I recently took a class with Joey. It was great!! It is so encouraging to find someone so passionate with the heart of a teacher. This is representative of all my experience with the staff here. So grateful for the kindness and patience of everyone there. I gladly drive 30 minutes for classes, their range, and to purchase guns, accessories, and ammo. There is something far more important than convenience or the lowest price, its being treated well and feeling comfortable learning. If you are thinking of taking a class, asking questions, or learning, then his is the place to go!

12/11/2020I called and asked if the store had a Smith & Wesson M&P15-22. I was told they did have one. I said I’d be there in 20 minutes to pick it up. When I arrived within 20/25 mi here - the same lady with the wonderful greeting and smile was there again. I asked for the sales rep who told me they had this rifle . He grabbed some ammo and put it on the sales desk. I said that’s not what I called for . I called for the Smith & Wesson M&P15-22. The sales rep turned and walked toward a back room versus the sales display cases/wall... I thought by his sigh that this rifle actually wasn’t there ... he came back from the back room and said - somebody bought it .. I asked in 20-25 minutes ? He said yes. I was thinking, can a background check take just 20 minutes ? As I live literally 20-25 minutes away .. so, basically a wasted trip . I did go look at the range to see if Joey may be there so I could say hello and did buy some gun cleaning items to have it not be a complete waste in my endeavor.. but , I think I may look elsewhere or have the sales rep make sure the inventory is there ... before buying a firearm here at the store...June 25, 2020I had a wonderful experience on July 25, 2020. Right at the entrance I was greeted with a smile from the lady upfront. I told her that I was a novice. She went over some suggestions and the price guide.I was sent to rear of the store to sign a simple document . They then had me watch a informative and quick video before entering range.For my payment - I received a 1/2 hour of training, glasses, ammunition and hearing protection/ear muffs...I felt lucky to have Joey Attanasio as my instructor!! He was professional and patient with me. He definitely kept his promise that it would be a fun experience...!!We went over gun safety , handling a firearm, the grip, the clip, loading and firing.I can’t wait to go back and I hope Joey is available...Definitely would recommend this place .

Last night I took a pistol cleaning workshop. The instructor was Joey A. Or Joey with the muscles. From New Jersey Lol. Can’t think of his last name. He was awesome. Great personality, outgoing, funny, time for everyone’s questions. I’m a complete beginner and learned how to take my gun down and clean it AND put it back together. Highly recommend this instructor.

I purchased a 1994 Colt SAA 38 special edition new old stock , bought the gun and was delivered from Carolina to Florida gun store in 2 days was stunned how fast the gun was received . Heath H. call him he was excellent. Heath was 100% in full details on the gun condition . I am a very happy customer .

I am new to the area and want to take a conceal to carry class.I did some research about the class and decided to call regarding a simple pistol class. I called and spoke with Marshall Hampton. He asked me some questions about my experience with guns and suggested I do a 1 on 1. I asked if I come at that very moment, next thing you know I’m walking into Carolina Sporting Arms. The environment was warm and welcoming. At this point my Anxiety is threw the roof! I was alone, new to the area, and had little experience. Marshall went over the basics at the counter and with every word I started to feel better. His delivery was fantastic! I was comfortable!My experience was nothing short of amazing and fun! I learned so much! And I now have my confidence back! If you need someone that’s thorough, knowledgeable, and just an all around great instructor! I highly recommended Marshall Hampton!!!

Went out looking for some .270 ammunition today. Visited some of the gun stores over in Matthews. One had some off-brand .270 rounds selling at $49.99.Came to CSA found some rounds they had in-stock for $35.00. I appreciate CSA not marking up the price of their ammunition to a ridiculous amount. Ammo prices have increased everywhere, no doubt, but it is nice to go to place who is not trying to squeeze every penny they can, just because they can.

Really liked this place! Five of us ladies had a private lesson and range time with Marshall. He was terrific with the ladies that were scared of guns and walked them gently through the process. We ALL left smiling and happy! A few new shooters!! Thank you CSA and Marshall! Can’t wait to come back and shoot again!

