Great place to go for work on your car. Helpful, timely and fair. Easy location to get to. Listened to history of what had been done on car, which is unusual when dealing with older female customer. Good prices and good follow through. Been through 2 oil changes, tire rotation and one other problem, and lug tightening free after rotation. Same staff throughout, which seems unusual in such a business, which made appointments smoother, less explaining. And even the free work was done quickly and I was in and out in no time.

These are extremely down to earth people I’ve been coming here since 2013 with my 2002 saturn and cavalier; they have always been willing to work things out with me regarding my car repair work, even when I didn’t have all the funds to cover the labor or even if had to let my car sit at their shop a few days because I didn’t have the money right away they didn’t charge me a storage fee and they were extremely friendly and positive people and I appreciate that the most! I recommend this place to most of my young adult friends who are either in school or just needing a ride to get back and forth to work.

What a blessing Tires Plus was this last Sunday. I was in town for a wedding, one of my tires was on the brink of having the side wall explode out, and found that 95 percent of the tires shops in Columbia must close down on Sundays, but Tires Plus pulled through. The two guys were friendly, knowledgeable, in and out in 15 mins, and helped me get back on the road to KS. I tip my hat to the two of you and Tires Plus of Columbia.

Took my car in to get the alternator replaced, and they called back within a few hours to let me know that the alternator on my car was under recall and that I could likely get it replaced for free at the dealership.1) they were thorough here to check in on potential recall items.2) they could have simply withheld the information, and replaced it anyway but they did not. I ended up getting the alternator replaced for free.I will come back to Tires Plus for further car needs.

Awesome place. Went in with a drivers side window motor that was not working. They confirmed it needed to be replaced. To save me money, a used part was ordered. Shortly before the warranty ended, the replacement motor stopped working. They replaced it again with no charge and it has been working great ever since. Tires Plus stands by their work. Highly recommended.

Read these reviews, but because of COVID no other places could mount and balance tires on a Saturday. Thanks to other users we knew the up-sell for TPMS was coming as soon as we asked for his shop to do our work. For TPMS he quoted us 10 dollars/tire, which we didnt even realize we were getting charged for until after we refused to pay 42 dollars/tire to mount and balance, as my girlfriend was leaving he offered to not touch the TPMS and reduce the cost per tire by 10 dollars. In total we paid 32.50 each for this business to mount and balance two tires (19). As we were waiting he quoted another family a significant amount less for their tire replacement. Please tread cautiously if having this business complete work on your car. The owner Bill will try to up-sell you at every turn, claiming safety is the reason for the fix. His business depends on those gullible enough to be taken advantage of.

I have gone here a few times for various things and every single time has been worse than the last. The owner Bill will overcharge you every step of the way and will be way higher than the price quoted on the tires plus website. He is rude and difficult to deal with and will comfortably lie to you when you confront him on it. My last time there I went in for a pair of flat tires and they up sold me on two that were more expensive than what I wanted and tried to charge me more than those tires were quoted online. I also noticed missing headphone from my car upon pickup last time. I CANNOT MAKE IT MORE CLEAR DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION. (I have had great luck across town at Midwest autoworx)

These guys are crooks!! I brought a trailer in with a nail in the tire close to closing time to have them plug it. After giving them all my customer info so I could just get a simple tire plugged they told me they only fix tires from the inside (patch). So now That I’m running short on time I ask them what that will cost and they said $22. So I said sure, go ahead and fix it. After about 15 min. I went out to check on progress and the mechanic had already moved on to another job while mine was just siting there half done. After tracking down the mechanic, he proceeded to tell me they couldn’t fix my tire and that I’d need a new one. So I looked at the tire and they said the nail was to close to the side wall to patch (but it wasn’t, they just wanted to sell me a tire). They said for liability reasons they couldn’t. This was frustrating but I do understand there liability point so I said just put it back on and I’ll fix it my self. The problem comes when they wanted to charge me labor for takeing the tire off. First of all the tire didn’t need to come off to see the nail and tell me they wouldn’t fix it. Secondly I agreed to pay them to patch the tire which they didn’t do. They had no intention of fixing my tire but they wanted to sale me a new one. This is crooked business at its finest.

Not sure what all of these bad reviews are about. Many seem to have little to do with actual car repair. I needed immediate service after breaking down. They accommodated me fully. Ran an inspection and discussed work that would be done and total price before touching the car. Owner and mechanic were both very friendly, and went over my car additionally after the work was done and I had already paid after I gave them additional info to ensure that my car was safe to drive. Pricing was fair and competitive (I was quoted $40 more for the exact same battery earlier in the day by a competitor) and service was great. They actually could have gouged me based on the cars symptoms making it seem like I needed a new fuel pump but did not. Thank you guys, if I lived in Columbia you would be my mechanic.

