My daughters wedding after party was held here. The staff was wonderful, especially Acacia! The salad was excellent, prime rib was exceptional as were the potatoes, the broccoli was interesting, but I personally prefer a steamed then roasted version. The drink selection was phenomenal! Our party was served quickly and had a great time! When Im back in town, I will definitely return!

My husband raves about this place so I thought it would be perfect to celebrate his birthday. Boy, was I wrong! We arrived a little after 6:30, ordered the dry-aged burger, medium rare, mac and cheese buffalo cauliflower, and pretzel sticks for appetizers. The server (Kiersten, I believe) was super sweet and attentive, but the kitchen was very slow. Food arrived around 7:15 all at the same time. However, burger was cooked well done also mac and cheese had buffalo chicken. Kiersten took the entrees back. We ate the pretzel sticks. Im not sure if they were delicious or that I was so hungry. Correct entrees arrived around 7:40. The burger was still over cooked. Husband gave up and only ate half of it. I noticed my meal was same but removed the chicken on top and replaced with cauliflower because the noodles were dry and I found chicken in the bottom. The portions werent equal as noodles overpowered the amount of cauliflower given. Oh, but it keeps getting worse. The manager never said anything about the food issues and we still ended up paid in full. We left at 8 pm. I will not be back but my husband is willing to give a second chance.

I used to really like this place. This was our 4th or 5th time here… But post-Covid, they are RAPIDLY going downhill. I say this out of concern, not complaint. It’s not too late! My wife and I have been dining out 3-4 times a week for 22 years, and we’ve seen this before: the typical death throes of a struggling restaurant being mismanaged - it starts with 1) lousy service, then 2) corners get cut and quality starts to drop, then 3) they ride on their old reputation until they can’t any more, and then 4) the place closes down.We are clearly at a late stage 2 here entering stage 3. Turn it around! Cutting corners and quality is NOT an acceptable solution.I preface this with saying I “get” Covid troubles and staffing. These issues are not related to that.Made a reservation - they seemed surprised and flustered when we showed up. Pretty sure they seated a few walk-ins before us. Took us to a communal high-top, when I had specifically made the reservation for standard seating. They were able to accommodate us after, but I hate complaining. It shouldn’t be a hassle to honor reservations, and those who have them should have priority above walk-ins.Second - the place has a “system”, which I’m fine with, if they keep it consistent. I drink mixed drinks. Every time we came here before they brought us a glass with ice. This time it was self service (and yes, we had been mid-Covid). I actually wish mixers would be at a fountain or something, but the process and knowing exactly what to do can be frustrating. That, and my wife used one of their auto-taps that a patron had left open, and she lost half her drink to the drain before she was able to catch it.Third… The food here always tastes good and is well prepared, but we ordered “6 oz filets” for $29 that were not 6oz. I order a lot of steak at restaurants all over the country. They are clearly skimping here. (Photo attached.) The steak was barely larger than silver dollar, and was not cooked to order (overdone, we asked for medium rare, it was medium well.) Maybe it was 5 or 6 ounces - but for $29, pretty skimpy.Lots of things I can excuse - but skimping and cutting corners ain’t one of them.Service itself (our server) was good. Let’s just clean things up a little. This place is unique and I hope it sticks around.I honestly think they can redeem - but don’t slide any further, Beasts and Brews. You have a good thing going here - don’t screw it up. P.S. the liquor manager is a really nice, funny guy. Keep it up - but the rest of the place has to get in shape.

This is a great place to get some food and have some fun drinks. The taps were so cool and there are so many choices for beer, cider, wine, and other mixed drinks. The food was all terrific as well, we ordered the charcuterie board, lobster macaroni and cheese, and the elk carne asada plate. They give you some time between courses which is nice to go get another drink or just explore the taps.

