I have been going to Auto Fair with my Dad for 40 years! Many great memories that I have for a lifetime! We have had vendor spaces for 25+ years. However after canceling in Spring of 2020. They are not refunding the money and NOT applying it to 2022. When my dad called to ask questions today all they could say was they have bills to pay! I can promise you it is not about the money it is the principal!!!!! We are a small part of what made this show great! It is a kick in the gut! I will NEVER go back to Auto Fair again!! I will go to Carlisle this Spring and every spring and fall thereafter!

Well, If the auto fair kills the vendors, (which they have and are doing) then what do the buyers have to look at. The little guy selling to the little guy buying was what got the show started. After 40 years of going and at least 30 years as a vendor..... taking my money..hundreds of dollars for the 2020 spaces, what the heck? Ive heard vendors as far away as Wisconcin say they would not return. I ran into them at Carlisle, Pa. this year! They have had our (yes OUR) money for two years. When I called about the new bill I just received, the nice lady told me that they have bills and salaries to pay. SWEET

My business partner and I have attended Charlotte for years will never set foot again at your show. When you take several of my friends money for venders spots and close your show. Then give no compensation of any kind. It is a disgrace to the good and honest people that made the Charlotte Auto Fair what it has grown to be. Be careful how you climb that ladder to success its easy to slip when youre at the top. Especially when make such a stupid decision.

One word: Greed. I have had many good times over the years at the Spring and Fall shows. Had vendor spaces for both shows over 20 years. I will never buy spaces again. Where did all the money go? A 25% discount if you buy April 2022 spaces if they screwed you out of 100% of April 2020. What an insult. The first time this happens you are a victim. Stick around so it can happen again, youre a volunteer.

I would give a zero if it was a choice. They tàke your money and they cancel with no refund. They are plenty others to attend. You guys by this action pretty much ended the auto fair. It will never be the same. I will never attend again

They gladly took my money for the car corral for the April 2020 Auto Fair... and now say after screwing around with us for a year that they are not going to honor our credentials at the next Auto Fair date (now conveniently too much time has past to dispute the credit card charge). This is total B.S. I have been to numerous Auto Fairs in the past here and the car corral is never even close to being full. There is no reason to not honor credentials already paid other than GREED. They arent even going to offer me free general admission? CRIMINAL. Goodbye Charlotte Auto Fair. Its been a good run. BUYER BEWARE.

The place to be: Charlottes AutoFair Fall Ball . . . more fun than a Meet! More fun than the State Fair! With so many vendors I found there was nothing I wanted that wasnt on display. I probably bought 50 cars in my head; couldve done double that, but I have a small head . . . .Ive always enjoyed Car Clubs displays and the grouping of their famous and not-so-famous hot rods symbolizing the camaraderie of their members. Im definitely a pushover for customs and good pipes. The venue at the Charlotte Motor Speedway shows so cool; it is almost like one can hear the racing echos when there at the festival, though no race is going on. Must be the reverberations that never leave? Besides the fun is in North Carolina, which has got to be one of the top ten best states ever. Note to self: spend more time in North Carolina.Next time, Ill skip a few meals before hand so I can eat more Best-Food Hall of Fame nominee, Big Hog Cheddar Dogs; it is a sure heart-stopper. Then Ill work out more so I can walk further and miss less; finally Ill bring more dough . . . gotta bring more dough.

My husband and I had a wonderful day together at the 2014 Auto Fair! We both enjoy cars (especially beautiful classics!) very much and we had the opportunity to check out some really beautiful rides! I didnt know since this was the first Auto Fair Id ever been to, but they also allow dogs! Next time, we will bring our pup as well! And next time we just may bring our pretty 66 Chevy Pickup! :) Thanks for the fun day!

I have been going to the Auto Fair for five years and I have to say that it has been enjoyable for those five times. However, I think that there should be more recycling bins around the in field and the out field. Sure, there are a few around the fast food concessions, but there should be more since there are a lot of recyclable cans/bottles sold in the concessions that ultimately get thrown likely in the trash. Its a waste and I think this problem should get fixed next year. Also, on Saturday, there is a lot of people that come and there should be more police officers to protect the vendors and the buyers and to move people more efficiently to one spot to another.

We go every year spring and fall, and when I say we, I mean the whole family, 10 or so. We are vendors and we have bought and sold cars here and parts but we just mainly go to camp and hang out in the evening with other vendors after all the crouds have left, you never know who you might meet. Also kinda cool to browse the cars in the evening without the heat and crouds. Always love the nostalgia of all the classic cars and the oldies music played and the people that grew up in the era of cruising and REAL MUSCLE CARS.!!! More people need to get young people involved in these classics like I have with my 4 sons or I fear that the old car scene will fade away to the sound of stinger pipes on a Honda...

Hands down the best classic car autofair I have visited! Their line up of models from Buick, Ford, Chevrolet and Dodge are a must see for people in the Charlotte area. Heck, everyone in the South should visit this trade show at the Charlotte Lowes Motor Speedway! See you in April!

Love coming to autofair twice a year and bringing out the car but there needs to be more. The vendors are the same vendors year after year. Bring out new, bigger names or sponsors, put more cars inside the track instead of grand stand parking or worse outside the track and push the vendors back. There needs to be more interactive things to do. Instead of like last April with Elvis impersonators get real bands and performers lined up for concerts. Have something for the cars to do besides just sitting there looking pretty. There are some guys who would like to run theirs on Dynos, the track, etc. Decreasing of the food prices would be GREAT! $27 for breakfast from BoJs for 2 people hurts. When youre already getting up extremely early to get your car ready and meet your club theres not much time to stop in (let alone something open) at 4 or 5am for breakfast so eating inside is youre only option sometimes.

The 2014 Charlotte AutoFair is a shining example of “the whole is greater than the sum of its (thousands of) parts”...literally and figuratively! The classic car marketplace was alive and thriving at the AutoFair, and the entire venue popped with excitement for classic car enthusiasts and collectors. From the GTO camp (Walt Hollifield’s a walking encyclopedia and was chosen to preserve Elvis Presley’s Stutz Blackhawk III, the last car Elvis drove before his death) ... to the RK Motors exotic Mercedes display, along with hundreds of classic cars ... to Tom Cotter and his “Fifty Shades of Rust” book signing, this year’s event was definitely supercharged and in overdrive! Of all the exotics displayed, my favorite had to be the one-off 1995 $3.4M Mercedes C-1000…as in 1,000HP and 268MPH.And I learned a lot about the collaboration between Nationwide Insurance and Hagerty Classic Car Insurance, which partnership I wished had been around when I restored my 1980 Porsche Weissach (drop-dead gorgeous). Nationwide/Hagerty now offer coverage to restoration buffs while the project is underway in their own home garages! This is definitely a shift up and to the right in classic car coverage.Clearly, from all the folks I saw enjoying the time of their lives, I’ll remember this year’s Charlotte AutoFair as Charlotte Motor Speedway’s family afFAIR.

Weve been an outside vendor for many years in the spring and in the fall. First in the Green field and then in the Red field, but last year with all the rain and mud, our regular spot for the past 4-5 years was just too muddy to park and we were subjected to the nether reaches with little to no foot traffic. Also too many folks are just using the outside fields for parking and not selling which puts too many spaces between vendors. More policing needs to be done before we return as a vendor

If you want to see your favorate car, this is the place to go there is bound to be someone who has it. If you want to see where all the weirdest people go, this is the place. Sell just about anything car related there legal or not. I just wish they took cards at all the vendors.
