Dont ever mail anything here!!! I printed out a pre paid postage here and the person working there suggested I ship my package there. I even asked if it would be mailed out within four days because it is a poshmark item and on a time limit. The person working said it shouldnt be a problem when really should have said That is not a guarantee or I cant guarantee that. FIVE DAYS LATER i walk in and my package is still sitting in the same spot I dropped it off in. I took it and dropped it off at another mailing office πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

I’m new to the area, and was feeling a bit homesick. My hands were full and I needed help with a chair mat. Lenelle was really helpful and very nice, and even waited on me at the checkout out, answering my questions about the store as well. So, a big thank you for making me not feel so out of sorts, and helping me out.

I would say excellent customer service l went to this store in the morning and l was in a little rush the girl in the counter was so sweet l wish every store have staffs like her she helped me out and was very nice lam sure the managers would be proud of her good job l highly recommend this place lots of stuff and good price

Great customer service. Ashley in the copy center helped me custom envelopes. The system kept freezing on her and she remained calm, friendly, and professional throughout the whole ordeal. Today ordered office equipment and the John very helpful . The cashier was very friendly as well. They all deserve a Christmas bonus. Everyone in that store had a smile and kind words

My rating is solely for the Print & Copy center: Have not had much interaction or dealing with the rest of the store to give a review. With that said, Thomas is the best! He is very helpful and if it werent for him, Id probably be open to printing anywhere else. When the Red Bluff store was open, I prefered to do the nearly hour drive to Chico than print in the Red Bluff store.Business cards are a great deal here besides the very quick turn around time.

I shop often at this store for supplies for the office. It is always a great experience with knowledgeable staff who are so ready to help me find and purchase the products I need. The manager works well with her staff and each visit is more comfortable for me. I save money each visit with one stop shopping as well.

Is it because I come in near closing time that I always get terrible customer service? The first time I came in three employees were standing around talking when I was ready to check out and I was paying over $50 and asked to sign up for the rewards account. The girl told me no because they closed in 9 minutes... Like she had anything better to do than her job?I come back 2 weeks later for some supplies its about 30 minutes before closing and at checkout the girl gives me a weird look when I tell her I dont want to pay $4.99 for 100 count filler paper...then fumbles around looking for a pen to check my $20 bill. It seems odd to me given that I dont think Ive ever had a $20 checked so I asked her if thats normal practice for them. She tells me no but she doesnt want to get a fake and be responsible for it... Oh but not to mean that she thinks shes getting a fake from me. Girl cant lie to save her life. She needed to check my $20 because I didnt want to pay so much for paper or?She then tries to give me the pen that she checked my $20 with. I raise my eyebrow at her then she realizes what shes doing and says oh sorry shes so tired. As Im still standing there she tells me to have a good evening and starts ringing the other lady but hasnt even given me my bag with my stuff that is behind her counter.I walked over to the manager and explained the two situations that I had with these different young ladies and he seemed unconcerned. I returned my purchase and wont be coming back here.Went to a competitor and got more than twice as much product for the same amount that I was going to pay at Staples. In a way this bad customer service was doing me a favor because now I wont ever be price gouged again.

I was given a bag for Christmas from my mom - a very nice insulated bag that could carry my laptop. I went in a few weeks after Christmas, with my original receipt to exchange. I asked the young lady working the front counter that Id like to exchange this bag, but wanted to look around first, and asked what was the best way to handle. She said lets return it and then I could look around. She called the manager over who proceeded to start the return process, again I made it clear that I wanted to do an exchange. Next thing I know she is handing me back the receipt saying account has been credited. I said that was NOT my credit card, but my moms and now how am I supposed to purchase a new bag? She said I should have had a GIFT RECEIPT and not the original if my intention was to exchange. The manager was so rude...the poor little checker looked stunned, and I was speechless. So essentially I was out of an $80 present. It got more interesting when I relayed the situation to my mom, she said she made it very clear when purchasing that this was a gift and asked if her daughter would have any problem exchanging. NEVER did they offer her a gift receipt. All worked out, my mom ended up giving me cash (which you know is a hassle anymore) and I went SOMEWHERE else in Chico and purchased an even better bag. To say the least, I am very disappointed in the customer service at the Chico store and will NOT return. Plus, I will NOT be recommending anyone to shop there. Really, this rating does not even deserve a star.

