[Warning: Ladies beware] I have gone to FM Auto Services (Kevin) to repair some things on my van several times and each time I go he will tell me on the phone I have to pay a low price but each time I leave I have to pay 300-400 dollars just to get my van repaired and my van will still not be fixed correctly and for a matter of fact every time I come home a new problem shows up after. Yesterday I made an appointment to fix my starter and he told me on the phone it would cost 150 and when I went to his repair shop he said he made a mistake and changed the price to 380 dollars, speaking of a month ago I had him put a new calibrator on my car and I found out yesterday he didnt put that on my car and had to pay 300 dollars and a month before he put a new alternator when I got home I found out my antifreeze is leaking out and now he wants to charge me for the leaking of the antifreeze which he did himself. {I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK TO THIS MAN.} Someone even recommended me this man to me and said he was honest and in the end, he wasnt honest.

This mechanic is a rip in our community. He’s quotes one price and then going to charge you double the amount once you arrive. Then the car will break down with the same problem. Ladies please beware!Response- I have no reason or desire to fabricate. I am writing as a warning to others. If I save one person it’s worth it. Every time I have patronized this owner I was quoted one price over the phone and doubled or tripled once arrived. I’m not the only one I witnessed this happening to another customer while I was there as well. I’m a woman and didn’t know where to go so I paid it. This last visit down to my last dime I had enough. He never showed me any software error in fact they never pulled my car into the shop. He looked at my car in the parking lot. Finding ways to increase cost. First he started with I needed a new battery. He claimed to fix the caliber. but the mechanic working at Kevin’s shop told me they never fixed it. He said I needed to get the caliber fixed. I’m confused because that’s what Kevin told me he fixed last time. Please keep in mind this was on my last visit when I was there for a starter. I called my son and he recognized that I was getting ripped off and was upset. Can you imagine being told it’s going to cost $150 and getting there the price is over $300 just for labor not the parts. I purchased the parts myself. In addition, Kevin has had me purchased an entire part last time because he said it was needed to get the caliber off. When I asked for the my old parts he refused and said he could not give it to me. But charged me the entire price and keep the money one he returned the old part. This time after not finding a valid reason to increase the price, Kevin stated that I he had to increase the cost of labor because the job would take 2 hours. Two hours to replace my starter when I already bought the part. He didn’t say anything about a software error. It was for his time. Fed up, I had my car sent home and found another mechanic It took that mechanic 45 minutes and definitely didn’t take the 2 hours Kevin told me it would to fix a starter. The new mechanic also showed me that my car is still leaking something again I took to Kevin fix. Go here at your own risk!

Came in yesterday for an inspection for our car. The two gentlemen were so professional. We were in and out so quickly. I also asked for one gentleman to check our tires and he gave us his sincere recommendation instead of trying to up-sale and pressure us to buy like other places. I sent my son to get my car inspection. Nothing was wrong except for the 3rd break light in the window being out. They said it failed and offered a very expensive fix. I took my car elsewhere got the inspection and found out that NC only requires you to have one working break light. I have two, literally it’s the break light in the rear window that is out. Talked to the mechanic today and he said the law must have changed. No sir , it didn’t. Stop trying to take advantage of people. Everyone is having hard times financially.

Its rare to find a mechanic this honest. If you dont actually need a repair, theyll tell you instead of saying you do just so they can get paid.

Ive done a timing belt replacement on my 97 Corolla late last year and theyve done a wonderful job. So I went back for my minivan for belt noises and possibly bad suspension as well.The staffs were kind and professional. I really liked that they get right to the point while recommending repair services without threats or false info but rather concerns and risks that might be involved.Definitely, Im coming back to this shop.

I quit taking my car to the dealership years ago. NOBODY touches my car except FM automotive. Mr. Pak is a good, honest man. He does it right the first time--- every time. If you have a major problem, I recommend that you call him to set up a time for him to look at your car and do the work, especially on weekends.

The owner who is Christian. He works with his conscious. He has good skill as well. I am a customer for 14 yrs.

I trust this guy. He is really nice and he is not the type of person who scam people or purposely make mistakes to force them to get additional repairs. Trust me, it might sound silly but some places really do that. I got an oil change at AAA, after a day later, the oil was leaking and I had to get major repairs. Luckily, I went to this guy who works at FM Auto Services and he repaired it for a very fair price.

I have used this mechanic for about 5 years. He does my regular maintenance at a reasonable cost, on my Mazda pickup, Toyota Camry, and Honda CRV. He does not try to upsell other services you do not need.He is a certified, trained mechanic who diagnoses problems accurately and fixes them using proper procedures. He has fixed several small problems and was upfront and direct about the cost and very reasonable.
