Took about 3 hours for an oil change. When I left, the check engine light was on. The truck has 80,000 miles and the light has never come on before. I was told by staff that it isn’t their problem. The manager “might call me” later on when he gets in. They flat out refused to do anything, or even refund me. I find it hard to believe the light came on coincidentally. Drove it right across the parking lot to Pep Boys and they told me this kind of thing happens often at this particular Walmart Auto, and that he is often dealing with their mistakes. After about 2 minutes, he read the OBD code, which was an oxygen sensor. They somehow managed to get oil all over it. I still haven’t received a call back from the manager. I’d rather never change my oil again than come back here, safer for the truck that way.

Its a small area so it gets a little hectic but everyone I encountered was very helpful. One of the guys went above and beyond for me which was very appreciated. It took a little bit of time but that is expected with car work.

I bought a battery according to thier guide & it didnt fit. I called the department to see if they had a different one. The phone rang about 50 times. I called back someone picked up the receiver and reset it. I gave it a few minutes for me to calm down and called back. The associate answered, told me they didnt have the other one. I then asked can I return this battery to the Aouto center. He told me no.I asked was Jerome still there he told me no. When I got to the service desk guess who walked by? The manager Jerome. He asked why I didnt just return it back back there. What the associate didnt know is I worked at that store for 21 yrs.

Please take heed and if you don’t don’t say I didn’t warn you! I have taking my car to Walmart 3x to have a synthetic oil change. I took my car to Walmart over a year ago, then to the dealership, then to Walmart the next two times. Every single time I took my car to Walmart for an oil change my car hesitated to go and was stalling for about the first few miles or so. I am very convinced that Walmart is installing either the wrong filter or being careless with whatever they are doing since they are the only company to do an oil change in my car respond like this every time they have done an oil change. Twice Walmart has charged me extra for a special filter but the last time they didn’t. However every time they have done my oil change I have experienced the same problem. It has auto corrected it self as I did nothing about it specifically however I’m not sure what type of lasting damage it has or will have later on. I suggest you go to the dealership as the dealership usually does not charge more than Walmart for an oil change in certain areas of the US. The Chevy dealership in Charlotte is about $10 cheaper than Walmart and I haven’t had that problem with them. Since I travel a lot across the nation the three times I have had my oil changed at Walmart was because I was it near that particular dealership. Save your money save your car and go to the dealership...you have been warned.

I purchased a new battery and received great customer service. Not sure about some of these bad service reviews people leave. Everyone should consider how many people are ahead of them. Jerome estimated 30 mi. wait time and I was in truck ready to less than 30 mins. Thanks Walmart team

The service technicians were great. I give it 3 stars because of one of the assistant managers. He embarrassed (reprimanded) a technician while I was asking the technician a question. The employee was informing me that I didnt have highlights. I asked the employee how much they charged to install the lights and he said he didnt know if they charged for that and the assistant manager said of course we charge for that, its a service, why would you think we wouldnt charge for that? Very demeaning sounding to the guy who was being very nice.The oil change should have only took 30 minutes which I was told, but the assistant manager and I guess maybe managers decided they needed to have a meeting. Ended up taking quite a while. This type of thing shouldnt be done while people are waiting on a service. Poor management. This is not how you treat employees. He should have said yes we charge $7.50 for each and after I left told his employee how it worked in private. If I were the technician I would be finding a better company to work for.

I went by there and had a question a young man named Jack was so polite. He took the time to explain in detail what was best for my car. I will come back for him .But the rest probably not . I hope he was the manager he is very qualified and customer concerns come first. A-1

I had to wait a while because they were very busy. I had just had major hernia surgery when my battery died. Jerome was awesome! He did it himself so I wouldnt have to wait even longer. Larry was also amazing! There was a man named Jack there who felt it was okay for him to repeatedly belittle & talk down to Larry,who has been there for 30+ yrs and who hastens to be his elder by at least 40+ yrs. I dokie to management about it and was assured it would be handled. So...all in all...with the exception of one jerk...EVERYONE else there was absolutely AHHHMAZING!😳😉

Stopped in for simple oil change, was told it would be about 40 minutes but 2.5 hours later it was done. The next day I was having my alignment done elswhere and the told me my oil drain plug was loose and had lost about a qrt of oil. Thank goodnees I had the alignment done or would necer have know till it was out and damaged my engine. Thank you Firestone for letting me know.

DO NOT EVER TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS LOCATION EVER. A simple oil change has costed me $400 to have an oil pan replaced bc they have no idea what they are doing! And no one will return my call about the claim that was supposed to be started over a week ago!

Poor service it took about two hours to get a tire fixed with only 2 customers ahead and they were in the bay already. The sad part is they have a manager back there all the time but its a waste because it aint making a difference at. If u can go somewhere else because they dont take pride in making their customers happy or satisfied.

In March of 2014, I purchased a auto battery from Walmarts, which had a 2 year full and 3 more years of a pro-rated warranty. Recently the car would not start due to the battery and replacement was required. I took the car back to Walmarts for replacement. I was already past the full replacement option, but was in the pro-rated portion of the warranty. We were told that there was a $29 credit available for this pro-rated warranty. We were also told that if we were going to use that credit, we would be unable to get a warranty on the new battery, so if the battery died next week, I would be out of luck. I have had pro-rated warranties from other stores and they did not have this stipulation. The pro-rated warranty is essentially useless, as one would not want to expose yourself to not have a full warranty on the new battery. In my view, this is deceptive advertising and Walmarts should not be stating that there is an extended pro-rated warranty.

Their customer service is atrocious. Didn’t find out they were 4 hours!!!!! behind until I’d already been waiting for over an hour. And by the end didn’t even get an apology or a thank you for my wait.

8/7/18 went in at 7:25pm (auto center closes at 8pm) to get my spare tire changed for a new tire, the manager said they couldnt do it because it was too late and to try Pep boys. Called 8/8/18 at 9:43am, hung up on; Called 8/8/18 at 9:44am, placed on hold for 4 minutes then hung up and called in again and line kept ringing, finally the greeting person sent me to auto again... no answer... Really need to work on customer service.

Employees get driver’s seat dirty when they move the car. This has happened twice — this last time I even warned them and was told plastic would be over the seat. Wrong. Even the armrest and floorboard were dirty. I’m done with Walmart Automotive in Gunbarrel.