Turned a bad day into a great day! They replaced my starter and saved me $150! Heres the short story: I went to OReillys next door because my car wouldnt start, OReillys told me that my battery was bad and tried to replace it for $150. I was skeptical about going to any mechanic as a female car owner, but Tires Plus made me feel very comfortable and talked me through all of the processes. The nice gentleman at Tires Plus double checked my battery and told me that its charged just fine and theres no need to buy a new one just yet. Tires Plus decided my starter needed to be replaced and after that was completed, my car started perfectly! They even topped off my fluids and oil and cleaned off the corosion building up on my battery cables! Very happy with their service and will come again.

Fairly frustrating experience. Went to just get two new tires, then while aligning they broke a part. The part was old, I understand. If it was me though, I would try and build customer satisfaction and would have replaced at no cost due to inconvenience. They did pay for half of the repairs which was nice, but only half as nice as it could have been. Treat customers well and they come back, and will even advertise for you. Overall it took too long and I felt slighted afterwards. I will not use them again and can not recommend.

This place was awful. I took my car in because I was driving and there was a loud thumping on my front right tire. I told the owner it felt like it was going to fall off so I wanted to get checked, and also told him I had just recently gotten my tires rotated and oil changed. First off he laughed when I said it felt like it was going to fall off. They started by taking off the front left tire and showing me the rim was “bent”. I told them that wasn’t even the tire giving me troubles but thank you and to look at the others. They did and claimed that all my rims were bent and needed to be replaced immediately for safety reasons.(I was unable to see the bends in the rims but I’m not the expert). I said no and took it elsewhere. Come to find out, the shield that covers the engine was not on tight enough and it had fallen off and was hitting my tire. the other place also told me my rims were fine. Tires plus took advantage of me being young and was trying to scam me into buying new rims on the spot.

My drivers side window fell off the mechanism that gets it to roll up and down. I went in on a Sunday and was able to get an appointment for Thursday. It was pouring Thursday morning, but it still took them an hour to get to my vehicle when no one else was in line. They tried to convince me that the lock wasnt working until I showed sign of intelligent life and told them to try it manually, and they came back and said it worked all along but only with the door closed. Thats the way its supposed to be. They WAY overcharged me overall by charging me for parts ahead of time that they had no way of knowing I would need or not. Im pretty sure it didnt need a replacement because you could hear the mechanism working, but the window had simply fallen off of it. Then about 12 hours later the same problem happened to my passenger side window. It worked fine before I took the car in, and after it was alot slower until it fell off. But hey, at least my drivers side window works now...In summary:- Bad time management- Overcharge- possible sabotage- tried to convince me more things were wrong than were wrong.

I would definitely not recommend going to this business. I went for a basic oil change. First of all it was $30 which is a good $10 more than it really should be. Then it took them over an hour to change my oil when there was not one car in front of me. Ridiculous and frustrating.

I wish there was an option for zero stars. By far the worst auto repair shop I have been to. I called them to ask a question about past service on my car, the owner (I dont know his name) was about as rude as possible. I just moved to Columbia after having great experience for years through my previous Tires Plus. I had previously purchased a lifetime warranty on alignments at another Tires Plus. I was met by the manager Bill Kundraw and informed him that I needed an oil change, tire rotation, and to check the alignment. Bill told me that we could not do the alignment so I asked when would this be done because I have put 10,000 miles in 6 weeks and I paid for the life time alignment . Bill told me that it has not been six months and would not check it. I was taken back by this and called my previous Tires Plus to question Bill Kundraws answer. I was informed that if I had any concerns about the alignment and or if it is pulling that Bill Kundraw should get this taken care of. I told Bill what the other store had told me and he became dismissive. I have never been treated with such rudeness, if there was another Tires Plus here in Columbia they would have my business. I will be taking any issues to St Louis and have my oil changes done else where. Do NOT put yourself through this punishment.I called the customer service line and found out this is privately owned and they do not have to follow cooperate guidelines and honor warranties. I was advised to go to Firestone who will honor warrenties.

I brought in a 2000 maxima into tire plus for an oil change. While I was in there they sold me on an inspection. According to their results my car needed over $1000 in PREVENTIVE work. Once again we are talking about a 2000 maxima with just around 100000 miles on it. Trusting them I paid and had the work done. Literally two weeks later my tansmission dies. I went back to tires plus and they said that there is nothing they could do. Based on a second opinion tires plus either did a faulty inspection, faulty maintence work, or just did nothing and charged me money. Just remember you are doing business with them at your own risk.