I took every recommendation from appetizers to dessert I was not led astray once! How Beasts and Brews was not packed on a Saturday night I will never know! After speaking with the owner and the head chef I’m hoping they can bring this amazing dining and drinking experience closer to home for me as I know in the mid west you would be lucky to find a place to sit in such well run establishment! Thanks again to the wonderful staff for making it worth leaving a glowing review! If your reading this Tim please open one of your amazing restaurants in North Dakota! Absolutely amazing, hands down will be back very soon. First, love the self pour concept. It was our first time in and the server did a good job explaining how it worked. We had a lot of fun trying different drinks, they have an amazing selection. But the food. My dudes... the food is phenomenal. We were chatting with the server, who shared they recently brought on a new executive chef which has helped get the kitchen in order. My husband is a wing freak and these were the best wings weve had in the Springs area. My pastrami burger was delicious and the fries sent me to fry heaven. Definitely looking forward to the poutine next time we go 😁

Overpriced! The food and service are fine. The beer and food prices are too high and some of the food portions are too small. We were there for a late dinner on Saturday night and one of the garage doors to the patio was open, which made the entire restaurant too cold. We asked if the door could be closed and were told that they would have to wait until there were no customers on the patio. So, we ate dinner with our coats on. There are too many other good restaurant options on the north end of Colorado Springs that are more reasonable.

We came her with friends who have never been here before. We raved about it. Came tonight and it was the worst experience ever. Waited over an hour for someone to take our order. Asked for a new server. When our food finally came . Our chicken arrived raw. New training assistant manager assured us that our chicken would be remade. Mangers husband brings out new food and tells us that this chicken is refired. Meaning not fresh. And that it’s supposed to be a little pink. Never heard that before. Then we go to ask for blue cheese end the mangers husband and our 1st sever are talking about us. So we asked for a the manager because that’s totally inappropriate. So they kicked us out. Told us they were taking care of our bill, but we needed to leave. Only to find out that they changed one person for all four people. And they even gave themselves a $36 tip. Totally illegal. Absolute worst date night. Never had an issue asking for someone to take our order and asking for properly cooked food before.

We had originally loved this place. The food was amazing the last time we came when they were running out of everything and the manager was walking around grateful because there was people visiting. We are currently here and this place is absolutely the worst. There is no way a 34 dollar steak should be dry and with no flavor even after asking for a blue cheese crusted steak. They forgot my husbands horseradish topping so he had to settle for just a horseradish spread. The cutting board the food was on smelled as if they washed it and never dried it. The workers were upset to have to work halloween it was totally obvious. The main waitress walked around like sadness from inside out. The rest of the waitresses were on the phones and one was even on her laptop. I get it its slow but atleast look like you care. This place has took a turn for the worst, sad to say we wont be back. Flipside is the beer is good. I wouldnt recommend it.

We went here for the first time recently. Tons of options for drinks which was really cool! Also the food was tasty- salmon, pork belly and street tacos were yummy. The owner was very friendly and both he and the manager were present and engaging guests. Waitresses were very nice. Service was slow and disorganized. I think they’re working on improving that. Need to give patrons more guidance and direction of how system works, where glasses are, bring plates with apps, more timely with greeting. We will definitely come back and believe this will be a great place when staff is better trained/more experienced. Awesome patio/view.

