Said he would repair the A/C (really, pretty much replace it), locate and stop the oil leak thats plagued us for years in our 93 Camry wagon. Gave his estimate of the cause, location of the leak, what would be required for the A/C regen, quoted me a price for the total job.He was right on. Did what he promised, when he promised, at the price he quoted. Replaced the timing belt in the process.It doesnt get any better than that.The garage has a good feel to it. Rafferty and his people obviously enjoy working on cars. The joy is contagious -- something I dont mind catching. Dont be put off by the surroundings -- place looks a little like an auto junk yard -- only thing missing is the dog.I came here on the reccomendation of a friend and am glad I did.

We took our car to Rafferty Automotive to get fixed. We knew what the issue was, but wanted the reassurance of a mechanic fixing the issue. When we got our car back, it was not fixed. We were out a lot of money. We attempted to resolve the issue with the owner, with negative results. He doesnt reply back. We had to take our car to car to another mechanic to get it fixed. Stay away from Rafferty Automotive.

Terrible mechanic, my wife took her car in to have power steering fixed, they fixed it stopped working 2 months later. They didnt actually fix the issue and still charged us $250. I called the guy in the office and left 3 messages but he never called me back, I didnt even tell him what I was calling about I just said I had a question and gave him my number.This is not the first time they have done a terrible job fixing one of my cars, but my wife liked taking it to them. They try to get over on women. I suggest if youre in the area take your car to Welcome Tire and Auto in Welcome across from Food Lion. Whatever you do dont take it to Raffertys.

Todd Rafferty is great. Explains the repair, shows old parts, and doesnt charge a high price. Two weeks ago I took my E150 in for new rear shocks. I had already purchased coil over shocks for the rear because I tow with the vehicle. Anyway, I failed to say rear shocks only to Todd so he ended up removing front and rear shocks. Again, my mistake for not explaining things correctly. Once he realized I didnt provide front shocks, he had to act. He purchased heavy duty shocks for the front at a discount which he passed onto me. His price for everything was very good. It is good that it all happened the way it did. The van really did need the front shocks done too. I didnt fully appreciate it though till we were on the road with our trailer and the clamp failed which allowed the trailer to disconnect. I have the feeling if the old shocks had still been on, I could have lost control and had a disaster with my family. The van didnt even budge. All I heard was a clunk and saw a shower of sparks. I was able to safely pull over and deal with the problem. Thank you Todd. You are a life saver.

They will not take all your $ for a repair like some places. Only bad thing is hard to get them to answer the phone. The low cost usually makes up for the inconvenience.

I spoke with Todd Rafferty last Friday. We talked about a problem I had with my security on my van. I explained to him after hours of searching on Google I give up. He told me Google is a joke and make sure that i have my van towed to his garage by Monday morning and he would have me back on the road that day. Well Monday came and went. I knew that Tuesday was New Years day. So I waited to call him until Wednesday afternoon? Left a message and waited? And waited... Thursday I tried calling again on several occasions. Finally I asked a friend to call off their phone. Guess what? He answered!!! He gave her ever excuse in the book and told her he would call me in the morning . What a joke!!! No call? So i Called several times Friday until I gave up and once again called a tow company. The tow company wanted me to make sure that they would release my van to them. So I left work to drive out to his shop. Because one of his employees told the tow truck driver that he screens his calls. Why waist anymore time calling. The biggest problem that I have with Todd Rafferty is that he was told that Ive been renting a car and that my van is my life. My office on wheels. If you do business with Todd Rafferty just plan on him lying to you,Not answering your calls And worst of all Not caring about his costumers. He is a spineless person!!!! In rental fees and tow bills ive spent $496 and my van has yet to be taken care of.

Mr. Rafferty has been my mechanic for close to 25 years. Would never consider going to anyone else. Best in the business.

I recently was referred to Todd Rafferty through one of my close friends. I have an 08 Lexus with a lot of highways miles from travel. I had an uncharacteristic engine problem and met with the Lexus Dealership and discussed options- they mentioned that I got a lot of use out of this vehicle at 309K miles and probably needed to just let them run through the salvage sale and look at investing in a newer Lexus. I was not satisfied because I have never had any issues with this vehicle since my purchase in 09 with 19K miles. The body and interior look Great. I was not ready to let go- so I called around to several auto shops and no one felt like it was worth it. So I made one last call to my good buddy and I said surely you know someone that would be able to find a low mileage motor. He said yes, let’s call Todd in Clemmons. First of all I love Todd’s voice and confident demeanor. He said no worries - let me make some calls and I’ll call you back. Within 30 minutes Todd called me back, found me a newer engine and gave me the price. My next comment was- do you know anyone that could tow my car in from the Lexus dealership to start repairs. He said I’ll send someone today to pick up!My anxiety subsided and he did a fantastic job at a fabulous price. The car is back in my possession and runs fantastic. Doesnt return calls...I have always trusted Todd,but I dont trust some of his mechanics.My car was in their shop for two months and still having problems! Seems like they are causing problems to lead to other problems!!!! My car may be old(2004),but it only has 89,000 miles on it!

Had oil filter gasket replaced on vehicle csr came out and drove it back home steering wheel is way off and not straight was straight before.

Half the price of a vehicle for down payment and remaining payments to be paid in full within the year. I dont recommend.