Edit: Updating again since I just came back and purchased a Diamondback DB15 with my bonus. Joey is an absolutely amazing employee you have! Give that man a raise! He has a great attitude and helped me with my latest purchase on the 15th and even put my flip-up front and rear sights on my new rifle for me. Also picked up 100 rounds for my new rifle and the pricing is great on everything! I looked at the same Diamondback DB15 from another local store, but CSA had it for a better price and the front and rear flip up sights were only $28 each! Love yall and will definitely be back for my next purchase as well as my free day at the range!If I could give 10 stars I would! Went here to shoot for the first time to prepare for my North Carolina conceal carry class and Frank was a great range instructor. He gave me all the tips I needed and taught me very well.When I took my conceal carry class, I think it was Jerry I had, he was a really great instructor and I enjoyed the class. When it came time for the range test I did 10x better than the first time I was their and passed my conceal carry. Although it is not their fault that the Mecklenburg County Sherriffs office is back logged, Carolina Sporting Arms is a great place to learn how to shoot!While still awaiting for my conceal carry permit to process, I decided I needed something to have for home defense and Frank was very helpful in assisting me on this and purchased a Mossberg 88 shotgun for a good price as well as getting a good deal on ammo. Will definitely be back to purchase my handgun once I eventually get my permit. Will definitely be a repeat customer.

Im not the type of guy to bash a company on the Internet without trying to give them a chance to make it right so i went there twice. Two employees at the south boulevard location dont know how pistol purchase permits work. My permit is vaild for the five years its issued for moving does NOT make a permit invaild. The address on my permit and my drivers license do not need to match. The address on my 4473 and my current address on my license has to match. Theres should be no reason that hyatts( and Academy sports) is able to sell me a gun and CSA Is not. Gun owners in north carolina already have to jump through hoops to get handguns in North Carolina, before I found out that the permits i have were still vaild I had already spent the 25$ to get background checked again.

Use range and instructors for my annual H.R. 218 qualification. You will get the most professional and best firearms instruction anywhere. I highly recommend you use their services. Ranges are excellent as well the store. Only wished I lived closer!

This was my first gun class, I had no gun experience at all. My Instructor was Ron Elliott, I took 5 classes. He was the best, he was patient with me and show me how to shoot, and how to handle the gun properly. Ron also help me to fine/purchase the right Glock for me.Dorothy Blackwell

I visited Carolina Sporting Arms in the past for gun work with no complaints, but this past time was absolutely horrible. The customer service was classless, disrespectful and just plain rude. I will definitely not be back. Not sure if there’s different management or what, but this is a horrible place to go if you enjoy good customer service, or even decent service.

Nice Range. My complaint is that they added a credit card surcharge on to my total that was never previously disclosed. This is 2020 credit cards are most peoples preferred payment method its ridiculous to add an additional fee especially at time of payment.....it shows that they really dont value their customers business. I wont be back

I just completed my SC CWP course. The training and education that Carolina Sporting Arms offers is top notch. Since becoming a handgun owner all my training has been through CSA. Mike Simpson does a great job presenting the information and provides training a handgun owner should have. I plan to continue my training at CSA. All staff is very helpful both in the store and the range area. Safety and education are a priority.

Been a LONG time customer here. And between my father and I have spent thousands here and life time meme we so literally help pay for the range! And this guy just told me if I but a set of 179.99 sights they will install it for 40-80 bucks. But free if I own a Glock... and I’ll need to leave it with him for a week! Dude I called that HYATT GUN. And they said free if I buy from then and install while i am waiting...... they said 15-30 minutes max! So unless these people reach out and say they are sorry they were mistaken and come right in..... I’ll make sure they never get another cent from me! And my family! And my shop right up the street I’m gonna turn every single person away!So much for loyalty they don’t care about their customers!

