Not busy but too much clutter for the store size

Ive been in Dollar Generals all over the area and this is by far the best one!! Always clean, organized, staffed and stocked. 👍

Most items are a bargain. Great selection of items. No limits on number of items purchased. Like a treasure hunt for those hard to find items.

The Dollar General on East Broadway all they do is set in smoke cigarettes outside the store halftime two people dont get waited on thats one woman in their their treats me like hell they give other people I saw when they have it but not certain people and that is on East Broadway and the one on 6th Avenue in Hopewell Virginia refuse to let me be in the store because I did not have a mask on well I had a mask on but it did not cover my nose I could not breathe the girl told me to leave because I did not have a mess thats 6th Avenue Hopewell they do not have no decent supplies the store is dirty all the time and their cashiers are very disrespectful and rude that is the one on 5th Avenue and East Broadway in Hopewell

I like going to dollar general store to sop for my supplies for my home.

It is the good old Dollar General. Love ot or hate it they have what you need when you need it. Cheap candy and cheap clothes. Best place to go for those holidays like Easter, Christmas or Valentines day which require candy and other festive items for the low low. Could be better, could be worse. Its pretty much your standard Dollar general.

This was the nicest dollar general ive been in i have been in many and i thought they were all the same dirty and run down i go to school down the street from this one and needed material for a project so thought well ill just be quick I was so impressed i walked around the store and ended up buying even more than i needed. Wish all dollar generals would get on board like this one.

The associates are friendly,helpful and polite. They greet you when you enter the store and when you leave they day thank you and good bye.

I moved behind this store the end of June, 2019. My granddaughter and I visited on June 29th. I will never go in this store again. We were sitting in the outdoor chairs that were on clearance to see how comfortable they were, when a lady employee came running up to us screaming and yelling for us to get out the chairs. She said we werent suppose to be sitting in them and started grabbing the chairs up. I told her I was thinking of buying them. She was totally out of control. I will never go in that store again. I have called the district manager and regional manager. No reply. Im going to check with a lawyer next to see if I can file a harassment lawsuit. Stay away from this store!!!!!!!

It is a clean and neat store with very nice and helpful assoçiates.

This is one of my favorite places to shop! Reasonable prices and always has what Im looking for.

Empty spots on shelves and the products sitting on top shelves so climbed shelves to get Pringles and poptarts off top shelf due to none on the shelf. Always boxes and rolling cart with boxes all over the store waiting to be put out.

I come here for the convenience. I come a lot after work when it seems to get busy but theres always only one cashier; usually polite but slow. Yesterday I waited 30 minutes for the manager to come do a return then she tried to dismiss me without ringing me up for the stuff I came to buy. Needs improvement!

I love dollar general you can always find holiday stuff for good prices.

Always one right around the corner. They have just about everything you could ever need and the prices are very reasonable. They always have good sales and the holiday selection is very nice.

Great manager. She works with you if you have a problem. The rest of the employees are great. Kind, considerate. Love going to that store.

The store was very busy, the truck had delivered the order, one employee was up front. He was polite and helpful, and had a smile on his face. The workers make very little, but they give alot. This guy deserves a raise.

Store could be better if staffed a little better. But normally stay stocked with items. Prefer this location than the two in Hopewell.

Do not like when Im walking out of the store after a purchase and have to hear the manager is yelling at the top of his lungs we are closing you gotta go, time to get out. Then mumbling under his breath while walking behind ppl as they leave. So unprofessional, unbelievable! It was the little short man with facial hair and glasses.

It was stocking day...hard to shop with all of the carts in front of aisles...cashier put all heavy items in one bag...difficult to carry... normally I love this store...today, not so much

Had what I needed (bottled water, Aquafina). A smaller pkg than I really wanted, but it saved me a trip to Walmart - didnt have time today. Easy access from Rt 10. Very nice, polite customer service.

Always a mess like most of them. The two new black guys working the register brought their customer service up...the other guy is always hiding especially when the line is backed up which us always.

We took quick stop in today always staff are super nice and enjoy short quick conversations.Easy to grab what we need and run out..

Very under staffed waited in line for 30 minutes. There was only one cashier. The other was outside smoking as the line grew longer and longer. The cashier that was actually doing her job was very sweet.

In and out and had what I needed

I am becoming a fan of this place more and more. After work if i need to pick up a few things for the house, car, or kids i can usually find it there for a great price and the customer service has been really good.

My go to place for most of my snacks and delicious treats besides lidel or aldi. Just one other thing...its a lot closer to the house than Food Lion or Kroger.

Rude employees everyone we have gone in this store. Couldnt break a $50 on a $42.00 bill! I would have complained to a manager but Im pretty sure she was the problem!

Got a HUGE snow storm. Could not drive anywhere. Was told by the cashier at the time could not accept 100 bill and she walked off. I was spending $60. Had to call her multiple times just to get to her to come from the back. She did not have respect for the store or me as a customer. If the owner cares about their inventory and customers, someone really needs to address this cashier. I know me and my family will not do business there again.
