Brought my car to MPC for the first time for some routine maintenance after reading all the reviews, and they did not disappoint. They kept me updated on the progress throughout the day, and finished the job in a timely manner. I saw good reviews about them and brought my car to get fixed. I did have a minor hiccup with them as they put in the wrong brake fluid in my car which they have admitted to and now I have to spend extra money to get brake hoses replaced because of their negligence. My brakes seem to be worse than I brought them in for.

Not only do you get a photo update and report with pictures taken throughout they really know their cars. Midwest performance brought my f56 mini cooper s back to life. It felt super sluggish for months, kept having a drive train malfunction, and my battery was hanging on by a thread. They were able to help me out within a day. Definitely coming back for any other of my needs. Communication was top notch. Its pretty cool to see updates of your vehicle throughout the day through their app/website they link you to. Overall Im satisfied. Honestly, Driving has never felt better.

Ive been going to Midwest Performance for about 3 years. I have an modest 2006 car and they treat me the same as they treat the people that come in with a new Porsche. They are friendly and professional. They will usually find something additional my car needs, but my car is old and most likely needs it. I do not believe that they try to sell me anything I do not need. They provide photo proof with any of their recommendations. They will gladly speak to you and explain any services that you have questions about.The communication options are great. They have a texting system that will give you updates and let you review their suggestions and approve or decline services immediately. They are always available by phone too, if that is your preferred method of communication.This is my go to place for service. My car runs noticeably better every time I leave their shop.

I was upgrading my brake rotors and pads on my VW GTI and Tire Rack recommended this service location. From the moment I asked for a quote for the service, I was impressed with the prompt responses, professionalism and high quality of every step of the process. They kept me informed throughout the day and delivered a quality result in the day. Ill be back!

The great reviews definitely got me this time. The communication was great but this shop clearly tries to take advantage of an “opportunities”. I took my car in for a general maintenance inspection and oil change only to have them falsely diagnosis several thingsFirst thing was the engine mounts, I explained my car had a noticeably different vibration at idle, they confirmed and diagnosed a failed passenger side mount and extreme engine movement. I got the 034 motorsports mounts put on at APM Tuned, but there was no issues with my current mounts. They were still in great condition, but I had them replaced anyway since the work was already being paid for.Next thing was my brakes. I recently had my rear brakes changed, not even a month old, and when they gave me my measurements they said 2m in front and 5m in rear. I took my car to Audi Westmont the same week and had them do a free multi-point inspection with fronts measuring 5 and rear at 9. (I have copies of both inspections and the dates they were performed, not even 7 days apart.)At this point, all credibility is out the window for me, but the next thing they recommended replacing is my PCV valve because of increased oil consumption. These are all labor intensive jobs so there should be some type of validity there. I check oil levels immediately after my oil change and it was only filled up 3/4!!! I have a tuned engine so it will consume oil quicker than a stock engine, but this is immediately after leaving the shop!! I topped it off about a month ago and it literally hasn’t moved or consumed more oil than normal and I’ve been driving it extremely hard the last couple weeks.I honestly thought I found an honest shop that had a great deal of experience with German cars, but I guess I gave them the impression that I didn’t know about cars, particularly my car, and they saw an “opportunity”. Such a shame.BTW, about $350 for oil change and inspection and about $7,500 in recommended repairs.UPDATE: I never mentioned anything about brake replacement, just the pad measurements you guys provided and for the rear in particular since they were brand new. The engine mounts were recommended to be changed right now (listed in red), but when I changed them, the mounts were in perfect condition and that was a $2000 repair you guys recommended ASAP (done for $900 at APM, for no reason!!)

These guys are probably the best mechanics in Chicago. They are great, they are not cheap. But in the long run it’s cheaper to get it done right the first time.

The most outstanding shop I’ve ever been to. They word so hard and diligently to get your car back to you as soon as possible. And will call to give you updates with out you having to even request them. They are super respectful and professional and care about every car that comes into the shops. They want to help make your car exactly how you want it. They have treated me and my RS3 with so much love. Give them a look you won’t be disappointed by any work they do for you! They literally can make anything happen!

As a first time customer didnt know what to expect. Although I knew what work I wanted done they did a courtesy multi point inspection. All work was done professionally and fast. When I dropped the car off a courtesy Uber took me to the train home. When the car was ready again a Uber picked me up. All and all a good experience. Oh, and Aimee is the best! Will be attending the upcoming open house.

I cannot say enough great things about MPC. I am new to Chicago so I went to the dealer to get a CE light diagnosed because I didnt know where else to go. I was quoted a prices of over $3,600 for the repairs. A coworker suggested another garage who I called and they told me that they would not be able to service my type of car but that they would go to MPC if they were in my situation. I went to MPC and they found that I had two separate issues, not the one the dealer wanted to repair. They fixed both problems for less than 1/4 what the dealer wanted to fix the wrong thing and my car Audi A8 is running great. They are very friendly and professional. Completely transparent through the entire process, email updates on the repair process with pictures of the problems. They are my go to place in Chicago for any of my car repair needs from now on. Highly recommend them.

Ive taken my 2008 Porsche Boxster S to Midwest Performance Cars a few times. Everything from oil changes, brakes, suspension and more. They do solid work, are very good about communication and updates, and clean the car when its done. If there are any issues, they have integrity and make it right. I highly recommend this shop and wouldnt consider bringing my Porsche anywhere else in Chicago.