A friend and I went for a ladies night event. We paid online and thought it included everything we needed. When we went in we were told that we had to buy ear and eye covering, and bullets. Which would be fine if the event didn’t include it. Since we were there , we went ahead and bought what was needed. However, when I got home I was curious and went over the website list of items included in the event. Everything listed stated it WAS INCLUDED. Eye covering and ear covering! So they made us pay double. The fact they frauded us put a sour note on what could have been an excellent learning event. But I guess I did learn of poor business practices.

Walked in prepared to purchase 3 guns and all the accessories. My husband and I stood there waiting while folks walked around drinking Coke. No one ever acknowledged us and after 10 minutes we just walked out.

Decent shotguns for low prices. But the staff is below average. Not very knowledgeable about shotguns, and lost one of my guns they were supposed to send back to the mfg. For 8 months. Go to hyatt.

Great experience. Mike Simpson was a patient instructor for this newbie. He had a great manner for teaching, had helpful tips, answered my questions. Well go back ! They also have days with price deals well take advantage of.

My father and I registered for a class online. VATS intro.Showed up and the specific range was for the class was out of service. No notice provided.Staff was cold and unwelcoming.Also not a mask to be seen among all of the staff. All customers were wearing masks, and signs posted requiring them... staff apparently is boycotting them.We will shoot somewhere else.

I recently found a rifle that Carolina Sporting Arms posted for sale on Guns International. I contacted the store and was transferred to Phillip who is the collectibles manager. Phillip took the time to answer all of my questions about the 77 year old rifle and we closed the deal ! No surprises !When I received the rifle I was pleasantly surprised it was securely packaged plus it was inside a nice soft case. Also the magazines were inside a butt stock pouch that really looks to be an original, not reproduction as well as the sling.I disassembled the rifle this morning and it was everything that Phillip had represented it to be and more.Good honest people that are in business to earn your business. Carolina Sporting Arms is now on my firearms dealer quick search. Great people to do business with.

Unfortunately after todays visit I have to give a mixed review. First and foremost, MOST of the staff are great. Extremely courteous, helpful, polite. My first two experiences there were awesome which prompted me to obtain a membership. Today my wife and I along with 4 other people, two of whom also have memberships, went for a day at the range. As always, the staff were on point. Social distancing and other precautions were followed. There was ONE staff member who was just rude, condescending, and just very unpleasant and unprofessional. I didnt get a name because I was so turned off by his energy that I walked out while my colleagues checked out, but he was a stalky black man with a grey beard. Not only did he come at me with a rude remark when I asked to obtain another lane (which another staff member had already okayed previously), he was really condescending when we were checking out. Almost as if he were mocking us, trying to insult our intelligence. Again, EVERY OTHER staff member have been extremely kind and professional. This particular gentleman must have had a bad day. As far as the establishment, 5 stars. This guy was just a blemish on an otherwise excellent experience.

My experience at Carolina Sporting Arms was below average. Upon entering the store I realized that not a single staff member was wearing a mask. I then approached a gentleman to inquire about the range and his response was aloof. I was determined not to let these two red flags ruin my day and proceeded to reserve a lane. Since the range equipment is antiquated I wasnt sure of the yardage. Every staff member I encountered on my visit was unfriendly and seemed like they didnt want to be bothered.

I love this place! All are nice but come on we have favorites. Stephanie and Mathew are great. Definitely comfortable for females. Give them a try, I do miss going there, will do as soon as I get settled in

I loved going here they are a lil slow but the Service is good and it’s easy for me to come and purchase anything I want without feeling discourage and asking me how I got Concealed weapon permit like why would they ask that but not here I would recommend them to everyone

I have been to the store on several occasions and have had good experiences. Add to that a new firing range! My first 3 times at their range was this week. Top notch. Separate indoor pistol and rifle ranges. How cool is that? The range staff is great:safety is #1, knowledgeable, and helpful. My second time there, I asked if a gunsmith could look at one of my pistols: it needed what I hoped would be a small repair. The range staff took it to their gunsmith on my behalf while I used my other pistol. A few minutes later, it was fixed. I was pleasantly stunned. Good, fast, and inexpensive; rarely does one get all three. Highly recommended.

