This is the oldest pawn shop in Columbia SC. It is family owned since 1941. Jay Friedman and his family have ran and operated in Columbia and is the Most Trusted shop in the area. They truly pay too dollar for gold and silver and have been on TV with a hidden price buying of gold. They were head and shoulders above any jewelry store and pawn shops Not to mention they treat you like family every time. They have some of the best diamonds and jewelry on the planet. Let me not forget to mention Guitars. The shop has Guitars to revival any music store in the area and lots of top musicians come to the shop just to buy. But they also trade items and pay the most of any shop. I personally shop at the store for all my needs. Have never been disappointed in over 40 years. Go give them a try. You will thank me for the tip. Honest people or how else could they stay in business all this time. But go see for yourself.

Best pawn shop in the area. The guys working here are always friendly and professional. They will go above and beyond to help you out. They also have good prices on all of there stuff.

Jay is very helpful and he always makes sure he doesnt leave you empty handed, hes saved my grandma from losing her home a hundred of times and we are so grateful to this awesome pawn shop!

I immediately felt very UNwelcomed, some kind of bother that I even walked in attempting to do a LOT more business than I was able to carry in... HOWEVER, as I was made to feel dismissed after a few minutes of being there, why would I? Im not quite sure of their M.O., but I certainly will stay AWAY from this shop...I cringe to see whats become of Old Columbia!?!?!?

This IS NOT an ordinary pawn shop. I visited several others to trade a very nice guitar for an engagement ring. The minute I explained and opened the guitar case these folks were trying to put together the best deal for me they could and they absolutely did. Much more than I expected and none of the typical back and forth. Everyone in there were great to deal with and the entire experience was awesome. I was in a bind and borrowed a hundred bucks on an instrument that they would have loaned more and the loan interest was going as half the amount that a pawn shop would charge. But the most important part was the fact that I had to go to the hospital and they could have sold my instrument for way over a thousand because its 2600 bucks and there arent many around. But the were not greedy like most pawn shops and let me go over and beyond the contract. My point is they are the best in my eyes thats around town

I bought my first professional grade guitar from Jays dad, Sig at age 16, 47 plus years ago, and had numerous loans to help through hard times. I first met jay (the owner) 9 years ago at bonded loan. Despite my young age jay treated me fairly and with respect. Over the years I have had the privilege to get to know everyone at bonded loan and they have always all gone out of there way to help me in anyway they could. Not only do they have a warm an welcoming attitude they are also experts in their trade. Both jay and his son Louis are certified graduate gemologists in both diamonds and colored stones. You can trust that not only will they be absolutely fair with you but they also have the knowledge and experience to truly understand the market.

Great place to sell or pawn gold and silver. Very knowledgeable and competitive on prices. Ive always been treated great and helped as soon as i walked in. Only thing i think could be better would be a larger selection but that would be hard with the amount of space available to them.

I had been doing business here for many years, but never again. The staff will insult your jewelry even thought you may have spent a lot of money on it. Not very personable. You would do better buying and selling yourself online. I have made more money on certain apps on my phone then I would get here. Thanks but no thanks.
