The ice cream here is a must have puts everyone elses ice cream to shame. The staff was wonderful and helpful. The pricing was great.

The customer service was fantastic and the staff was very welcoming and helpful. They were also very knowledgeable about their flavors. Blake was particularly helpful in accommodating my needs regarding my allergies. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

This ice cream rocks. Great special flavors and amazing classics. Stopped by with my two sons and fiancé and they were so enthralled by the flavors that they simultaneously did the tasty wiggle dance.. The bill is a little pricey but where else can you get flavors like Blueberry White Chocolate Chunk, Malted Peanut, and Aztec Chocolate (my favorite) ?

Took my family to Clumpies for ice cream. The ice cream is very good and the staff was very friendly. There is no seating inside so be prepared to be outside. I would recommend this ice cream shop it was very good.

Great place for trying out new and experimental flavors. If you want to try a different style ice cream parlor, this one has the same feel, but with interesting options such as Salt and Pepper ice cream or Blueberries and Basil ice cream. They also carry sherbets and sorbets. This place usually has a line on weekends for a reason.

Soft (compared to those from super market) local ice creams in scoops. I dont think there were other fancier menu items such as banana splits, blizzards, etc. Generous portions. Right at the Incline railway bottom station.

Great Chattanooga-only ice-creamery (three locations).We stopped at this location in St Elmo after visiting Lookout Mountain and were very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the product!Well be sure to visit all of the locations the next time were in Chattanooga and craving something sweet!

Definitely 5 stars! We went to ride the Incline Railway and got ice cream from this little place before we rode. The staff was so friendly and the ice cream was real ice cream. None of that fake tasting stuff. I definitely recommend.

Not the best experience. Wasn’t allowed to try the flavors. Customer service was at a all time low. Two girls behind the counter just talking about there personal lives in front of us which was very rude. Asked her a question she answered and went straight back to talking about herself and starting senior year and blah blah blah. Won’t go back.

We had heard about this place from a friend before going to visit the incline railway. Its practically located in the incline railway premises where we purchase tickets and board the train.Theyve got good flavors to go about. We tried the Berry Cobbler which was great and the Firecracker flavor which was weirdly good and felt like real firecrackers exploding inside the mouth. Other flavors seemed good too.Overall a great past time when you are waiting to board the incline train, or a great compensation after getting back from the mountaintop.

We had a great experience here. Ice cream was delicious and it was very promptly brought to us. I had the mint julip flavor which was refreshing and spot on, and my daughter had the raspberry meringue one. She loved hers as well. Definitely a good and consistent ice cream shop!

Its so fresh tasting the staff were friendly and very quick

This place use to serve a consistent quality product , but that all changed when ownership changed a few years ago. The ice cream’s consistency is very icy and even chalky at times. The flavors are flat. Since Clumpies was purchased by Rock City it seems that they are more concerned about quantity versus quality and expanding their locations instead of perfecting what they’ve got.

Not impressed with the service or ice cream. Most places are doing there best with the pandemic but these people are rude. They set the ice cream on a table and let the customers figure out if it is theirs or someone else. Also most of the flavors had lines through them because they ran out.

That would have been enough for 5* but we want to offer a sincere thank you to the staff who went way above and beyond to help us avoid an allergen. Great flavors and good prices. Pay by weight, a waffle cone about $3.75. Very friendly staff. Not much room inside so the line goes out the door, but theres tables outside and the incline railroad next door where you can enjoy your treat and the view.

We have always enjoyed our trips to Clumpies Ice Cream Co. The employees are always friendly and smiling and the ice cream is wonderful. If you are looking for something that is not the normal flavor then Clumpies is the place for you. You can try as many flavors as you like. I especially love the Coffee Toffee.

They charge by weight. So a better deal for me was a float. I got a large pralines and cream in a big cup of diet coke for $7 plus tax. Vs. Buying a scoop of ice cream and bottled drink estimated cost 6.50. Seemed like a better deal to me.

A good ice cream shop. But a little too pricey for sundaes.They have various gourmet flavors. And this location has a St. Elmos Chocolate Fire flavor, that is not available at the location near Coolidge Park. The St. Elmos Chocolate Fire flavor, is a mixture of Chocolate ice cream, cinnamon and a hot spice. These make for a very unique experience. When tasting it, you are first hit with chocolate, then you detect the sweet cinnamon, then finally you taste a hot after tone. Unlike any other flavor available.The staff are nice.The ice cream is good. But $8.00 for their Brownie Sundae is a bit much. Logans Roadhouse has a Mississippi Brownie with ice cream, for less, the brownie is heated and bigger, plus other trimmings, like hot marshmallows, hot fudge and caramel. All that said, Clumped Brownie Sundae is very good. Just overpriced.A single scoop at $2.50 is OK. But the Sundae prices are higher than others, including Brusters.

Some of the best ice cream in Chattanooga! The location by the Incline doesnt have much indoor seating, but the patio outside is a nice place to sit. The downtown location does have more indoor seating. I got the chocolate tahini crunch at both locations and it was amazing each time.

Couldnt find any handicapped access to the order window. Went across the street to Mr. Ts Pizza and Ice Cream

My absolute favorite ice cream shop in the world. We drive up from Atlanta just for Clumpies. The have non-dairy options for my son with allergies. I really appreciate that.

Pretty simple ice cream experience. They had about 12 different flavors, including some very odd ones. Pretty tasty though. You pay by the weight of ice cream. Got the family 4 cones for right around $10, so not too bad.

This place was so friendly and yummy! You pay by the ounce, so you dont have to get specific sizes or amounts. I had the espresso with chocolate chunks and was very happy with my choice!

Frequented the establishment while at Incline Railway & thoroughly enjoyed their cookie dough malt while my wife had a praline ice cream. Both were delicious & would definitely recommend if in the area or looking to soothe a sweet tooth. Staff was friendly & family was clean.

The creaminess of the icecream was there, but the finishing touches were missing. This icecream has the potential to be my favorite with its interesting combinations, but right now it is not. This store doesnt have all the selection of the other locations but st Elmo is such a quaint little town feel it a great spot to take your family and sit outside... its also right at the bottom of the incline railroad whether you ride it up to or down from the mountain or just want to watch it go its a great spot for some icecream... and clumpies has the best icecream!!