I bought a messenger bag as a gift for my younger sister. It turned out she had already bought herself one, so less than 24 hours later I went to the store to return it. They ended up needing a manager override to process the return, so the cashier called the store manager over. She happened to be the woman who checked me out the day before when I first purchased the bag and she refused to accept the return. She told me that she did not believe that the bag that I was returning was the same bag that I had bought the day before, despite me having a hard copy of the receipt and the bag still having the original tags still attached to it. I told her I did not understand exactly what she was trying to say and she proceeded to tell me that she would not process the return because she could not return something of such low quality. I can say with absolute certainty that the bag I was trying to return was in fact the original bag I had bought not even 24 hours prior. The bag sat untouched in my car until I had time to return it the next day. I had no time to induce any sort of wear and tear on the bag, and had I caused any sort of damage to the bag I would not have attempted to return it because I do my best to be an honest person. The way I was treated in this store was incredibly disrespectful. I was accused of being a liar and the manager refused to refund me my money. I have been a loyal customer to this store for years, and as of right now I do not plan to return.After calling to file a complaint with corporate about the way I was treated in this store, it was made clear that this is not the norm for Staples as a company, and they worked with me to make sure I would be able to get my refund. Even so, after this experience I will not be returning to this location for my office needs.

I just went in here yesterday to pick up a laser printer that I purchased online. This process was easy, and the price was good, which is the reason for the 1st star. The sales associate offered to wheel it out to my car on a dolly, 2nd star.Now onto why there are only 2 stars...when I picked up the printer, there was a black toner cartridge sitting on top of the printer box, and I asked if that came with the printer or something and he said No, but we recommend getting at least a black toner cartridge because the cartridges that come with the printer are only for calibration. This is not true, the provided black cartridge has a 1,400 page yield, and the color cartridges 700, which will last my family over 6 months. Then I told him Thats alright, Im just going to buy some generic ones online, he replied Are you sure? If you buy aftermarket toner it voids your warranty. This is also not true, the Magnusson Moss Warranty Act of 1975 makes such conditional warranties illegal. Im not sure if he was trying to deceive me or if he was just misinformed, but I told him this was not true, and was, in fact, illegal and he didnt say anything. (I read the Canon warranty later, and confirmed that use of aftermarket toner DOES NOT void the warranty). He then asked if I wanted to buy an extended warranty, I said No, thanks and he quickly replied Are you sure?...man, I felt like he was holding the printer hostage. No, I dont want the extended warranty. I was tempted to just return the printer and go get it somewhere else. I will never understand the logic of the hard sell; you try so hard to make one sale today at the risk of losing sales in the future. In this case, they didnt make the sale, AND they lost my business. I wont be back to the Chico Staples.

Went in to buy a paper shredder and found a clerk on the floor who helped me. We couldnt find the one I really wanted then he remembered that they just got them in stock. He snagged one for me and told me all the benefits and even the downsides. My only complaint, albeit a small one, was that they had shredders in several places instead of just one. It could have just been they were in the middle of building displays or changing things but so much easier when you find the product in one spot. What set their service apart was when he saw I was using a cane to walk he didnt just ring up my purchase but he made sure he carried it out to the car for me so it wouldnt be hard on me. That kind of customer service makes a difference between the successful store and one that is just there to sell product. Friendly, helpful staff

Their delivery system sucks. I ordered my school supplies 2 weeks ago and school starts tomorrow and the stuff still hasnt gotten here and my Backpack too! The only thing I got so far was a box with only 2 composition books in it, nothing else! Every day they re-ship it and is still not here. Its also to hard for them to understand to put the box over the gate like UPS does but the gate has been open for this past week.Im never ordering anything from staples again, the same thing happened to 5 other people I know too. I dont recommend shopping here. This review doesnt even deserve a star.

First, the workers here seem to have not one tech bone in thier body. The workers always are asking for assistance from a manager who seem to not know what is happening either. Just waiting around there are several troubled and confused customers who are just left waiting. This place promised me that my flyers would be done by 10am latest, telling me I was the only order of the day . I told my friend to pick it up but they said they where not ready and they will call us when they are. I come in after work, finding the man in the printing center doing NOTHING. He said there where printed but not cut..... I had to make a scene to get him to start on my flyers. Not a reliable place at all.
