I will always have my Ford Explorer serviced here at Malloy Ford in Charlottesville. Although we may be in the midst of a pandemic, and there may be staffing and supply shortages, the only suggestion I would make for the service reps is to please call the customer to give an update on the status of our vehicle even if it would take longer than what you originally told us. I appreciate the honesty of the suggested maintenance, recommended repairs needed, and most of all, the respect given by every person from the person answering the phones to the cashier.Thanks for keeping my car running.

I purchased a used car from Malloy Ford this fall. The salesman was straightforward and was not pushy. I felt like the deal was fair and they offered a warranty on the 10 year old car (1 month, but better than nothing). Overall, I would definitely visit Malloy Ford again.

Overall I’m always happy to use Malloy. I mentioned at check in I had an appointment at 12. They said they could get my car done by 11:30 at 11:45 I asked for a shuttle to my appointment that was 7 minutes away… it took them 5 minutes to then tell me they don’t have a shuttle ride for me.. granted my car was done by 12.. I was late for my appointment which was fine as my appointment understood but added unnecessary stress and annoyance. I feel that when making an appointment to get your car done a oil change should take no longer than a hour. I choose to come to Malloy because they understand the ford brand since they sell a majority of them. I know it wasn’t the lady’s fault but in all honesty they shouldn’t give unrealistic time frames and they should always have a car for the shuttle to use… I asked prior to 11:30 for a shuttle to be available if my car wasn’t done. 2 hours for a oil change is a little ridiculous if you ask me

I had the most wonderful experience at the Charlottesville Malloy Ford yesterday morning. I’m new to the area and terrible with cars, and I hit a curb and had to have a minor repair. The staff there was extremely professional, kind, and the service was quick and efficient. I would specifically recommend Elliot who was my advisor. Elliot was so kind and very knowledgeable. Gabe was the tech who fixed my car and it’s good as new! I can’t recommend this dealership more highly! :)

I brought my new vehicle in to add roof rails. The service folks forewarned me it was the first time they’ve done this work on a 2021 model. Turned out to be more complicated process than anyone anticipated but Logan (I think that’s his name) from the service department really went above and beyond to ensure the work got done. It was honestly the best customer service experience I’ve ever had at a car dealership.

Best dealership experience I have ever had. The entire sales staff were overly accommodating and helpful. Ken the used car manager did not mess around when he evaluated our trade in value. Shannon and Eric the sale managers were among the most generous and helpful automobile professionals I have come across in any process I have been a part of in my life. The finance department must have a magic hat in their office with what they were able to pull off for me. I HIGHLY recommend checking out this dealership before you buy anywhere else.

My faith in Malloy is restored! I was scheduled to have some work done which was recommended at my last visit. When I showed up today, I was told that work didnt need to be done after all. At first I thought, Oh, they probably forgot to order the parts. But when I got home and read the invoice it stated that the mechanic who recommended that work is no longer with Malloy due to inconsistency. This saved me hundreds of dollars.Ive been going to Malloy for many years and was so glad this problem was resolved. I believe they have good mechanics and they have solved problems no one else could figure out.Good mechanics are very important for a dealership!I also appreciate their large, comfortable waiting room, especially during this pandemic.Overall, I highly recommend Malloys services!

Very poor. I had a hard time making an appointment for warranty service. No one answers the service center phone and the internet appointment booking was not working. Finally reached Katie who had to talk to the service center and scheduled the appointment. Katie was very helpful. The work was done but no paperwork was given. Then I drove about 2 miles before the oil pan shield fell to the ground. It had not been tightened enough.. I called and was .able to talk to Katie again who talked the Glenn, the service manager. Malloy did come and fix the pan .right away.but my confidence in their work is non existent.

Our sales guy Hakeem and his boss Christian was great I have no issues with them the only issue I have is their product we bought two trucks one was an F150 The other was an F250 and both are having electrical and software issues electrical parts needed we have spent more weekends at Molly Ford then we have at our own house or having to DRIVE brand new trucks and wait on parts I can understand having one issue with one truck but not multiple issues with both trucks when you buy something new you expect it to work not having it worked on do not recommend buying anything from Molloy Ford or you will be in their Service department the whole time you own a Ford

Making my appointment was easy, as was dropping my car off for servicing. My email from Malloy had a Track Status button. I could check how far along they were with the servicing and found out in that fashion when my car was ready to be picked up. No hassle!

