better accommodating for how crowded it gets. I shop here because I live 2 minutes away but I should probably definitely start branching out to other area grocery stores for my own sanitys sake.

Most employees are great, early morning and sometimes at customer service they can be down right nasty and rude. “Managers” aplenty walking about but not many to run cash registers or at least maintain the flow of customers at a decent speed. Some seem like they rather be anywhere but there.

I stopped in on 1.4.20 about 6:30 p.m. to exchange an item. I got what I needed and returned to the front. I am one of seven people in line. The lady at the register is doing her job while Dani and Tyler were gabbing about how slow things are, when break is happening, and about their recent lives.Neither employee bothered to help with customers.Bad call!

Wide variety and great selection of wine, and cheese pairings. Found some awesome manager specials. speedy checkout. The u scans are just 2 close 2 each other.

This Kroger is fine. I can but food. ...But literally every Kroger is organized differently which makes even trying to just buy milk into a freaking trek. At least Meijer or Trader Joes are like 99% identical.

I have never once considered the service of a stocker at a grocery store, but when my friend and I pulled up looking for mint 20 minutes before close we were taken care of. We wanted mint for a cocktail. We needed this mint. We just had to have fresh mint. Only to find no mint. So what does Chase do? This sweetheart calls the other surrounding Kroger’s to see if they have mint. He tracked down our mint! Give Chase a raise honestly he was just trying to stick shelves and stopped everything to help us out. 5 stars for Chase!

Last time i shopped here i came out of the store to a tow truck trying to hook my car. Driver said lady in charge called and lied saying its been here for days. Dont know where the mixup happened but i have not been/nor will i ever shop at this location again.

This Kroger is very nice. The employees are always helpful and friendly. My only complaint would be the bathroom, Ive only been in it twice but both times it was pretty bad. Other than that, I love this Kroger!

Stood at the deli to get some potato salad two young ladies see me standing there did not greet me at all walked away and after 10 minutes of standing there I didnt get what Im looking for great customer service appreciate it would have gave half a star but it didnt give me the option

The staffs here are mostly very friendly and helpful too - theyll help you out with any price mismatches you notice and are awesome peeps! have been frequenting this place for all my grocery needs within the past year and will do so for years to come!

We call it Kroghetto for a reason. It can be a little sketchy and they run out of food sometimes because of the high customer load but otherwise it does its job. I went here for 3 years and was generally pleased. Inexpensive and easy to maneuver around the store

If the sales were consistent on the items I buy frequently, Id give it 4 stars. I download the coupons on the Kroger site, but sometimes - like today - the savings dont make much difference. But Id rather shop here than Giant Eagle, even though the first of each month can be a nightmare, and if you go through the line, you may or may not have to bag your own groceries, because the designated bagger(s) is/are at another register (thats why I almost always use the self checkout), and there can be some sketchy characters hanging around outside, or inside the store (its located in a mixed area).

It is VERY VERY BUSY!!! Yes it is down the street from OSU, but all in all it is clean. My only complaint is for those who work in the produce area. It would be nice to educate the employees as to where fruits and vegetables come from, I try at all costs to purchase locally. If not then U.S.A

The cashier was not friendly. Nothing worse than when you say hello or have a good day and they just stare at you or ignore you. Some great staff here but all too often people who are very closed off. Put them somewhere else besides the register if they cant be the least bit friendly to customers.

In 2021 this review gets downgraded from 3 to 2. The store is poorly staffed, especially at many busy times when the lines for down the aisles. It is poorly stocked, I couldnt buy a whole chicken for a few weeks. There is a lot of litter and garbage around the building which blows into the neighborhood. Carts are often not available because they havent been collected. The cheese shop does a great job and so does the seafood department.Update: 4/17/2021: not many cars in the parking lot yet huge lines in the store. The last few weeks shelves have been empty, carts not in the cart area and long lines. This Kroger is so poorly cared for. Its re-earning its bad reputation.

