My mom has been shopping there for years, she has had no problem buying or finding the material and other items she needs. Customer service at the register are always polite and helpful.

One of the last bastions of fabric stores with knowledgeable staff. Went here and found a large selection of not only fabrics, but also sewing patterns, and other craft supplies. However, the highlight was definitely the friendly and knowledgeable staff who not only assisted us with appropriate information. Highly recommend.

JOANN Fabrics Hyde a park is the store that I prefer. They have in stock what their other stores dont.

As a designer this is probably the only fabric store that will have fashion fabrics in Cincinnati anyway. The quality is pretty decent and the deals are always good. They send you hundreds of coupons throughout the year to use for any upcoming project you have. I love Jo-Anns.

The people that work here always do their best to be helpful but this location is consistently understaffed. It is hard to get access to them, as they are busy cutting fabric and ringing people up and stocking trying to keep the store up to par. It would behoove the company to invest in their people and also their customers by properly staffing the store.

1st time being in this store because someone had recommended this store to me. The woman at the cut bar named lauren was very rude and gave the dirtiest looks towards my husband and myself. She also cut the fabric like she didnt care and left it jagged and didnt even give me the amount i asked for. She had us pay even though we werent done looking and she didnt even try to ask if i had coupons i wanted to use. I really think she needs to be re-trained to be around customers because her attitude made our visit in this store horrible.Definitely wont be recommending or coming back to this store.

We didnt realize that this location was only open until 8 pm instead of the 9 pm that every other Joanns in Cincinnati is. Walking in at 7:45 then, we were greeted at the door with, We close soon, that werent accompanied with offers to help us find what we needed, only thinly veiled hostility that we were there when the associates clearly wanted to close up and leave. I get it. I worked retail for years, so I rushed through to find what I needed as quickly as possible. I would have probably spent twice as much money as I did if I didnt feel so pressured to leave in under 5 minutes. We left at 7:53, just as another family was walking in. I shudder to think of what their experience was like.

Its a very good place for buying clothes and wool for doing different types of art and craft. All kind of raw material is available here to buy. It is on the expensive side of the curve but will get all verity of stuff.

I truly hate going to this store. There is always a cloud of overwhelming smells you have to fight through at the door, and honestly Ive only ever once had one positive customer service experience here.

After doing a Google search I was told that this store had something in stock according to its website. When I went to the store after walking around for 10 minutes not being asked by employees if I need help finding anything I asked if they had what I was looking for. The Clerk tell me that they did not have anything in stock the website was wrong and repeatedly three times told me they do not have any I was wrong or mistaken. She didnt have to be so smug kind of makes it hard for a guy to go into a fabric shop when I get treated this way. Customer service is lacking I should know Ive been doing it for 25 years.

I called the Dublin Oh. store to ask about fabric because the other stores didnt have it. They repeatedly kept putting me on hold and told me to hold longer, i guess too busy for the phone customer and waited on others. I am a regular customer at Jo-Ann fabrics and think they should learn how to treat customers, very un happy with the service. Not the first time, some of the employees other times seem to not realize the importance of the customers . I will be looking at other companies to transfer my Business.

The employees are never smiling or happy. The atmosphere in the store is very strange, no music, just blank silence. Since Michaels closed, I have to go to this store unless I want to drive to kenwood.

High prices, small store...not my choice

I continue to shop here because there arent that many fabric shops around for last minute purchases. But if I had my choice, I would avoid this store like the plague. Crappy fabric for the most part - and especially lack of choice in apparel fabric. The staff is clueless (with a few exceptions) and has no idea what they have or what you need. I had a manager tell me once that they didnt sell rib knits. Say what? I finally found them on my own, and when I told him that, he just shrugged and walked away. The biggest issue for me is that they are constantly understaffed on the weekends when most people shop. If I go there to get fabric cut, I know I will usually be waiting in line forever. The other Joann stores in town, like Eastgate and Mason, are much better (and much bigger). I dont know why this one is the red-headed stepchild, but I wish the corporate headquarters would fix the problem.

Friendly service, lots of products in a small store but displayed nicely and orderly! The staff is the friendliest of all the stores around Cincinnati - they should train the Eastgate store employees.

I first went there last week to visit my mother in law. I was walking in Hyde Park Plaza as a shortcut, so I did some window shopping. I saw some clearance items from the fourth of July priced down 70% off. I bought a couple of wooden flowers table decorations for our Secret Sisters at church. The cashier was very helpful. I called them Sunday to see if they have more of those wooden flowers decorations, the cashier said they do, so at first I told her I would pick them up yesterday. I had to call her back to tell her I would get them today. Finally, I went to JoAnn to get them. I decided to give them as gifts at our Ladies Day program at Indian Mound Ave Church of Christ in Norwood in about 3 weeks. I know that theyll love them because when they mix the colors together, guess what? They become our theme color lavender.