I had an issue with my 2001 Excursion 7.3l on a Friday afternoon and I was 4 hours into a cross country trip. I got to the dealership and they troubleshoot my issue and had me back on the road in under 2 hours. Outstanding service and the staff was outstanding and super helpful. This will be my 3rd car purchased from Malloy Ford. My husband and I arrived couple hours before closing time. They appraised my car that I was trading in that I had bought brand new at Malloy Ford in 2017. And test drove the vehicle that I was looking at. We were in and out within 2 hours. It was the smoothest car buying experience. Our sales lady Renee was amazing she was welcoming on a family level and professional. She wasn’t pushy at all and went with the flow with what ever you were comfortable on doing, she was right there with you. I even received a thank you letter from her in the mail. We will definitely be going back! The hospitality at Malloy keeps bringing me back.

Had an 02 F350 cooler boot clamp blow on a long haul trip via 81 south at 3pm Saturday of Labor Day weekend and these guys were the only service center open for 100 miles.Elliot and Colton stayed late, fixed us up, and got us back on the road in under an hour. The dealership even had biscuits for our two Dobermans! Thanks so much for the 5 star service and going the extra mile on a holiday weekend to get us back on the road.

Malloy Ford fixed a manufacturers recall on my Escape for me. The process was smooth and easy. I didn’t have to come out of pocket a penny. Absolutely inept. This has to be the worst automotive service I have ever had. To put the story short. I had made an appointment for rebuilding a differential. They gave me a date and I brought my car in. I did not hear back for 5 WEEKS and was only after I called in EVERY SINGLE DAY for week did I get an answer they were just now starting work. Incredible. 3 WEEKS roll by with still no news, no updates. Again, spam call until I get answer on where the hell is my car. Turns out they were missing 1 single part. The idea apparently being to just wait till a stock part from a decade old car somehow gets back in stock. Did not even bother to update me on this or seek aftermarket replacement for this part with my permission. Another week rolls by and I finally get my car back with not all components in the diff even replaced. Amazing. Cherry on top, I had my AC serviced and almost entirely replaced 6 months ago. I got my car back with the AC somehow broken too. I would rather toss my car off a cliff than ever take it back to this level of incompetent. If I could charge them for having no car for near 2 months because they are terrible at admin I would.

They let me know when there is an issue and how to spend the least amount of money, while also thinking about future repairs. I saw a similar comment and experience in the review, but it was the worst automotive service I have also ever had. I called them as I brought a vehicle and did not hear from them for OVER TWO WEEKS. They did not even put me into the system. They promised to keep in touch with me, but I did not hear from them for ANOTHER COUPLE OF WEEKS. I had to call them again. They said they could not call me because they lost my phone number. I asked them to start inspecting the vehicle immediately and left my credit card number while asking them to send a receipt. No reply for OVER THREE WEEKS, and I found that they withdrew money from my credit card without letting me know and without giving me a receipt. This is unprofessional! In addition, they made a wrong receipt and overcharged, so I asked them to charge to a promised amount. They claimed their labor had to work over hours and refused to change to the agreed amount. I decided to pick up the vehicle as other Ford dealer offered to work on the vehicle. I was forced to pay a significant amount just to inspect the vehicle, got nothing repaired and waited for THREE MONTHS for no outcome.

I was very disappointed with the sales personnel. We had purchased a very nice used car from Malloy. It did not come with two sets of completed keys. I asked then if they would add the completed part to which they said, “we can do that. After almost 2 hours, I was greeted with the two sets of keys and a bill for almost $300.00. I was told by the sales manager that the sales person should have told us about the situation. He hadn’t at the time. He also said that he would go over all of the features of the car, which he didn’t.The service manager said that he could reduce the bill to $149. I will not return. I will rather go to Madison for much better Ford service.

Went in for a recall, was warned beforehand that it would be a lengthy visit. Came prepared. Staff was extremely helpful, they recommended state inspection and oil change along with general checkup. Had everything done at same time. Super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff.

The service is solid, but the timing is borderline absurd. I scheduled service for 7:45 in the morning with the sole intent of avoiding a long appointment caused by delays ahead of me. It still took nearly 3 hours (2 hours, 55 minutes) to do a simple oil change and state inspection.Its also quite annoying that even when you go though the web app to schedule the appointment, and fill out all the necessary information (including the services needed), the people checking you in have no idea why you are there and you have to tell them everything over again.

