The Huddle House next to Flying J in Fargo ND...the food we had was complete, hot and very good. It was a good size portion and could have shared it easily. The seats definitely needs a face lift but the Waitress/Cashier/Manager was very friendly and made us laugh. I would eat there again if we come through Fargo.
Whoever runs and manages this place should consider a career change. New management needs to be put in place to provide adequate training to their staff. I waited 40 min for no food. Not a good food location for truckers so please reconsider other options for breakfast.
Came in and got a southern smothered biscuit platter. It came out fast and just like the picture. Server and manager were friendly and attentive. Strongly recommend
I took my Grandson for breakfast Sunday Morning and it was not a good experience. We both ordered ham and eggs, toast, and coffee. Ham was cold, the white in the eggs were runny, and the toast had enough butter on it to butter 10 slices of toast. I had to scrape it off. The only thing good was the coffee. I should have trusted the reviews but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Will never eat there again.
I entered this restaurant and immediately was met with a terrible coming. Cash only. Okay I don’t have any, but there’s an atm outside! Nope- it’s broken. My friend will help me. Waited 15 minutes to get served. Ordered and it took another 40 minutes. Got my food burnt and soggy. Eggs, inedible. Hash browns, inedible. Make me another plate and it comes out the exact same. Even the other customer (there was only one other person ordering food) was complaining their food was burnt. Will never come here again.
Where to start. If you like being told you arent important enough to be helped, then this is the place for you. Also the lady with like 4 teeth is an absolute delight. Wont hesitate to yell and cuss at you for nothing more than trying to pay or put your order in.
The staffs were friendly and the service was fast. At the time I placed my orders, the restaurant was nearly empty due to rush hour ending according to the staff who took my order. I liked the friendliness and the attentiveness of the staff. I didnt like the fact that I was left alone browsing through menu for a long time and the staff came back when I informed that I was ready and didnt come to check up on me to see if I had any question. The foods I wanted the most, they were out of them, sadly. 4 star rating was based on my overall experience of the restaurant
It was one Personnel running the whole place with for different positions ( ccok, waiter, cashier and Janitor smh. ) After been there 30 minutes my order still wasnt place. Finally the personnel kicked the trash can, turned off all the lights, and walked out the back door. He quit right on the spot. The sad part, that man been working there a week along.
We were traveling through and stopped for an early supper. Vickie was our server and very nice and helpful. Our kids had been in the vehicle for hours and she was patient with their rambunctiousness. Even the cook spoke to us. We will definitely be back.

