I just purchased a new Construction home and the door wasnt working properly. I was put in contact with McIllwain Doors by my builder and Slim called me right away. My schedule is very tight so he showed up within an hour and fixed the problem. He explained everything thoroughly and was very knowledgeable. I just wish every service type business was as customer service oriented as these guys are. Thanks Slim, the door works great!

Called for service because my door was acting funky. The woman who answered the phone was very friendly and the repair guy came the same day, within a few hours of my call. There’s the two stars..The gentleman who came to the house was very polite and friendly. He immediately told me about Springs and rollers that needed to be replaced (around $200) & that the motor on the opener was “fried” which is “$385 to replace.” I explained we’d had a power surge several months back & the door would still open, but you had to press the button multiple times for it to work. He then stated we should get a surge protector and said my problem was “the electric” being out - but again, the door still works, you can hear it clicking and the light comes on when you press the button? He then suggested it was probably “just the circuit board” and said he could replace it and save me “an extra $150” because he could replace that without replacing the entire opener.Anyone who comes into a nice neighborhood with nice, large homes and speaks to a woman (especially me) whose husband is away shouldn’t assume I’m just going to throw money at a problem because I can. I expect honesty. This experience felt a lot like a scam. I hope this was an isolated incident and that I overreacted... but regardless I will be taking my business elsewhere.

This is my go to garage door company. Called them at 0800 and Slim fixed problem before noon. Slim not only changed the springs, but took time to explain proper maintenance. Highly recommend.

I had called the office and set up an appointment to get an estimate. Gentleman came out and looked at what needed to be done. We dont live there so he was going to contact me with an estimate. Needless to say, he NEVER did. Found out from a few other peoole that they had the same problem. Bad business. I will be sure to pass this information on to friends and colleagues.

I had Slim at my house tday do to lightning strike what damage on my LiftMasters. He couldnt safe them but installed new ones. He was very quick to a install them also had to call to get a second one brought to my house. He also explained the app so I can open them with my smartphone.Great service called in yesterday and go today an appointment he also came earlier.Thank you

Professional at the initial conversation but never gave me an estimate on my garage door. I called at least 6 times and was told they will get with me. The office never answered the phone. I hope this is not how they regularly conduct business.

This company has made empty promises of fixing my garage door for 9 months. They say they have ordered the piece & I have yet to get it repaired. I have had to make all the contacts. This company is the worst I have ever dealt with. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone.

I purchased a garage door on 10/27. It was a custom door with keypad and opener. Service was friendly and pricing was reasonable. They showed up about 6 weeks later to install my new door. Unfortunately, thats about as good as it got. They ordered the wrong door and didnt realize it until my old door was already removed. So they installed the door they had until they could reorder a new one and bring it out to install. Then they realized they forgot to grab the keypad for outside at the shop. They call the shop and find out they dont even have any in stock and they would have to order some of those as well. Then they didnt have enough trim to go all the way around my door so now its been another 6 weeks and I have the wrong door, no keypad and missing trim. Havent heard from them since before the holiday and quite displeased.March 29th - It is now almost April and I still dont have the correct door, the keypad or door trim. I spoke to them about 4-5 weeks ago and they said it would be taken care of and here we are, Still waiting. Im going down there today. Enough is enough.8-18-17 : It has almost been a year now and STILL MISSING WEATHER TRIM. They did install the correct door at the end of April and the keypad.11-19-2017 - It has now been over a year since i bought the door and im still missing the trim. I have completely given up on them providing it. I paid $1300 for this door and wish I would of been provided a better service. Im just going to go out and buy the trim myself because Its obviously not coming from them.

On october 2016 they installed my garage door.But one of the panel was damaged.They said they need to order new one.End of Feb . 2017 No Call. No new door.
