Waste of time if you’re a man, check out other thrift stores if you actually find good pieces. However, if you’re looking for women’s clothing, wouldn’t hurt to check out.

We love shopping at goodwill. This location is very nice and regularly has very nice inventory. My wife has purchased several nice things here and so have I. The staff is nice and the store is very clean and organized! I highly recommend this location!!

Pros: always finding great items and even better prices.Cons: incompetent employees sold a rare furniture item that I paid for, even after documenting in their book that I would be back for next day pick up.The assistant manager was rude, unprofessional, and clueless in how their hold/pick up process works.

On Saturday Feb.6, 2021. I meet with Shannon in the check out line. I had a return and she went above and beyond in giving me a refund on some clothes that did not fit. Excellent customer service Sharon! Women like you are what the world needs more of! I plan on coming to this goodwill even if it is a 45 minute drive just because of you! Thank you so much again with helping me through these tough times Shannon!

No boxes, no paper to wrap the glass items I purchased and the cashier Tameka could careless when I expressed my concern over the items could end up breaking before I got home luckily I had a box in my car. Items just wrapped on a single store plastic bag. 1st and last time coming here.

I’ve donated some excellent items to this Goodwill. Each time, employees acted like they were doing me a big favor. Other charities that I have used are much friendlier and more collaborative. I will continue to give, but probably not to this location.

I love this place. The guy manager that runs this place has done a phenomenal job here. He is amazing and has an amazing staff, all so friendly and helpful. He really cares about this store and all the thousands of customers. The amazing lady that styles the store, does a great job, all of her outfits she puts together for the front display are so creative and always get sold. I spent well over $800 bucks today and made 3 trips. This is hands down is the best store. Great prices, great items, in great conditon, one of the better looking stores. I recommend everyone to come to this store in Ballantyne. Amazing place to find great items for a bargain.

I been a few times in this place and I notice all the tennis shoes put them in front to the Columbian old lady. And I dont think is fair because all of the people are waiting. she resell the shoes which is not my business but you can clearly notice that she and the staffer have their business. Next time I will be posting pictures or video so they can something about it.

The manager Shannon Witmore has some of the best customer service Ive seen. We unintentionally donated a few articles of important clothing and she took the time to help us track it down! Although we ended up not finding the articles of clothing due to such efficient rotation times in Goodwill. She helped us feel as though we did all we could to find it. She is very hands on with her employees and made us feel like she really cared and thats more than what we could have asked for. Thanks again!

Great experience! The clothing is well organized, the store is clean and neat and the staff is very helpful. Jennifer was awesome! She was knowledgeable and offered to help me find what I needed.

Nice area so items are a little better in quality.

This location is fine. I wish it would have more selection of Men’s items. It is overwhelmingly women’s clothing and accessories. I feel like they could put a little more thought into the clientele that frequent this location. It is usually busy which is good for business however not so much if you are trying to shop. I have on occasion found some items I have purchased and have been pleased with, they were in fair to good condition. They could have more employees at their registers to help alleviate the long lines at the checkout. Over all this Goodwill is fine.

This is a great location. They have a big selection. Store is always clean and staff is friendly.

I accidentally donated a purse with other items at the Ballantyne Goodwill Store. My wife had promised to give it to a friends child. I went to the Ballantyne Goodwill Store and Shannon, the store manager, and Vickie, an assistant, helped find the purse for me, which was still in the back waiting to be put in stock. Both Shannon and Vicki were helpful, courteous, and friendly - thanks so much!!

Very organized and spacious. Top quality merchandise at next to nothing prices. Goodwill is a fantastic organization, not only for providing professional, quality, name brand clothes, as well as house goods for those who would never be able to afford such things otherwise, but the employment options and life/job skills they provide to the community is a beautiful thing. Do not donate to this Goodwill there are a lot of things Ive donated never show up on the floor. They are stealing had someone checking now have been checking myself. By telling customers not to touch the merchandise until it gets out of the bin dreadful way to treat customers no wonder why you have no employees. There online website is a scam.

I like to pop in all different Goodwills and see what all they have and support their efforts. Well this store far exceeds any of the rest! From quality of items to customer service! The manager Hyrum was at the door greeting people and helping out! A perfect example of how management should be!! Super friendly and professional!! We will def be back!!

I mistakenly donated 3 clothing items my daughter wished to keep. She was very angry. I went back to the store to retrieve the items 3 hours after dropping them off. The manager opened the doors (after hours on Sunday), reviewed video tape to track down the bin, and allowed me to take back her items. He went above and beyond to help us out. Im extremely grateful. Excellent professionalism. He knows his store!

I enjoy going to Goodwill at Ballantyne because I normally find very good buys. I have several times been able to buy something that still has tags on it. I feel that there is good value shopping at Goodwill. And on Tuesdays, getting 25% off what I buy is even more enticing. Thank you to everyone that works there.

Clothes not organized in any way and childrens mixed in. Moved the dressing rooms but there are no longer hooks for clothes or a seat so no place to set anything down except the floor. The checkout area is moved, expanded and organized MUCH better to the side, but they need to have more people to checkout so the line backup isnt awful. I almost just set my stuff down and said forget it. All in all a lot of time wasted waiting. Disappointing.

Sunday is an extremely busy day to try and shop there but the store is clean and fairly organized. Wish they had more than 2 dressing rooms but the wait wasnt too bad. Overall a great place for a bargain!

They are charging more for items that you can buy online which come with a warranty. Some items are priced higher than they were new. If you want to donate your stuff in a gesture of actual good will, donate to the Salvation Army instead of these greedy profiteers disguised as a non profit. Id encourage everyone to contact their congressman and encourage an investigation into goodwill.

