I called Vision Works about 7 minutes before they closed, and a representative answered the phone (I did not catch her name) and greeted me normally. When I asked them a question regarding purchasing new contact lenses, she told me that they were closed and that I would have to call back in the morning. Why would they answer the phone if they were closed and not open with that? Ill give them the benefit of the doubt and not make any assumptions without knowing their side of the story. I called back the next day and spoke with Sydney who told me that because my prescription was over a year old it was expired and I would need to schedule another exam to get them refilled even though my eye-sight hasnt changed. When I requested a copy of my prescription she told me that the computer automatically deleted the expired prescription and there was no way for me to get them. I told them that that was disappointing that they deleted my medical records after only about 2 years and that I would call them back if I wanted to schedule an exam with them for the additional $177 out of pocket expense. Almost before I could even finish my sentence they hung up on me. A few minutes later I had my mother contact them requesting my records, and Sydney told her that they never said that my records were deleted, just that they wouldnt refill them and wouldnt provide my records to us. After explaining the massive flaws in their logic regarding providing us with OUR OWN medical records, we requested to speak with the manager and Sydney said that she would fax over our records. Between this and a number of negative experiences in the past with them lying to us, refusing to correct poorly-made prescription glasses, and many other incidents, I would recommend finding a different optometrist. The doctors are friendly and professional, but the staff working the desks and customer service will lie to you to get you to pay extra for services that arent necessary. I hope that they can rework their business model into one that is inviting and bolsters confidence in ones medical provider.

I had a great customer service experience at this location. I needed to have my contact and glasses prescription faxed from the Tampa location to this location. The representative not only helped me with the fax but he let me know about the promotion for 60% off on glasses if I order a supply of contacts as well. Every employee was well informed and very helpful with my vision process!

Visionworks was a very pleasant experience. The location is easy to find, the wait was short and the people who worked their were very nice and attentive. Dr. DAO is truly amazing she was so knowledgeable and made going to the eye doctor fun. She has cutting edge technology, diagrams/ display your eyes and details the condition, plus she answered all my question. I would recommend her to anyone, especially if you need someone who is adept, educated and well trained. Best optometrist in the bay area.

I have worn glasses for many years, If I could have a minus rating for them I would. First for the exam I was herded thru like cattle. Next the salesman that was trying to sell me glasses told me that my insurance was no good (they are an in net provider) he then tried to sell me glasses for 40% off retail price after telling me that the cost of my glasses would be over $700. I was furious thinking that I paid for useless insurance. I left and contacted my insurance company. They told me that vision works had been doing this! I ended up at America’s Best and I would recommend them. They were out of network and treated me great. They will always be my company for all my vision needs.Don’t waste your time and money at vision works!

Worst fitting ever! I took a pair of my Lunor prescription glasses (retail $595 for the frames plus an additional $295 for lenses) to this location to do a simple fitting & bending of the temple tips near my ears. Tara (the woman who tried to help me) literally warped them!She didn’t even care to look how they fit on me. I do NOT recommend this place for fitting - especially if you’ve got an expensive pair of glasses or sunglasses.

Went in to get my glasses adjusted after I sat on them. I was greeted as I walked in, had my temperature taken then ask how they could help me. Then I was asked to have a seat and Tera immediately started to assist me. Within a couple of minutes she had my glasses back on my face and me out the door. Very friendly and helpful staff! I will be retuning when I need new glasses.

Went there today for an exam and to order glasses. What a warm and welcoming staff, from the reception, to Dr Williams assistant, to the doc himself. The store manager was very hands on and my sales lady guided me through the process effortlessly. Highly recommend thir store!

Bought my first pair of eyeglasses at this location within a few months had to bring them back to be fixed because something was delaminating on the lenses. When first being met at the counter things seem normal as soon as I sit down an older woman short dark hair with the classes short basically starts accusing me of not taking proper care of the glasses And told me it would cost $30 to have them fixed, I paid the money. Just the other day I return to the store same bitter woman basically tries to tell me again that I’m not taking care of the glasses again and that I would have to pay 30 more dollars you’ve got nothing. If they would’ve been fixed correctly the first time I wouldn’t of had to come back in and ask for them to be repaired again I can’t help that they’re delaminating.You would think a big company like this would stand behind their products or maybe they do in this little woman does not wanna let it get past her as far as customer service. She was extremely rude, very judge mental, accusing, and that is not the kind of service I desire at any time

They do not force clients to wear a mask, so I will being scheduling my next appointment here. Employees should not be forced to though.

Overall the office is very nice. The eye doctor is Extremely informative even the women who help them out are great! However the sales Women Marta was extremely unpleasant. She talked to me EXTREMELY loud and slow when I asked her to repeat herself. She basically acted as if I was an idiot because I didn’t understand her the first time. While trying to pick out frames she spoke to me like this again, at that point I decided I was going to find glasses elsewhere.

This is the place to go for your vision. Great customer service.