We came here last night for the first time. The Google reviews werent great, but not horrible, so we decided to try. *LONG REVIEW AHEAD*Lets start off with the positive:Loved the concept of picking out and pouring your own beers, lots of selection, and our beers were great. Great view, and beautiful restaurant. The hostess got us a great table. Very sweet girl. The waitress was great and even suggested we order our food quickly (we told her we were going to a concert after). She said the kitchen was a little behind. They got our food out quicker than I thought. We were also celebrating our anniversary and she congratulated us. It was a nice touch.Cons:The food was pretty bad...and WAY overpriced for what it was. We were on a date (which we dont get to do often due to our little one). We were okay spending more than usual on good food.I ordered the Lobster Risotto. It was $28. The lobster was tiny! I wish I had taken a picture. It was a huge bowl of risotto with two little pieces of meat on top. Not mixed in like you would expect. Now, I do get that lobster is expensive and usually not a ton of meat. However...it was charred. Chewy. I like blackened fish...but over cooked lobster is just not good! I couldnt even taste it. Too much seasoning and smoked tasting. The risotto was creamy and good. I just imagined it being the accompanying food in the entree..not the main dish. They tried to fill the bowl...Im guessing since there wasnt much lobster. I couldnt finish it..even remotely. Lots and lots of risotto. LolThen I asked the waitress what brocolini was..i thought it was a side choice. She told me it was basically just longer broccoli and roasted. She asked if thats what I wanted. Sure I said. It comes out and its 3 pieced of broccoli...again charred. I like roasted, but it was crunchy. This may be my fault, but I didnt realize the broccoli didnt come with the meal. $5 extra charge for that! I was appalled. Especially after eating the very underwhelming lobster risotto. I asked for bread before the meal. She forgot to put it in..but it wasnt a huge deal. It seemed like frozen garlic bread. Definitely not homemade. At least they only charged us $1 for it. So all together this meal was a whopping $34. I could have had a steak. My husband got the Mac n cheese with brisket. $17The brisket was very thin sliced, and again, barely there on top of the Mac n cheese. It was another huge bowl of pasta. The Mac n cheese didnt taste like there was much cheese in it. No flavor..very bland. I told him to ask for hot sauce. That bad. He said the brisket was covered in BBQ sauce so he couldnt really taste the meat. I didnt try it bc I knew he was hungry and there was very little meat. All in all it was disappointing to spend our hard earned money on this food. We were near Texas Roadhouse and he had commented that we should just go there before I said..lets try something different and support local. For the money we spent we could have had two very juicy steaks and sides that didnt cost extra. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Definitely we would not have had the ambiance I was looking for...but at least we would have been full. We ended up going to Taco Bell on the way home from our concert since we were still hungry.I would go back for a happy hour or just drinks. Not the food. The concept was cool, and I think this place could be better if they improved upon their food. At least their customer service was great. I hope they are just short staffed and this is not their usual food quality.

Food was great, atmosphere was great, and when you did get a tap to work the beer was good. Self serve beer taps had issues on less popular beers and would just pour you foam while charging you for every ounce of the foam. No follow up after bringing our food and then only checked on us when we were obviously done. Never brought our check. A great concept with absolutely horrible service. After making reservations we were placed at a table on a stage with bright stage lights. We waited 15 minutes for a server to come by and after asking for the lights to be turned down, we were informed that they couldnt do anything about them. When we asked to move to a different table we were placed in the community room with a large birthday party which was obviously awkward. We asked if we could just sit on the patio instead and were told that the patio was closed for the evening (weather was great). This all took over 30 minutes and we ended up leaving.

We made it clear we had roughly an hour and 15 minutes, ordered a single steak and appetizer once she finally took our order, told her to bring them whenever so we wouldnt be rushed at the end. Appetizer came out quick and it was ok, steak came out at our time limit and was not worth the price, sprouts were under cooked. Manager came to try make it right by offering free stuff and telling us exactly how long our steak took from when it was put in to their system(33 minutes he says). Great atmosphere with the potential to be a really great spot. We were iffy about stopping by because of the not-so-great food reviews and unfortunately, I’m just going to add to that. The idea of this place is really fun but being a new person walking in and seeing 20 people crowded around two registers is kind of confusing and there really isn’t a lot of guidance unless you wait in the line to find out how things work, which we did. The food is ok at best. My brothers steak meal was barely lukewarm when it came out, we sent it back and when we got it back, same situation but the vegetables were burnt to a crisp (see photos). When his vegetables were brought out (for the third time) they were perfect. Why does it take three times for food to be brought out how it is supposed to? When I went to check on his meal after we sent it back, their open kitchen is in full view of the register and they had rows and rows of food sitting under lights, and sitting right beside me on the counter were two salads, under heat lamps. The lamps don’t keep food hot. Bringing food out immediately allows your guests to really experience what you’re trying to present. As I was cashing out, there was a lady demanding that her salad be taken off her bill. We’ve decided B&B is the place to come and drink, but we will definitely eat before hand. Not worth the money or disappointment. (Thanks to manager, Wendy, for taking care of the steak.)

