Pros: Friendly, knowledgeable, took the time to listen.Cons: Only real downside it was a busy day and we didn’t leave until almost 6 pmOn November 16th, I stopped by Jake Sweeney Used Car Superstore at 11521 Princeton Pike, Cincinnati, OH to possibly replace my 2004 Ford Taurus. It was around 1pm. When I arrived Allison Boyd greeted me. Her approach was warm and friendly and didn’t come across as other dealerships I have been too where the sales person acts like a vulture circling its prey. That instantly put me in a hopeful mood. She brought our family in to her desk where I found out she was in training and she introduces us to her trainer Marty Deitsch, He was every bit professional as Allison was. We sat down and she asked valid questions and listened (key word listened) to me on what I was looking for. Based on my needs she had a couple of vehicles in mind. She did say the first car in mind probably wouldn’t be to our liking and it wasn’t however the 2nd car was a 2015 Chevy Cruze 1LT. After the test drive, I noticed 2 chips in the windshield and the radio wasn’t working. Allison and Marty went to the managers and came back with the first offer. This is were the battle began. I countered and included that the windshield and the radio needed fixed. They came back with the next offer which didn’t include the windshield or the radio. Allison and Marty really took care of us and in the end, I now own a 2015 Chevy Cruze.I would recommend any one looking for a used or new car to defiantly keep Jake Sweeney in Cincinnati in mind. Especially if you work with Allison Boyd or Marty Deitsh. Both were warm, welcoming and really listened to our needs and especially to our concerns. The staff was pleasant to be around, and our family felt that we were taken care of with respect and treated as family.

Im leaving 2 stars because Beau was super helpful. My story is long winded so Ill get straight to the point of my 2 star review. The sales manager told me he was not going to do a hard credit inquiry, but did so anyways. I have screenshots of my credit report and Im just crazy enough to post them on here if someone wants to try to post some comment saying this isnt true. Heres the deal, Im a first time car buyer with a small credit history, but a pretty good one. I pay my stuff on time or early and dont have large balances on my few credit cards I do have. My thoughts were to look around town and see what kind of interest rates different dealers are giving out. As a first time car buyer Ive seen quite the range of proposed interest rates, from as low as 4.39 all the way up to crazy rates like 10-12%. The point Im trying to get at here is I just wanted them to do was give me honest numbers for some vehicles in their inventory and maybe a proposed finance rate (with approved credit is the term they used). This I did receive from Beau. Great!, I think to myself, I have some more info to go home and do an informed decision with. I then told Beau of my plans to head home and think things over, which he was totally cool with. I assume part of their sales process is to have a manager talk to you if you are leaving without a car. So I let Beau go and get his sales manager to talk to me. Long story short, guy comes out and was kind of nice, but on some level it seemed condescending to me. Anyways, this guy comes out and starts to give me this spiel about how Im going about the car buying process wrong and people are pulling my credit and I should only be letting them do so if Im ready to make a deal right then and there. Told me my 10 years of student loan history doesnt mean anything to car people; only my smaller credit card history was really relevant. Told me because I signed whatever paper with Beau that he COULD pull my credit, but wasnt going to because he knew that what they had on the lot was not what I wanted. He mentioned that someone like me was going to get around a 8-9% financing rate and I could just google a car loan calculator and figure out the numbers myself. Again, I think he was trying to play the good guy here, but it just all came off as condescending (like I dont know how to buy a car) and in reality the dude did do a hard credit inquiry so he basically lied to my face.Heres the best part of the story for anyone who has read along and followed the saga that was my experience at Jake Sweeney. I went to the Lincoln Dealership the very next morning and purchased a 2012 4Runner (thats a 9 year old vehicle) with a 4.39% interest rate on my loan and I didnt put a dime down. *Mic Dropped*

I would not recommend buying from this dealership. At the very least I would recommend having someone you trust inspect the vehicle you intend to buy. My wife and I purchased our 2018 GMC Yukon here just over a year ago where it had supposedly passed their own inspection. It even had a clean carfax. The only reason they werent able to certify it, we were told, was because it had originally been sold in Canada.Recently, we noticed a small crack in the paint on the rear quarter panel just behind the rear passenger door, so I took the Yukon to several body shops to get an estimate for repair. They all immediately could see that there had been a great deal of damage done to the quarter panel which had then been hastily repaired. The crack, as it turns out, was due to the body filler being layered on too thick in order to cover up the damage. In the end, to have it repaired correctly, the entire quarter panel had to be replaced to the sum of nearly $3K.When I called this dealership to let them know what we were going through with the vehicle, they said there was nothing they could do for us. That they saw the same carfax that we did. However, if the body shops that I took the car to were able to spot the shotty bodywork so quickly, pointing out waves in the panel lines, and runs in the paint work, why wasnt the inspection team at the dealership able to see it? It would have been nice to know that there had been something done to it that wasnt on the vehicle history.What really made me distrust this dealership, though, was when I spoke to the salesman who sold us the car about the estimates we were being quoted for the repairs, he stated that he had a guy that does great work for a fraction of the price. Hmmm...makes you wonder if thats who did the cover up in the first place.

I missed the e mail for the mobile check in, so when I showed up was told I didnt have an appt. Was able to get my oil change anyways.

Nick was the best. I already knew what I wanted I just needed to test drive the car. I had put in a request about 3am Saturday morning had an appointment by 11am Saturday morning was home by 230pm Saturday afternoon. Very efficient. I think financing could be faster, but once I was in the office it went quickly.

They were able to schedule me next day to repair/replace the key fob on my Chevy Equinox. Everyone was courteous, wearing masks, and kept me informed throughout the process and repair.

Another great experience here leasing my new truck. I asked for Rich Blank who was once again awesome. He knew what I was looking for and notified me when several new trucks came in. Do not buy from them. They lied straight to my face. I bought a 2010 Subaru Impreza back in September of 2020. I specifically asked about if it had a head gasket leak because the car I was driving at the time had an oil leak and I didnt need to get rid of that car for another one with a similar problem. I took the car a few months last (less than 1500 miles) to a Subaru Dealership for a recall and thats exactly what they found. I have tried calling the sales rep I worked with and the sales department to find out if there is anything we can do about this but I have yet to get a callback. I found this out on Jan 8th and have been calling ever since. That should show the level of care they have. Once you sign the line and disappear out of view they dont care anymore. This is unacceptable...I would like to add. After the comment from the owner I have reached out again and its been 3 weeks and no contact back. I would think twice before spending money and putting trust into this company... Its now going to cost me over 2 grand to fix this...

We made an appointment with Rodney to look at a used car and he was able to put the keys to the side so that we were able to look at it two days later. (Which was really nice because it couldve possibly been sold before we could get there). Rodney was very helpful and a great person to talk to. We were able to test drive it, as well as let our mechanic check it out. We were also given the car fax and were able to check for any previous wrecks, which it was clean. We decided to purchase the car and they gave us a really good deal on it. The car was in great shape and they cleaned it up for us before taking it home.
