My daughter and I were on a road trip when the AC stopped blowing cold air (in July). Thanks to a referral from a local friend, I brought my car into Tuffy. Service was professional, friendly, educational, and price was more than fair. Mike is an absolute stand up guy. What was also impressive was every customer who was in during our short visit was referred by someone, a true testament to this small business owner.

I took my daughters car in because her ABS/Traction/HILL ASSIST lights were on. I explained that my daughter was unemployed because of Covid and that me and my wife were paying to fix her car. He checked out the car and determined that a wire was disconnected and reconnected it to fix the problem. When I showed up to pay the diagnostic fee he said it was a simple fix and that there was no charge. Thank you so much. I will definitely use this shop again.

Recently made my first visit to this shop to get an alignment. The Alignment was straight forward, but Mike and his guys took the time to diagnose and fix a leaky radiator hose that had twice stumped mechanics at my dealership. Appreciated the good service and straight forward approach.

They are very good at making your repair work w/o disrupting your schedule any more than is necessary. The work is quality, friendly, & the price quoted us was lower than the actual. I go to this Tuffy for all my auto needs. Oil Changes, new tires, A/C recharge, whatever it may be. Mike is an honest person. He and his staff do the job quick and efficient and for a fair price. They will not steer you wrong.

I have been going to this Tuffy for a couple of years now and I can honestly say its the best auto service shop I have been to. They are always friendly and the prices are very reasonable. There have been multiple times where they have fixed something for little to no cost at all when the problem turns out to be something simple, and this makes me trust that when they find something more serious I know that they arent overcharging me. I have used this auto service center on numerous occasions and until my last visit have always been entirely satisfied. I will not use them again but I wish them well. I was told by the owner he gave me a quote for the work which was not the case. What he did do was phone me and tell me the car was ready and could be collected and then he told me the cost. That is not giving a quote. In all other respects I recommend this auto service center without reservation.

Great customer service, very nice to speak with. I would have given them a 5 star but when I asked for a.price for a.specific job I was told it would be easier to replace the engine, even though the cost to do so would be almost twice as much. Other than that the person I spoke to was very courteous and we chatted about classic cars for awhile after he answered my technical question.

Ive been taking our cars to this Tuffy location for the past 12 years. They do everything from oil changes to body work and more. Fully comprehensive servicing at great prices.Ill continue to take our cars here as long as Mike is in business or until Im too old to drive!

So glad I finally found a mechanic that treats me like I have a brain! Very helpful and reasonably priced. I had to have my entire exhaust system replaced which required a lot of custom welding and they did an awesome job. I wont take my car anywhere else!

I really felt like Mike was willing to go that extra step to take care of me. We had just bought a car that didnt work correctly and the dealer wouldnt do us any favors. Felt cheated and helpless, and Mike stepped up to deliver excellent service with a quick turnaround. Do you know how rare that is? From our Ford F-150, Camaro, Mercedes, Enclave, to the Impala, we only trust Mike. He is honest and I love that he has the good ole boy type of shop. My friends and family now use his business even though he is over an hour away to some of them.

After my last auto shop ignored my failing breaks I got a next day inspection here. They brought my breaks back from the grave and even took the time to show me exactly what the problems were while my breaks were dismantled. It ended up being a little pricey but totally worth the peace of mind that they were serviced properly.

These dudes are good people. I spent my entire friday trying to get my truck aligned. I took it to firestone before work and they said they could do it. They called me at noon and said it was too big. I spent the next few hours calling every alignment shop in Columbus. Either nobody could get me in on that short of notice or there racks where to small for my truck. I called Mike at 330 and he said he would get me in. I took my truck down and they pulled it right in despite having every bay filled. They did the alignment and everything is running great. The prices was very very reasonable. Mike the owner was a very down to earth guy and the customer service was awesome. I think some of these reviews are just people mad that they actually have to put some money in their vehicles. I will for sure be back.

My daughter and I were waiting on an Uber while the car was being fixed, the owner spoke to the driver to ensure our safety and turns out he knew him from verifying that the Uber car was certified to drive! He explained the car troubles, didnt overcharge us or do unnecessary work which could have been costly. I definitely recommend and will return for all future maintenance.

Honest, fair and straight to the point! They have been taking care of our cars for years.

Our first stop in we were pleased because they werent going to charge to have them take a look at what was causing the problem. The cost of repairs were too high so we made a different decision for ourselves and wasnt a reflection of the company.However, we returned at a later date for a different repair that my husband had already done research on the need. The mechanic he spoke to told him what needed done and that if a repair shop said we needed a new oil pan they were trying to rip us off. That was exactly what Tuffys told us needed done.We did not just go on the original information given, we decide to get a second opinion. After a quick search and reading a few reviews we went to another mechanic to see if the results would be the same. They were not the same as what Tuffys told us. The needed repair was the same as the original mechanic advised for my husband to have done. In the end our truck was repaired for approximately $600 to $800 less than the cost Tuffys estimated. It isnt because of going to a cheap mechanic it is because we went to an honest mechanic who was willing to fix the actual problem. We did not need the oil pan replaced just the plug.All of this then brings into question the information we received the first time we were in for a repair. We may have been able to save ourselves a lot of time, money, and stress if we had gone some where else. Thankfully we didnt get those original repairs done at Tuffys knowing what we know now.We will not be back to Tuffys on Cleveland and Schrock Road and most likely any location ever again.Lesson learned even when in a stressful situation always take time to read reviews and get information on a service you need. Be willing to get a second opinion before jumping into a decision.

