I had such a positive experience at Northwest Vision. All the staff were so helpful and kind. I hadnt had my eyes looked at in a few years and it was great to have people work so hard to get me an updated prescription.

Doctor and staff really friendly, kind, and helpful. FIVE stars to them. I knocked off a star because the pre-doctor part of the exam took a long time and although they have a nice selection of glasses, it is a little small.

Dr. Steven Manning is very thorough and efficient. I felt quite confident in his examination and diagnosis of my eyes. We are very happy with Dr. Manning at North Star. My husband, myself, both of my daughters as well as their children are all patients of his. It is nice to know that he has taken advanced Practice Fellowship in Binocular Vision as well as Pediatrics at OSU.

I’ve been going here for years and I will continue to! Since the pandemic, they have lots of precautions in place and it’s very organized and easy to follow. Dr. Steven Manning is awesome, charismatic and he showed me a lot and made everything easy to understand! The rest of the staff were also positive and helped me find a pair of glasses while finding the best prices with my insurance plan. I can also tell they have a good synergy as coworkers, which makes the environment more welcoming. I left feeling positive, too!

Good caring folks and professionals. Very tough transitions in 2020 but I am happy to remain part of the evolving family as we lost dr Strohl to retirement and our dear Diane to the next life. I brought my 15 yo son in for his first eye exam. Everyone was safe and friendly. Dr. Manning clearly explained each procedure and what to expect. This put my son at ease. It was a very good visit and and I will be bringing my other children as they need their vision checked.

Everyone at North Star vision center was super amazing. They diagnosed me with eye strain and got me set up with lenses that will help with that, and helped me out with a treatment for my chronic dry eye. Im super glad I switched to them, and they are absolutely wonderful to work with.

Dr Steve Manning was very professional and made me feel relaxed and asked a lot of questions and recommended some great eye products that will help me with my dry eyes. And the rest of the staff are very friendly and professional. Planning to return for a follow up in November 2020. :)

I am NOT a fan of going to the optometrist. The thought of my annual eye exam generates anxiety before I even sit down for the dreaded glaucoma puff test. Luckily, the wonderful staff at North Star Vision as able to give me a complete and thorough exam even though Im not the best patient to work with. I had a copy of my prescription in hand before we even began to talk about new glasses, but with their great selection of eye ware, I had ordered two pair of glasses and one pair of prescription sunglasses before I left. I couldnt be happier with my new glasses and would not hesitate in recommending North Star Vision Center.

The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, and Dr. Strohl was great - he even took the time to thoroughly explain the results and images derived from the exams. Dr. Early is AMAZING. My 8 yr old son is usually hesitant and sometimes has to be restrained at doctors appointments. Dr. Early and his staff are fun, positive, patient, explain concisely and honestly what is happening, and easily relate to my son, so that he cooperates and the visits go easily and pleasantly. Im so happy my son is a patient here!

Dr. Strohl is wonderful. He talks about the different areas of the eyes and what is good/bad and why. He takes his time talking with you and doesnt rush. The ladies on his team are great people too. Bobbie and Diane are very knowledgeable and care about making sure your glasses are correct and fit well.

The staff is very kind and knowledgeable. They make you feel like part of the family. Drs Strohl and Early are very professional and great at their job. I would advise anyone who needs eye care to visit them.

She also broke down my insurance benefits and pricing for me. Gave me a date span of when to expect them and the things well go over when they come in. I look forward to working with them again!

I love coming to this place. They are wonderful people who give great care in their service. The glasses I receive through them are great and they have a very large variety. I would recommend them to anyone!

An error was made when I first visited this office. Part of the blame was on me and part on them. When they were made aware of the issue, they were very responsive and helped rectify the issue. Dr. Strohl is very professional and honest. Be aware of your insurance policies before you go and ask questions if you are not sure what you will be charged for.

North Star Vision is a wonderful place to visit. The staff is always helpful and careing. They walk you through every step and are very detailed. I would recommend them to anyone!

Dr. Manning, the new optometrist at North Star, seems like a good successor to Dr. Strohl, my optometrist for many years. He takes his time and listens well. Diane, the optician, helped me pick a very nice set of frames.

Dr. Strohl was very nice and knowledgeable. UNFORTUNATELY the staff that he has surrounded himself with in this office is appalling. The optician speaks to you in condescending tones and reprimands you for not ordering glasses and/or contacts from their office. I was treated very curtly and rudely. God forbid you need a copy of your prescription. I work in a healthcare setting and I would be fired if I spoke to patients the way that I was treated. I will not ever return to this office. 1 start only because zero stars is not an option.

