I would highly recommend this place. I got a flat tire while I was at work. They patched my tire for me and it was done by the time I got out of work. They saved me the hassle of changing the tire and looking for a place to replace my tire. I greatly appreciate their service and willingness to help. Thank you!

Very professional from the start. Claudia and Sofia were at the front desk and Dany, the mechanic, explained the work done in a professional manner that was understood. Brought in my 2015 ford fiesta to fix an annoying clicking sound coming from the dash. Explained the issue. Got a quote for $425 to replace a part and agreed to pay. Came to pick up the car and was informed it was still making the noise, we needed to replace a different part. I would still have to pay for the part they replaced that wasnt broken! So now Im out all that money for absolutely nothing. This should be criminal. Go somewhere else. Or get in writing exactly what they are going to fix fix dashboard sound vs fix XX part. Ridiculous.

BE WARNED!!!I had a flat tire last week and I work down the street from VMB clinic. I dropped it off in the morning and asked them to plug the tire. They called me stating the puncture was too close to the side wall and I would have to replace the tire for $291. I got them down to $235 out the door. My Fiancé knows a ton about cars and told me to ask for my tire back, and a picture of where the puncture was. They sent me a picture of the side wall- couldnt really see anything except the yellow markings they made to indicate where the hole was- but I gave consent to change the tire per the information they gave. When I got home my Fiancé inspected the tire and sure enough there was a rusty nail head dead center of the tire, no where near the side wall! Of course when we confronted them they denied it and wouldnt let us return the tire we bought. SO UNACCEPTABLE!!! As a woman I know this happens more than it should and I am at their mercy to be honest. I WILL NEVER USE THIS PLACE AGAIN- AND I RECOMMEND YOU DONT EITHER.

Before visiting VMB, my husband & I had went to a place where the guy told us, “Good luck finding a mechanic willing to work on an old car.” He told us VMB might be able to help with fixing our door lock but it turned out that they worked on & successfully completed everything we needed addressed on our ‘68 Mustang. Dealing with a restored classic car, we knew we’d have minor things we’d have to take care of every now & then & we now have full confidence that Pepe & everyone at VMB will be able to properly diagnose & correct any issue we may have with our new baby. Claudia, at the front desk, is an honorable mention because she made sure to let us know everything that was happening & accurately describe to us all that the mechanics needed to let us know about the car, over the phone. Everyone who owns a classic car or really just any car that needs fixing, your time will not go wasted, visiting VMB. They are professional, honest, & definitely affordable. Called multiple shops before VMB that all said my car (76 280z) was too old for them to work on. VMB said it wouldnt be a problem and gave me a quote over the phone to have my fuel tank cleaned. They also did some additional work I asked for once I was there in person. Same day turnaround and friendly staff.

I brought my car in because the engine lightwas on and I thought it may be that I needed an oil change. I also thought I needed new brakes because my brakes were making a crunching sound. I brought my car to VMB and they were great because they said my oil looked clean and then I recalled I just had an oil change about 2 months ago. I am so glad that they were honest and did not try to charge me for an oil change for no reason. They said the last time I had the oil changed, the other service shop I brought it to, must have just forgotten to reset the light. They also said my brakes still looked good and that they clean them off and that I did not need brakes yet. I am so relieved that this wasnt an expensive repair and also that I can trust them!

I came in looking to have some routine maintenance done on my SUV. Oil change, filters, tire balance and rotation, alignment and plug a leak. They were very upfront with cost and time of the job, super accommodating, and were very clean. They even threw in a super nice beanie when I went to pick up my vehicle. I will most definitely be coming back here for any of my automotive needs. The folks are awesome, from the front desk attendant to the mechanics/other employees.

I had a diagnostic test and a power steering pump vvt cylanoid a serpentine belt and ignition coil installed but I’m still seeing check engine light on and I’m having it checked out as I need to have other issues such as lower control arms and ball joint looked at as the truck swerved to right when at a high speed

An unexpectedly wonderful experience! I brought my truck here because it was making a knocking noise over the many bumps/potholes in Chicago. Previous shop that worked on it couldn’t find the cause after several attempts, then tried to play it off as being caused by the skid plate. I’m no mechanic but even I knew that wasn’t the cause. Was referred to VMB by a friend and they figured it out (cheap sway bar links that the previous shop installed) and the annoying noise is no more! Super friendly staff too! Highly recommend.

