I cannot even begin to say how fabulous this shop is!! I called them because my truck started misfiring while I was towing my horse to Kentucky. Being far from home with a horse in the trailer I was in full panic mode. Randy was not only calm and helpful, but he helped me trouble shoot where to go so I wouldnt get stuck with my rig and wouldnt have to unhook the trailer. They had my truck fixed quickly and my horse and I back on the road. While they could have used my moment of desperation to gauge the price, it was actually very reasonable. To cap off this fabulous experience, they even helped me back up the trailer and watched traffic to make sure I could get on the street without issue. Then they called me after I was back on the freeway to make sure the truck was running well. These guys are beyond great mechanics, they are good people.

They plugged my tire after I requested to have it replaced, then the tire was flat again not even 7 days later. I paid for over $800 worth of services and my car still doesnt work because of the very reason I came to this place in the beginning. I spent all my savings, missed 2 days of work, spent hundreds of dollars on ubers, and now I have to come up with another$100 to change out my tire today. All I wanted was someplace I could trust to do the whole job the first time. I wouldnt be so upset if I hadnt specifically requested that the tire be replaced on the phone call before I paid to have my car towed to the shop. I told them I drive 100 miles a day, I told them the tires were old. When I picked up the car I was not told that I would need to service that tire. I wouldve paid whatever the cost to make sure I didnt have to be back within two months. Unfortunately now due to the missed work and ubers and rent being due, I am officially broke with no car. Hopefully my boss will understand.

I am so happy I ran across this auto repair shop when I did. My car had been giving me this message that had me confused and freaking out. It kept cutting off, and I didn’t know what was wrong with it. Fortunately, I called and spoke to Randy. He told me to bring it in for a free diagnosis, I dropped it off. A hour later they told me what was wrong, and I gave them the okay to fix it. 3 hrs later I picked my car up, and the problem was fixed. I would highly recommend them!

As struggling broke college student, it disgusts me to think about the $1600 they charged me for a bad repair. Not only did they fail to fix the problem, but they charged me another $250 for a follow up. Two weeks and $1850 later I will be taking my car elsewhere to get the EXACT SAME problem fixed. They know nothing about cars here. PLEASE don’t make the same mistake I made. Spare yourself the gray hairs, tears, and sleepless nights. Take your car somewhere else.

During a routine oil change with a major auto care business ending in -Stone, I was given a list of mechanical issues related to my automobile and advised these issues should be repaired during my next oil change. I was also given the cost for repairs in a printout sheet. Fast forward to my next oil change with -Stone and while scheduling a date for my oil change/repairs over the phone, I was informed of a completely different price than what I had been originally quoted. In fact, the price was double the amount!!! Given that the mechanics had not yet even examined my automobile, I was immediately suspicious as to why the repair costs doubled, sight unseen. I could even understand if the repair price had increased, based on an actual subsequent examination, but the mechanics had not seen my car and the doubling of the initial price took place over the telephone. I then called University Auto Service for a second opinion and am so glad I did, because one of the repairs I was being charged for by -Stone was not even located on my automobile!!! University Auto Service not only pointed out some of the dependencies related to my -Stone repair bill, but they also charged me less than half of the initial price given by -Stone!!! Most importantly, University Auto Services were able to repair a major leak that -Stone had not even located!!! University Auto Services has impressed me with their ethics and professional delivery of my automobile in a very timely manner. As a woman, I appreciate University Auto Services and their non-condescending approach to car repair explanation while addressing mechanical issues that are timely, efficient, and affordable.

Although they have great customer service, University Auto Parts fully intends to take advantage of students, who do not know any better. The first time I had my car serviced here, a trusted mechanic from my home town (2 hours away) told me that he believed I was charged at least an extra $150. The head man there was extremely courteous and friendly, so I gave University Auto Service the benefit of the doubt. The second time I had my car serviced was because the window wouldnt go up. It turns out the belt between the window motor and the window broke. When I got the estimate it was again $150-$200 more expensive than it should cost anywhere. When I started asking about the price I had to pay for getting the estimate, I was charged labor for taking the door panel off, AND FOR PUTTING IT BACK ON. The head man couldnt look me in the eye when I asked clarifying this with him because we both knew he was ripping me off. When I came in to look at the estimate, I did not tell them that I wasnt interested. Had I not asked any questions and simply agreed for them to fix the window, they would have removed the door panel again (to actually fix it), charging me twice for this labor. Although they have great customer service, University Auto Parts fully intends to take advantage of students, who do not know any better.

My son was notified by a popular auto service chain that his rear brakes were almost down to metal-on-metal. This surprised me as the brakes only have 30,000 miles on them and I would have expected the front brakes to have the most wear and not the rear, unless a caliber was stuck. I was a bit skeptical so I wanted a second opinion from a reliable auto service that had good reviews. I read the positive reviews about University Auto Service and made an appointment for my sons car. Randy was very nice and called me after looking at the car to tell me that the front and rear brakes were just fine. I gave Randy and University Auto Service 5 starts for their honesty and politeness, As I am 1,000 miles from Cincinnati, I really would have no way of visibly seeing if the brakes did or did not need replaced. My son has now been instructed to only use University Auto Service for future repairs and service.

-Additional charges-Installed bad valve stems-New tire blew in a couple months after purchaseIf you need a significant repair DO NOT go here! The owner seems like a very nice guy when on the phone and talking to him on person, but he doesn some shady stuff as a mechanic.First I would like to take the time to give you guys a little background on why I had to go to this place. I blew a tire a day ago and was looking on purchasing 4 new tires because I had winter tires on my car in march and no one had any winter tires in stock (thats fine it was a mild winter). I asked him for a quote on 4 new tires, he gave me a price (~$450) and told me to bring the car on over asap so he can get it done before the weekend. I drove my car over and dropped off my keys. At this point everything was falling into place and running smoothly.I returned to the shop an hour before the shops closing time (5pm on a Friday). I walked into his office and was ready to pay around the quoted price that he told me earlier that day on the phone, which was ~$500 (4 tires at $108 each plus $15/tire for installation). Right before he has you swipe your card you finally find out the total price, which came out to be ~$620. This is because he tacked on a $100 labor charge for grinding my corroded rims down and a mystery $15 fee. I knew my rims were corroding on the outside and had no idea what the insides between the rim and the tire looked like. My visual inspection showed that the outsides werent touched at all. No scratches from a grinder or nothing. So they could have done that job or just made it up because I would never know without taking the tire off again. I paid the bill in hoping that they were telling me the truth.Fast -forwarding 3 months, I have been losing tire pressure in one of the tires. Like 3 psi a day, meaning my tire would always go flat after 3 days of rest. Unfortately I was back home (3 hours away) and had a local mechanic find out that they put in all bad valve stems in my tires. They also didnt grind my rims! Also, the balancing weights were put on incorrectly giving me virbation at higher speeds.Another 2 months have past and I had another tire that blew. i just bought this tire and put maybe 3,000 miles on it with highway driving and drove on roads with barely any potholes.Would not reccomend!
