I’ve known Paul & Lester for many many years and they always showed me love from the start and always was willing to assist me with any repair problems that I have. They have some much knowledge & experience about Audi & VW than any one else I’ve came across. In my opinion they are the greatest professional mechanics & one of the baddest duos in the state of Virginia. They added on things that didn’t need to be fixed. Broke things that wasn’t broken, and refused to fix it. Do not take your vehicle there. And they are charging and illegal fee for Debit card use. It’s not posted no where in the store! If you have please file a complaint. Crooks!

I have also had him customize some performance tunes on a few of my turbocharged cars.

Found this place on Google search after a previous European car shop fail to fix an oil leak. Had my doubts when I first walked in but I decided to give them a shot. Im glad I took the chance. This place was quick to find what the problem was and explained it in detail and what the fix and cost would be. My car was repaired in one day. The price was very fair. This is the place I will bring my Audi to for now on.

Paul and Lester are very Knowledgeable. My02 Audi had a variety of brake and electrical problems. Paul diagnosed them and replaced the rotors pads and drive axle and addressed other issues promptly. Bc its an Audi product the parts seemed a little high, but the labor rate is very competitive. They were able to work with me on it as well. So, I can definitely recommend these guys.

Great shop! Have taken my mk5 08 Rabbit there for routine maintenance: oil changes, brake fluid flush and other brake work in addition to some major repairs after getting in an accident: they replaced my radiator, radiator support and a headlight and did as much as possible for the cosmetic damage too. Quality work, good communication and reasonable pricing, great shop.

Please dont trust any negative comments about this shop. I had a CEL on my CC and spent 1000s in repairs to diagnose it and nobody found a solution except HB Motorwerks. I was new to this place and was not aware of these experts and that too they were just a few miles away. I brought my car 2 months ago and got it fixed by HB Motorwerks (Who called me and explained what was wrong and assured me on the phone your problem is FIXED) and my CEL hasnt returned and it drives like a brand new at 103k miles. I am going to them next month for a oil change because they are the only ones who knows what oil (Liqui Moly) and additives to use for VW/Family. Like i said they are the Experts. Please get your AUDI/VWs to HB Motorwerks. They are not like stealership. They will tell it as it is and get it done on time and earlier than anticipated. Thanks again ! See you soon

Definitely will be going here from now one. My VW Jetta wouldnt turn off. I had it towed late in the afternoon and was called early this morning that it was ready. I refuse to go back to the dealership after multiple bad experiences. So grateful for the recommendation from a locksmith.

The Mechanic Paul was rude and unprofessional. Paul informed me that a part was obsolete and told I would have to pay for the part even though it was not guaranteed my part was available. I have Vw Passat I needEd minor which I willing to pay for. I will be returning to this establishment an I’m also going to inform people on how poor the customer service was.

Took three emails to finally reach somebody. The individual left a message on my phone that I couldnt understand, because I couldnt hear him. I called back and the dude who answered the phone was completely disinterested and aloof, which was interesting coming from an autohaus. I was looking to drop at least 5k on work/tune to my vehicle and they had no time for me. National Speed in Richmond will have my business; Raceworks in VB for APR stuff.

Was having some problem with my 2011 AUDI A4. took it to HB motorwerks where I met paul and lester two certify AUDI technician. handed in my keys monday by Wednesday my car was diagnose and ready to go...much respect to these guys theyre far better than AUDI OF VIRGINIA BEACH!!!

Car wouldn’t start Saturday got it towed to HB the guys Paul and Les said don’t worry we got it mind you they had a clutch job(DSG) and a turbo install manages to diagnose my issue and boom fired the ole girl up Best and I do mean Best in the business thanks HB

I had some work done on my 2017 VW Passat I was very pleased with the service and the techs. It felt like family.

I was told misfiring of my engine was due to bad coils/plugs, and the cost for parts and labor would be $189. They said it would be done by early afternoon. I had to call back more than once and finally at 4pm someone picked up and was like, “yeah, it’s ready.” So I get over there and the guy tries charging me $474. He said it was a human error, people make mistakes. I told him to take the new stuff out and put the old stuff back in. So ridiculous! Then, in order to try “making it right,” he adjusted the $474 down to $376. Still DOUBLE my initial verbal quote! Such a fun, pleasant experience.

Paul and Lester are amazing! Keri is also very knowledgeable and so sweet! I wasnt sure if I wanted to ever get a Volkswagen or Audi because of the maintenance. So when I found a car that I finally like, they looked it over for me and made me feel very confident in my purchase. Now, they take care of my brothers 2007 and my 2009 VW Jettas. Best in the game for German automotive mechanical work, whether youre looking for performance or practicality. I will say however that the man that answers the phone is extremely rude sometimes but hes the only person Ive ever had a problem with.

My family and I will not be back to HB Motorwerks. Never in my life have I been treated so wrongly after a mistake on a business end, but I was disregarded just as easily, and my husband has lost out on his vehicles $600+ tune (it was on the car when we purchased it).If you come to this establishment, and especially if you use Paul, please make sure you ask them to notify you every step of the way. And if you dont quite understand what is going on with your car, please make sure they give you all the important information you need to know about what they are doing to it. Because checking something could mean erasing something entirely.Good luck.

Found this place after being ripped off at an Audi dealership in the area. They found the source of a problem on our older Audi that an Audi dealership couldnt find for months. Went there when they first opened. Car wouldnt pass inspection due to airbag light on. Went to all little shops I knew of to see if they had the tool to reset it. Didnt want to get raped by the dealership. Finally a Coworker told me about H B Motorwerks opening on his delivery route. I went there and let me say.... Lester went above and beyond. Not only did he reset it so my car could pass he didnt even charge me for it.Im now dropping off my Vw for a coolant leak. Ill update how that goes. Pretty confident in H B Motorwerks entire crew.
