Recently had an eye exam, purchased new glasses and contacts. Everyone in this office is fantastic. I didn’t get staff’s names but I can honestly say they were all very polite and professional. I highly recommend.

I go in there and they ask me to wear a mask WHILE the front lady was wearing her mask incorrectly! The doctor was nice ill admit that and another staff was kind but I would give it a 5 star BUT because of the idiotic mask mandate AND the fact that they dont let you do a portion of the payment is absolutely RIDICULOUS!!!Not every is going to have 400 or 300 bucks right on the spot!!! Who ever made that rule doesnt know what theyre doing!

Saturday - July 10th approx 12pmI personally came back to this place after many years. For this visit I came in for my Dads glasses. We already had glasses prescription with us so process was pretty much straight forward. Front desk took in all the information and guide us to frame section. We picked up the frame and sat at one of the desk got the rest of the process done, basic info, measurement, etc. 2 week was the wait time for glasses to get ready. Got the glasses and my dad is happy with the result.

Weve been customers of Visionworks Clifton for several years. Our recent visit with my mom was not so nice. When we pick up the glasses the measurement was not correct. We need to wait another two weeks and when I called after two weeks its still not ready. Finally, when it was ready the girl who assisted us(Magda) was not so accommodating. I only asked her if they do offer discount since online there are discounts being offered. She said they dont and if we want just buy online. Then after she handed the glasses to my mom she left without saying anything. Not even asking hows the glasses fit and how comfortable my mom was. To be fair, she was nice prior to this recent visit. I feel like she was irritated by our presence there which was not our fault as they did it wrong, the measurement. I also need to ask the wiping cloth as there was nothing included in the case. Then when we arrived home, I noticed a dent in the right lens, I thought it was a scratch but thank God it something I can clean with wiping cloth and solution as I dont want to go back again, yes they didnt even clean the lenses. Our prior visit was a good one, the boy who assisted us was nice, its just he messed up the measurement big time! Jasmine who redo the measurement and coordinated the replacement was also nice and she always apologized for the trouble. I remember it was not the first time we had problem with them. There was also the case years ago that they lost my moms prescription so we need to go back again. i think we are done with them, not going back the next time we need glasses. Its far from our location anyway.

I scheduled an appointment and was on my way driving there. I was running 6 minutes late bc of traffic and wanted to be courteous so I called them several minutes early to let them know I was running 6 minutes late, and the lady said I needed to reschedule. I was pretty ticked off. Her reason was bc “the doctor is already running late,” which means she wouldn’t be seeing me anyways even if I were there early. Lady was rude and unapologetic.

Firstly , i want to address my experience with the poor costumer service in the past . In short it was HORRIBLE! Very poor costumer service and the ladies there made sure to make my experience miserable from start to finish . BUT......this all changed when i gave this place a last chance , i was greeted kindly and professionally by Jasmine , she took the time to explain things to me . I told her about my experiences in the past at the place she assured me that it wont happen again , shes turning things around ...The doctor is always amazing , now that the front service has changed because of Jasmine and another sales rep Yanel , you are in good hands .MAKE SURE to ask for Jasmine or Yanel if you want your experience to be as good as mine was .

Yes I could give this place a no star rating I would I had to glasses for three months I just went there to tell them that I cannot see through them and they told me that I have to redo the exam and pay for the glasses which I paid a very high price price I would never recommend this place to anybody. Specially the woman name Marcela was extremely rude and wouldn’t help with anything she was on the phone the whole time I was talking to her like I said do not go there very very bad service.

