Loved the cake and cupcakes here! I ordered 12 cupcakes half vanilla fudge cupcakes with rainbow sprinkles and half of the brownie cupcakes. Then for the cake I ordered the strawberry chiffon cake and chose the palette design with a panthers blue color and silver designs on the outside. The cake was beautiful and the taste was amazing the cake in the inside was vanilla and was very moist even after the second day. It was filled with a strawberry cream and pieces of real strawberries in it. The customer service was great and even the ordering of the baked goods were perfect too. I Highly recommend this place for desserts and pastries!

I’ve heard from numerous friends how amazing this bakery is, decided to try it for the first time today for my aunt’s 30th! I love how convenient the same day online order pickup is so you’ll know which cake are in stock + how easy it is to jot down a note to ask them to write little scriptures on the cake! I purchased the 6 inch chocolate raspberry cake and it is deliiciousss! So moist and sweet! I can assure you that Suarez cakes will be an annual birthday cake for everyone in the family now.

The cake just looked good. Taste was not that great. Also, I ordered a gender reveal cake and was expecting pink color to be more prominent. Brown color just takes away all the attention.

I’ve always been a fan of Suarez’s pastries but recently I put in an order for a birthday cake and Cassandra was so attentive and helpful. She made sure to walk me through what type of cake/flavor/design I wanted and was so sweet through the phone. The cake in itself was delicious, obviously, but kudos to Suarez Bakery for their kind employee.

I decided to stop by a visit this place on a Saturday. I have heard about this spot many times before and always see a line out the door since COVID has started so I finally was able to check it out.I waited in the line about 15 minutes it wasnt too bad at the time but if you are in a rush I dint recommend stopping here on a Saturday when its a line outside.I ordered a red velvet cupcake along with a glazed cake donut. My desserts were ok but I probably wouldnt order those again. My glazed cake donut unfortunately was overly sweet for my liking. Id like to try something else they had many desserts to pick from. The pricing of their items are the best I have seen at any bakery in the Charlotte area.While there I noticed a lot of people came to order their bread . Seemed as if it must be pretty good.I like this place and I will try it out again to see what my favorite dessert of theirs will be.

I Went in with the intention of ordering a birthday cake. Was told they are not doing any special orders at this time. The girl at the counter reminded me of a robot the way she spoke to me. My son had a Chocolate Truffle Cake Pop and loved it. $$$

Fiancé got me a donut cake for my birthday from here and it was incredible! Everyone loved it, was a cool novelty item, and so many of our friends were asking us about it when posted on Instagram. Definitely will be back to check out other items here, and happy to see they’ve expanded to optimist hall!

This is one of the highest rated bakeries in Charlotte. I moved here recently and am on the hunt for a bakery close to my home. All I wanted was a fresh cupcake and apple fritter. I have to say I was disappointed. The Apple fritter was spongy and at least two days old. The cupcake (vanilla bean) was actually good and moist but the filling they put in it, some kind of cream ruined it for me. Just give me a cupcake please, hold the extras. I wasnt expecting that. I ended up throwing 30% of each cupcake in the bin. The search continues...

We had donuts and salted caramel brownies from Suárez for the dessert table at our wedding and they were so delicious! We had to reschedule our wedding twice because of Covid and the staff was so flexible and willing to work with us. Highly recommend.

This is a very beautiful and delicious bakery. They have really good desserts. The only matter is that you should call first and pre-order the products, because otherwise you may go there and not found what you are looking for. For example I wanted to buy Cuban bread, and they didnt have at 10am. They suggest me to order it and pick it up at 1pm. Then, I went at 1pm again, and had to wait 30 more minutes because the bread wasnt ready yet. That really bother me. But on the other hand the staff was really nice and everything looked delicious.

Went here for the very first time this weekend, and I can actually say they are now my new favorite go-to place for anything and everything. We got just about 1 of everything. From the frosted sugar cookies to the pecan bar, to the cream horn, and finally to the Strawberry Chiffon and Coconut cakes, everything we tried was an absolute do-over. I am 100% convinced that there is nothing you can try here that will not live up to the high expectations I now have when it comes to sweet treats. Highly recommend coming here, it was quite an experience.

This bakery seems to be busy all the time! Got my daughters bday cake here. I was not disappointed. It was beautiful and tasted as good as it looked. It was worth the money and the drive.