The staff member there was extremely rude and she even pushed hard on my nose when I tried my new glasses on. She was also very reluctant when I asked her to adjust it. I will never go back.

Im a new patient and I have been to many eye doctors around Columbus and by far this experience at North Star Vision was one of the best experiences Ive ever had. Dr. Strohl is efficient and very through. The staff is friendly and go out of there way to provide the best service from the moment you schedule an appointment. I will be back and happy that my family has a new place to call home for all of our eyecare needs going forward.

I have been a patient of Dr. Strohls for over 20 years. I have always found Dr. Strohl and his staff to be friendly, professional, and accommodating. Dr. Strohl, Sandy, Diane, Bobbi, and Nancy have always provided us with excellent care. Frame selection is great. Diane is the best when it comes to finding just the right one. I have never left this office feeling dissatisfied. I couldnt imagine going anywhere else.

Been there once only and had my eyes checked. Experience with doctor was good but overall not as satisfactory, also price for their frames was outrageous. I can get two frames or more for the same price I would spend there to get one pair of glasses.

The Optometrist Katy Klabunde performed my eye exam. I ordered a years supply of contact lenses using the prescription she wrote.After about 10 days of wearing the contact lenses, I noticed blurred vision. I returned all of the unused contact lenses to North Star Vision and had my eyes reexamined by Katy Klabunde. She acknowledged that the original prescription was incorrect (not strong enough for either eye) and gave me a revised prescription. However, North Star Vision would only refund me for the contact lens boxes that were unopened, even though the contact lenses are unused and remain in their original boxes. It is extremely disappointing that any licensed Optometrist that admits that they mistakenly wrote the incorrect strength prescription will not also make it right by refunding or exchanging the contact lenses for the correct strength lenses. In total, North Star Vision charged me $860.00 for a years supply of contact lenses, but only refunded me for $430.00. I am now out $430.00 due to their negligence.In addition, the customer service and selection of eyeglasses is horrendous. Easily the worst customer service experience Ive ever had with a medical provider. A business to be avoided.

Dr. Strohl informed me that my blood vessels indicated that I had high blood pressure. I made an appointment with my family doctor; and I did have high blood pressure. I was prescribed a prescription and I am doing very well. Dr. Strohl may have saved my life.

If I could give this place no stars, I would. Too many negatives to cover but here are a few:1. Dr. Katy Klabunde was 30 minutes late to my appt. Not a big deal but then she went on to tell me the reason was that they messed up her dry cleaning at the dry cleaners. She would not stop going on about it which would have been fine for some people but wait you made me wait for your dry cleaning...not professional2. My prescription she gave me after my exam was WAY off. So bad I even wore the contacts out of the place and almost got into two accidents on the way home. Ive worn contacts for years!!!! Even when stating the prescription was wrong, every person I talked to said oh give it some time. I dont think this place can correct astigmatisms or something because I have a slight one but you would think they would teach this in Eye Doc 101.3. When walking to the receptionist and not being able to see, there was an employee who was very pushy to try to get me to buy contact accessories (not to be confused with the actual receptionist). All I could see was an overweight dark haired lady who looked like wearing scrubs. Yes! The prescription was that bad. But what was worse is she said I owed all the balance up front for my visit and contact exam. I informed her I had insurance and she needed to submit to them first and she didnt quite understand. I dont mind paying a copay but she was asking for at least 150 bucks. Whats wrong with these people?4. This place is so messed up the receptionist apologized and gave off the impression this is normal activity at this place. I dont see how they will stay in business.AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!

I had an eyelash in one of my eyes during the exam. The doctor used forceps to remove it. No big deal right? When I go to check out, I see a charge of $60 for removal of eyelash. Are you freakin kidding me? Youre going to charge me $60 to spend 5 seconds to remove an eyelash from my eye? If you had told me you were going to assess this exorbitant charge, I wouldve stuck my finger in there and removed it myself. This is an unreasonable charge that no rational patient would expect; therefore, if you are going to be jerks and assess it, at a minimum you need to notify the patient before doing it so they can tell you to f@%* off.

I got my eye prescription from them, but decided to get glasses from Warby Parker. Warby Parker contacted Northstar Vision 8-10 times to get my prescription from them, but they never answered. This left me without glasses for a very long time and I’m very disappointed in how unprofessional this was.
