Great experience with Mike at Auto Tune. I got a punch list of service items at the car dealership for 90,000 mile service, total was over $1200. Mike gave me the run down of which items were really necessary to keep the car running well and which could wait. He got my car tuned up the same day and the cost was very reasonable considering the amount of work done. Will definitely return!

THESE GUYS ARE THE BEST!!!! Once you use them, youll never go back to an overpriced dealership for maintenance and repairs. Our House has 4 drivers with vehicles over 5 years old. If any kind of issue pops up, we take our cars to Joe, Mike, and team.They dont guess at problem, replace parts with high price expensive parts, and hope that it fixes your problem. Instead, they are methodical at getting to the root of the problem and figuring out the best solution.We have had multiple occasions where the dealerships said our problem was one thing and they were going to charge over $1K and Auto Tune fixed the problem for a fraction of the cost and the problem never reoccured.

Thought I needed new brake pads (squeaking), they told me I still had 60% life left on my existing pads and didnt want to sell me something I didnt need. Very honest and trustworthy business!

Fantastic service! Went in for an oil change and brake flushing and they saved me over $100 by showing me I didn’t need the brake flushing at this time. Great honest car mechanics!

These guys are just the absolute best! I have an older car that gives me a lot of problems. They have always been available to check it out as soon as I needed them, its always been ready the same day (usually within a couple hours even), and you cannot beat their prices. Wow! I am so happy that I brought my car here. It was a simple oil change, but they were quick and did not over charge! All of these chain auto places are so over priced and just robotic, they dont seem to care or politely answer your concerns/questions. This place feels like a mom and pops type business and I really liked that. Good,honest, and reliable workers!

The owner, Joe, was extremely nice when I took my car in for an alignment, as well a quote for my brakes. His shop has great pricing and gives an informative explanation of what work needs to be completed and when. I will be taking all of the cars in my family to Joe.

These guys have gone above and beyond in taking care of us and making us feel comfortable in all our decisions and what would make the most sense for our family. Five stars because the owner is nice and very knowledgeable. He is always willing to talk in detail about what needs to be done and things that can wait. Prices are reasonable. I never feel like Im being taken advantage of. They stay busy which is a true testatment of how good they are.

This is more a reflection of buying a car from here than getting something repaired. I wouldn’t recommend purchasing anything from them. I Bought a vehicle from John and was told the mechanics went through the entire vehicle and “fixed” everything they could find wrong. Upon driving I noticed the power steering pump was whining when checked the reservoir was extremely overfilled. I was then told “oh no we didn’t look at the power steering” so obviously they didn’t go through the entire vehicle as was stated before. I decided to but the vehicle anyway bc it seemed to be in really good shape cosmetics wise and had low miles. As soon as I left the check engine light came on and I contacted John, offered no help at all and instead offered excuses as to how it couldn’t have been their fault. I have had to put the vehicle in a shop and am now faced with a $1000.00 bill to fix the issue. Hope everyone takes the time to read this, I don’t want anyone else to get taken advantage of in the same way. Be careful out there, there are some shady people. I wish you the best in your car buying/service ventures.

Every single experience with Auto Tune has been good. I’m not going to say great because who the heck wants to spend money on repairs? No one! But in my case I have to in order to keep my car running. It’s an older car and I need it to last. From oil changes to tire changes to control arms you name it these guys do it right . And yes you MIGHT Be able to find some backwoods mechanics that will charge less but Auto Tune’s prices are fair and the work is A+++. Also sidenote – I’m a female and they never talk down to me or are condescending and they explain things to me so I always understand what is going on with my car. If you haven’t figured it out by now I highly recommend these guys !

