Wow cant believe this place is still open. Purchased couple Proton amplifiers in the mid 90s here and had a great experience and still have the amps. I will definitely try to come out to check the store out and see what goodies they have available.

If you enjoy vintage audio gear or just love the hobby in general you will enjoy visiting this store and meeting Dave. For sure if youre into Quad this is the place to go. This is a real audio store with real gear on display. Its close to Midway airport and I highly recommend visiting.

Made a quick stop by to see if he could do a repair and he jumped on it and we were on our way fully functional again. Cant say everything would be that quick, but I was very impressed. Thank you. 5 star service definitely.

Dave is a stand-up guy. Had a problem with an expensive sansui quad I bought from them. He fixed the unit and sent it back on his dime. It was costly to ship. Great place for analog and digital equipment.

Dave and Larry are two cool audio enthusiast. The shop is smallish but smart. The shelves are filled with old and new gear with exceptional prices for a brick and mortar establishment. Ive been there a couple times and always felt welcome and left gaining new information about what we love, gear. I recently replaced my turntable that I had for years with a Teac one that Dave recommended to me. I checked online reviews of this product and it confirmed what Dave had said. It had received solid 5 star reviews.I decided to buy the turntable from Chicago Audio, rather than online, because I believe it is important to hear the product, if possible. Dave played an LP for me on the Teac turntable and it sounded superb. He even set the turntable up for me which included balancing the tone arm with a measuring device I didnt have. He recommended purchasing better connection cables for the turntable and my receiver than the ones which were included for a nonimal amount.I am a very satisfied customer and my vinyl never sounded better. I have a Sansui 8080 that I bought new (43 yrs ago )and decided to have it restored after all these years. I spent hours and hours of research. I then decided to pull the trigger and and went with Chicago Audio so I called and spoke with Dave and then made the 2 hr drive to his shop. After speaking with him I felt much better about my choice as his knowledge on stereo equipment is superior. After I picked up my 8080 along with its new case and placed it in its new location ( the living room ) I forgot how good music should sound again! The polks were singing once again. Bottom Line Dave did a great job on the total recap on this Sansui and I would highly recommend him to all my friends and neighbors!Thx again DaveRick in Milwaukee
