Have come here twice in the past year. I had Armando sounds install my head unit and rear camera about a year ago and haven’t had an issue. Flawless install. Very professional and decent turn around time (few hours). Returned about a year later to have a sub installed and absolutely love it. The owner recommended a sub based on my description of what I wanted. I’m very particular about who touches my car but felt very safe with this place as the owners are very nice. Went for a simple radio take out, and the Guys there helped me better than the retail stores, actually got a 1989 Lincoln, sounding like it was playing Vinyl records… Cost was way better than expected!!! I’m very happy with just checking them out and getting the Best deal ever… so Happy I’m returning to them with another customer.

Staff and owner was nice however DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAN-AM SPYDER there. About a year ago, I took my Spyder there to have LED lights installed. The tech connected the lights to my main fuse box. This is a No, No! They also, used a fuse that was to big for the circuit(7amp). Therefore instead of the fuse blowing, it burned and if i did not notice the smell, It would have burned my entire fuse box. I just had to remove and replace over $250 worth of LED lights and have them wired correctly.

I took my 2003 Honda civic in and they completed the work on time and were professional. after my car battery dies a few days late (all my fault lol) they even guided me on how to re-program my remotes myself. i am definitely going back to finish the re-programming and to install my sub woofers. thanks, guys!!!

COVID-19 has not hindered the quality of work these guys produce. Unfortunately if you are going to wait for your vehicle you will have to find an alternative place to wait. Luckily there are coffee shops and local restaurants that will gladly accommodate you.

They installed a Fortin Evo All with Mycarlink/Linkr Lt2 and everything works. they have a flashlink updater if you want to save more money. allegedly the transponder bypass module fortin sent me was no bueno.. so an additional $60 was added to the bill. cellphone remote start w/gps for $30/yr you cant beat that.

Ive been coming to this place for years. They have done window tints on all of my cars that I have owned and they do an amazing job. They have also installed a dash cam and headlights for me. Very honest and hard-working people and that is hard to find these days.

They give great customer service. I came in not fully understanding how remote starts worked. After 30 mins with the staff and going home performing some research of my own. Everything they said was spot on. This helped me to make an informed decision as to what I need and what I want. If I ever want to get another remote start installed these guys have my business hands down.

TL;DR - AMAZING service, fast, cheap, and friendly!!! Definitely would recommend to anyone looking to get new sound equipment installed!I was having a very hard time installing an aftermarket stereo in my hand-me-down 2008 Jeep Patriot and of course, Jeep makes it nearly impossible for an inexperienced person to do (go Honda!!!).I called on Tuesday and they said they could get me in same day, but I had to work. We scheduled for the next day and he said it would take about 45 minutes.45 minutes later, I drove off with a functional stereo and they only charged $45 since I did most of the wiring myself already. They had to wire into the cigarette lighter to get the ignition ground to work (I think, Im not well versed)

Great shop! The owner, Mo, is very friendly and super knowledgeable. They stand behind their work and they have amazing customer service. They took care of a small issue I was having with a remote starter 3 years after they installed it and didnt charge my anything! Their work is quality and they use quality equipment. They took care of my sister in law when I took her there for her remote start. Good costumer service and fair price. Also not a long wait like other places to get the job done. Best Buy said she would need to Wait a month to get her car scene and cost more for the same service.

I’ve used Armando Sounds to upgrade/replace my sound system or add an alarm on every car I owned since the late 90’s!They do amazing work, use monster or heavy gauge cables, dedicated fuse, invisible wiring through and through and unbelievable custom work! I had a remote start installed in my Volkswagen. They were very friendly and accommodating. I didnt understand how some of the features worked so they told me to come back and showed me how to use it. They have great customer service and are very patient when it comes to explaining things.

Amazing group of guys. As I walked inside the store regarding my transponder key issue, the gentleman was very welcoming and took time to figure out the problem. Quickly he figured out that the car key needed a reprogramming and referred me to north side keys in western and Addison, as they didn’t do that kind of specific task there. As soon as I arrived to the other place, the guy took care of me as Armando sounds did. Fast and efficient service. It’s a small matter but It showed how sincere these guys are about their customers.

These guys are awesome. I have been having some trouble with some aftermarket headlights and these guys are happy to help. I got LEDs installed by them about 3 months ago for my Mercedes and they look amazing. I chose them because they have such an incredibly high rating and there is a reason they have nearly 5 stars. Look up few places. I wanted 3m tint they gave me the best prices. When i walk in i saw this place was the real thing. I even got my sceen put in. All the people there are stand up guys. No bs. These guys have some serious integrity. I bought a used car that I didnt know had an alarm. Of course I received no remote for it. When the alarm decided to turn on after several weeks, these guys sat with me on the phone and helped me get the alarm disabled. Who does that? I cant thank them enough. Ill be giving them all my business moving forward as I want to upgrade my stereo and eventually get that remote for the alarm.