I wanted to give this place a great review. I really did. I went there for lunch and had an amazing hamburger for a reasonable price. I went back for dinner and they didnt serve the same hamburger but did have a dry-aged hamburger for $20 (It cost over $100 for essentially burgers and tacos for four people for dinner- not my cup of tea). Expensive for a hamburger and not anywhere close to as good as the cheaper lunch hamburger that I ate a few days before. Still hoping for that good lunch version of their hamburger, I went back a few days later during lunchtime - on a Sunday. Low and behold, you cant get the lunch menu on a Sunday - only the brunch menu. Apparently, you can only get their excellent, reasonably priced burgers during lunchtime Wednesday through Saturday. This, frankly, is too much work. Serve your customers a good burger at a good price when they want it - not when it is convenient for you. I really like the burger but not sure Ill go back again. Just too much work to get a good burger.

My wife and I had heard wonderful reviews about this restaurant so we were very excited to try it. It ended up being one of the worst dining experiences we have had. We waited an hour. Then we sat down and ordered the pretzel sticks… they resembled stale breadsticks more than a soft pretzel. After this we started to place our orders and they were out of salmon, pork chops and the petite steak. At this point we were almost ready to leave, but decided to keep giving it a try. I ordered the New York strip and my wife ordered the wedge salad. We waited another 20 minutes for the food. The steak that they served was undercooked. Once they re heated it, it had little to no flavor. On top of all of this, our waitress was no where to be seen half of the time and had little recommendations when it came to the menu. In conclusion, we really had high hopes for Beasts and Brews, but walked away very disappointed and will most likely not be returning in the future.

Ive never reviewed a restaurant but our experience here was so terrible I felt inclined to share. We arrived about 7:45 as a table of four and the while night was terrible. We completely understood the slow service due to staffing issues, that was not the issue. The problem was this; I ordered a petit filet cooked medium with Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes and mushroom sauce on the steak. When the food came out my steak was not a filet, and was also extremely well done. Completely brown all the way through. Additionally, the mushrooms were burnt. On top of that the Mac and cheese was awful. There was no salt, no cheese, and tasted like noodles mixed with milk and flour, absolutely tasteless. When our waitress came over to ask how the food was I shower her the steak and she offered to refire it and I accepted that. I also pulled her aside and told her about the Mac and cheese a few minutes later. When the new steak came out I sliced into it and it was rare. Not a soft pink like a medium steak should be, but bright red in the middle. They also didnt include the mushrooms I paid for. If theyre going to charge 30+ dollars for a steak they should be able to cook it. (Again, they miscooked not one, but 2 steaks, and then charged us for the whole meal.)All in all, the food was terrible, and I reached out to the restaurant after the incident and they have not replied. I would definitely NOT recommend this place.

For $19 you literally get two (!!!) slices of the same kind salami, two little piles of cheese crumbles and a bunch of pumpkin seeds and dried berries. For a new opened business they’re not doing a whole lot to make you come back! I know, we won’t!

I cant say enough good things about this restaurant! The managers/owners are amazing, the staff is super friendly and helpful ... and even more important, the food is amazing. Seriously. Ive not tried one single thing I didnt care for. They even catered our grand opening!I really love the idea of a self-pour taps as well. They have taken measures to ensure the public taps are Covid-safe as well, providing napkins to handle them, hand sanitizer, and asking patrons to not reuse glasses to keep everyone healthy. I really appreciate this. Chef Noah has also taken an interest in local produce and farmers, so hes chosen to display their produce/goods, meats, cheese, etc. in his front case from my understanding. You can buy some local goodness and take it home!Seriously you need to check out B&B! Im considering having them cater my wedding :)

This place is spectacular!! Nothing like Ive ever experienced. Its like the Dave and Busters of adult drinks on tap. You get a card that you use on the taps and you can sample most everything with cute little glasses. They even have local kombucha, cold brew coffee for brunch and wines/cider. The food is absolutely divine. You can tell that its all locally sourced and it makes such a huge difference. Get an appetizer, try the lobster risotto and dont skip the homemade rum raisin ice cream. Definitely plan on coming back for brunch next time!