This has unfortunately been a very bad experience since the begininning and going on. I and my wife visited the store on June 18th for eye examinations. We had the exams with two different doctors and we chose the frames and left the place to wait for the frames to be ready. A week later the frames were told to be ready and we went there to pick up. My short vision reading eyeglasses was feeling not right and I mentioned this. The clerk there tried to help to get a measurement of focal point and I left the frame and we left. A week later we got there to pick the revised/corrected eye glasses. The problem was still going on with mine and my wifes bi-focal. Staff told us to set an appointment for future date because they told us that the initial exam could be wrong with mine. Believe me or not they gave us an appointment for the next week and we went there for the fourth time! It turned out to be my eye exam was wrong, really wrong. I do not want to mention the name of the doctor with the wrong exam but I do want to mention Doctor Fatima Constante Gonzalez! She corrected my eye exam and she was having a surprised look on her face how the initial exam could be that wrong from her colleague. Thanks to Fatima with a great relief we left the store and last week we got there for the fifth time to pick my and my wifes eyeglasses. You know what, my focal point is still not perfect but I am exhausted to go back and forth. My wife splitted bi-focal to short and long and her focal point for the reading is not good. We will go pick her long vision soon but I will never ever go this location again. Some of the staff is well mannered but the others are like so arrogant despite the fact that we have had issues because of their medical staff. Other than Doctor Fatima Constante Gonzalez the medical staff does not give me trust. You can believe me I can write a book about this but let me tell you something: I do not know if all visionworks locations are like that but at least pick another location and/or brand.

I went to to place 3 times and the 3 times they were nasty, only one of the boys there was nice and gentle, but the other people treated me like nothing, then they told me that my glasses will be for March 6th I went to claim my glasses and were not ready, so I mention them to please let me when they will be ready, because I don’t want to waste my time, so they were a little nasty and told me that they don’t have control over that, ten I asked who has the control? The 3rd time I sign my name and that were offer attention to people just arrived and they ignored me, when I got attention, they let me sit and forgot about me, so I decide to go home.Service is horribleAttention for the customer horrible

HORRIBLE PLACE!!!!The people are EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL and RUDE!!! I get coupons on the mail for VisionWorks that day for VSP insurance and the people here are completely clueless, been explaining to me that the coupons only work for people with NO insurance!I’ve been here 2 times already and I will never comeback again. The frames are expensive, the prices for contacts are OUTRAGEOUS.AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL CAUSE!!!

Today i visited store. I had to wait 1 hours for checkout. Spanish lady more focused on Spanish customers. Horrible customer service. She said gave me one min and she hold me there 1 hours. She bypassed me and took care Spanish customers. This my last visit to visionwork.

Great eye doctors. Give quick eye exams.Note that if youre a patient, be ready to1) come back multiple times to the store for simple tasks2) wait **20 minutes** for a pick up you already called earlier the SAME DAY for (i.e. simple Rx printout; contact lenses; etc)3) wait when multiple staff cannot figure out how much you charged me, not knowing how to look it up on the computer correctly, the FIRST time.4) hear the phone ringing off the hook, showing the potential patients in the waiting area AND on the line just how unprofessional and inefficient the staff is.

The staff are rude, they dont pay attention, they dont communicate, they keep you waiting and dont follow the appointment schedule. One staff there has some attitude problem. Its funny. I honestly love the eye doctors because they’re really nice. But some of the workers there are just rude and have such a nasty attitude. The main manager is nice and knows when work needs to be done. But some of the other girls there just seem like they hate their job and don’t even know how to speak on the phone. This is why I only come here when needed and will not purchase anything but contacts from here. So it’s a decent place, but maybe get another career or job path if you aren’t happy at your job. No ones forcing you to stay there.

Awful customer service. I’ve been there three times now, because they’re the closest eye doctors to me accepting my insurance, and each time I was treated poorly but this time my experience completely left me shocked. Doctor didn’t want to prescribe me contacts OR glasses, because I apparently need eye drops for a week...I asked if I can order glasses to start the treatment once they come in (1-2 weeks), because my current pair is old and not suitable for everyday use (eyesight is really bad) and she laughed at me. She said no, and she won’t give me a prescription. She said to me I can’t wear contacts for a week. I work every day of the week so unless I have proper glasses, I need contacts. She then called in the front desk lady, and they began both laughing about my situation, in front of me while I sat in the chair, unable to see without my contacts in. What made it even worse, is that they talked about me in the third person as if I wasn’t even in the room. I was speechless as to what I was hearing and after their conversation the doctor turned to me and said “well I’m not doing anything for you so go somewhere else.” I can not believe how poorly I was treated, this is the worst place of ANY business I have ever been to. I understand if she couldn’t have prescribed me contacts due to my irritated eyes, but to not work with me and laugh in my face about it is insane. I’m 19 and I was nothing but polite to all the staff. This is insane, I will be reaching out to their management and complaining. Hopefully they’re somewhat of a better human being.