Terrible first encounter. Woman on the phone, who became condescending, could not locate price of an extremely popular make and model of a firearm. I asked to speak to someone who may know the price. A man said the item was not in stock. I asked what the price is. This man said he didnt have a price because it was out of stock. ?? He then said I was rude to the woman and hung up on me. Seriously? Unbelievable. Does SERVICE mean anything these days? I guess he feels he has enough customers given the current high demand for firearms and ammo. I sure wont be giving him ANY retail or range business and, will encourage others to do the same.

I cannot speak HIGHLY enough our experience today at Carolina Sporting Arms! My wife had her eye on a gun there for over a month. Today, she bought it. Don Bryant did a excellent job in explaining and reviewing several guns with her. She ended up with the selection that she originally was looking at, but with a even better understanding why.While we were there I also got a gun holster for my gun. Don explained in as much detail this holster as he did the gun. He is a very personable and caring individual who just wants his customers to be happy and satisfied! He definitely did that for us. It is hard to find individuals who truly like what they do, especially in retail. He Loves what he does and as a business owner myself, I would be proud to have such a man representing my company. This is a great store, but because of Don it is a Excellent store and always a great experience. Thank you Don and Carolina Sporting Goods! Cant wait to use the new range!

The staff is always friendly and helpful at the range. I was there for lunch and they asked how long has it been and got me to enroll with new tablets, while waiting on friends. Really easy to get in and out at noon. I even remember when I was trying every gun in the case to figure out which I liked and they continued to be helpful each time I returned to the counter. They are a Top notch staff at the range even with faces that are new to me.

Really nice range. State of the art. First time out for my wife and she was impressed. Didnt need a rental gun, but they have a huge selection of guns to rent. Staff in the range and the retail store are well versed in products and helpful. Highly recommend.

Very poor experience. As a new range member, the only fact that has come out of our first member shooting experience is that the range attendant that handled the in and out check in needs to be fired. Not only did he yell NO at my father - the primary member and military veteran using his Guardian membership - when he mistakenly tried to pick up the wrong target hanger; the same employee attempted to charge full price upon check out, and insisted that member tags must be shown upon check in. No where in any range literature received does it state this in writing nor were we told that. The same employee also criticized how his associate, Mike Simpson, set up the membership (Mr. Simpson did not provide all added family members with a member tag) stating thats the problem right there when I explained Mr. Simpson set the account up. Now, it is clear as mud how to use this membership and who is even on it, even though I was supposedly added by Mike, who apparently doesnt know what he is doing - according to this employee.This employee was seen in the downstairs range stall shooting an AR pistol, with a 2-point sling walking around the bay as if he was on some sort of military patrol. I believe the pistol the employee placed on the counter was loaded on the rental counter which is why the employee yelled at a paying military veteran range member for reaching for the hanger that was under it.Mr Drummond, you have a terrific facility and your range is top notch in this area, but please take corrective action on this employee. Shooting is a wonderful sport, but dealing with employees like this make it a chore and not a pleasure. I am happy to speak to you directly about this experience so this does not happen again to another customer.-Michael S.

Good experience. I was able to preorder a specific shotgun. No other gun store in the area offered that. Afterwards, I got a really good deal on a handgun.

First time here everyone was very friendly and helpful

I just took the Concealed Carry Handgun class and was very impressed. The instructor was very knowledgeable and experienced, and clearly had a thorough understanding of the law. He was very willing to help and answer any questions. He was pretty entertaining too so that helped the day go by faster. It is an all day affair and there is a lot of info to cover so having a good instructor definitely helped. I will be doing business here again.