I came into the bakery this Saturday with intentions of buying a few pastries to give to my neighbors this Saturday. I ended up not buying anything because not only was the customer service completely trash but I even heard laughing and yelling. I’ve been coming in here for years and over the years it’s changed but the customer service would always be kind. Not only was I not greeted but when I was ready I felt no one was willing to help me or I received short unenthusiastic answers to any questions I had. Basically I waited in line in the heat for nothing. I went to the Amelies right behind Suarez bakery because even though they charged more at least everyone was kind and the items were just as good! It’s true what they say! Reward good behavior.

Ordered my first cake from here, and I am just so pleased! Ordered the largest size and it was HUGE (definitely get the bang for your buck!), and just absolutely beautiful. Seriously the most perfect cake I have ever purchased. This will definitely be my go to for future cake needs!

We have been getting cakes here since my Mom got married in 1997 and they never disappoint. We’ve had wedding cake and cake in the shape of a hamburger and cupcake cake, cake shaped like a box with a beautiful fondant bow and a cake with ombré roses.

This is a great classic Charlotte bakery in the park road shopping center.Ive had quite a few of their desserts and stats enjoyed them. The cookies are gorgeous and very good.Honestly, I just get whatever looks best in the display case that day and Ive never been disappointed.This time, I convinced my coworker to get the tres leches cake. He let me have a bite and it was delicious!This is a great stop after lunch or dinner when youre in the area!

I love this bakery and have recommended it to several friends in Charlotte. I hosted multiple parties where Ive ordered cookies and cakes and they always turn out beautiful and taste amazing. My friend who dislikes sugar cookies even finished the leftovers I left at her house, she loved them that much. Be warned- if you do plan to have things ordered in advance, they fill up quickly so get your order in sooner than later. Ive used the online request forms multiple times and they follow up on my request the very next day. Worth the price!

I cant speak highly enough of Suarez! They have done every Birthday cake, wedding cake, graduation cake for me over 20 years and we have 5 kids! Every one beautiful and delicious!! While Covid has effectively put a hardship on many small business, I am thrilled they are open and trying so hard to please everyone, even with their limited staff! I find everyone who has EVER worked there friendly and helpful! BEST BAKERY in town!!

I would like to give them more than 5 stars!!!! Everything was absolutely wonderful. I ordered a custom birthday cake from them. I went in to order and was promptly helped by a nice and informative team member. We sat and talked about the cake vision I wanted, how many people to feed etc. She was very helpful and knowledgeable. The cake itself was ready on time and couldn’t have turned out better!!! It was beautiful but besides that it was absolutely delicious!!! It was chocolate inside and amazing. I can’t wait for another occasion to order from them!! Highly recommend

I work near here, same complex. People would bring in donuts from here and I said oh, too bad, I’m vegan guess I won’t have any. Guess again they have an assortment of vegan donut varieties, their basic glazed donut is vegan and it tastes so good it makes time stop.I have been in there once myself and their specialty donut was PB+J and it happened to be vegan and eating it was pure euphoric nirvana

I was looking for a dessert for Easter, I have not tried the coconut cake as of yet but I also purchased some apple fritters and oh my goodness they are absolutely delicious, if you make it to Suarez Bakery try the apple fritters!

After having many friends rave about and have cakes made by Suarez, I decided to give them a try for my 30th birthday cake. I left my boyfriend in charge of planning what it would look like, however when the day came to pick up the cake it was not at all up to what he or I imagined. They were very nice and spent most of the day redoing the cake and it was beautiful and delicious, however I feel like they should have spoken up if they were not able to do the design my boyfriend wanted done. Especially for the amount we paid.

We started off scheduling a tasting with Suarez Bakery and were blown away by how delicious all of our options were. It was a struggle to decide on flavors! We ended up creating a small two tier cake to display and cut then a few sheet cakes to have pre-cut and ready to serve to our guests. This by far was the most cost effective option both at Suarez Bakery and definitely more cost effective compared to other bakeries in the area for the same type of order. They were able to deliver everything out to Lake Norman for a small fee, which eliminated our stress over having to potentially transport the cakes ourselves. Will definitely be using Suarez again when I’m in need of a cake for any occasion!

We had my daughters wedding cake made here and we could not be happier. The intake person helped us design the most amazing cake for my daughters Alice in Wonderland themed wedding when we didnt even know what we want. They researched images and drew up a design and my daughter was ecstatic! They also delivered it all the way to Shelby where the wedding was being held and set it up for us at the venue.On top of all that, their cake TASTES AMAZING! We had two layers, one the vanilla diplomat and the other almond pound cake with cream cheese and strawberry preserve filling all covered in delicious buttercream. No nasty fondant!