Update: since stay-at-home restrictions went into place, Ive been enjoying Beast and Brews butcher shop. Not only is the meat amazing, but the service is superior. Love supporting and enjoying this local business.July 2019 - Very cool concept (huge amount of self-service taps). The food was excellent. Still a few kinks to work out, but a very fun experience.

2nd time here but might be the last for a while. Slow night on a Wed. We were seated and the waitress came by, gave us the tap card but then said she was switching with another waitress. 15 minutes later, we were asked if we had been helped by assuming a manager. We finally got the new waitress and ordered food. We went to get a flight and there were no flight glasses so the manager lady brought one out. 50 minutes into our visit, a man with a hat and flip flops delivers my wifes dinner from the kitchen (read as health code violation), missing the fries and not my dinner. Thinking maybe its coming out next, we wait 10 minutes later, flag down the waitress again, and asked where the fries were and my dinner. She brings out fries and then said someone took the meal. 25 minutes later, I get my Elk Carne Asada only to taste a cold, raw piece of meat. It had potential but at this point, I just wanted the bill. The pretzel sticks and BBQ dinner was pretty good though. She comped my dinner and half of my wifes for the hassle of waitress, no flight glasses and serving 101 that didnt happen. Im going to let this sit for a while and maybe come back in a year if they are still open.

I arrive at 4:30 with my wife. There are literally 5 customers seated. I will have to wait 2 hours for a table because they have filled all the tables with reservations. Really?! This isnt Daniél in Manhattan. If your staff cant make sure that walk ins can be accommodated when 90% of the tables are empty, youre not planning properly.--editManager came out to our car as we were leaving. Asked us to stay. They made things right and the food was delicious.

Wow, super cool. Great selection, from ale, pilsner, IPA, wine, spirits and even kombucha and CBD infused drinks. All pay-per-ounce, self serve, on demand. Dry aging steaks right in front of the customer is a nice touch. From a software engineer perspective, great software and client experience. Ill expand my review later. Wendys a super cool manager.

Honestly disappointing for such a cool set up place. We were meeting a group of work friends for a birthday party. We were sat at a 10 seat table and assuming it was the manager, he approached our table and informed us the reservation said 6 and since we had 7 people currently one of us would have to leave (we had already ordered drinks). His manner was rude and like he was asking for a fight. We should have just left them. But no, one of our 7 friends (birthday girls boyfriend) left the 10 seated table, leaving now 4 open chairs available. This would have all been understandable as he said they were on strict guidelines but we then noticed the cooks and that same manager in the back with no masks on, no gloves, scratching their heads and handling the food. For such strict guidelines to make someone leave a table (declining business), what was happening in the back just did not seem right for people with “such strict guidelines.”We had also ordered a to go plate for our friend who had to leave and they brought it out to us before our own meals and when we told her this was suppose to be to go at the end of the night for the guy y’all made leave, she replied very rude, “okay, well it can sit under the heat lamp until your ready.” WHAT! Who actually says that to business.I will say our waitress was very sweet. I don’t remember her name but she was brunette with a camo mask. She did everything she could and this terrible experience had nothing to do with her. And a guy by the name of Allen offered our table free desert at the end of the night which was very kind to try and make it right. But unfortunately, do to what seemed to be management in the place, we will not be returning nor will anyone that was apart of the group.

Update: Gotta knock the score down a bit. A lot of staff change over and new management has created a different experience. That isn’t bad, per se, but the food we’ve loved for a year is now overwhelmingly over seasoned and over done. Same menu, but not the same ratios and cook times. We may give it another try but we’ll see. Everyone was super friendly and graciously received our feedback on the food.Past Review: We love this restaurant. Theyre experts at accommodating food allergies. Always friendly. Service is fast, without compromising quality. The chef meets every visitor. Insane amount drink options. Supports local farm-to-table. This is our go-to restaurant in the area and we frequent it almost weekly. Highly recommended!