Took our vehicle here to be worked on. They kept it for 2 1/2 weeks i called numerous times and never got a status update, and then finally called back again and i was told they couldnt find a problem with my vehicle and told me i could come get it. Get there and had derp scratches down both sides. We made the manager look at them and he acted like we made it up to blame them! Do not recommend at all!!

Awesome experience. Myself and my wife needed vehicle upgrades and better gas mileage. We had certain criteria that had to be met on needs (payment, vehicle equipment, and additional features and items along the way). Brandan, Shannon, and George and the rest of the team worked tirelessly and vigorously to get us what we wanted and where we needed to be. The process was painless and efficient. They were so busy also and still made sure every customer was taken care of. We give them an A+ or a 15 out of 10. They went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied. Highly suggest them for your next purchase. FYI, the new ranger is a great truck and beats the Tacoma and Colorado hands down. The fuel mileage is great and the truck is a tank and so sharp looking. Go see these guys if you are in the market for a new Ford or even a used car, they were the best.

The only negative fault that I have for this visit was lack of communication. I was never called with information on what was going on for the lengthy service. I called several times with only one call not returned. Other than that the service department is reliable and professional. We werent satisfied with the service we received. We left the car Wednesday afternoon and expected that the car would be looked at first thing on Thursday morning. When we called at noon to see what the status was we were surprised that the car hadnt even been looked at yet. The technician looked at it Thursday afternoon and was having trouble diagnosing the problem. The car had to stay overnight. We expected it would continue to be looked at first thing on Friday but that didnt happen either. The technician was pulled to do something else. Same thing happened on Saturday. The car wasnt fixed until Wednesday afternoon, one week after we brought it in. Bottom line - we did not feel like we were a valued customer and a priority to this dealership. Once they had the car hostage, we expected it to be a priority to them but it wasnt.

So I scheduled an appointment for an inspection sticker through these guys at 10 am expecting it to be in and out. You know thats the hole point in scheduling in advance. But that was not the case it literally took me 2 hours to get it back. Walk ins had priority over me when I Scheduled the appointment for a specific reason. I asked the service rep whats the point of scheduling an appointment in my eyes i felt like he pretty much told me to come in at 0700 to get out faster. I had unusual damage to my car. The Staff at Malloy, especially Vicky Martin, set up a convenient appointment, took care of all the damage assessment and all the rest of the insurance issued. They even found another unrelated problem, that was covered under warranty, so no charge. This is a very thorough and reputable team.

This was my second oil change. The staff was friendly, professional and cordial. Each person I encountered greeted me immediately upon entering the office and while waiting for the car to be serviced. Also loved watchingthe employee interaction with each other. Upon leaving, one employee even took the initiative in helping me resolve a dashboard issue which I did not understand. Overall, I had a wonderful experience, as usual. Kudos to Malloy mgmt.

My wife, and I were looking for a mid size SUV we could use as a daily driver. The salesperson, Gaites Brown was awesome, and a tremendous help in finding the correct vehicle to fit our needs. I know we probably drove Gaites crazy test driving different vehicles, but he was more than happy to help through the entire process. I cant thank him enough for his patience. The finance man JT did a awesome job getting me a good interest rate for a used vehicle. These two gentleman went above,and beyond to make sure my wife and I were happy. Excellent customer service provided by Jennifer Shipp on Tuesday., 6/8/21 at the Malloy Charlottesville Service Department. Jennifer provides good updates for customers who choose to wait in the lounge. Once again, she was very pleasant and friendly. Also Vicky was very welcoming to all customers in-line when the door opened at 7:30 am. It was another great experience!

Really excellent service! This was my first visit to Malloy so I had the conversations beforehand to make sure we understood each other. In addition to an oil change there were various issues that required experienced attention. Brian was right for the job. I’m on the road cross-country; every snag is a concern. How might it sideline me in the middle of nowhere. Brian gave me comfort in fixing the problems and explaining them well. Glenn the service director was an appreciated interface. They were generous in working with me. I’ll be returning as I make C’ville a regular visit.

Recently, my husband had a significant repair on his 2007 F150 unexpectedly evolve into a major issue. Malloy Ford was AWESOME!