I had to take 2 of my children, my husband and myself for glasses. The women that performed our eye exams were very sweet and patient with our family. The eye doctors were awesome! Very down to earth and insightful. We all worked with Marge to pick out our frames and lens. She did her best to ensure we had discounts because lets face it, a family of eye glass wearers can and will be expensive. So the prices even after discounting was a bit high, but their selection that was available was extensive to choose from. Our only issues were the phone calls we received to pick up the glasses. The first woman called to say our 1 daughters glasses were in. I explained to her that I had 2 children that came that should each have 2 pairs to pick up. That is when the woman sucked her teeth on the phone as if I annoyed her and it caused her to be temporarily inconvenienced in having to actually do her job and check on them. The second issue came in when I called to check if both mine and my husbands frames were in. I provided our last name and then both of our first names. The woman was rude stating she didnt need all that and just our last names...then asks our first names to ensure the glasses in our systems are ours. Smh! If it wasnt for the phone experiences we could have given a better rating because the rest of the staff was awesome.

The Clifton location is the best! I had trouble getting my glasses ordered correctly at another location and the staff in Clifton fixed it! And fast! The location is in a congested area but I would go back for the customer service! 5 stars!

The girls who work there are extremely RUDE , they speak to the customers as if they were bothered buy their presence.Doctor is amazing !!!! They have good glasses but until they change/train staff , I won’t be returning to that place .It’s a shame that a costumer (myself) has to feel disrespected and uncomfortable while dealing with the Costumer service staff .

Dont waste your time coming here because they are extremely rude and unprofessional. They dont care at all about their customers. My wife made an appointment for me as a new patient because of my busy schedule and they denied she ever made an appointment and instead of offering a new appointment or fixing the issue they just said in a very rude way to go to another location because they are all booked. How would they have all my information if supposedly she did not make an appointment and Im a new patient? Dont believe the positive reviews because for it to be my first time here, it proves what kind of people work here. Will hope to have a better experience in another location.

The optometrist was very knowledgeable and welcoming, the 1 star is for her. The customer service gets a zero from me. I went in a little over a month ago for my annual eye exam, and could have ordered contacts and two sets of glasses from them. They were not knowledgeable with the services my insurance provided, and I get that it may be hard to know the ins and outs of each insurance company, but I dunno is unacceptable. I had already contacted my insurance company, so I was aware of what my coverage was but the lady (I forget her name) tried to convince me that I was wrong. After going back and forth with her for at least 5 minutes, she pushed some buttons on the keyboard and found my detailed coverage. They were very unprofessional, condescending and made me feel like they were talking bad about me in Spanish. Who does that in a professional place of business??? So rude! Fast forward, I called the other day to have my contacts shipped to me. I asked the lady who answered appx. how long it should take for me to receive them and her response was again...I dunno. I will not be going back there because i am sick of the i dunnos!

No greeting, not even a smile (more like a chore for her)Not polite, inpatient with patients and lacks professionalism. When she speaks she is not clear and got aggitated when corrected. The lack of customer service and professionalism at this branch is appalling. I have been in this store more times than I can count and not once have I had an even semi decent experience. Honestly, I believe that proper training with their system would lessen the hostility you receive from the employees. If they knew how to find your information without asking every other coworker and placing you on hold for fifteen minutes, they would probably be in better moods. Furthermore, with proper training, they would most likely learn how not to charge my account twice for one order of contacts. If they at least showed just a tiny bit of customer service by calling to make me aware of the accident, I probably wouldnt be writing this review. But since they did not, I have reached my breaking point. I have however, seen one doctor that was very informative and very sweet. The other two that I have seen could care less if your eye was rolled backwards. This store has great products and so much potential to be very successful and to have a higher rating than a 1.9 out of 5. Unfortunately, with a staff that is careless and clearly unhappy (which came directly from a staff member) you should anticipate a negative experience.

First and last time I come to this place, I wouldnt recommend it to no friends or family. Worse customer service ever, staff since not to care about patients, and on top provide you with wrong information. Staff eating on the floor like theres nothing to do when having patients on the waiting are, leave you waiting more then 10min unless you say something thats when they since to acknowledge patient is sitting down. Dont bother coming to this place.