I love the convenience of this Kroger. Even when its pretty busy there are enough checkouts with attendants (or self service) to get through pretty quickly. The pharmacy staff have also been very good to work with.

A fine place to shop in preparation for your game day experience. Standard fill service Krogers with detached full service liquor store on the side. Also a pharmacy. There are occasionally some characters who patron this location but everyone here is a big time Buckeye fan, so you wont have any problem finding the groceries you need!

I shopped at the previous Krogers at this location. The staff here is so very friendly. Better selection than most Krogers in the area. It would be great if they added a Turkey Hill across the street.

First things first I never try to go here even if its 2 blocks away but I didnt have time to drive to the krogers in clintonville. Went here today and after I got to self check out there was a price problem. There were three emplyees at the self check out register but non of them responded to the call light. Had to flag down another emplyee for help. Then when I was about to check out it said I had more then 20 iteam( it said no where that there was an item limit). So I waited again for an emplyee with 2 of the 3 other customers needing help to. I was in self for 15 minutes only about 5 of those minutes was I scanning things. Avoid this krogers if you can

Tried to order food via their app. Shopper bought themselves over $200 worth of groceries off of my card and Kroger refuses to refund it to me. They initially claimed I would get a refund after 2 business days, but it has been nearly a week now and they are doing nothing to resolve this issue.I might be filing a police report today. This is outright theft at this point.

They have excellent deals nearly every week. Their app is also super helpful and a good money saver. The only thing is that this location has trouble staying well stocked on some of their most popular items. Go within a day or two of delivery day to be sure you get what youre looking for.

Good variety of Boars Head at the deli. Customer service line is always slow and very busy. Nice view of High St. by the produce section. Alot of Manager Special markdowns throughout the store which is always a plus.

This Kroger is okay. They are never really stocked very well though. I cant get half of what I am looking for most of the time. I wish they had more options and stock. Sometimes things are off of the shelf for months. The customer service is pretty good here though.

It feels like you are in an institution when you enter the front door. Makeshift wannabe police greet you so as to let every body know that there is a police presence which can be a good thing,however, they do not allow me to bring in my therapy dog licensed tagged with papers into the store. Also. I am 61 yrs old and cannot buy smokes beer or wine without valid ID... FEDERAL law governs permits for dogs and yet after showing the so called officer the tags,license and papers for the dog I was informed that due to Kroger policy I could not bring in the dog. And I could not buy smokes or wine without valid ID. Its obvious that Im over 21 yrs old by 40 + yrs. Its all to easy to see. Kroger at this location need some help!!!

Produce is usually pretty good. Way better if you can walk here, the parking lot can be a nightmare. A bit on the small side, so selection can be limited, but overall really nice to have this place in the neighborhood.

This Kroger store is the closest grocery store to me (right around the corner, in easy walking distance), but I only go there if I’m desperate. This store is perennially understaffed (most times there isn’t a single lane serviced by staff—only self-service checkouts are available, and there’s always a problem that requires staff intervention). The parking lot is ALWAYS clogged with shopping carts that thoughtful customers can’t even bring inside because of wheel locks. It’s a horribly managed store in every single respect, and I don’t understand why. It’s located at the beginning of the Short North and near massive amounts of student housing (luxury condo right across the street) as well as resident housing. Who at corporate Kroger is attending to this horribly managed store? It

I used to work for a banner store under Kroger corporate. I love this as a consumer and as a former employer.

This was the most Kroger Kroger Ive ever been to. There were cash registers, lots of selections of beef and veggies, and drinks galore. I would definitely rate this visit as five thumbs up plus a bonus star on the Braneen scale of grocery ratings.

I like this Kroger. The cheese counter is large and extensive. The bakery is very nice too. The bad thing is the location. There are alot of pan handlers that hang around in front of the store.

Favorite Kroger in Columbus. Next best is the one off North Broadway. Best selection of organic and natural foods and they regularly replenish fruits and vegetables. Beware long lines and self checkouts at this south campus location.