Im the owner of this TUFFY and I appreciate any and all of my customers. As I am prone to saying my customers happiness is directly related to my mortgage. I have owned this place for about 8 years and work tirelessly to try to make peoples experience a good one. Having said that I realize not everyone can be pleased ,and as calm as most of the complaints sound its not always the case. I also know it is easier to complain than to say how wonderful or just good someone is. I dont ask my customers to go on here and leave messages or itmight look at little different. Last year we serviced over 1800 cars and looked at and didnt charge an additional 250 cars. Im grateful for everyone who graces us with there patronage and will always tell you the truth good or bad. They have become my new mechanics. I came to them almost a month ago with serious problems (like my 2004 CRV was sitting on the frame ugh). They took their time showing me the problems, explaining what needed done right away and how to solve a few other problems on my own. Mykel worked with me on the price. I felt like they were honest mechanics. It is sooo much better then it was a few years ago. Mykel has turned this shop around and is doing a good job with customer service. He wants you to be a customer for life. If do you end up going to this shop - tell them Marlo (a friend of Mal) sent you.

Walked in to have a check engine light diagnosed, and to proceed with repairs from there. When I brought up having the engine diagnosed to one of the guys, he laughed and said, yeah for one hundred bucks. It aint free.Really? Everywhere else Ive gone has offered to diagnose it free of charge because thats what gets them customers.I walked out and got my car fixed elsewhere.Work on your customer service.

I went in (having a tuffy quote from 3 days earlier) to get my control arm fixed, well 8 hours later they call me just before closing with a 1800 quote. This was their one time to be my neighborhood mechanic and they dropped the ball multiple times. I was hoping to find somewhere I could get my car fixed in Columbus without being ripped off -- I was wrong, avoid anything more then oil and tires.. but buyer beware still.

Got my car in quick for brake service, down side was the parts cost really seemed high.

I own Outdoor Makeovers and we took care of their lawn last year and the manager Mikel Rives has refused to pay me the $450.00 that he owes me. I have sent numerous letters, left numerous voicemails and even stopped in to pick up the payment and he keeps telling me it will be the following week. Well, it has been almost a year and he still has not paid or returned any of my calls or letters. Being that we are both in the service industry you would think that he would pay the company that already performed a service. You cannot walk out of their shop with your car if you do not pay. I have called the Tuffy corporate office and they told me that it was not their problem but the individual shops problem. To me this is unacceptable but shows me the way he conducts his business which is unacceptable in my eyes. I will never do business with another Tuffy shop due to my experience with Mikel Rives and his shop.

GO TO ONE CALL, NOT THIS DUMP THAT PREYS ON YOU NOT KNOWING ANYTHING. This dealer will talk very sweetly to shmooze you, but will charge 30% to 55% more than other dealers. His hook is he lowballs himself. Hell say, That will cost $400- $800 when other machanics are say $550. You think you might save but then he charges you $800 like I said it would be. He wont even ask you what brand of aftermarket parts you want. I should have known better when one of his previous mechanics came in to talk to his buddies a few minutes, and the owner started trash talking the employee really badly the moment he left. Unprofessional.

On Friday Oct 18, 2014, the exhaust pipe of my Jeep broke while driving. I called Tuffys at the Southwest corner of Schrock and Cleveland and talked to Michael, Had my vehicle towed.This shop had put in a new Converter in 2009 and a muffler in 2011 in this car. I thought I paid good money. I still have the bills. Michael called me later in the day and told me I needed a new converter, a new muffler along witha lots of other stuff (gaskets, pipes etc) with it and gave me a cos testimate of $1000, but reduced by $200 as my muflfer had a lifetime warranty from Tuffys. I denied the service and picked up my car.I asked Michael if he will give me the written estimate. He denied. I took my car to Maids. They fixed it for $179 and found that the converter had no problem..All they had to do was some welding. I will be happy to show my bill from Midas I will let the reader conclude why I wont recommend Tuffys to anyone and never ever take my car there for anything

The owner/manager Mike is a greedy shyster. This shop purposefully in an effort to garner more money, low balls installation labor/parts cost estimates, in order to get your car on their car lift. Once captive in their shop the estimate seems to become irrelevant and the job much more complicated and expensive. I wouldnt recommend this shop to anyone!