You can find some good finds here. I was lucky on 2 different occasions to find some nice Adidas & Nike Sportswear for a fraction of the price of retail. I have seen some Under Armor products (not in my size unfortunately) but was impressed none the less. Books are always stocked to the brim and they have VHS tapes and some DVDs. Friendly staff and clean store.

Nice clean store. The quality of items was high. I went for repurposing mens shirts into dog beds, but they have prom dresses, evening wear, shoes, many great kids and mens clothes and so on.

A well organized location. Staff is helpful and friendly. The quality of the items there are well worth the price. Also on certain items you can haggle just a bit. Usually theres a fair amount of visitors on weekends. Worth the visit for sure.

I usually like this goodwill but today our cashier was EXTREMELY RUDE. Taneka was her name, tm11406 was her Id number. I asked her if I could get a separate bag because the stuff was over flowing and she smacked her lips , rolled her eyes and gave me another bag, adding my merchandise with anger. Not cool, I dont deserve that treatment when spending my money voluntarily.

Was expecting more good finds, granted, this was my first attempt at going to goodwill to find some good steals. The clothes were well organized by type and color. I found a great sweater, but will need to pay for it to be dry cleaned as it appears it fell on the floor and collected dust bunnies. The home goods section was a complete mess! I was also puzzled by the folks waiting out at the door near the home goods section. I’m guessing it was what other previous reviewers said, they were picking through the goods to be placed in the rack/shelves to get the best pick?

I was impressed by the organization of the store. The quality of clothing is good. I was pleased by the amount of baby clothes, maternity pants, and womens business suits they had. The employees were very helpful and nice. I would definitely recommend others to shop this Goodwill.

Its okay, better than most Goodwills. Usually organized, a little overpriced, and crowded, but you can find great deals. Lost 2 stars because the employees are rude. For example, recently I donated a laptop, 10x10 rug, and power tools all in one go. It was late and the employees didnt want to help me unload the car. To avoid unloading the rug, they said it was damaged. Its like-new, we used it for 2 months and then rolled it up and put it in the closet, retails around $300. It was very very clear that they just didnt want to unload such a heavy object at 7pm. They didnt even look at it. They took it anyway when I asked what was wrong with it and they didnt have an answer.Employees like this are losing money for Goodwill, which is terribly sad since they are nonprofit. Im sure they sold that rug for $50-$70 but only because I pressured them to unload it.

When your on a budget and need something nice to wear or going to thrift shopping definitely check out goodwill

I can’t believe the prices at this location. A used blender $39.99, a receiver $69.99, kitchen canister $14.99. Goodwill what is going on with your prices?Goodwill used to be a place where you can get used goods at a decent price. It’s cheaper to go on eBay or Walmart to get new things.Tank top $4 when Walmart has them for $1.89.Goodwill is all about maximizing their profit now.Goodwill needs to remember their core values.

Whatever happened to Goodwill? Prices are ridiculously expensive. Better off buying the stuff brand new. Never seen a receiver for $79.99. Are they trying to compete with Best Buy?? It has gotten really bad.

Nice location. Good place however, I an not happy that loyalty points have been discontinued.

On two visits had to stand in the one open line for 20 minutes. This new cashier was struggling to handle a big return while 5 other employees milled around talking to each other. Why not offer to open a second register? Customers even asked them to help out. There was a lot of chitchat but little real service at the counters. Childrens aisles are always blocked at ends by workers rolling carts--making it hard to shop thise aisles. These rolling carts could easily be emptied by transferring the clothes to proper rack location. Seems like this would be more important task than the endless chitchat among floor employees. It shouldnt take longer to check out than to shop.

Long check out lines. Cashiers have absolutely no sense of urgency whatsoever but are friendly. That said you would be hard pressed to find such a selection of name brand clothes and shoes at these prices anywhere else. This Goodwill location doesnt seem to cherry pick certain brand names for higher prices. Shoes and apparel are priced by group not brand. Shoes $4.99, shirts $3.99, jeans $4.99... etc.

It was good, I didnt find as many treasures as I thought....but not disappointed.

Many items in store are more expensive than some retail outlets. For example, pawn shops buy dvds and sell them at 1.00 to 2.00. Goodwill is given DVDs for free and they charge 2.99. Many items seem to be priced such that the consumer will not look elsewhere. Between Goodwill and the ReStore these are the two that should be used retail merchandise, versus thrift stores.

Good deals can be found here, but many items are over priced compared to other Goodwill stores in Charlotte. Only been here on the weekend and its always been crowded. So, we dont come here often.

2 months ago I was at this location when one of the customer stole my bag in the cart. All my belongings were there my wallet with all my personal card , ss , credit etc. I was left with nothing because even my car keys was inside. Thank God to the Angel sent of 3 black American ladies who help me find my bag . I reported the issue to goodwill manager who was average hight and dark skin seem to be very young, he didnt show no sympathy towards the issue...i mean I was crying and all that. He called me to the office and said I should come witness that the person who stole my bag was not on the camara and they cant do nothing about it. Meanwhile the 3 ladies were by the change room when they notice a white lady with the right description of my black MC bag. She than handed the bag to the ladies and said she took it from someones cart anf thought it was for sale...how ridiculous is that. Anyway to cut the story I did find my bag thanks to these 3 customer ladies NOT goodwill. As an advice please keep your bags with you always dont trust non working camera store just for your sake. You never want to go through what I went through.Ps. Goodwill did not even catch the lady or call police on her. They let her go freely .

Although today was extremely busy the employees were still able to joke around and have positive attitudes with the customers. I also got some cute finds today, the store is always well organized so that makes it easy
