I decided to drop by and grab a coffee when googling coffee shops in Chattanooga. I wasnt sure based on the pictures of they had food or not and decided to see for myself. The short is they dont really offer much from the food department, but they have great pastries and a symbiotic relationship with the donut shop next door.I decided to have my coffee on site and I will note this is more of a takeaway, as its very small. The coffee is fantastic and the lovely sourced pastries are also on point, but if youre looking to sit down and enjoy a coffee and snack there are only two seats to choose from. If youre lucky like me you will be able to do so, but otherwise youll have to grab and go.I got the brown sugar latte as they made their brown sugar syrup in house. It was delicious, on the sweeter side which was expected and appreciated. Both the baristas were wonderful and polite. They made me feel welcome and happy that I happened to crawl on through.

I am regular at Mad Priest Coffee, specifically the Broad St location, and I find it difficult to think of anything bad to say about it. They possess a certain level of “pasaz” that many small coffee shops fail to accomplish. The ambiance is on point, their merch is incredible, their little pastries are flavorful, and the coffee is stupendous. Additionally, I’ve grown to really enjoy speaking with the staff. They provide such warm welcomes when entering the building and never hesitate to educate you on the variety of beans they carry and the process of making your drink. In fact, just the other day, a middle aged couple came in and asked to see how they make a cappuccino due to recently purchasing their own machine. The staff member said “no problem,” and went about explaining the step by step process. This a great stop to hit while traveling through the area and I strongly advise that you do so!

Only three people allowed on the coffee side due to covid-19, but it is worth the wait! If you are visiting in town, plan for coffee and breakfast treats! This place has a good selection of donuts and other goodies to compliment your coffee or those who dont drink coffee alike. Enjoy!

Great place for a quick cup of good coffee. Their staff is extremely welcoming. It was hot outside when I paid a visit, and barista invited me to bring my dog in to cool down (I hope that you guys wont get in trouble because of this review).Coffee and biscotti were tasty, and we still enjoy bean coffee that we bought there. Highly recommended!

Great experience today. Visited the abroad street location for the first time and, even though it’s a small shop, I loved the details in decor and the atmosphere. I tried the “brown sugar babe” fall specialty drink and it was top notch. The unique ice cubes are one of the best features in all the iced selections. They were super busy today as one of the only places open on Labor Day but the baristas were friendly, calm, and efficient. A literal bachelorette party walked in after me and they handled it so well. Go pay Mad Priest a visit, and make sure you tip these amazing people!

Best cup of coffee Ive had out in a long time. I love that they have raw sugar and almond milk creamer if you happen to be vegan. My only complaint would be their hours as it limits me to pretty much 1 day a week I can go there, but I bought some to make at home for the rest of the week.

Stopped into this charming spot I search of coffee on our way home from our trip. The coffee flavors had delightful names and we were fortunate enough to try the columbian and a dark roast. Both were full of flavor and a treat to experience. Look forward to stopping by again when we are in the area.

First order took a week to ship. Second shipment was more timely but the ‘Mad priest’ gimmick here is over the top. I like good coffee and quick, friendly service and that’s all I need. The coffee was good, they appreciated my second order. I lost interest in the coffee here after watching YouTube videos concerning priests being mad over coffee, I get it.. it’s a gimmick but I don’t want my coffee entangled in sacrilegious activities. Lol Packaging is fine, coffee roast and flavor is good.. I liked the varying levels of roasting and pricing. Goodman coffee is best. I also read how company’s respond to reviews.

I love their Dark Night (dark roast) coffee. It was a dark night of the soul...A very long dark night... -St. John of God said so . His picture is on Mad Priests wonderful bag of Dark Night. Pick up, from friendly Mr. T, a bag or a fresh cup on Market near 23rd.And dont forget to treat yourself to a fresh dark chocolate (2 different flavors) scone. Also, its free parking and in good weather, like today, a sidewalk bench to watch the world go by, and summer shade trees on Market. This is the best coffee on either side of missionary ridge. Yes, their Roastery and drive thru pickup is on Dodson near TunnelI almost forgot to mention the Dark Night flavor notes. Especially the middle one on the list. Its really true, I can feel them as soon as I take my first sip... And this is not Fake News, its simply that MSNBC hasnt discovered Dark Night but dont tell them because we want Mad Priest for ourselves here in Chattanooga.

So, this morning coming out of the hotel in Chattanooga, we found two great places right next to each other. We stopped not knowing what to expect and we were very pleasantly surprised. The first place was Mad Priest Coffee house attended by Liz Sindler. Let me tell you, not only is she very friendly, the coffee is delicious. . I strongly recommend this coffee shop to all coffee lovers. And if you want a good donut, go right next door to Kochs Bakery where we purchased the best donuts that I have tried. We got the blueberry and coconut, chocolate glazed and plain donut. Let me tell you, amazing!!We are just traveling through Chattanooga and I made the mistake of thinking that I was not going to find anything nice. I was completely wrong, not only were the donuts & coffee great, but the people were very nice and friendly. Next, on the way to the Battle for Chattanooga, we found a soap company right on Broad St, Good Fortune Soap & Spa. My wife loved it! More people need to know about this place. Chattanooga is not only historical, but the people who are venturing into small businesses deserve to succeed. I am doing my part, now you do yours and go to Kochs bakery and next door is Mad Priest Coffee Roasters, both small but deserving recognition.

I was already a big fan of their Cherry street location and was pleasantly surprised to find out they’d renovated the Broad street location. I’ve tried every coffee shop downtown and both Mad Priest cafes serve up the best lattes — they’ve mastered the oat milk latte. I have to go a little out of my way to stop in but I’ll continue to do so. The baristas are friendly, helpful, drinks are fairly priced and always made perfectly.

I had a great time here. The barista was wonderful and made the best latte Ive had in awhile. My fiance and I got two of the seasonal drinks available. The brown sugar and cinnamon was my choice and it was perfectly foamy and comforting. My fiance got the cold brew with coconut and tamarind and he loved it. The barista was also extremely patient when I kept changing my mind if I was getting a t-shirt, hoodie, black mug, or white mug. I got the black mug.

This place just astounds me. They roast their coffee expertly, and buying whole bean from them has absolutely transformed my home coffee experience. They craft espresso beverages with care, and they definitely make the best cortado in town. But most incredibly- everything they do, they do with an ethical conscience as well as an artistic and culinary conscience. This is a company with a clear mission of supporting local refugee families as well as the communities across the globe from which their beans are sourced. They educate about the rich and complicated histories of these communities and are dedicated to furthering a more just future. I can’t say enough about Mad Priest. Thank you for being you!!