They said a part wasnt working and was charging 580 when it was only a loose screw on the windshield wash motor how sad that you cant trust mechanics

I will never return!! I took my vehicle in for a power steering issues, the tech couldnt get the car in the shop cause he yanked the steering and broke something. They claimed they fixed it...nope! Had to take it back cause they put a used part in they knew could malfunction, claimed they fixed it...nope took it back again all this free labor and charge as it should be as they messed up 3 darn times. Service people were rude didnt want to take responsibility for nothing. Manager came in between all that offered nothing a free oil change. My alternator broke in between going to get the last repair so i had to get it towed there,they quoted us one price and said no labor. Sent my father in law to get it bam 140 for labor. I am soooo disappointed in the service all away around. Just fed lies especially by the service men they dont seem to know who the manager is

They not treating you with respect. They give you a specific time, then, they just forget about you. They not even bother to call you or text you to let you know if your car is getting inspected or not. I got there around 10:30 and told them what what’s happening with my car, then they told me leave it at the parking lot next door and as soon as we got time we will take a look. Because I live far away from there, I ask them how long will take for my car to be inspected so I could go home and wait there for them to “call me or text me”...wrong!! They not even bother. I came back around 3pm after FOUR hours for nothing..in fact, they make me wait half hour more!!! Unprofessional!!

Gilmar was very helpful when we were inquiring about getting brakes done on our RV. We didnt end up using this shop for the repair (due to limited parts availability), but we appreciate the help and support that they provided.

Gilmar really helped me out as well the whole team at VMB☺️ I needed my lower radiator hose replaced as well as my filler valves. Gilmar was Awesome!! This isn’t the first time that they have worked on my vehicle and they do Exemplary Service. They have customer for LIFE! Claudia is also the Bomb! I missed her while she was out,but Gilmar handled himself with so must professionalism and I truly Appreciated that!

I recently took my 2011 Nissan Sentra to have it checked out (check engine light was on) they squeezed me in the same day I called. They found the problem it was an easy fix the light cleared that same day and it passed the emissions test as well! I definitely would recommend them!

Fair, honest, friendly, and prompt. What else could you ask for in a mechanic? A neighbor recommended them when I lived in the neighborhood, I still make a point to come here for even routine maintenance despite having moved a bit further away. Highly recommended!

Reuben is truly a gem. He takes fantastic care of both of our cars with over 200K miles each. He tells you straight what you need without overselling you things you do not need. I had one car at a dealership last year to deal with an air bag recall and they gave me a laundry list of $3K of items that needed to be fixed, almost the Blue Book value of the car. I brought the list to Reuben, who told me what was really needed and what could wait, and about $500 later, the car was ready to go and has been running smoothly ever since. The front desk is a mess and the waiting area is not comfy, so take your car there when you can drop it off and pick it up later.

These guys are honest and trustworthy. Ive taken my car there several times over the last few years and been happy with the price and quality of work every time.

Owner is honest and trustworthy. Very hard to find someone in the industry like that. I once went to him as my vehicle did not pass the emissions text. He told me the problem and that it would be at least $1500 in work with most of the cost in labor. He recommend I check with the dealership as it may be under the extended warranty. It did end up being covered and I didnt pay a dime. Who does that??? I trust him 100%. I live over 30 miles away and still travel out to have him work on my car.

There is no way I can praise this place enough!I have been in a two year battle with my car to cure whatever keeps throwing a code every few months. Between the work I have done myself & the work I have had done at other shops, it feels like I have replaced half of all the removable parts on this thing. So, I came in to California Auto with a fairly clear idea of what needed to be done at this point. Instead of dismissing my request as that of an ignorant car owner, they listened & after gathering more information agreed to do the repair at a more than reasonable price without trying to sell my a bunch of additional repairs that I really did not need.On top of that, because they knew I was trying to get my car to pass emissions (and because they suspected it would pass even before my requested repair), they drove it over and had the test done for me! Honestly, I never even considered that they would go out of their way like that for me. It was a really kind gesture.I highly suggest coming here if you are looking for an honest mechanic who actually cares about his customers.