Jossilyn and Mark made our evening. Had a rough start when we couldnt initially be seated without reservations due to under staffed and heavy reservations. Mark the new manager convinced us to stay and, Jossilyn was so sweet, conversational, engaged and caring. The pretzel appetizer is amazing with smooth cheese sauce, fresh bacon bits and deliciously sweet and tangy peppers plus a fabulous sauce. The Mac & cheese with brisket, the aged brisket and chuck burger, side salad and of course all the amazing brews made it a great experience. The 4 stars is due to the initial experience when we arrived.

Three friends and I had a late lunch. The food was freshly prepared and tasted superb. Two of us had the brisket sandwich and two had the skirt steak and fries. Portions were very generous. Our server, Mandy, was attentive without being intrusive. She always seemed to approach the table nanoseconds before we needed anything. I will definitely make the thirty minute drive again.... Well worth the trip!!!

Beast and Brews literally hugs the consume local trend as much as they can. The visit of their awesome taproom & restaurant really made my stay in Colorado Springs so much more fun and allowed me to embrace Colorado Springs local experience. Everything at Beast and Brews is made from scratch, even all the sauces! And I was pretty surprised to learn that their 99 beverages on self-pour taps (yes, 99!) are all local! That is quite an impressive selection! Even their 100th secret tap was from Colorado as well! So fun to look for it! Thanks to their PourMyBeer self-pour system (which allows you to pay beverages by the ounce), you can try literally all of them in one night. Although, I would not recommend that, haha. Split up your trip in a few if you are up for the challenge of trying them all!If you are a craft beer fan like me, make sure to bring your DD along as this place is hard to leave with only trying a few brews. My favorites are IPAs and Wheat beers and I was in beer heaven here! The nitro beers beverage wall was amazing, too though. I have seen lots of different beverages on PourMyBeer self-pour taps, but this was the first time when I even saw local vodka and a bunch of other local spirits. Truly a sampling paradise! The food is nowhere behind their fantastic beverage options. As a vegetarian, I had a ton to choose from! My favorites were the veggie pizza, veggie burger, and their elotes! YUM!The grand finale was their AMAZING bourbon brown sugar ice cream! I am normally not a big ice cream fan, but this is literally the best ice cream I have ever had and very likely a reason why I am coming back to Colorado Springs soon. Haha.Enjoy your drinks & meals! This place is AWESOME!

Seriously, the best steaks Ive ever had in my life (and Im getting up there). Noah and the team are HUGE on supporting local farmers, the food is fabulous, the atmosphere is wonderful and everyone there feels like family. PLUS - if you have dietary concerns, they are all super informed on the ingredients included in the food (or theyll ask to ensure youve got the info you need). We did take out for a date night since indoor seating is currently not available due to restrictions. Just as good as if we were there. If you havent been here? GO...NOW...REALLY!

I was very excited to try this place for the first time, as I’ve heard nothing but excellent things. I reserved a table for 2 at 7pm, and noticed the place closed at 8pm. I figured that would be plenty of time to have a couple of beers. The two of us showed up a few minutes before 7 and were informed that reservations were running a little behind and we were asked to wait in our car for a text to let us know when our table was ready. We understood and complied. However, we were left waiting for 40 minutes. By the time we finally got a text saying our table was ready, it was about 7:30 and it didn’t make any sense to sit down to have a couple of drinks for the short remainder of time left. I was just disappointed that we weren’t informed of how long the wait would be. And if you’re going to highly recommend reservations for all customers, then timelines should be enforced throughout the day to ensure that all reservations are able to be met. I would still like to return someday soon...seems like a very popular place.

Tried this place place twice with friends. The first time was pretty forgettable the second time solidified why this place is a joke. Food quality is sub par for the inflated prices (Ive worked in kitchens for over 33 years and this is laughable). Half the taps are full of nothing but foam which leads to you paying more for a single drink. And the Manager Noah S. Cant take constructive criticism so save his life. All he does is argue and belittle those who gave their opinion on his restaurant. If youre afraid of negative reviews, turn off the reviews you coward (or just shut down since there plenty of other self pour restaurants that actually practice customer service.)
