They charge .25 cents extra if you use a card to pay. Cause it cost them that when you use a card to pay. That shouldnt be charged to the customer. I have never been told I would be charged extra for using my bank card before its only .25 cents but why should that be our issue it his choice to use that company for his business

There is a few things that I dont like about Marshs Lumber and Hardware. Marshs do have the same amount of selections just like any other hardware store. Marshs supplier is Do It Best. The main thing that I dont like about Marshs is the store hours. They are just never open for my convenience. Close at 1:00 pm on Saturdays and closed on Sundays is a big inconveniences for me. What kind of a hardware store closes at 1 pm on Saturdays? I think Sandys True Value Hardware and Home Center in Nutter Fort closes at 5 pm on Saturdays and 2 Ace Hardware stores in Harrison County, Shinnston and Salem closes at 7 pm on Saturdays. Sandys and Marshs both are closed on Sundays, only the 2 Ace Hardware stores in Harrison County, Salem and Shinnston are both open on Sundays and both Aces are open till 5 pm on Sundays. And for the small engine repair department, Marshs only repairs lawn and garden equipment thats only sold at Marshs. If you buy a new mower or a chainsaw at Lowes, The Home Depot or anywhere else, they wont service them. Sandys True Value Hardware and Home Center in Nutter Fort, WV and Ace Hardware of Shinnston will service and repair your outdoor power equipment from any place you buy them from. Marshs have great variety of items, and the employees are helpful but their hours are not convenient for me. They are never open when I have the time to stop at Marshs. I cant always revolve around hours of different places when my work ours comes first. Ill have to drive to Marshs on my day off and making special trips is unnecessary. Ace Hardware just opened up Salem this Summer and is close to my home. Ace is more convenient for me. They are open till 7 pm Monday to Saturday and open till 5 pm on Sundays. I will find time to come to Marshs for emergency or ASAP if Ace or True Value doesnt have it in stock.

Good selection of Stihl products. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly.

Marshs is sadly going out of business for good at the end of July 2018. Theyve been very helpful and I will miss their friendly faces and helpful advice.

They have very poor customer service. I have been ordering windows from them for a little while now. They dont call you when your item comes in. I called and asked if my window was in and they told me yes. I drove to their store only to have wasted my time and gas money because the window was not there. I dont remember one person even apologizing or anything. They would not refund the item since it was a special order and would not even offer a discount for their mess up. Please do not shop here.

Recommend them over Lowes and Home Depot any day.