They have held on to my 9mm after I paid for it to be sent to a FFL dealer and than the manager who has all the information keeps saying he needs more. That is nonsense and violating FFL rules since the FFL dealer they are sending it to gave them all the documentation. Manager is a blantant lier.Again the establishment is lying. Was approved and even received a Glock that was transferred. They just do not want to admitt they lied and was wrong. Manager totally unprofessional and even asked for the owner to call me which manager said he would.

This place is a joke, Ill never be back to that store again. Sunday me my wife and a few friends came in to store looking for guns. I found a gun as well as my friend. We ask if there was any wiggle room in the price being we were buying two guns. The sales guy went to get the manager for us to talk to. The manager Phil came out never introduced himself and flat out rudely told us not to buy the guys because he will have them sold by the next day. All we wanted to know was if it was negotiable. We left Sunday without buying anything and my wife talked me into going back up there to buy the gun because I wanted it, and the only reason I left it was cause of Phils attitude. Needless to say we went there today and the used gun I was looking at yesterday was $450 they marked it up to $700 and lied to me about putting a scope on it is the reason the price went up but it had the same scope on it from yesterday. Phil is by far one of the most worthless managers in a company Ive ever seen. He has no respect to anyone as a person,and is a compulsive liar who shouldnt be working with the public at all. Its really sad even when I ask the sales guy to speak with a manager he said oh you want to talk to Angry Phil... I should have known what kinda person he really was...

After several visits Im happy to report that Carolina Sporting Arms is one of the top firearm businesses/ranges Ive been too. Selection is unmatched. Prices are the best in the Charlotte Metro area. The staff is knowledgable, professional, and eager to assist. Absolutely first rate gunsmiths! Highly recommend.

The folks here are helpful, friendly, and do not pressure you. They offer great service and their communication and flexibility has been fantastic. If you find a product cheaper elsewhere, give them a chance to price match! Ive been nothing but pleased with the people Ive interacted with. I dont leave many reviews but I wanted to help them out since theyve been so great.

I dont know why I am just now discovering Carolina Sporting Arms but I am glad I did. As soon as I walked in I was impressed by the showroom and was greeted immediately. I went to the range to fire my personal weapon and was blown away by the amount of steps they have relative to safety. I felt comfortable and safe while shooting. The staff was very friendly. I will be a returning customer.

I really enjoyed the experience my first time at a civilian shooting range. and firing a small arm. The place is nice has everything youd need .The moment I walked in employees were attentive but not overbearingly. The prices I think are competitive and fair after doing research before I went. Was a very simple process to get on the range. This place would have easily gotten 5 stars from me except for the two guys who worked the actual range part of it 1 was Great and the other seemed bothered to help with anything. I didnt want to ask for assistance because of his tone. Better still I will probably revisit an its a great place for a beginner for sure !

I have been a member at Carolina Sporting Arms for a long time and have always been impressed with their level of professionalism and safety. I shoot at the range on a very frequent basis and never have I seen the type of Rambo activity that was suggested in a recent review. In fact, it seems so far fetched from what my experiences have been through the years that I would have to agree with the stores comments that it seems to be a smear tactic on the part of the competition. Shame on them or whoever did this. Carolina Sporting Arms is one of the oldest and most reputable places around and I would highly recommend them to anyone. If you dont believe me, I would suggest visiting the store and seeing for yourself. You wont be disappointed!

Very good experience with my cc class. Tom Iradi was a great instructor. Even though it’s an 8 hour class he will keep you well entertained. Also while teaching you the importance of learning the law, and about your weapon. Highly recommend training here.

Very friendly and knowledge staff. Went to the range and the range master was great. Kept a close eye on everything and called anyone out not being safe in a friendly manner, then used it as a teaching moment.The best part is for $5 you can shoot a Desert Eagle twice.The staff out front knew the inventory very well and could lead you to the gun you asked for and allowed you all the time you wanted to exammine, without any sales pressure.

Don Bryant is an excellent instructor. He was able to impart very important safety lessons to my teenage son, while keeping his interest and attention throughout the evening. My son was hesitant about being at the range and shooting a handgun for the first time and Mr. Bryant put him at ease. Now he has much more confidence and awareness around firearms. Contact Don if you have a family member that you want to introduce the great sport of shooting.

