This place is hit or miss and most of the time its a miss . They r so overpriced on most of there items . They have really nice soft wool socks well priced in the fall . I have also had luck with their spring bulb selection. Theyre tulips, daffodils, and crocuses r beautiful ! I have gotten my spring bulbs there for years and always have success with them coming up beautifully in the spring. U get a bag of 40 tulips or daffodils under $10 . With really beautiful colors to choose from ! I have never been disappointed with any bulb I purchased there . If I plant 40 bulbs of tulips or daffodils in the fall , come spring I have 40 beautiful tulips or daffodils each year ! Otherwise theres very few items that they sell that I cant get cheaper somewhere else . The cashiers at the Clinton location can be very rude and just strange . They act as if they r being bothered . That has been the biggest reason why I dont return to this store more often .

Ordered a latte with caramel. Got a regular latte. How hard is it? It says it right on the side of the cup. Sigh.

I gave three stars because I didnt have anything particularly negative, or positive justify more or less stars. Since you cared enough to ask, Im adding another star :-). I went looking for three things, and only found one. I realize thats the business model, but I thought I would pass along since youre asking.

Its the job lot dude. Its no target but I like their selection of snacks and theyre the only place in town I can find FREAKING CAYENNE PEPPER. Looking at you Shop Rite, Big Y, and Stoppenshop.

Ive been to various locations of Ocean State Job lot. This is probably the most awkward of all of them. The store itself just felt tired and dirty and the staff were completely disinterested.

Always a good experience. They had PPE before a lot of other stores. Locations are not hard to find. I have shopped at other locations closer to home, but this is closer to an appointment I had that day.The food isnt always the best but everything else is great. Price-wise, they are comparable to or better than other stores.They also carry the acrylic paint and canvas I use, so Bang energy drinks ($2) and Phoenix paint (2.50, also sometime Crazy Deals) are one-stop shopping.

Was busy due to it being a holiday weekend. The checkout line was long, however, the line was being managed quite efficiently. Cashier was pleasant and happy to be there.

The store is well stocked and kept clean. There’s a lot of items which is good just be aware of others as distancing can be tricky. Located right on the Post Rd so easy to get to.

You may not find exactly what youre looking for, but youre still going to find something you want. Prices are incredibly low. If you find something with crazy deal bucks the product can actually be almost free. Stock changes from week to week Oh, so if you see something you might like, Buy It Now. Chances are it wont be there when you come back.

Been shopping here for 20yrz or more! Great prices and stuff for the garden to Xmas lights and everything in-between.

Always an experience when you visit. Generally different merchandise from time to time, but usually consistent products. Some things are cheap, some things are about the same price as target. YMMV.

Been to alot of job lots. And by far the best one ive been to they had so many diff things. I got everything i went for and more literally spent an hour and a half in there great outdoor supply alot of quality thing. I deff rank this store 5 starts a must see if in madison clinton area

Its the best kept secret around. As mentioned they have a great selection of everything you can think of. They have a large assortment of Red Mill products, condiments, canned/jarred foods, cereals... We shop there exclusively for one product but I wont tell you what because the price is so good and I want the supply to last for myself ;)

Wow! I dont think Ive ever written a review before. But we had such a difficult experience here that I thought it might be helpful to others. The main website of Ocean State Job Lot says that they are pet friendly and you can bring your dog into the store. Our service dog is very small and hypoallergenic and we checked carefully their pet policy before we came in. But a woman yelled across the store at us as soon as we walked in the door and then continued to speak in a very loud voice about how terrible it was that we brought the dog. We were struggling to get some fairly large Chairs into our cart and we asked a man who worked there if it was possible to get them into the bottom of the cart and he just shrugged his shoulders and said it might be and continue to walk past. When we got to check out we noticed one of the pool cleaners wasnt filled up as if someone had used it and returned it and we told the checkout lady and she accused us of spilling it. Then she asked very loudly if the dog was a service dog, and when I said yes, she was very cold to us throughout the process of checking out. When we asked for help bringing our merchandise out to the curb she told us her workers werent allowed to go out into the parking lot. It was a disagreeable experience. The store is very crammed and disorganized and- at least with the staff that was on duty Thursday afternoon- they appear to be very unskilled in customer service. Just be wary. I believe one just opened in East Haven and I will probably go there from now on.

Good prices, good people. I can find many useful items in the store.

Great place for cheap spices and food stuff and even batteries. No place cheaper for reading glasses and misc. items (lots of cool flashlights). Plus the people are very nice. Try it. Youll like it. Just dont expect too much. The place is perfect for what it offers.

Never know what you will find and some regular items definately worth a visit now and then.

Other than being a bit crowded it was a good experience. They seemed to have a lot of sale items.

Nice store & all but , the cashier was slower than death & wasnt too friendly. Had the personality of a tree stump.

While walking around this store I saw a lot of working employees, the problem was they were blocking the entire aisle making it impossible to walk around without tripping on a cart or empty boxes. We finally grabbed our purchases and went to the registers. The line went down at least 4 aisles with one register open, and the customer service counter. Finally they called for back up then sent one of 2 people waiting in the customer service line, to cut in front of the dozen people already waiting. I havent been to this location in a long time and this experience reminded me of why.

Its a great store for gardening supplies ,swimming pool supplies, pet supplies, beach chairs, umbrellas,patio sets, kayaks, greeting cards! I could go on and on. you just cant go in looking for something in particular. But they always have something you want.

Store has gone downhill. Their clothing and seasonal sections are in complete disarray. The store is jam packed and dirty. There is barely enough room throughout the aisles.I used to love this location. Dont know what happened but get your decent employees back. Or hire some.

You can rely on the staff, to say they reserved an item for you, and then pretend to know nothing about it later. Regrettably, I happened to send someone else to get it (my wife), and they ridiculed her and made it seem as though I didnt call earlier. Great prices on the stuff they have, but entirely unreliable in every other way, pretty much exactly what you would expect.