If I could give it negative stars I definitely would... went in for breakfast, waited for close to 20 minutes before the waiter even acknowledged our presence and took our drink orders... it was close to 10 minutes before he came back with the 2 drinks and to finally take our order... I knew right at that moment the order was going to be screwed up...My order came out close to another 30 minutes later, while my wifes order didnt come out... we had figured that he had to run and grab her food... we waited, Im not going to sit there and eat in front of someone without food, so my food was getting colder by the minute... I gave it between 10-15 minutes until I finally got up and saw the waiter just sitting by the register... I asked him if we were ever going to get the rest of our food so that we can eat... he weakly apologized and said that it would be right out... it was biscuits and gravy, should have been 2 minutes tops to get that done, nope, another 10 minutes at least... by the time she finally got her food, mine was cold and barely edible at that point but I pushed through and ate it... her order came out with half of what she had actually ordered and mine was just a sad attempt at a breakfast...Maybe it was just an off day, but I am highly doubting that... the tables were all dirty, after people left the tables remained dirty until at least the time I left, who knows how long after that... I would not recommend, and I wont be going back
I worked in the food business for 15 years and I had the best mushroom Swiss burger for anywhere. The cook and the people working there deserve alot of credit
I was in Fargo ND., and my food choices were few. I chose the Huddle House, service was great, there was only one employee, and she served the other customers and I very well. Then I came in for breakfast this morning, was served well, and she and the gentleman that was with her was very welcoming. Awesome service and food.
One of the worst breakfast experiences Ive ever had. Food was horrible with a waffle a third the thickness of a normal one, burnt meat and just overcooked everything. Sisters eggs were burned and she wouldnt eat anything on hers. Server was high as a kite and laughed when I told him the breakfast was unbelievably bad and he nodded and said yeah it is. Great. $34 for literally an egg and half a waffle eaten in total. Do not...absolutely do not go back to this place.Cash only - youll find this out when you go up to pay. Probably should tell your customers that the card machine is down before ordering just in caseUgh this service was horrible!!!
First time we ever canceled an order and walked out of a restaurant. Ordered sweet tea and when we got it it was soured. We ordered the tots as an appetizer my wife ordered a chopped steak a salad and mashed potatoes. Her salad was wilted she got a dry chopped steak with no gravy and hash browns. I ordered the prime rib tips veggies and Mac and cheese. After my wife was done eating I walked up to the counter and asked about the rest of our meal. The young man behind the register was lost and had no idea. There were nine other people in the restaurant that had also ordered food and all that was being made was a basket of shrimp. We canceled the rest of our order that had not been started yet. This restaurant needs some management. One young kid running the register and one in the kitchen and neither one seemed to know what was going on. Worst dining experience ever.
I appreciate the 2 gentleman working but....we waited for 2 hours to get any bit of our order. The eggs were cold, French toast burnt, and pancakes were batter still. We didnt receive one whole order and missed half our drinks.Ended up going next door and grabbing gas station food.Management, step up
My experience there was pretty good especially seeing as the manager was literally the only one who wanted to work for a living, so instead of closing and leaving little options for us truck drivers to eat she stayed open and ran everything by herself and did a great job, as long as people were patient enough to wait she had no problem at all serving you , way to go and the owner should be really proud of her
My wife and I went there this morning because we miss the restaurants down South. I wanted to test there grits and let me tell you that I was not disappointed. I thought that we were sitting in our home down South. The only bad thing was that we didn’t have room for more food. If you’re ever down by the Flying J truck stop on I-29 S @ 32nd Ave S stop on in and try anything but don’t forget the grits with shredded cheddar cheese.
How do you mess up scrambled eggs. Ordered through Uber eats. The food had no flavor and was just slop. And what did have flavor had what seemed to be a bag of salt on it. The eggs were disgusting. We got the food within 20 mins of ordering so it had nothing to do with delivery. Don’t waste your money on this dump.
My girlfreind and I are in full agreement on the Huddle House. Our server was very polite and professional so she gets the only stars as she deserves them, Let me explain.The cushioned benches are in bad condition like they are peeling. The food was served on cold and i mean fairly chilled plates so all of our food was cold before getting 1/4th of our food eaten. My scrambled eggs getting cold with the fact they had the consistency of mashed potatoes on the thinner side.I will say the people there were very friendly, with that being said one of the servers as polite and well mannered as he was was not what id consider dressed for the job. Now I understand wearing ones pance just above the thighs is a fashion statement, the fact that his black shorts looked very dirty is not, it gave an appearance of uncleanleness.The 3 others I saw eating there, a couple and a man in a separate booth both had complaints about their food being cold or something wrong with their order. The two servers appeared to be doing there best and were very impressive as both kept a smile and there heads.The experience left me with a fealing that the owner of the establishment did not care and with an urge to (although I didnt) tell the employees especially the servers to quit there jobs now and find a job that would allow them selves respect in themselves and to see that respect in others.

I had a great experience here today and always have. The food is delicious and priced reasonably. Today was especially something as only one cook and one waitress were on when I arrived on Friday at 930am - which I found a bit strange as there were many customers. The waitress, Jess, did a fantastic job of keeping 14-16 persons orders in check. Perhaps thats why only one waitress was on as she did a fantastic job! The cook was impressive too as he kept up with orders too.