I recently got a special cake that was not only beautiful, it was incredibly delicious! Today I bought a dozen cookies for an employees birthday. Again delicious!The staff at Suárez are friendly and helpful.

I love that they have vegan doughnut options. I got the special vegan doughnut flavor of the month - Strawberry Basil filled doughnut with basil infused sugar on the outside. It was really good! Not too sweet, just perfect. The basil wasnt overpowering, just perfectly balanced flavor.

As a Cuban from Miami, this place was extremely disappointing. It was recommended to me as the best Cuban bakery in Charlotte, but thats far from the truth. They had 1 extremely overpriced Cuban pastry, which was the guava pastry. I decided to give it a try. It was terrible. It left a film in your mouth that was difficult to get rid of. Definitely a waste of almost THREE DOLLARS. Customer service was poor. After reading even more negative reviews on here, I will not be visiting again, nor recommending.

Gorgeous Donut Cake for my daughters wedding!

Ordered the Strawberry Chiffon in January for my daughters birthday and that was absolutely excellent design and taste. I just ordered a Tres Leche birthday cake and was disappointed. I guess I have had some amazing Tres Leche and this one did not measure up at all. It was too milky, you couldnt cut a piece without it breaking apart. I literally drained some of the milk before refrigerating at night and the next day it look like the milk reproduced! There was so much milk, it was never ending. I will definitely buy the other cakes but not the Tres Leche unless you have never tasted a good one!

Im posting this review based off of the decoration of the cake I received. What I ordered was a strawberry-colored tonal palette decoration and that is definitely not what I received. Based off of the websites image of this house design that was tonal, thats what I imagined I would receive. Also, if you google the definition of tonal, you would know this does not mean two completely different colors.I emailed them and they basically told me next time to get the more subtle watercolor design...sure. Based off of other reviews, your customer service person will probably provide no real customer service and just excuses, but were all paying a lot of money for beautiful cakes. Next time, just go to Edible Art for your cakes and let Suárez stick to cookies.

The only bakery I’ve ever been to that when you go in person and say I’d like to order a cake that tells you, you can’t order a cake at the bakery. As I try to order a cake at the bakery in person I’m told I need to call (yes as I’m standing there) or go online.I already knew the cake I wanted, and two different employees told me I need to call or go online. At which point I said if I call right now to order a cake would one of you pick up the phone?I went to another bakery right after which was more than willing to take my cake order at the bakery and will now have our business going forward.

My husband and I started off scheduling a pick up tasting with Suarez Bakery and were amazed by how delicious all the samples were. We had trouble deciding on flavors! We will definitely be using Suarez bakery again when in need of a cake for any other occasion.

THE BEST red velvet cake I’ve ever eaten in my life. I’ve had their other treats and they are amazing as well!!! I had some Carmel bacon cupcake concoction that was out of this world. Highly recommend for your wedding or special event. Or just a normal every day delight!

Pls don’t be telling people that your holiday wreath shortbread cookies are dairy-free (i had specifically asked which cookies don’t have dairy)!! according to my digestive system they definitely have butter or something... lol. but seriously. not cool.

Disappointed in my recent cookie order for a friends birthday. I picked the order up and there were only 10 cookies versus a dozen. The presentation was pretty poor as well (cookies and box they were in). The solution for the missing cookies were to grab two out of the case - not ideal and they didn’t match the pre-order. I probably won’t be ordering again anytime soon.

I have tried other bakeries in the area and this is by far the best. Flavors are amazing and the cakes are always moist and delicious. My favorite is their salted Carmel brownie, but the cake truffles, and cupcakes top the list as well. A plus is their staff are always sweet and helpful and the bakery itself is clean and bright and inviting to be inside. It’s a must stop if you’re traveling through Charlotte!

Terrible customer service! Was parked right outside their door and called to place an order over the phone and explained I misplaced my toddlers mask and would it be possible to do a curbside pick up. Employee told me that I should just come in. My child has asthma and I didn’t feel comfortable bringing him in without a mask. You think a small, local business would be willing to help out a mother with two young kids during these strange times. Side note, there wasn’t one person in the bakery at the time and it’s maybe 15 feet from the bakery to my parking spot. Very disappointed.