No customer service skills. Probably had to come here about 4/5 times before I was able to get my lenses and contacts because they want you to feel comfortable with it on. Understood but kinda exaggerated. They rush you off the phones, while im trying to save myself a trip and them an extra body in their busy facility.I had an issue getting my glasses in the mail over 2 weeks, no one bothered to let me know it was in the store with an address on the otherside of the world. That should be a clue to someone that something was off. So while they are telling me they will call me back im calling everyday for an answer for 1 week in addition to the 2 weeks waiting for my glasses in the mail. Finally i get someone on the phone and have to tell them not to hang up and look for my glasses at that very moment because no one was getting back to me. And what do you know, there they were in the piles. Fine. Just give me my glasses, Im blind.I can never tell who the manager is because everyone always looks like they are running around like chickens without head or doesnt care whats going on.After all that my glasses ended up breaking (my fault they were crooked tried to fix them, my own frames)But while i was on the phone wondering what they could do, i was rushed off the phone AGAIN*only had a great experience with a young hispanic gentleman who really helped me look for frames that would really go with my face* THIS IS CUSTOMER SERVICE.RECOMMENDATION: You can do better with your time and money. Only had to go once or twice to get my rx and glasses at Associated Eye Physicians on clifton ave, amazing place or Warby Parker, online.

Horrible customer service horrible they barley acknowledge you when u come through the door I ended up getting there like 30 minutes late because I got stuck at work and literally the place was empty and the woman told me that they have back to back appointments so I would have to reschedule even though I already had an appointment for 3 o’clock and I showed up at like 330 I ended up just walking out that one was absolutely atrocious the one with the blonde hair do not go to this one they also overcharge you for glasses and force you to buy a second pair I had a bad experience with them five years ago on 46 and I am never ever using them I don’t care if my company pays insurance

The optometrist here is the only one who can get my prescription right. I love her and travel over an hour to see her. Something usually goes wrong and I need to get my glasses remade. It has happened several times. Expect to be on hold for extended periods when you call. Expect your glasses to take longer than expected. Ive also had issues with the staff not getting my PD correct, they neglect to put down each eye and instead put down a total which is inaccurate. The staff is friendly though. The bathroom has always been clean.

Terrible experience from the call itself. The phone rang 15 times before someone picked up. Once answered, I explained what I needed and was put on hold immediately and waited 2 more minutes. A woman by the name of Marlene answered and had no idea what was discussed. Apparently there are two people working there and none of the info that was shared with the first person was shared with Marlene. I decided not to make an appt based on poor customer service.

Optometrist is awesome! I went there with my children and she was very patient and sweet with all of us. Maguie in customer service is beyond professional, she even stayed one day late because I needed my glasses asap... Other than that, terrible experience. I had to wait 3 weeks for my glasses to be ready, I had to call, nobody called me as a courtesy to tell me that the frame I wanted was in backorder. The rest of the personnel is rude. Also, frames are overpriced.

The whole staff is poorly educated the 2 Spainsh associates the young male and old lady even the owner is a liar Last name Cummings Doctor Judith Skinner knew that something was wrong with my eyes and refused to have a diffrent eye Doctor see me who specializes with gestational diabetes vision loss both of the sales associate lack common sense no training and respect others who are pregnant too the young male needs to be fired for not knowing his messages that I have him and fully explained to him myself who is a college student might I add.

Is a fraud, they say look at, the frames, all signs say $69.95, FALSE. No one. Ever came to help me, I had an appointment for 9;45am, I was called at 11:45,UNACCEPTABLE!My insurance provides. Free. Frames, they never mentioned it or give me an option. They said contacts covered by insurance, then I got. Charged $39 for contacts!? They said in order to be seen I needed a 3D special text not covered by insurance, $39.00!?My insurance said: NO OUT OF POCKET AT ALL! I ended up having to pay $80+ dollars.

The experience was ridiculously bad. I was in the store for 30 minutes and I was never approached by a customer service representative. I even initiated contact by asking a question about mail frames and was promptly dismissed after she answered.Do yourself a favor dont even bother with this place. These ladies dont care what they do care about seems to be on a plate or in the back room somewhere. Its a shame that customer service in America has hit rock bottom.If you want to see what that looks like walk into the Visionworks in Clifton, NJ. Its good for a laugh, but thats about all!

