Usual desi market. We didn’t go for elaborate shopping, but stopped by to grab a few stuff. Although we didn’t get all what we were looking for, it was okay. They have mostly all basic things that you can expect to be at an indian/ south Asian stores. They have a restaurant adjacent, it seems under the same Managemnet/ proprietorship.
Worst grocery store ever in my life. If someone wants to waste his money unnecessarily then he may go to this store. Each and every item is over priced. And by any chance if u think u paid really double for an item and want to return ( doesn’t matter after purchase still you are in the store.). Forget about return. They kept hanging a notice “ Due to covid no return bla bla…..” By the way covid almost gone . I recommend everyone please do not go to Apna Bazar Memphis for wasting your money.
Good sea food
You asked, why not 5 stars, bcoz your store doesnt deserve that. There are numerous issues, starting from cleanliness, organizing products not following FIFO method, leads to expire products and less numbers of highly demanded products on customers demand and lots of personal choices trash. Atleast get customers feedback if you really want to stay in this business for long term. Never mind and just take it as positive feedback for change and to be successful in the future. Harsh truth. Thank you
It was very very bad experience guys be careful when you pick any item they are keeping expired items zero star.
Terrible response when called them for spoiled food and lassi bought a day before, going to report to food inspection department about malpractices of scratching off expiration dates on packaged food
Im so happy to have found Apna! They have a great selection of dry good, spices and basic grocery needs. I cant wait to go back and try a dosa for lunch.
The lady in billing side is very sweet. She always has a smile on her face and very welcoming. Would help you immediately when you need her.
Its an Indian grocery store with good menu restaurant. They also sell fresh meat. They have thalis for lunch with both veg and non-veg options.
Food was great and good grocery collection ..but not a whole lot of stock
After seeing so many reviews, I decided to give a try here. I tried multiple times and did buy some stuff as they were in par with other stores and some were cheap but some were expensive. After coming home I realized they sell outdated/expired stuff. The Rava I bought had bugs and too much web in it. The dal I bought was useless, doesn’t cook even after soaking for 3 hours. Plus you must buy for 5$ minimum to use your card and their card machine doesn’t work sometimes. This is in a gas station, so it’s like grab and go something for emergency purposes, not for real grocery shopping for healthy cooking. I would not recommend this place as it’s not worth your money and time.
I have found a new treasure store. This place has items that I need for recipes and mango lassi in a jar! Yum!
Very nice place.
Well stocked, knowledgeable, very helpful and polite employee and owner. Plus, it has a fully functional restaurant that serves very very good food. I loved this place
This place is amazing. It has so many wonderful things to try and buy
The quality of meat sold here is very good, especially the chicken and goat meat. Even better than whats sold at Kroger and in Cordova. The owner and staff here are polite and friendly with customers and the selection of Indian culinary items are commendable
** No paper towels or soap in the restrooms. It my 3rd time there and I never find them in the restroom. I wonder how these people go a permit to sell food and snack items.1. Very very expensive food and very cheap quality food items. I order punugu and bajji they super oily and super salty.2. Very less food for very high cost. I was shocked to see 2 bajji for $4. I wouldn’t have cared about the cost it was tasty.3. If you are okay with above 3 things then you have to wait at least 15-20 min for your order.
I visited this store all the way from Jonesboro, Arkansas but was utterly disappointed. There were very few varieties of snack items. There was only one packet of toast which was on the verge of expiration. The veggies did not look fresh. Mint leaves were loose and were dipped in a bucket of dirty water which was a pitiful sight. The store was stinky and not well stocked. The visit was a waste of time.
Will request everyone to check expiry date before purchase any packet item.
Love their freshly cooked samosas! They are seasoned perfectly. Everyone working in the store is very friendly and helpful.
Groceries are good. But need to keep their Frozen vegetables fresh . All the frozen vegetable items bought are smells bad
I will not buy anything from this place. Looking for 3 different oils but only one was available and that too it will expire in 4 months. Checked out sesame oil and it was expensive. There were not enough options available in this store. Coconuts, even walmart give us a return and or exchange but these guys have no exchange policy. I m new to memphis and i have never seen any indian store with this policy. But still I bought one coconut because the person working in that store said the coconut are new and they wont be spoiled. But when I came home and opened it and found that it was spoiled. VERY DISAPPOINTING. Anyway vegetables were fresh and both chicken and lamb are good but little expense but that is fine. Will not recommend this store.
Good place to buy Indo-Pak groceries and nice and very helping staff.
I Love thebutcher here. Seriously. Say i want a chicken and dude cuts it up...will skin it. So inexpensive. I buy all mychicken here.
I go here often. I can get all the things I want to buy here. I love the samosas and chat.