Me and my family went here in the morning to get some sweets and they were amazing. The donuts were glazed clouds and the Tres Leche tasted like my Abuelita use to make. Original review 3stars:I was a little annoyed today when I stopped in to pay a remaining balance due to my making a change on my previously ordered cake size tfo accommodate additional guests for an upcoming birthday. What I expected to be a quick stop took at least 10-15 minutes for the staff to locate my order sheet- this is after receiving multiple calls that they would not make the cake if I did not pay the additional $21, keep in mind that I had already paid for the original cake. They were also very reluctant to wait until Friday vs. Thursday for me to come in to pay the additional amount. They were going to ask me to redo my entire order today, which I did not recall all the original details from the original order. Nor did I have time to go through the process to reorder the cake. I was thinking of having a wedding cake done here, but honestly this made me have second thoughts. I will see how my order pick up goes next Thursday and update my review at that time. I will say they are very professional and they have beautiful cakes and pastries. I hope that I wont be disappointed.

I have never been disappointed at Suarez Bakery! They have the cutest sugar cookies and their cakes are fantastic. We have a cake tasting there for our wedding and I am excited to get to try more flavors!

We ordered cupcakes for our wedding from Suarez Bakery. We discussed the designs for the cupcakes, one of which was a snowflake that I told the baker how to make when he said he didnt know how to make one. At our wedding reception, we found three small separate cakes had been delivered, decorated with the snowflake motif just like I had described at the time of order. We were very disappointed that this detail that was special to us was ruined by the bakery. When we brought the cake to them and complained, their excuse was they they couldnt read the handwriting on the order. We believe this was a lie to cover up their laziness. Our wedding was two days after Christmas, so our suspicion is that they didnt feel like going through the trouble of making the cupcakes right after the holiday. Well never know for sure, but they clearly remembered our conversation about the cupcakes. They did refund us our money, but we still feel hurt by their poor service.

We went to purchase bread and it wasn’t ready so we paid then he said it would be at ready 1:00 and took our number to call when it was ready. We come back at 1:06 and no one has called us so we talk to some one and she says 5 minutes. We go to michels to grab something and came back 10 minutes later and we go in (still no call) and we take the bread the go out then the guy who helped us pay AND the girl who said 5 minutes said “did you pay” after we paid 30 minutes Ago. FOR SOME BREAD

If you are a vegan who has been missing glazed donuts then you have to make a trip to Suarez Bakery. I drove over an hour and dont regret it.

Very pleased with the design and taste of the cake I purchased from here. As a bonus, they were able to deliver my cake to the restaurant I was bringing it to at a very reasonable cost. I would recommend this bakery.

I use them for all of my Cake Smash Sessions as a photographer of course ~ but my family insists on Birthday Cakes from Suarez for every Birthday and we are there several times a month for cupcakes and donuts. It is absolutely the favorite treat spot in this house of three boys!!

Love it.I took a chance ordering cake for our sons first birthday. They made fantastic custom cake which was so delicious. Every guest complimented. I am now a forever loyal customer for Suarez bakery.

We have been going there for 20 years for birthday cakes and occasionally for other goodies . This time however the cake was disappointing . The number on top was sloppy . The inconsistency in the filling varied from an inch to quarter inch throughout the cake, and the cake itself was dry . When I emailed the manger to let her know the quality was not the same in the previous years , basically was told “Since our cakes are made by hand, some variance can occur, and is to be expected. Custom fonts are not available for phone-in orders “. I was offered a 15% off on a next purchase . I would imagine most bakeries make “cakes by hand “, does that mean dry , sloppy lettering , and inconsistent filling , is an acceptable variation ? I was also provided with a link to their policy with over the phone ordering in regards to “ custom lettering /font “ . I asked for a “21” in fancy lettering . When I placed the order that would have been the appropriate time to tell me their policy. Their employees need to know the policy , not the customer simply trying to let the business know, I noticed a change in a product I have been using for 20 years . We removed the 21 before serving it . The filling did have good flavor and the strawberry’s were diced beautifully. I tried severalTimes to upload the photo .

My boyfriend ordered a texas donut cake for my birthday and it was amazing! The donuts were light and the frosting they used is perfectly sweet..it was basically a giant cream filled donut and I loved it!

I picked up cupcakes from Suarez Bakery for a co-workers birthday and they were absolutely phenomenal. I was able to pick a nice selection of vanilla, chocolate, oreo, lemon, carrot, and strawberry cheesecake. The best part is that their cupcakes arent overly sweet like what you can pick up at the grocery store. Even though they are priced at around $3 a cupcake, it is well worth the money. Everyone loved them!
