Good customer service is when everything is going smoothly. Excellent customer service is when things are not going so well but your dealership goes the extra distance to make it right and is successful.My husband and I recently purchased a car on June 1, 2021. The Hendrick City Chevrolet dealership gave us a good deal. Nice car and it drove well. But within 30 days the car experienced some mechanical issues. Chevrolet stepped up to the plate and made all the repairs, performed a complete 28 points inspection and covered all the cost.But my husband and I made a decision to return the car in hopes of purchasing another one. Chevrolet could have told us an as-is used car is as-is but this is where they go the extra distance.Ebony Finch, VIP Exchange Manager for Hendrick City Chevrolet is amazing! I have been a loyal customer for a decade or more. I have purchased my last three cars from this location and have used them for all of my car maintenance and upkeep. I called the service department about 2 weeks ago, I got the answering service, which is fine, I know how busy they can get. I left a message but no one ever returned my call. They apparently did not want my business so I have gone elsewhere for my service needs and will go elsewhere when it is time to purchase a new car.

We searched for a ‘21 Tahoe for over 6 months and dealers were out of stock, didn’t want to factory order for us, or demanded a big premium over MSRP. They secured a Tahoe for us before it was built and held it for us when it completed. It arrived weeks quicker than promised and were pleasantly surprised with the process. When arriving at the dealer for the transaction he spent time educating us on the SUV and the dealership and answered questions.

Had a rough experience in the beginning. Martin “one of the sales people” made me feel very uncomfortable and basically told me I was not going to be able to afford the vehicle I was planning on purchasing. He came off as very aggressive and made me feel pressured. Do not recommend going to him. However Mark Chaykovskiy deserves a raise or promotion! He made me feel very comfortable and I felt no pressure whatsoever. He made the process of buying the car super easy as this was my first purchase from a dealership. He gave me a tour of the car and explained all the features the car had. He even had the car washed and detailed and even gave me a full tank of gas before releasing the car to me. My experience here at the beginning was fine. The people who set my deal up came in on a day off and did my paperwork. This rating is for the customer service afterwards. I asked the Finance Manager how to cancel warranties and GAP coverage. He told me to wait 2 months and he will reimburse it then (I assume for profit reasons on warranty sales). I was selling the truck I had just bought due to not liking it so I stated that this was not acceptable and I wanted it cancelled immediately. He went on to tell me he would talk with the Finance Director and be in touch the same day. I never heard from Garret after that, I called multiple times left multiple messages and still nothing heard. I did his job for him by finding out all the necessary documents and who to send them to. This is unacceptable and unprofessional in my eyes. I also found out this dealer will up your APR to take more profit so if you want honesty and integrity it doesnt exist here. I know the APR was pushed higher because one week later I financed somewhere else with the same credit score through GM Financial and it was 1.5% lower than it was through this store. I will never shop here again and I advise others to take their money elsewhere.

I was in a very tough spot. I bought a Chevy from Scott Clark 02/2021. By July, the head gasket cracked and wasnt covered under warranty. The car was worthless. Jeremy and Andy worked with me and gave me double my trade in and the best rebates they could find me. All of this was so unexpected, I didnt have access to my cash right away. While they waited 5 days for the wire transfer, they let me take the car as a loaner. This helped me out so much. I didnt have to miss anymore work. They worked with me in the finance department as well. I wasnt in the mood to buy another warranty. I had been burned. They gave me a great price on a new warranty. I know they are salesmen, but I could tell they cared more than most. I would definitely recommend this dealership. Thanks guys!!

Not happy, had to run to 3 different places, to be able to get the answers, and my parts. Went to there collision center, which shouldve be Able to order my parts. But was told the would up charge on the parts, and charge 2 hours of labor, for a 5 minute if that job. Went to city gmc/chevy was treated alot better, but took forever to get my parts, there were in stock. Oh I installed them in the parking lot, less then 3 minutes

I brought my car in for a nail in my tire. When the service team said it would be a 3 hour wait since I didnt have an appointment, they offered a shuttle to take me home! Of course, when they brought me home, I realized I had left my house keys with the vehicle. The driver offered to take me back to the dealership to get them and bring me home again. Luckily, my roommate was on the way home with their house key, so they driver didnt have to do that. When they called to tell me my car was done, since the shuttle guy was in Concord, they ordered me a Lyft so that I could come and pick up my vehicle. Fast, friendly, efficient service! They definitely went above and beyond.

