David at Custom Framing is amazing. Not only does he have artistic talent, but he is the most gracious, kind and attentive customer service person ever! I had been a customer at Michaels for a long time in California, but the last time I had something framed, I was not pleased at all with the outcome. Unfortunately, there would have not been time to correct it before I moved to Tennessee. David not only honored their policy and fixed it, but he made the Sydney Opera House art look spectacular! He helped me find a frame that will shine no matter what room I display it in my new home. And he spruced it up by adding the silver bead fillet I had liked in another frame -- I didnt know I could do that! I look forward to having David frame many more frames for my new home. Thank you, David. You are a star!

My boyfriend and I went to see if this location had any of the Spooky Town Lemax buildings out yet. Normally there’s a big display of all the buildings and boxes of the items underneath it. There wasn’t a display so we thought we would inquire about it. The young lady that rang us up was very nice, and we asked if she knew when they might arrive. She asked her coworker if she knew when they might arrive. The older women, Gail, was extremely rude and yelling that if we “didn’t see them on the shelf then clearly we’re all out.” Gail could work on her customer service, but maybe she was just all out of friendliness.

It was a great shopping experience the staff was very friendly and helpful and I will definitely be going their more.

They’ve made it clear that they don’t care about the health of their employees or customers. Last time I was here, none of the customers around me were wearing masks or social distancing. When I mentioned this to the cashier, I was told that employees were instructed by regional management to NOT enforce local health authority mandates. I work for the corporate office of a retail chain and we manage to enforce mask mandates at stores in 6 different states, so I have a hard time believing that it isn’t possible to do the same in your stores. I’d rather protect myself and high-risk loved ones instead of shopping here. I can get all of my craft supplies online or at a more responsible competitor.

This is a craft store in which I could spend lots of time and money. They have a spectacular selection of supplies to suit just about every need. Staff were polite and helpful.

Good store I like it very much

This Michaels has a lot more than normal. I went in to get some Halloween decor and of course they got stampede by the early birds who went for the 50% or 40% off deals. I was glad i went in to check on some of the decor i had on an online shopping cart because the pictures were not the same in person. The location keeps everything relatively clean and organized, a few things missing off the shelf, but overall everything appeared to be in stock. The staff was very friendly, will visit this location again in the near future.

Well stocked w/ a friendly & helpful staff. If Michaels doesnt have it then you dont need it. They have great Sales & if something you have your eye on isnt on sale then theres always the 40% off 1 item coupon in their weekly flyer.

My go to shop for craft needs in Chattanooga. They have an excellent selection, a friendly staff, and you can almost always find a good coupon with a quick online search.

This store is very clean and organized. the workers are always nice and helpful. They always have a lot of items on sale and they always have good stuff thats in season. Really like this store, the merchandise, and the people.

Too much focus on seasonal items and not enough on everyday craft items. For example, I wasnt interested in Christmas items, and about 80% of the store was dedicated to holiday decor.

Usually a well organized and clean store. I rate 4 instead of 5 because other locations seem to have a larger selection in most departments. Good customer service and have not had any issues with merchandise quality or with returns.

I didnt quite understand where to post this review. I wanted to say that Michaels website is extremely hard to navigate and has a ridiculous shipping price. My local store shut down making it a challenge to get the free pick up. Not withstanding the fact that their selections for supplies seems to be expensive and narrow. I only have a five dollar gift card and it feels like I can never use it. ( Hints Ive now had it for going on 3 years) So now I have two options pay 7 dollars in shipping on a 2 dollar item or drive an hour away from my home to go in this store just to buy the one 2 dollar item I need. It doesnt make sense. So now I can just sit here with my gift and and wait another 3 years to actually use my five dollars. I cant help feeling their just trying to take advantage of people during a pandemic.

Love love loooooove Michaels!! It’s by far my favorite craft store in the Hamilton Place area. The customer service beats Hobby Lobby and Joann’s in this area any day of the week. Their employees really know their stuff and are always helpful getting you what you need. They always have a great variety of holiday decorations to choose from, and their sales are the best! Michaels is my first stop for any craft project. David is also an amazing employee at this location. He gives 110% and is such a pleasure to work with while shopping.

Michaels was AMAZING. The people there were super helpful and everything was awesome. They had a ton of cool crafts and things and when I asked a lady if she knew where something was, she knew exactly where it was, and took me directly to it.

Everytime I go to Michaels I have a great time. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and quick to help you find what youre looking for. One of the best fine art supply aisles Ive seen in town that wont break the bank. Friendly service at the register and a cool place to browse on a rainy day. My only dislike is the amount of Phil Collins on the store stereo but thats a personal preference and doesnt affect my shopping. 10/10 will always shop here.

Not the most helpful staff! I was trying to buy 12 frames & they only had 9. One lady had no clue if there were more and the other lady she asked said she didnt think so and had no idea if or when theyd get anymore in! No checking the computer, no checking in the back, no asking a manager, so I guess Ill have to go spend my money elsewhere! The frames were nice and they were a good price, but the lack of service for a customer trying to spend more money with you..... not.

Excellent place to shop for most any type of craft project. Great selections and they often have stock products that no one else have. They are THE place to shop locally for model train, wood craft and jewelry making supplies. Prices are sometimes a little higher than you have to pay online, but, you dont have to wait.

Michaels is a craft store with various florals, paints, circuit accessories and papers plus packaged crafts for children. They also have a great framing department. The only complaint I could come up with was that the store in Hixson employs a younger crowd who know very little about crafting.

Since the closure of Cleveland, TN the drive to Chattanoogas Hamilton and Hixson locations have been infrequent to rare. Sign of the times though. Both stores are well stocked though, organized, and clean. The route to the bathrooms could be more clearly marked. That would be great. Otherwise wonderful service and great coupons.

Dont do online purchase for store pick up. I did and about everything on my order was wrong. I have two kids under the age of 3 so I thought this would be a great idea.Unlike other online store pickup companies Michaels has theirs inconveniently located in the frame area in the back of the store. So I had to lug the kids in anyway.They filled items that they stated were out of stock and shorted me items that they rang up for me. I also purchased a color and they gave me the wrong one. It took me two trips to straighten it out. Not worth the hassle.When I bought the discrepancy to the manager the second trip he said wait 5 days and he would help me if I called back of the order issue did not show up on my account. It should not take a week and three trips/calls to resolve one $35 order.