A Regional manager needs to get in contact with me!!!!!12/23/19...I am back with my child after a year for our yearly exam and all I can say is I will be finding a new eye doctor. This place is worse than before there i one other patient waiting and they were after us. I waited an hour to see the eye doctor and until I said something my child got seen. I thought maybe I needed glasses bc I have no idea why i waited and hour to the the doctor when there was no one ahead of us I came @3:30pm.Dr. skinner was so patient with my kids especially my 10 y.o that was very antsy and nervouse. She took the time to explain every move she was making and explained about the problems with thier eyes.

I really don’t recommend this place to nobody. The staff are so rude and so disorganize. And so unprofessional. I love the glasses they have but I would not go there again because of the staff.I went to this office on Wednesday to buy new glasses Because mine broke down. One staff was helping me and check everything in the computer regarding my plan with my insurance and then she told me to look for the glasses I want and come back to her after. I wasn’t trying to buy a expensive pair cus I had already use my insunrance for the year I knew that the insurance won’t cover much but I was willing to pay. Then another staff took over and help me after I had already select the glasses I wanted she told me something completely different from the other staff. Now I said to the staff that why is the other girl telling something different. I just want to get glasses I dont care how much I pay but just tell me straight up. Summary of what happen: they both started arguing in the office in front of patients. I feel Like they are so unprofessional and THE KEY WORD IS THEY DONT WORK IN TEAMS WHICH SUCKS.

I wanted to post no stars but that wasnt an option. It took FOREVER to check out when we were there. I was called for notification my contacts had come and was not told they would not be released until I saw the doctor. The doctor wasnt in and was notified AFTER making the 20 mile trip that I was supposed to be there before 7:00. Wasted trip!! Poor communication, poor service. Will find another option next time.

I made a 3:15 appointment for contacts on 6/20/12 and wasnt seen for the initial workup until about 3:40. I dont mind that but right as I was getting seen a manager lady felt it necessary to question the employee seeing me about her break that day and petty stuff like that. For one that delayed her from seeing me and two its incredibly unprofessional. Here I am at 4:00 and I still havent seen the doctor and theres no saying how long itll be. Make sure you have nothing to do after coming here because they cant keep a schedule or call their appointments ahead of time to inform them of the delay.

I gave this office a four because the doctors and the front staff treated me excellent. I was seen five min after I walked in. I was out in a jiffy. The environment was clean, cant say much for the people who visited the office lol.

Extremely bad customer service, unable to keep there promise on the due date of having my son glasses available. I was told they where going to be ready for pick up on the 5th of July, and when I called around 4pm on the due date, they werent even cut yet. And the Margie had the only attitude over phone. Will never go the this visionworks again.

Got the at 9:12 for my 9:15 appointment the lady asked me can I help you told her I had an appointment she said ok and didn’t say anything to me for at least 10 min while she was on her phone then gave me the paperwork to fill out filled it out and gave back promptly then about another 20 min passed by so I asked how long it would take she said that’s its was gonna be a at least a half hour horrible horrible horrible customer service

I have never left a review over any type of business, ever. But this spot is one of the worst places that I have ever been to. Im not writing this after my first visit, which was terrible. I didnt get angry over that because everyone has a bad day, and I put up with the BS of my first visit hoping it was just a bad day that the staff was having.Nope.I left after waiting TWO HOURS after my appointment was made to see the doctor. Came back for my second appointment to pick up my contacts, and was told that whoever called me to pick them up was wrong and that they were not ready. Ok, cool, not a big deal.I come back the third time for them, and I have never worn contacts before, it took a lot of practice to wear them. The entire time that I was trying to put them on the manager I assume, was walking past me huffing and puffing that I was taking too long to put them on and wanted to stop me and reschedule my appointment to COME BACK and try them on again.Finally, I put them on. And guess what? They werent my contacts. They were someone elses prescription. I had worn someone elses prescription , by then the doctor wouldnt allow me to try my own prescription on because my eye was too sensitive. The manager? She didnt even apologize, she looked pissed and annoyed and gave me so much attitude as if this was my fault. Mind you, I was laughing the entire time that this was happening because Im not the type to cause a scene in a place of business. I didnt even file a complaint or anything at all, I just ignored it all and walked out hoping that my FOURTH time in there would be a better experience.I finally received my contacts and felt like I thankfully, wouldnt have to deal with them again.. But of course, another situation occurred so I had to contact them for help and boy was that a mistake.Do yourselves a favor, find any other Optometrist and go there. Find a local and go to him/her, better to help them out then this place. Never going to go here again. Made an account JUST to write this because I have never been this angry over a place of business, ever. If I could give zero stars, I would.

