We didnt even mean to come here. Just happened to be standing near it looking for a dessert place. Couldnt be happier. Its a very unassuming place, attached to Parlor. Almost a speakeasy vibe. The dessert options are written on a large menu inside. Every item was like 10x more interesting than I would have expected. Very creative ideas and the execution was perfect. Delicious!

Service was fast at the Open Table (where you sit if you dine in), desserts were tasty. We had the Go Shorty and a BYOT (build your own taco) on chocolate, w/ chocolate gelato, M&M‘s, and whipped cream. I’m not big on gelato, esp the soft serve choc/vanilla swirl cone my wife got. Weird taste. But if you like gelato, it’s great! Snicker doodle cookie was bomb.

Finding the place on Google was easy, however, I was extremely confused when I got there. In order to order dessert you have to go inside the Pizza Parlor and just order dessert when you get seated. They are most famous for their tacolato. It’s a nice play of words, I have always loved the choco tacos I would purchase from Publix. However, this was pretty okay, it was good but not spectacular. My sister ended up getting the cookie and it tasted like a cookie brownie but she liked it as well. It’s a great place to have dessert!

Ok so this is a ramped up version of the classic chocotaco for those who have tried the frozen treat but the dessert dealer serves it up in manner that leaves you craving more. This is a more sophisticated and classy version. The layers of flavor compliment one another and the waffle shell is the glue that holds everything perfectly together. I seriously cant wait to go back to try the other flavors. We spent about $22 for two Florida Georgia Lime (key lime) inspired treats and YES, I ate every single bite and every little jelly bean too. You can try to keep it cute when enjoying this taco, but things can get a little messy. 😋

Dessert Tacos dealt right 🌮 Loved the option to build your own taco. Theres a lot of toppings to choose from and you get to customize the shell which is nice. There isnt a lot of seating spot besides two stools so prepare yourself for a take-out. They might me hard to notice from busy traffic so look for the bustling Pizza place on the corner.

This low-key dessert space in the West Loop has got what you need. It’s astutely named the “dessert dealer” since, like a bar, it’s dimly lit and in a rather inconspicuous space. Dining space was a bit limited, and the seating is literally three stools to your right as you enter. I was curious I could be seated in the bar area but didn’t ask.I enjoyed the Cookie Monster ice cream taco - affectionately called a tacolato. They use good ice cream and real oreo cookies here, and didn’t shy away from the maraschino cherries. Prices were a bit more humble than BomboBar and well worth it.

Found the small little walk in on Google thanks to the delicious looking pics. We loved the opportunity to create our own tacolato! It took about 15 minutes to make both which was odd but we got them to go and walked around Randolph St. They were generously filled and topped! Yes the price is higher than a typical ice cream but it left us full and in a sugar coma!

When we travel we’re always in search of a BANGING dessert spot. In our search for one in Chicago we came across the newly founded dessert dealers. We love tacos and we love ice cream so to find a combination of the two felt like heaven. We ordered a create your own with cookies and cream, Oreos, here bar and a sprinkle taco and we also got the Unicorn taco. Every bite felt like a little piece of heaven. They are really onto something. A part of the parlor pizzeria but unfortunately we didn’t get to try the pizza. Hopefully when we return.

We ventured out to look for dessert to satisfy my sweet tooth, and I am so happy I found this recommendation on Google. If you have a little trouble finding it , Dessert dealer is located within parlor and def worth a visit. We built our own taco dessert and it was decadent: Double chocolate shell, peanut butter ice cream, Nutella sauce, ferrerro rocher, rolo, and cheesecake bites.

Dessert tacos?Sure! It was the closest dessert place, and it was GOOD! We ordered the Go Shorty, and were impressed by the fresh made waffle taco shell, flavorful gelato, and the carefully decorated yummy toppings. Cant wait to come back for the other ones!Tip: it is technically the take out part of The Parlor. There are only 4 seats to eat in, street parking might be difficult on weekends.Update: the mint one is VERY minty, and the hazelnut one is drizzled with Nutella and crushed Ferrero Roche. Both are AWESOME!

This gem in the West Loop it’s located in a pizza restaurant. This place is always packed at night so be prepared for a crowded bar scene. We decided to get something different than the dessert tacos, and we decided on the fried gelato. It sounds bad for you and it is, but it’s worth that risk to your health. The caramel gelato works well with the crunch from the fried Cinnamon Toast Crunch crust. It is topped with whipped cream and strawberries. It’s a pretty big dessert, definitely meant for more than one person to share. Definitely recommend this to try!

Very excellent ice cream tacos. The concept is great. But it’s very difficult to eat. The pick up counter doesn’t have much sit down space. When getting it to go they give it in a very small plastic box. Requires a knife and fork and is very difficult to eat in the area without seating. Ultimately it should be eaten inside Parlour Pizza or have a separate sit down area. Please follow my foodie adventures @doctoreeat

Ive been waiting almost a month to visit this place. Been salivating over every IG and Twitter post. When I finally got my dessert taco, I was in heaven! It was a the best damn dessert I have ever had.

Service was awful. They couldn’t be bothered. You pay extra for the attitude. Also there is not enough ice cream to the waffle cone. It’s like 2 tablespoons not 2 scoops. Came in to order and after ignoring us for 5 minutes they said Can I help you? Then we ordered and they said wait outside (in the cold) we will call you. Some people got orders before us so I came in to follow up. And they were like, Can I help you? - like didn’t recognize us at all. Never ever going back. Also 3 orders= $30 for ice cream. Be worth it if it was good, even with the attitude, but it’s lousy. I couldn’t eat it. Only looks good on IG, but don’t believe the hype.

Honestly, my husband and I didn’t understand the hype. I was super excited to try it but right off the bat, the service sucked. The staff there didn’t acknowledge us and seemed annoyed that we disturbed their conversation. The taco itself was veryyy average. The shell itself was stale, and the entire thing breaks apart too easily. Especially considering the price, Choco-Tacos taste better. I will say they do make for a great photo

The staff were really nice. It looks really cool but it’s basically like a coldstone creamery, except their waffle cones are shaped like a taco. It’s honestly WAY too expensive for the simplicity. Also hard to find. It’s apart of Pizza Parlor, on the back side. The door for it is under a black tent area with a door and a neon red sign in the window saying “taco”.

The perfect dessert does exist. You just have to be creative. Turn a simple gelato with waffle cone into a piece of art, and youre a winner.- Cherry Cheesecake TACOlato: cherry cheesecake gelato topped with whipped cream, in a taco-like waffle cone dipped in white chocolate. And then sour cherry sauce with sour sugary heart shaped sprinkles to finish. A prefect sweet and sour treat.- Cookie Monster TACOlato: vanilla gelato topped with whipped cream, in a taco-like cocoa waffle cone dipped in chocolate. Topped with Oreos and some cherries. Perfect semi-sweet treat.

Sugar. Coma. Super good. Its attached to a pizza/beer garden/patio joint thats huge but very busy. Inside the actual dessert place theres only a counter, tiny bar and 3 stools. The list of options is vast and their food has a lot of flavor. We had a cookies and cream ice cream taco and a peanut butter bomb. The peanut butter bomb has a ton of rich pb flavor and that candy shell did not disappoint. The taco was crunchy but not hard.the toppings were fresh and the gelato was wonderful.Oh and parking SUCKS. Like most of the city.