Large selection of fabric materials; usual selection of craft supplies. Seasonal items are usually on sale. Staff is pleasant and helpful. In Hyde Park however, I miss Michaels.

Plenty of bargains and craft supplies to be had. I can always find whatever Im looking for. However, the store itself is somewhat crowded and a little downtrodden looking. The bathroom looks like it came out of a third world country, I pray you never have to use it. But they have Wi-Fi, and strange little odds and ends as you make your way to the cashier. I found the clerks somewhat less than friendly or helpful, luckily I knew what I was looking for and where to find it within the store.

This store has everything you may need to create and design custom made projects.

The zipper repair pack was over priced compared to the cost of a new zipper. I love the store in Hyde Park, in spite of the high rate set by the competition or the manufacturer.... Additionally I suggest that a sewing workshop be offered at this store set aside in the front of the store to draw in the youth, there is a market for it...if not, I can keep going to the two locations that provide the option such as Sewingdippity- downtown and Certain public libraries..Crafters United,,....😀😎😀

A small store but I found yarn I wanted and the coupons are a bonus.

Went in here on a Friday which wasnt so busy and went to check out only to find a sign saying to check out at the fabric table. I stood there for a few minutes and noticed there was no clear way of knowing how they were doing things so I asked what was their system on who cuts fabric and who rings out the customers only to get snipped at by one of the associates saying we know whos next. I said Im sorry but the number thing isnt working and everyone is just kinda bunched up in this little area and she just kinda rolled her eyes at me. First I think its kinda crazy to be rung out at the fabric station when anyone can walk out the front door and steal things and not to mention there is literally not enough room to check out customers and cut fabric at the same time. I will never go back to this location. If I need something Ill go next door to Michaels

The girls wanted to get some stuff to make easter baskets, and joanns always has a good selection, but the front register was closed and they wanted everyone to pay at the cutting counter, which was busy helping customers, so it took 10 minutes to check out. Not the emploees fault, they were trying to help everybody.

Its been around for a long time, but it was renovated recently enough that its not really musty inside. I only give four starts because the selection feels a little smaller than the huge new stores that are being built these days, but they usually have everything

Definitely on the way smaller side. Went on a Saturday evening and employees were less than helpful... well maybe they would be if I could find them.For fabric this is a great selection. As far as other craft supplies go next door to Michaels. The set up is a little all over the place, and they have basic basics to some high end know what youre doing stuff. But not so much the intermediate hobby what have yous. Lots of starter kits for crafts too, just not much outside of that.

The staff was amazing, and made sure I got the most for my money.

These people. Embarrassingly I left this store crying. I asked an older lady employee for help finding a particular type of fabric. All I could find was a small 8x11” piece of pre-cut genuine suede.I asked if she had anything similar & cheaper that I could buy in a larger quantity. I needed it for a simple art project, no big deal.She immediately cut me off and said “that’s all the leather I have, nothing else...” & flipped her hands up at me, no eye contact. I asked again “so there’s no other similar, faux...”, immediately interrupted again, & accompanied by a nice *eyeroll*. I started to walk away and she said “well we have vinyl somewhere back there” (as she chuckled and pointed to the back of the store-if you’ve never shopped for fabric here like me, you would be overwhelmed!).I put the product back on the shelf and asked AGAIN “you said that was the only leather, that was suede, so you have faux suede?” A nice younger employee responded “actually we have faux-microsuede a few aisles over”.So still sort of lost, but a little more hopeful, I headed to the general area and found a 3rd employee who I knew would be kind and helpful, and I asked her if she knew where faux suede/leather would be.The employee who has been much friendlier than others quickly brushed me off and pointed back to where I came from. I finally gave up and left the store.I’ve visited Joann fabrics before for other art projects and I’ve never had a bad experience, but if I can help it, I will never return to this location again. All I wanted was a little assistance. I would’ve paid $100 to not be made to feel how I did this day.

The sign on the door said it opened it 9:00 a.m. When I returned home, I double-checked and website said it was open at 8:00 am today.In-store staff is apparently much more knowledgeable than your tech staff.

Ive shopped at this particular location for I know 15+ years, and wow has it gone down hill. Which is sad because its in such an upscale neighborhood. The store is drury and dated. Everything is all over the place. The selections are subpar. I can never find an associate to help, and the biggest upset is its a total mess. The unorganized cluster of random things laying around along with bolts hanging off shelves half wrapped just makes me feel vexed. Moving forward Ill just shop the Evendale location.