They over charge for amplifier installations. On top of that they completely rip you off. An average 1000W amp thats typically $80 to $150 costs $250 there.

I have purchased two basic JVC AM/FM CD players with installation here. The salesman didnt try to talk me into a fancier system than I needed. The work was done as promised, when promised, and it sounds great. Prices are pretty reasonable. I paid the same amount last week as I paid six years ago and even got an upgrade with Bluetooth.

Ive been using them for the last 10 years or so. Theyve always been professional and a pleasure to deal with. These guys are great! I had a remote start installed somewhere else that stopped working. I had taken it to a few other places who couldnt figure out how to fix it so I figured it was a lost cause. After a couple days of extremely cold weather I figured Id give it another try to fix the remote start. Within a few minutes they had fixed the problem! I highly recommend Armando Sound on Lawrence!

These guys DO EXCELLENT WORK and customer service is old world SPECTACULAR. I bought a Kenwood Touchscreen Radio with GPS , Sirius and backup Camera four years ago, and a Viper Alarm because we all know the thieves in the neighborhood LOVE CAMRY tires and other parts. Got a great deal for combining the alarm with Radio installation. Two brothers run the place and the could NOT BE NICER. In the 4 years since purchase, everytime there is an update to the radio firmware that makes my Sirius sputter, I just stop in, no appointment, no cost and BAM! UPDATE DONE in 15 minutes or less. The past couple weeks, the Sirius service was so bad, couldnt get a signal to save my life, went in told them what was going on. They took the car into the back and put a new antenna on and didnt charge me!!! Who does this??? No one! Im thinking of getting a new radio with more Bells and whistles these guys will have my business for as long as they are open. I will never purchase any aftermarket items for my vehicle, anywhere else. Thank you!!

My experience was fast service with good customer service. They installed a bllast with hid bulbs in and out fast they had led lights that I should come back for. Was watching them replacing my parts and seemed they were professionals ar this and the price was cheaper than the others I shopped around for.

Went in to talk to someone about sounds. I was given the truth of what I needed to get that premium sound. The conversation was a great and I learned a few things. The only thing that confused me was that he said, my aftermarket speakers were a downgrade from my factory soeakers. I didnt know kickers were a downgrade from the stock Alpine soeakers.

About a week ago, I decided that I wanted to get a new module and radio unit for my 2006 H3 Hummer. After looking at local options here in McHenry county, I really wasn’t happy with what I was seeing and it was taking especially long to have an install scheduled. I mean, we were talking about 2 1/2 to 3 weeks out. That even includes places such as Best Buy or ABT. Growing up on the northwest side of Chicago near Lawrence and Elston for almost 30 years, I decided that it was time to go back to my roots and find something that was going to be able to satisfy my needs and on the same day if need be. Hands-down, if you want a car detail, you do it in Chicago, if you want a radio installed, you do it in Chicago. About 20 years ago, a lot of people from Chicago started migrating to McHenry county and that’s good and all but, the best of the best in my opinion has always been in Chicago.So, I called these guys up because the ratings seemed to be legitimate as well as the people leaving the reviews. I mean, it wasn’t somebody just making up a fake Google account to jack up the rating. This past Saturday, I called and spoke to Mohammed. I told him that I would be coming about an hour and a half down from McHenry county and I was looking for a new module along with head unit for my vehicle. I made the drive, spoke to Mohammed and the first thing he told me was, if you just need a new module, why do you want to get a radio unit? I thought, this guy wasn’t out to get my money, he was out to be honest with me and if I wanted something, he would let me make that decision. No pressure whatsoever. After we determined that yes, I needed a new module, I decided that I wanted to get a new unit as well. I decided to go with a Kenwood unit and I also needed something that was going to work with my Sirius XM. Instead of breaking the bank, Mohammed gave me an offer I couldn’t refuse. I mean, he really took care of me and did it all the same day as well. By the way, he did it quicker than any of the major installation chains in the country.How quick?? One hour! From the time I walked in to the time I walked out, the whole process was about three hours because it did take time for him to finish somebody else’s vehicle, look at mine, install the module and then further install the radio unit.During the process, I even went across the street and got a haircut. It was a win-win for me on Saturday and it was worth the hour and a half trip one way to get it done. I hope this review helps you decide that these are the people you want to entrust working on your vehicle. I understand that not every day he’ll be able to get to you in about an hour, but the fact that he was able to juggle multiple vehicles and do it right, that’s top notch customer service at its best!The only issue I had was the wire was not hiding above the headliner and that’s something that took me about one minute to fix when I got home. I’ll definitely be coming back to these guys in the future.As of November 18, 2020, I called to get a price on a radio unit with Bluetooth. I was quoted almost $900. This is for a 2003 Acura MDX. Not sure if it’s new owners or the price of technology went up 200 hundred percent. Dropped my rating down two stars.