I didnt have to wait to be taken care of. The gentleman seemed vary caring..and helpful! He didnt act like a sales person. He wasnt pushy. Although his job is to sell me my glasses...he did it in a respectful way. Prices are good! I definetely would refer Visionworks to others!

I had an amazing experience seeing Dr. Dao! She was so personable and informative. I was nervous because I had previously been told that I would not be a candidate for lasik surgery. She did a thorough exam and to my surprise I am a candidate!! I highly recommend her for any individual that is looking for a caring medical professional who truly takes their time with patients.

Showed up at 4:00 for my appointment. At 4:20 I asked when I was going to be seen because I needed to leave by 5:00. At 4:40 the receptionist told me that the patient before me was taking longer than expected and it was going to be some time before I was seen. I don’t have time to wait 1 hour in the lobby for an eye appt. I’ll be going to see another eye doctor.

The doctor was great but I dont like how they have signs saying buy one get one free all glasses then say oh not for you because you have insurance! Why does that matter since they will get insurance also!? That didnt feel right.

Really good prices, the staff were great and friendly, and did all the safe practices needed while I was there.

They tried to over charge my by 100’s of dollars, very unethical. I’ve been a getting eyeglass and contacts exams for over ten years and they said they would have to do a bunch of extra tests for me to get my prescriptions. They also said I would have to purchase both glasses and contacts same day to be able to have my prescription. I will most definitely never come here again.

Came here for an emergency glasses repair. One skewer of my glasses was missing while I was having fun on the beach. And people in this store were really my life savers. A nice lady with grey hair helped me fixed my glasses and cleaned them without charging me any money. I was so relieved that I even forgot to ask about her name. Anyway I was saved and really recommend people come here to buy or fix your glasses. They are great and professional!!!

My family has shopped here for years and have always had a great experience. They accept my insurance and file the claim accurately. They have always gotten our glasses completed within the time they said it would be. And most importantly, the staff is friendly and very helpful. Some of them have been working there 20+ years, so they know what they are doing.

I needed an exam and glasses in order to do a course. When I came to vision works Dr. Dao was great. She got my perfect prescription and checked the health of my eyes. The was a small miscommunication on how long the glasses would take to get made but Samantha helped me sort it out and I was able to get a pair basically next day which was very helpful as I needed them that quick. Everyone at this store was super friendly and helpful, from the people at the counter when I first walked in who helped direct me where to go for my eye exam, to the eye exam receptionist who helped me get all of the necessary paperwork completed. Then there was the tech who helped get the measurements of my eyes who made me feel comfortable with the process (she was super fun to talk to also!), and the doctor who was friendly and spent enough time with me making sure I understood everything and addressing all of my concerns. After not going to the eye doctor for over 10 years, this was a great experience. They also have a wide selection of frames to choose from. I will go back to this team every time!

I went to Vision Works on Missouri Avenue. I went to have my glasses repaired but unfortunately my glasses couldnt be repaired. They had asked if I would like to see the doctor. Knowing that I havent had a vision exam in over 2 years I said yes. I didnt have an appointment but they took me in anyway. From there on it was a great experience beginning with the Receptionist down to Lorin who helped me pick my glasses. An added benefit was that it was BOGO. I had changed my mind on a color for my sunglasses and I called them back. It wasnt a problem for them. What a great team they have at the Vision Works. I will always go back there.

Great experience at the Clearwater Visionworks! Samantha was very helpful in picking out our new frames. We were never rushed even though we were there for quite a while because my husband and I both needed new glasses and sunglasses.

My first visit to this location turned out to be a very positive experience. The staff were super friendly and my appointment time was honored. Wanda the receptionist politely asked me to fill out forms and return to her. Next Laura called me into the examining room and performed a thorough examination. Finally Dr. Dao came in, introduced herself and proceeded to finish the exam dilating my pupils. I will definitely return when its time for my next exam. If there is one negative, there are no magazines anywhere in the facility.

Great fast service! Lost glasses in the ocean, at 2:30 pm called them to see about avail appointments and they were booked but said I could possibly get in as a walk in. I needed glasses fast and the lab closed at 4:30 so I would need to get the exam and select glasses before then. I was feeling dejected as I had to take a cab from the beach and didnt think I had enough time. When I got there they were able to get me in for an exam within 15 minutes. I had my exam and was able to pick out frames in time for them to be made that day! I was back on the island by 6pm. Everyone there was very friendly and helpful and really tried hard to make sure I could see again!

Went for the 2 pairs for $89 deal. Its a great deal if you need the slightest of vision correction. If you have the need for thicker lenses but dont want coke bottle glasses, you have to go with the polycarbonate lenses which adds to the price. If you want transitions lenses its more again.So the original price is great to get you in the door, but be prepared to shell.out way more money.As for the staff, they are very friendly and knowledgeable, the store is clean and well organized. The eye doctor was explaining the tests she was doing as well. All in all a good place

I made an appointment for an eye exam at this location and upon making the appointment I was not informed that my insurance was out of their network. They told me when I arrived that their staff did not have time to check. Im not upset although I feel I was scammed into coming in anyway. I left immediately. I do not recommend.