This is my favorite Kroger of all the stores. Only thing I dont like is the beverage area where you walk in the door is messed up. No cups glasses coffee and hot chocolate is out. I knew they had a problem with people taking freely but I watched its those who can usually pay who do. And the manager hes not so good

This store is almost always busy. But it seriously has some of the freshest produce. Compared to other stores and their produce, say of the Super Center types, this place is top notch.

The location is great, but the store is always out of stock on tons of things. The produce section is especially poorly managed. The seafood is also dubious, and once the head guy in that dept told me Oysters dont really go bad when I asked how fresh they were. The staff clearly doesnt care about doing a good job, and I can only assume its because management is completely checked out.

Wyatt is an amazing manager!! Coming from a past retail manager we need more managers like Wyatt!! After taking a survey he asked what he could do to make my shopping experience better, I expressed my wine is always out of stock!! He got right on it and had a case special ordered just for me!! Customer service was so-so. No one was overly willing to help or friendly, but they were not rude. This is a smaller Kroger, but they had an ok variety. If you shop the weekly flyer and use your Kroger Card, you can get some good deals.

Very nice, clean store. Only thing that I didnt like was when I went there later at night is that they only had the self check outs. They had 1 (very nice) younger girl having 2 deal w/all the problems, get cigarettes, etc. She did a wonderful job but at least 1 register should have been open. I guess just go there earlier.

Went to cash my check today, and instead of employee doing the proper job. I was informed that my check was not able to be cashed and turned away with no further option. Especially after waiting in line for 20 mins plus rush hour traffic and all because she didnt take the time to read the check where it clearly says (Call this # to verify the check). Nobody wants to get off work and go to your place of business and deal with this. Please dont let it happen to too many people because someone else may react differently and would be correct in doing so.

Its pretty much always a mad house in there because it is the closest grocery to OSU campus. It is well kept though and there is plenty of selection. Not as much organic/vegetarian/vegan stuff as the Kroger on Chambers Rd though, if thats important to you.

Ive had many issues at this store, but recently I bought some cheese on sale, and when I tried it the next day it tasted rancid. I tried to return it today, and both the employee at the service desk and the manager in charge refused to accept the return, claiming that their store policy doesnt allow them to accept returns for items with a markdown sticker. The manager was unable to show me where in the return policy or anywhere else that this rule is documented. After this interaction was over, the manager followed me around the store as if I were a suspected thief. Very disrespectful.This isnt the first time Ive had trouble returning things at this store. Ive bought moldy or otherwise unpalatable food on multiple occasions, and each time they treated me like I was scamming them. This is the first time Ive had to return something in a while, and apparently things havent changed. 11/10 would recommend you take your business elsewhere.

Best grocery around, just like the front street location. Highlights for me include best beer selection around (with make your own sixers and better selection than Viking) and great liquor store. Additional security guard in liquor store helps and makes me feel safe (they can just be a little dumb).

The guy at the liquor store is an absolute idiot. He denied alcohol when I showed him my ID from Arkansas stating it is fake when I had supporting debit and credit cards. Please put someone sensible in the store

Store is relatively new and has a decent selection of produce and organic foods. Prices are good. The bistro staff is nice but the hours and selection are limited. Cheese counter is large but not particularly broad in selection. Products in the store are frequently out of stock or not replenished. The store isnt particularly clean. Restrooms are consistently disgusting; Ive heard men snoring in the stalls or found cans of open beer inside.

I had a good experience recently where I purchased a bad product and tried to return it. When I returned it, the associate would only give me half of my money back because I opened the product. So, I filled out a survey from my receipt and the store manager reached out to me the next day to rectify the situation. I was impressed. Overall I would say the store could be a little cleaner, but its usually well-stocked and has what I need.

I feel like some of the attendants arent terribly attentive, but the store is well organized and stocked.

Considering the weather and how early my visit was there was good attentive customer service and the employees were working hard and stocking shelves with willingness to help 💜

Although they put a ton of work into this store, it still gets a lot of shady visitors. They do have daily sushi available and great meat/produce. The detached liquor store around the corner is a nice touch too.
