Holy Cowpea! Little Diner on 1st is gem in our community! If you are looking for a great locals spot for break or lunch, this is it! They also entered in this year’s International Cowpea Festival and Cook-off and won 1st Place with their Grits, Black-eyed Peas, Greens and Sriracha Bacon. They have been serving the winning dish in the restaurant and sell out every day! They also had a recent breakfast visit from Kirk Cameron!
We hit Little Diner for breakfast on the weekends and love its small quaint interior. It gets busy, so get there early or be prepared to stand outside. Menu items are fairly priced for the decent portion sizes. Staff is always courteous and the food is always served hot and quick. Touchless payments are accepted.
Hands down my favorite breakfast stop in Cleveland!! Art and his staff are top notch and its always friendly service and great food. Love the little atmosphere!!
We stopped and went in because we have seen a lone out the door a few times. They only serve breakfast on Saturday. The food was DELICIOUS! We will definitely be coming back!!
This place is oh so good. I usually have a 6 oz burger and fries, both of which are unique and delicious. Today I tried the honey sriracha shrimp pasta on special and it was spicy without too much kick, well cooked and they certainly did not skimp on the shrimp. Everything always tastes great, you can tell its freshly made. And the service has always been so friendly, its exactly what youd expect from a small town diner and then some. If youre in Cleveland, youve got to stop here.
Took a few minutes to be acknowledged, no sign say if we should seat ourselves or wait. Food was quick...and delicious. Their biscuits are HUGE. Will be back again.
This was my first time at this establishment. The large Burger was excellent and the fries were awesome. Huge large curly cues and nice & potatoey as well.❤️

Locally owned and operated. The staff and owners included make you feel like family as soon as you walk in. Ive never eaten anything there that I didnt like and the portions are huge. Give them a try! You wont be disappointed!

Marginal , Ive eaten there twice and had to ask for eating utensils both times and it took a while. . The sides werent posted and staff said they had been too busy.A hamburger steak is not a hamburger paddy. The pinto beans had some kind of Mexican spice that made them inedible.The breakfast I had was much better .

Food good but the one young waitress was not doing anything I asked for butter and a refill for our drinks and she did neither so I went and cancelled my to go order and paid. letting the other waitress now she was doing two jobs and I appreciated her

Very busy place. I had the omelet. And my wife had the breakfast special. Both were very good. And the prices were good. Would recommend this place. It is however a small restaurant so seating is limited.

After living in Cleveland for 3 years I finally had the opportunity to eat at the Little Diner On 1st. It had a great, hometown, friendly atmosphere and the food was incredible. There is not a better breakfast in Cleveland, TN and you cannot beat the prices here. Highly recommend the biscuits and gravy! 10/10 will be eating here weekly from now on.

I cant say enough wonderful things about this hometown diner! The cooks and servers are amazing, so friendly and professional! You have to go! It has become a weekly must for us! Jaicy and Amanda have become our favs!!!
We had an excellent meal; quick service with hearty portions. The Biscuit for biscuits and gravy was large and flaky. Pancakes were quite good as well. Price is good as well.The place itself was very cute! To those who are being cautious, there is not really any social distancing, so keep that in mind.

Exceptional! Cute little place downtown, always more customers than space and food made to order. Great quality breakfasts and super atmosphere. Such a neat place to go and have an omelet for lunch or an au jus sandwich.

Great sweet tea and breakfast. Prices are fantastic. This place knows how to cook eggs and the biscuits are big and fluffy! Bacon was perfect, not too hard or too limp. The decor is really authentic and homey. I also was surprised and appreciated the real flowers on the tables it was a nice touch! Will definitely be back, first time visiting because we always work when they are open. If youre thinking about it you should try this place out!

This previously had 5 stars from me. Over the past year the new cook has managed to completely turn that around. I went from going there at least twice a week to once a week. Then maybe once a month. My last visit a month ago was absolutely my last visit. I used to look forward to my breakfast at Little Diner.

I have to say the Little Diner was not the worst place I have eaten in Cleveland, as a matter of fact the food wasnt even bad (well except my extremely runny omelette) it just wasnt good either. Nothing really had any flavor to it at all, just very bland and plain. Almost no taste to it at all. My friend orders there breakfast special, which by the way is a great price. I think its eggs, pancakes and sausage and bacon. The sausage really just had no flavor to it at all. Everything else he had was fine, nothing special. I got the vegetable omelet, the veggies in it tasted pretty fresh but it was so absolutely runny if I had managed to eat it I would have needed a spoon. It was very bad. They pre make the home fries, again no taste at all. So they were cold. Service wasnt bad but it wasnt that good. The absolutely worst thing about the place though is that its exactly like the name little so you are cramped in there. There is barely enough room for your server to stand at your table to take of bring you your order and even less space to stand in line to pay your bill which they were pretty slow at doing.
I always love love love visiting! Sometimes its tough to get a table but worth waiting. My most recent visit came with meeting a couple sitting at the next table that was absolutely amazing. Wonderful place attracting wonderful people!

The food is mediocre at best, and that’s only if you’re lucky. And the service is somehow even worse. Everyone in there acts like they are above me, and that’s not what I want in a server. The food is cheap, and that’s about the only positive thing I can say. Don’t waste your money here. There are plenty of other great local breakfast spots in Cleveland.