***CONSUMER BEWARE! OVERCHARGE - FAULTY WORK - DO NOT BACK UP THEIR REPAIRS***Did NOT complete verbal agreement of fixing my car for $1400.00Replacing tie rod they broke my ASB / ESP sensor.They did not repair my door locks.A/C compressor they replaced they overcharge me $140.00(Mercedes charges $278.00 for an A/C compressor for my car, this shop charged me $418. which I would NOT have agreed to!)A/C compressor makes a chug noise now when I turn A/C on. (Didnt before this shop worked on it!)A/C is at best cool and NOT the cold they say.Did not replace A/C filter that is to be done when replacing an A/C compressor.Overcharged for the A/C Drier by $30.00On that $1400.00 repair, I gave them FIVE DAYS to do the work that should taken no more than a 1 ½ days. They never called me to discuss charges, fees, problems OR how much the total of repairs would cost. On my recipe there where charges without explanation such as Shop Supplies.I have tried SEVERAL times to get this shop to REPAIR the DAMAGE they have done to my car and all I get is Uh huh to death and referred to another shop because all of a sudden my cars computer will not communicate with their diagnostic tool (this is a LIE).They depleted my credit card and now want nothing more to do with me.FTR: Joe made the mistake of telling me that Of course we mark up parts, thats how we make money. I was stunned for I have worked for several Auto Repair shops and those shops found this practice distasteful as the parts are delivered to the shop, costing the shop NOTHING to order them!Final straw (now working with BBB) I took my car to them to have oil change. I was told if I came in with my own oil and filter it would be $10. When I arrived I was told $15, when rang up I was charged $19.00 PLUS the shop kept $15.00 worth of my oil. FURTHER my car was flooded with oil, the oil was half way up the oil dip stick!When I politely confronted Joe he threw up his hands gave me $40 cash told me not to come back, to get my oil level corrected somewhere else and buy myself more oil. UNPROFESSIONAL!

Extremely reasonable rates for a transmission rebuild, and Joe is very knowledgeable. So far so good on the transmission!

Honest mechanics that care about their customers. Brought my car in for an alignment through recommendation of one of the workers at the discount tire down the road. Ive also been having a bearing/road noise issue that ive been trying to diagnose myself but couldnt figure out but I didnt mention it at all.After my alignment the mechanic comes up and takes me to the back saying that he test drove the car after the alignment and noticed a couple other issues. A slight curve in steering and a wheel bearing issue. He did a couple tests for me and said that the passenger wheel bearing was going out and I had a warped front tire cause my steering to not be straight.Spent an extra 40 minutes diagnosing my car (no charge) after they had finished what I initially came in for. These are mechanics you can trust.

There is NO WHERE ELSE I would take any vehicle I own.The first experience I had with Mike and Joe literally bought me to tears.After realizing I didn’t have bail money if I paid those people on Albemarle Road, and they just ripped me off, I asked a friend if she knew someone who would fix my truck, she referred me. I went spoke to Mike and Joe, told them my experience, told them I could pay for whatever was wrong I just needed the end result to be a passed inspection.I left my truck and two days later they called me, told me exactly what was wrong and when I told them to go ahead and fix the truck, Joe said I could come pick up my truck at anytime and it only cost me $323.61....they treat you like family because they REALLY are concerned about you safely operating your vehicle...I am a witness these guys really do care about you and the work they do for you. I refer them to anyone who needs their car repaired...I carry Auto Tune’s business cards around to give away to people.THEY ARE the real deal!!

I went to Auto Tune on a recommendation for my Volvo XC90 and they were absolute champs. So i have so I took my Toyota Matrix in the following day for routine maintenance. “Honestly, you REALLY don’t need to do ‘xyz’ unless you want to but it’s not something I’d recommend at this point.” Jeff said. WHAT MECHANIC SAYS THAT?! Seriously? Not trying to update me on everything? All the reason I’m taking the time to leave a review and will return to them again and again.

I have been going to Auto Tune for years because the service is good and the relaxed, but professional, attitude is great. They are very knowledgeable of your automotive needs and understanding of peoples situations. Even new customers are treated like they have known them for years. The free wi-fi is great but the coffee could be a little better but hey, nobodys perfect.

Told me things that were wrong with my truck if that were not wrong,

The owner Joe is very very rude..They supposedly fixed my girlfriends transmission wiring in her car for 800$...They suggested at the time that the car might need a computer and do the wiring first,so we did.. After about a week the car started to stall just as it did before they supposedly fixed it!!!So we called and they said that its the computer and it will cost about 500$( so now were almost at 1300$ for the car)!!!We were goin to get them to get the computer and fixed it !!!We jus asked that they jus work with us on the price for the computer!!!!They owner joe ended up cutting us off while we were talking and telling us that he is done with our car and wont work on it anymore!!I was very surprised on how the owner acted!!!!I usually dont do reviews but I wouldnt recommend these guys after this !!I thought they were good people and wanted to help us out but it seems like theyre just all for the money !!!I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Joe and his staff really out did themselves. Not only did they fix my car for much lees then I was excepting it drives better then ever. They even emailed me pictures of my brakes and shocks to explain where the problems were.

The address isnt correct. Google hasnt updated it but they besides that they helped me out in a pinch with car and their prices beat the competition. Will be taking my car back for any future issues that arent warranty covered.