Well my issues are unfortunately as prior I had a fair opinion of this location and the work they did. I called the main phone number and asked to speak to a service advisor to schedule a service, this part went smoothly I talked to Patrick and he scheduled me my truck service. The service required the truck for 2 days and I picked a time I could drop it off. Upon arrival to the dealership I parked in the Bay Area and went to the first person I saw sitting at a service advisor desk and asked him to point me to Patrick. It is then I learned that Patrick is not at that actual dealership but simply arranges the service tickets. All I needed to do was drop-off my truck and leaving, that process took roughly 45-55mins of waiting. Out of 5 staff members sitting at their desks only one was actively checking-in folks at mid morning. When the truck was done and I came to pick up on a Saturday two days later the identical scenario played, except the other 4 staff were not present. Only one guy who was extremely frustrated and aggravated for not having anyone to help with the constant flow of customers. It took roughly 50 -70 mins of waiting for me to get through this process. I am happy these folks are busy with work, but sad to see the clear breakdown of professionalism and the blatant lack of good management practices.That unfortunately was not the end of my troubles, the service done to my truck was costly in labor for the time it takes to replace the needed inexpensive parts. Two days after picking up the truck I headed to a job hrs away from the house I trusted that at least the mechanic did his job right given he had plenty of time to do it. Interestingly the mechanic failed on doing it right, and now their is a serious oil leak(oil pan replaced) that has drenched my entire undercarriage of the truck! It somehow is getting on my belts too! I am baffled as this is a timely but easy repair, I can do myself, if it was not for it being a company truck I would have. We will see what they find they forgot to do. On the ticket it states they replaced everything that was part of the oil pan.

We had a great experience dealing with the sales staff. We made a trip down from several hours away, and arrived later than expected, and they were 15 minutes from closing. They welcomed us in, no questions asked. We ended up purchasing a vehicle, and didnt leave the dealership until after 11pm. His team was never impatient through the long titling process on my end. He also helped me understand NC laws, taxes etc. as Im new to the state and saved me money. Next Is Derek Williams, he went out of his way to find me a better rate with one of your banks that saved me lots of money from using my local banking facilities for a loan for the new car. Additionally Derek explains every aspect and answers every question during the financing procedures for the new vehicle. He too needs to be recognized for his passion and understanding of customers needs for the financing of a new vehicle. In conclusion, you have two stellar people that work at your dealership and I was super impressed after purchasing my vehicle as I have never experienced such professionals in more than 40 years of purchasing cars. I am super late. But I bought a used car and after a couple days had some issues with it. I went back up there and the the service station and they fixed it immediately. I had help from Rene Yanes. He was awesome! Very friendly, made me feel comfortable. He had me in and out of there. Oil change due soon. Hope to deal with you again.

Reservation was made online with make and model of car and services needed. When arrived service people checked in others first that arrived after me. Then we were told that no air filter was available, even though reservation was made 4 days earlier. Then service guy called and said we needed shocks all around. This car has about 25k miles on it so shocks should not be needed. Plus when we bought the car about 4 months ago it was checked pre and post purchase for repairs needed or any issues. Both shops said car was clean and needed nothing. Also we were “offered” $55 windshield wipers, as one could conclude by the year and mileage of the car this not a daily driver and not driven in rain and bad weather. Once we paid for the oil change the service guy pointed to the general direction of where the car was. They did not walk my wife to the car or bring it around for her, which is how other dealerships operate. Not a good experience overall—probably won’t be back.

Nick S. Welcomed me to the dealership and politely and professionally listened to the type of vehicles I was interested in buying. I needed a truck and he showed me several Silverado models. He let me test drive an RST that I liked. He explained all the controls and options and answered all my questions. They did not have exactly what I wanted, but he built one that had everything I wanted and placed an order for me. It may take some time for it to m as manufactured and delivered but it will be well worth it to drive a truck that has everything I wanted.
