The service was great! I called today around 12ish and got service by Eric within 2 hours. The costs was far for the quick service and response. Eric provided great service and was friendly and nice.

Just went on their web site to see if they are open today. I need a garage door fixed. I was surprised with some of the negative reviews. Mike Phillips has been out to my home, my relatives and other friends and has done a great job fixing our garage doors. Will definitely call when they are open and will use them when I need to replace my 30 year old doors.

The tech was very friendly and knowledgeable. The door works like brand new in fact this company installed the door 10 years ago. I was quoted $75 and that was what the cost was. No trumped up charges or add on’s.

I have American Home Shield warranty and they sent me to Phillip Garage Door from Clovis, Ca... I was worried because of the negative remarks but thought would give them a chance.,,,, so glad I did,, the gentleman was awesome and so professional.., garage door works great!!! Phillips installed the garage door about 10 years ago. The opener was giving us trouble recently and I called them to take a look. Manuel came out at and in a few minutes saw it needed replacing. Returned 2 days later, as we agreed, and installed it. Manuel is a true professional, a very nice guy and a trust worthy person. The price was more than fair and I couldnt be happier with the decision to call back Phillips.

A torsion spring broke on my garage and had messed up the drive system. I called Phillips Garage Door in the morning and an appointment was setup for the same afternoon. The technician was prompt, professional, and very friendly. It took him less than an hour to replace both torsion springs, fix the drive mechanism, and complete a full tune up of garage door. I highly recommend!

- From the initial purchase, the vendor refused to accept my tenants contact information in order to coordinate a time to come out and take measurements. He then threatened to charge me a missed appointment fee while complaining about the low profit margins of his Home Depot contract. As a contractor and a business owner I found this both unprofessional, insulting, and unhelpful.- After I was able to coordinate all 8 measurements at once for the vendors convenience, I was threatened multiple times I would be charged extra if the garages were not clean on installation day and if there were any access issues. I find this odd as I was under no obligation to make it so he could install all at once, I did that as a courtesy. My courtesy was repaid with threats of additional charges which was an ongoing theme.- The vendor then told me garages only come in one size and I would need to reframe half of the gagrages. Being in the industry I know for a fact, and confirmed with the Windows and Doors Dept at Home Depot, that garage doors can be ordered to fit any needed measurements and do not have to all be one size. The vendor lied about this to make his job easier and then again threatened additional charges if the framing was not completed.- 16 hours before the first installation date he cancelled as he just then realized he did not take proper inventory and had the garage doors but not the locks.- When they arrived for the install the owner of Phillips Garage asked me if I was a tenant. I informed him I was the property owner. He the proceeded to ask me if my parents own the property. I am a 45 year old man. I found his comments intentionally disrespectful and I was left wondering if there were racial undertones to this disrespect.- Following the completion of the installation, I noted the work to be of poor quality. The incorrect screws were used, the doors did not shut properly, etc. However I just left it alone as my experience with the company had been so bad I did not want to deal with them any longer.- Now, 9 months after my purchase, one of the cables came off track. When I attempted to access my warranty, I received a call from Phillips Garage. I was told (with an excessive amount of attitude and frustration) that 99.9% of the time IT IS THE CUSTOMERS FAULT for pulling the garage door down to fast and this would not be warrantied. I was told the fee for non-warranty work is $85/hour. I had to insist and argue just to get them to come out and look at the problem. Turns out this was the 0.1% of the time that there is a faulty installation. Several garage doors required adjustment.- Throughout this headache, the owner never apologized or took ownership for his employees, their attitudes, and poor quality work.

If I could give this company negative stars I would!! I called my homeowners insurance regarding my water heater and garage door. Phillips Garage called me 1 week after I started a new work order through my insurance company. During this week I was made aware that my water heater was not covered and I had to buy a new water heater. By the time Phillips Garage Door called to set up an appt...(since a week had gone by) I had already cancelled the WO through my Ins. Company. When Phillips called a young girl called me wanting to schedule an appt to come to my house. I informed her that I had already canceled the WO, I even asked her did my insurance company not let you know? She said no no ones called me. So I told her oh well let me bring you up to date, I canceled the service call I will not be needing of your services anymore She said Ok not a probelmTwo days later a technician from Phillips Garage shows up to my house. My husband explained to him that the service call had been canceled. The technician started chatting it up with my husband and said oh well they told me to come out, whats the problem anyways my husband said door doesnt open automatically, not sure why.. but since we have to buy a 1,000 water heater now the garage door is no longer a priorityTechnician left soon after this,, no paperwork was ever exchanged he never even went inside my garage let alone even saw the garage door.Now my insurance is billing me the co payment of $60 because they received an update from the technician and a diagnosis from him saying that we need an electrician. I was LIVID!!! they straight out lied to get their co-payment! I never gave them authorization to come to my home, I canceled the service call through my Ins company and through their own receptionist ( or whoever called me to schedule an appt) now Im on a battle with my insurance company because they decided to lie about what happened. -___-Very unprofessional!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sneaky!!!!! Liars!!!!!!!!!!!

Installed 1 spring on a two car garage door. 2 years, later spring breaks, comes crashing down, breaks panels, cables, and could have injured my family. Be warry, they cheap on materials, yet get paid by American Home Shield for the maintenance.