It was time to do upgrades on my 2012 Porsche 997.2, so after some research I decided to go with Fabspeed upgrades on my exhaust system with new side mufflers and a X Pipe eliminating the center muffler, I also went with the carbon fiber cold air intake! So now came the part that is always a little tedious and to be honest a little intimidating, finding a good mechanic that is honest, reasonable and treats your vehicle like its their own! Midwest Performance hit all the marks !!!! This is a well run shop that is clean, accommodating, and have great people taking care of this business! The techs and the service reps are the backbone of this company and you get that vibe as soon as you begin to deal with this shop!!!! I take care of my Porsche for the simple facts that I love the car and I busted my rear end for years to be able to own it and its awesome to drive it! To find a shop that respects that , well enough said! A great find! Kudos to the owner of this shop for keeping it up and running, your customers rely on this shop!

It’s (James Gonzales). My Porsche 911 convertible top failed and numerous shops and a Porsche Dealership could not fix it. The Porsche dealer related that whole unit would have to be removed and an entire new apparatus would installed (at considerable expense). Midwest Performance took on the challenge and the top is now repaired and functioning perfectly!! Excellent service, communication, and skilled expertise. Highly Recommended!!

These guys are honest and their communication is clear and reliable. I feel like I usually have a good idea about what the next step is and how long it’s going to take. If things change they text right away and send an email with details. They don’t leave me hanging, wondering what’s going on, like other shops have.

Communication and advice were great. Workmanship was great, too, and the price was exactly what I expected. The true shining point in my opinion was the degree to which it was a team environment. They included us in the decisions, gave us information and detailed advice (including pictures explaining the pros and cons on the various decisions). We have a 2003 Subaru Outback, and their advice was absolutely in line with the value/age/purpose of the vehicle. And, to boot, they seemed genuinely interested in the job/car itself. Fabulous experience overall! I pulled up to have oil changed and was very nicely informed that I needed to make an appointment. They made it easy and quick to do so on the spot. A few weeks later, I showed up for the appointment and was offered a free Uber to work. I received detailed updates about my car including pricing during the day and was notified as soon as it was ready to pick up. Gotta love the free car wash, too.

I live out of town and used these guys to do an independent pre-purchase inspection for a car I was interested in to make sure there were no hidden issues before I made the trip.Chris and the team were very friendly and quick to schedule the appointment. They charge a reasonable price and the inspection report was very thorough. Chris even spent an hour on the phone with me going through all of the issues and explaining what certain things mean and giving me rough estimates on what certain things would cost to replace. It was a great help in the negotiation phase and allowed me to leverage having some additional work done on the car before buying it.I would recommend them in a heartbeat. I don’t know if I’ll ever need performance car service in Chicago, but if I do it’s the first number I’m calling.

Ive been servicing my car here since I moved nearby. The team is transparent regarding the repair process, and excellent with communication. They were also able to assist with getting me into a rental at a good rate.

I called to inquire about performing service on a 2010 Jaguar. The guy that answered the phone told me they dont work on my model and that would have been the end of conversation at a lot of places. Except, he asked me what was going on with the car. When I explained my issue, he spent the next 10 minutes discussing my concerns and recommended a course of action that made much more sense than what the dealer was suggesting.

The techs/staff at MPC were extremely thorough, knowledgeable, and maintained great communication throughout my recent service. Im fairly particular about my cars and who works on them, and MPC earned my trust on the first service.Three reasons:1) Attention to detail. Their initial inspection caught even the most minor/easily-overlooked maintenance issues that could become bigger problems.2) Transparency. I have been to shops that will order parts and perform extra services with no approval and stick you with a surprise bill. MPC gave me clear options and pricing on every service line item, breaking out parts and labor, and waited for approval before proceeding.3) Make/model expertise. MPC specializes in mainly European cars and knows them *really* well, which is surprisingly not the case for every manufacturer-specialized shop or frankly even dealership service dept in the area.Pricing is fair for a quality shop in the city. Staff is friendly and personable too...highly recommended.

The service department and particularly Jonathan were responsive and knowledgeable and it was on the basis of their initial response that I decided to send my car to them instead of to the mini dealership. As it turns out, not only were they able to find the cause of a problem that no other repair shop had been able to, including mini themselves, but the repair was less than half the price as they had identified the offending component. And in addition, they are a group of thoroughly nice people. The whole experience was more like tea at the Peninsula and less like the usual vague and muddy and expensive business that is navigating car repairs. Frankly, why would you ever go anywhere else? Thank you chaps, a job very well done indeed.

I really love this repair shop. Previously, I took my car to the Honda dealerships to be serviced. Many times, I felt like I went in for something simple and ended up shelling out a lot more than originally planned. So I started looking around but was hesitant because 1) Im not a car expert and 2) I am a female. Both aspects make me a prime victim for getting scammed.So I was happily surprised when I came across Midwest Performance. First, their location is not far from my job. So I could drop my car off on the way to work and not have to worry about coming to work late and then leaving early in order to get my car serviced or having to sacrifice half of my Saturday.Second, when I take my car in, my car gets what it needs. For example, I recently thought that my tires needed to be rotated because they had not been rotated since I purchased a new set of tires about 9 months ago. Midwest checked the tires out and determined that the new set was more like winter tires and therefore nothing needed to be done.Then my last oil change from them was about 6 months ago. Initially, I was shocked by the price of the oil change (way more than I use to pay) but my car says the level is currently at 50%. So I ended up paying less than I normally pay.

Service is very good. I’m very scrupulous person especially to my car and I spent some time on trying to find a good service but Brendon, Jonathan and Chris made me to choose MPC. They are very good staff that I have pleasure to have business with. I do like the work they are doing on my car and all transparency that they are providing to me. I would recommend MPC to people who are looking for a trustable service with a high quality of work.