Waited for our food (table of 6) for an hour+ and it was cold when it came out. There was no communication as to why it was taking so long until we finally got the chance to ask the waiter. There was only one other table while we were here. If I could give it zero, I would. The only enjoyable thing was their lemonade.
Oh I wish i read reviews before ordering here.. Between ROTTEN fruit, overcooked everything, the greasiest* wrap i have ever touched, half of our order being wrong, just dont even think about spending money here. Place needs to be shut down or Gordon Ramsey needs to take over. Have you ever had rotten honeydew? Its not good. Its not even okay. Didnt even think to try the other fruit because I didnt trust it. Pancakes and eggs are so easy, but my partner had burnt pancakes and bacon and took one bite of the eggs before throwing it all out*ive had some great greasy burgers, burgers you expect to be greasy. I have NEVER had this much grease from a greasy burger and this was just a wrap with fajita steak and bacon (which wasnt even the wrap I ordered)

Food was awful. Burnt, not done I mean raw and it smelled like it was old. Drinks had bugs in it and they said that it was coffee grounds. Spent $60 and threw it all away. Just awful.
If youre going to close well before it says youre open till... change the hours.. this is the second time in the last month....
The benches are all destroyed, service was insanely slow, food came out to us piece by piece at different times for different people so none of us ate together.When we did get our food, the portions were tiny and everything was overcooked.Would not recommend.
They have only 2 people working here way to go this is a place for truckers to eat hire some more people so it can stay open longer way to treat truckers like this

This place was one of the worst “restaurants” I’ve ever been to. There was absolutely no seating whatsoever, and we had to move chairs and tables in order to create a place for us to sit. All the other seating areas were torn to shreds and all stacked and put away. This is the first time we’ve ever walked out of a restaurant. We weren’t even acknowledged, and I doubt anyone even noticed when we walked right out the door. Stay AWAY from this place. You’re more likely to get waited on in the middle of the dessert than at this place.

Ordered online. Did not get what we ordered. Tried to call. Didnt answer the phone so we ordered again and paid again. Still didnt get what we ordered. Were told when we got there they had no Au Jus. When we got the order back to the office we looked and they gave us mashed potatoes again instead of a baked potato. Must be out of baked potatoes also. You think they could call us to let us know. Double paid. Didnt offer to refund money either. Was told they have nothing to do with online ordering either! Very dissatisfied.
Where do I begin...1. The booths are disgusting and all tore up.2. Employees were outside while customers sat themselves and waited a good 10 minutes to be spoke to.3. The mozzarella sticks were gross, oil must not have been changed in ages and were served with a plastic cup of heinz marinara that is absolutely nasty.4. I ordered the mushroom swiss & onion burger with no sauteed onions with chili cheese fries. The burger was ok, they didnt put mushrooms on it which defeats the purpose of a mushroom swiss 🙄. The cheese on the fries wasnt even melted.5. Waitress passed me multiple times and didnt bother to refill my water.Will not be eating here again
Had to talk to the kitchen about the temp of the food. Plate came out with raw chicken which they fixed right away. Then the gravy was cold. I discussed this with the kitchen. The big issue I had was the server and cook fighting loud enough for guests to hear. Server slamming plates of food around. I have been to the place more than once, and Ive never seen any management. Food is decent. Costumer service is lacking.

We started out with a server but then she left. There was slight problem with a customer, the customer was quite respectful in her displeasure of service and time it took to get their food. The server couldnt handle the criticism and left in the middle of her shift. The cook was left to serve us. I understand the hardships of being a server, as I was one myself. But to leave the cook to complete and do all the work, NOT GOOD.

The Huddle house in Fargo ND at the flying J truck stop. There was no costumers in there except for my husband and I. It took 25 mins to cook a 10 min or less meal. When I got my breakfast, my eggsvwas ice cold, my pancake wasnt cooked all the way still had liquid batter in the middle. The waitress sat down reading a book instead of getting are silverware and condiments that we would need, like syrup, steak sauce, ketchup. Like I sd it was dead in this place, just my husband and I. The service really sucked and I highly recommend not eating there