The worst staff they schedule appts but do not confirm with insurances ahead of time. the canceled two appts for their incompetence. The third appt i called just in case they will tell me agin the same thing.. And sure enough .. They gave me the same excuse. I had to be with out glasses for three weeks. They did not care that i explained that mine broke and i needed emergency glasses... The staff is rude and disrespectfull i wish i can give the cero stars.

This place is so unorganized! I came in the door and I said that I had an appointment that I made online. They said they couldnt find my name, but I gave her the confirmation number and they were disgruntled that they did not have me on their schedrule. I gave them my insurance card and they said they did not take it. I said I checked online and Davis Vision recommended this place as a provider. They said since my employer was in ny I could only go to ny eye doctors. This statement is beyond false. I work in health care and know that is not true. I asked if they could call Davis vision to make sure because I made sure I did the research. They declined. I called Davis shortly afterward and confirmed that they were a provider. Well I walked out, they were not getting my buisness. A little lesson on customer service could help as well!

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I came into the office in July and scheduled an appointment for a new eye exam with new insurance which I never used at the location. The front desk informed me I was not due for an exam because their doctors only perform eye exams once a year when I clearly explained I could no longer see with the old prescription. The exam was going to be paid either by me or the insurance so the office being paid was not the issue, they just kept saying I was not due for an exam. I am a dental office manager and if a patient comes in complaining about pain even if they were in the day before, week, or months before they are entitled to a new exam whether they are due or not! I asked to speak to a manager and clearly they have no skills whatsoever to work with the patient, she said you can come in now because your insurance will pay for the exam (btw the insurance was going to pay for the exam in July also) and I have to pay to change the lenses on the glasses I just purchased in July due their mistake. The office was busy on the day that I went in with over 6 people waiting so why not just remove one exam to keep their schedule flowing?

I gave this place a 2nd chance after my first experience was terrible. The staff seems to dislike working there and the Dr also seemed miserable do to the over booked schedule. This year I saw a new dr who was younger and he was nicer but when I came to pick my contacts up they wouldnt let me leave without seeing the dr. I waited for over an hour and was still not seen. I told the front desk I had to leave and she said it was because I didnt have an appointmen that I had to wait.I ended up leaving without seeing the dr. Ill go back tomorrow but after I get my contacts I will no longer go to vision works. Save yourself the time and money and go to someone who cares about you and your time. This is like going to a clinic. Poor customer service

At the time of my appointment, I was still within my third trimester, I was due for a basic eye exam so that I could renew my contact prescription. The appointment was around 2:00 PM and the front desk receptionist couldnt multi-task to save her life. I came in early knowing that I would need to fill out new patient paperwork and they still did not get be back to the doctor until almost 2:45.Upon this, I was asked what my drug allergies were and the doctor that I saw was a middle aged african american woman whose name I do not remember, however; she explained to me that she would not count the drug allergies unless they HAD BEEN APPROVED OR PROVEN BY A DRUG ALLERGIST OR MY PCP (Primary Care Physician). Shocked to hear her say this, I explained to her that if she was going to dialiate my eyes I had to have a specific drop due to the dye in the one particular drop causes excruciating pain and I was sent to the ER last time because it was in fact an allergic reaction. She disagreed and wouldnt listen and basically told me I was crazy. This was the very moment I retorted by simply grabbing my items and walking out of the facility. They are by far the worst eye-care I have EVER been to and I HOPE you will do your research before going to them as well.

The worst customer service anyone could encounter, I’m asking them questions about eye contacts and they don’t know anything about what they working with, so they just hangs up the phone on me and never answer the phone again .and they don’t care about the customers they just want the day to go by so they can go home, never coming back here again.