Great selection of ammo, and helpful staff. They are always interested in what you are shooting and what you like. I have not used the range but i will be back and give it a round.

Very good experience. I had minimal experience with guns and had not even fired one in 3 years, but the staff was very nice and helpful and was not condescending like some gun experts can be. One of the salesmen recommended that I try out a few guns on the range and had Megan (the range manager) take me under her wing. She showed me step by step how to do everything and even made a recommendation on which gun to by after watching me shoot each one. Will definitely go back to use the range and for any future gun purchases.

Amazing! I had top notch instruction from Don Bryant who not only taught me how to shoot but stayed patiently by my side to encourage me with each shot. Not only was it a super empowering experience it was a lot of fun! I now feel I can handle a gun safely and protect myself if necessary. Everyone there is terrific--from Jack who helped me with shotguns and Stacey who made sure to set me up properly. I cant wait to go back--it was my first time shooting at a range and I ended up staying for several hours shooting 200 rounds.

They had a JP Sauer side-by-side rifle made in 1891 with octagonal barrels and extensive engraving walk in the front door. They posted it on Guns International and priced it very fairly and I bought it. It was well packaged and arrived in great shape. I had a great first experience with them on an internet sale. I was so impressed with my Instructor, Don Bryant...he reviewed safety and technique in the average persons language and I felt confident and safe when I got onto the range. He was always encouraging and genuinely concerned for my success in gun safety and skill. I truly appreciate the time he took and will be returning. Ditto on Whats not to like about a nice clean comfy range. The pistol range facility, safety program, and lead abatement program are top-notch. The retail store has a good mix of merchandise that is thoughtfully displayed. The pistol rental tie-in with the Wilson Combat manufacturer visit was a great experience.

Excellent customer service. John took tons of time with me, answered every one of my questions, gave me lots of knowledgeable and relative information, showed me and explained lots of different options, and best of all zero pressure to buy. So I did:) I left this place feeling very happy and very happily armed!

Don Bryant is an outstanding trainer! I took a one hour private lesson that I would highly recommend to anyone. I have been around shotguns and rifles all my life but did not have much experience with handguns. I wanted to know, that I know the right and safest way of handling a handgun. Don very patiently and thoroughly taught safety protocol, parts of the handgun, terminology, grip, stance, recoil, the whole nine yards. Of course the best part of the session was range time. I know without a doubt that I am safer, more accurate and more comfortable and confident handling a handgun because of Dons training. That is something well worth every penny. ~Jack

Don Bryant is an amazing teacher with tons of practical real life situations. Plus hes a terrifically nice guy and just fun to shoot with. My brother and I took a personal course with Don and walked out with a whole new level of skills and confidence. Highly recommended.

Don Bryant, I would like to thank you for the training experience. Before the training, I was so afraid to handle my firearm. I purchased the .380 three years ago and never fired the gun. **shooting range** I came here a few weeks ago with a friend to shoot for the first time (me first time). Never coming back. They have the most ridiculous rule and Ive asked quite a few shooting enthusiasts that have been to many different shooting ranges, all said the same thing you got gypped, Ive never heard of such a rule. The rule: when you hang your target AND aim for the target, but hit a little above this line, they charge you $10/bullet. It use to be $5, but increased $10 PER BULLET HOLE. The line is literally right above the target and they claim if the bullet goes above the line, its going into the ceiling and you get to pay for that. Congratulations! Absolutely no proof of it and you were not even trying to do that, but congratulations, you get to pay for a hole that MAYBE went into the ceiling....$10/hole. They mention it in the safety video, which the guy at the desk distracted us us during the video to ask for our drivers license. So this place boasts about safety and a worker pulls our attention away from the safely video RIGHT at the time of it will cost you $5/bullet if you shoot above the line, so both me and my friend missed this statement. (at the time it was still $5/bullet). They also have the charge listed on a laminated sign behind the counter which is covered by guns hanging right below it. If youre trying to go to an indoor shooting range and have an easy going time, aiming at a target and not getting penalized if you shoot too high/low, this isnt the place. Also, they will charge if you hit the wall or floor. If there are multiple shooters, they have absolutely no proof who shot the wall/floor but hear a sound and will assume someone. This was explained to me on the phone when I talked to the manager (Charles). Its the same when speeding, sometimes you get caught and sometimes you get away with it. Word of advice, find another place to shoot. Actually, quite some people said Blackstone, its about a 10 mile drive difference.