Let me tell you something.. Ive lived in Fargo almost 10 years. I always see Huddle House but Ive never stopped in. I always get coupons from them in my mail but I never keep any. I always pass by when Im headed to Windbreak, GastroPub Billiards, or JL Beers but this time I decided to make a spontaneous stop and check it out. I had just finished working 18 hours and finally ended my shift at 9 AM and man, it was exactly what I needed after a long day. It was quiet, inviting and genuine. Calvin and Linda were awesome and they were very laid back. I was served coffee and water right away and my meat lovers omelette came out quicker than I expected with bacon, sausage and ham. This is one of those places I wish I wouldve visited sooner. The omelette was egg-cellent 😏 and the sourdough toast and fruit bowl was delicious as well. I will definitely be coming back here again!
It was the worst dining experience I have ever had. We were the only table (larger group), but took over 45 minutes to get coffee, water was never served. My husband ordered milk, which was sour, told the server this prior to leaving g and was told we had to pay for it regardless. We had to tell the server to please start bring out our meals (after waiting over two hours). We even had to put our own coffee. Save your money and go to McDonad’s across the road.
They close when ever they want and open when ever they want. They dont follow posted times. They offer dine in but was closed by 8pm. They did allow me to get take out, and food was ok. I woke up early to try to have breakfast but they were still closed (6am).

There were maybe 5 other tables before us. 2 total employees working at 10am on a Saturday morning.. I understand being understaffed.. but the waitress never even updated us or apologized for the wait.. we sat for roughly 45 minutes with empty cups.. another gentleman came in and waited 30 minutes before going to the counter to place his own order because she “forgot he came in” terrible experience. This location should be shut down. I talked it up so highly because I had Huddle House many times in Illinois, expecting the same great experience. absolutely not.. Do not waste your time attempting to come to this location and enjoy your experience.

Ordered through uber eats. Got the food was soggy and all messed up ordered a waffle and got a squished pancake in a box ordered biscuit and sausage gravy and got a biscuit with gravy and a half a ripped sausage on top food had zero seasoning didnt send utensils and half of my wifes order wasnt even edible.
I typically order delivery or takeout from here. About 40% of the time I received burnt/overcooked food. Anytime I try and call for a refund, no one answers the phone

Ordered the waffle brkfst from the big rig menu. Was given 1 waffle and one over cooked egg. Not even what I ordered. Ordered fried pickles and was given just 6 pickles with no fries and was going to get charged $5 for it. The manager lady had to go and explain to everyone how they screwed my order up. The new waitress didnt even apologize. She just brought the new order and put it in front of me. I said thank you and she just walked off. You just lost a good paying customer.

Missing items on order. Butter melted all over french toast and pancakes making them soggy. French toast very burned. All good items were slopped together. Was not given any syrup or condiments with order. Quality assurance is obviously not important to this business. Definitely not worth the $35+ I paid. Now I understand why they have such a low rating. 1st time customer. I will never order or eat here again. Very disappointing.

I NOTICED HE WASNT CHANGING HIS GLOVES AND WAS TOUCHING EVERYTHING LIKE DIRTY DISHES,MONEY,ETC..HE REACHED IN A BUCKET TO GET A RAG TO CLEAN A TABLE WITH CLEANING SOLUTION IN IT,AND STILL USED THE SAME GLOVES TO CONTINUE COOKING. Omg is this food nasty! I ordered through Postmates, I probably should have read reviews first. My scrambled eggs had a part of an eggshell in it and it wasn’t just a little piece it was pretty sizable. Which caused me to also throw up, I literally gagging and everything. And the pancakes where burnt and tasteless. The omelette we also ordered was basically a egg pancake and then the bacon and other toppings wrapped inside. Literally so disgusting. Go to Denny’s instead 10,000 times better!
Not very good. They were out of their staple desert. Didnt have any steak cuts and my food was under cooked. I ordered the shrimp and wing meal and I only got wings. The waitress did her best but seemed over worked and tired.

This is what I get for not reading reviews.Easily the worst food Ive had in Fargo. Nothing was correct about my order (my kids got hosed on what were supposed to be pancakes). The eggs they sent out werent cooked properly (runny, dripping all over the entire carton). They didnt include the right sides.They had the nerve to give me an order of fries that consisted of 5 french fries. 5. Not 5 orders. Literally 5 fries.This place blows. Dont repeat my mistake.