First time shooter. Took the First Steps and First Shots class and had a great time. Mike Simpson was an excellent instructor, very knowledgeable and helpful. I very much appreciated the emphasis on safety. Will definitely be back.

Very welcoming staff at the front however once I got to the back not so much. New to this range however brought my own equipment. Walked in and spoke however the older gentlemen behind the counter didnt even budge. I know people can be hard of hearing...So I said hello sir. Im here to sign in as a first time guest here thinking maybe he was on the phone or watching a video. He never greeted me only just pointed me to the tablets in the corner.When its your first time in a new facility, you want to feel welcomed and while I felt that up front. In the back range area, it was the opposite. But Im a laid back guy so I just let it go and went to shoot. When I came out for a break and asked for advice because Im still a fairly new shooter about 4 months or so. I simply asked if they had any pointers of how to get out of the 8s. They wouldnt tell me anything and directed me to take $30/$40 counseling session they give instead. So I choose to pass a learn on my own.To conclude, if youre looking to just get a few rounds out at a pretty clean place with little interaction sure go ahead. However, if youre fairly new to shooting or youre like myself where you dont care whether a facility is clean & has the best prices or not but how they treat their customers, then I wouldnt waste my time. Ill still to driving 30 mins to point blank range where Ive never had a bad experience over 15 min drive here. May give it another chance down the line but for now Ill pass.

TERRIBLE service, the attendant had a attitude for no reason. And then told us we couldnt shoot anything they had because they had no more ammo, for anything at all.

Awesome place. Shot there twice with a good friend who taught me how to hold a gun, load it, and shoot it. The staff there are also there to help you with that. Your first time you watch a safety video. My 2nd time i bought shooting range gear. The staff also give you pointers and advice to better aim your target. Awesome place if you like to come here and shoot at targets or practice. Also, i come from a family who has never been around guns before, and i still think this shooting range is a great place.

Nice, very clean range. The habe a great selection to firearms to rent and try before you buy. When you want to buy they have a great selection at fair prices.

Don Bryant provides personable, courteous, amazing customer service. He treats you like you are family. His concern is your safety. He wants you to have all the knowledge and skill needed to protect yourself while abiding by the law. I left feeling relieved and confident knowing how to protect myself. I even got a big hug! I hosted a birthday party at Carolina Sporting Arms, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience!!! The customer service is excellent, and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful! They made sure we were comfortable and answered all of our questions! Everyone had a blast and I would definitely come back again! I was fortunate enough to find Carolina Sporting Arms and signed up for a concealed carry class. Stephanie Baldwin was the instructor, which I loved because I am a woman! She was thorough and very enjoyable. I learned so much about the law AND firearms in general. The store is very neat and clean and the range is VERY secure. Also the people who work there are very friendly and helpful. I would recommend Carolina Sporting Arms to anyone, men OR women. They dont make you feel dumb!

I had a private lesson with Don Bryant and he very patiently explained what I needed to know as a beginner. I became more comfortable quickly because of the information he gave me.I would be very interested in taking more lessons from him and taking his Defense Course.I would recommend his lessons to anyone wanting to improve their knowledge and skill on the range and for personal protection.

Excellent staff that will help you out and they offer a great selection of firearms. Range is kept clean and is state of the art. Less of a crowd during the week than on weekends. One of my favorite gun shops in Charlotte.
