Love everyone at this store. Really great customer service. Its rare to find such honest individuals. Everyone takes time to explain pros and cons or even how to use equipment. My go to if I need anything for my landscaping company.

Store has been reorganized to make it easier to find things. The folks are very helpful in directing you to what you need and offering suggestions for projects if needed. Its always fun to look around.

Ive looked for a wheelbarrow for several months as I have 3 very used wheelbarrows: two 3-wheel and one 4-wheel hard plastic or whatever composition. My husband wanted a solid wheel. This one meets my criteria and my husbands. This post is posted under Hannahs name but Im her grandmother Joye Baucom. She ordered something and I dont know how to remove her name.

Great service in the equipment/engine repair department. John and Linda are always helpful and provide quick turnaround whenever we break something on our powerwashers or small engine equipment. We were at Northern Tool to pick up a hard to find part. The lady who took the order was friendly and energetic about helping and was able to get the part in 2 days as opposed to their competitor who is a lot closer to us said it would be two weeks and a $12 shipping fee. They called us when it arrived. When we got there we were immediately greeted and asked what we were looking for. She got someone to parts in moments. Best service Ive experienced in a while. We then had a great time looking at all they sell (it was our first time at Northern) It was like a GREAT BIG toy store for my husband. They had some great deals too. Lots of gift ideas and stocking stuffers.

Needed my backpack leaf blower serviced. Dropped it off at the service dept. and just shopped the store. My blower was ready before I left the store!!!😁

Better than Lowes and Home Depot. Id rather pay a little more money for USA made quality products and tools than cheaper tools and products that will break after using them once.

Great place to grab Stihl products if you want to have parts missing and the staff to have no knowledge of the product at all. Went in after using my BR 800X for the first time. They didnt include the longer nozzle or the d-ring which connects the hose to the unit for storage. Then when I asked the manager to order it, they referred me to Stihl and said if they had to order it, they would need to change me for parts. Even though those were supposed to be included in the first place. This this isnt the first time either. Service tools were missing from my trimmer, and the cultivator attachment I had was put together wrong by them, and was damaged during the first use, which they tried to tell me was not returnable. They finally did exchange the cultivator. Easier to just go to Faulk Brothers and get people that know what they are doing.

Store didnt have what I wanted , inventory said there were 2 available in store. But where not. I love shopping there will continue 😌

Attention if you are shopping for a business and need reliable equipment, DO NOT buy anything from Northern Tool. I purchased a $1,600 pressure washer and 12v bleach pump and surprise, surprise neither of them worked at all. They wouldn’t even turn on. Also their return policy states that if you put gas or oil in the machine than you cannot return it, but I have to put gas and oil in to see if it works in the first place. If they make this right I will delete my review.

Store staff are pleasant but systems training or updates are needed. Unable to place a will call order when in store. They had 2 mgr involved and called regionale trying to place order. No resolution in store and advised to call 800 #. Did so after got callback from que prompt. Took 15 minutes. Midafternoon when attempted in person at store then call. At that point was able to place order in less than 10 min. Spent 45 minutes in store.

The store looks great. They have rearranged and straightened up I like the new lay out better. The staff did not seem as friendly as normal, they were not mean but it seem they usually go out of their way to speak to you.

The lady at the parts counterwas amazingly helpful. She knew way more about what i was working on than i did. So really happy about that!! Also bathroom was super nice and clean!!

Had the worst experience with the most rude manager Katrina. Absolutely disrespectful and not helpful with solving problems in her own store! Never coming back to this store again lost a big chunk of money. Please change management talked to other customers and they agree!

Love this place small engine parts are on point 👉👈 store reps always are helpful Mrs. Linda in parts in service at the Statesville rd location there is no one who is more knowledgeable helpful or down right a nice and wonderful person. amazing resource for information mrs.linda and Mr.Jhon are the reason my business will not get parts anywhere else unless its not sold by them and then she and Mr Jhon find the part for us and let me know where to get it. Bottom line is they go above and beyond for customers I love this place

They close at 8pm on sat.... We arrived at 745pm in a panic bc we needed a drop down hitch before we left to go out of townThey gave us outstanding customer service even at closing time and.. wheeled our cart out for us. Keep up that awesome attitude guys!😉

They had nothing I came for. Oddly, all out of winter wear. No hats nor gloves. No spot weld cutters?! Sales guy said that for reasons unknown, this popular item was pulled from shelves.

Bought a stool from them online. Had to assemble it. Directions had only 1 exploded view picture that the Hubbell telescope could not tell which type of bolt went where. 2 different style bolts and a 10 step assembly procedure that just said put bolt here. No description of which bolt. I called them and asked for help with deciphering their instructions. Guy told me that directions are in the box. Didnt want to help at all. So I now gotta drive back the 17 miles to return it....if they are very lucky I wont throw it across the counter to them. Extremely disappointed in Northern Tool. I run a commercial Dept at a parts supply house and will be informing my professional contactors of the level of customer service that was provided to me. STAY AWAY FROM NORTHERN!!! They dont want to help after you walk out the door after spending your hard earned money with them. I feel like they only care about a sale not customer service or satisfaction.

Has in line for over 30 min and the stock with the same customer when they should find some to ring up customers. So disappointed

Service department guy wasnt knowledgeable. Nor did he ask for a part number to give me a proper price. NTE website shows the part I need and is priced at $149.99 I called to see if they would have the part in stock so I wouldnt have to wait on shipping. The service rep I spoke to just assumed what parts I needed and quoted $800.00

LOVE Northern Tool & Equipment, lots of mid-level tools at fantastic prices. Their customer service is spot on too. If you need a one-time tool this is your place. They have quality tools too, so don’t think this is all mid-grade, you can get good stuff here too.

It was great as usually. Also Pep-Boys was A big hello an close buy my break-down. Got Adapter to connect batter to cigarette lighter since Lawn Mowers do not have A cigarette lighter.

This place is one of those hit or miss spots. Depending on what you want it could be one of the best places to go. The issue is that a lot of the stuff is just poor quality. Sometimes that doesnt matter, sometimes it does. Like I said, that depends on exactly what youre buying.

I was on the phone for almost ten minutes waiting for the service department to pick up their phone after being forwarded from the front desk. They never answered, and I simply hung up and called a competitor. They lost my business before ever interacting with me directly. I wonder if they even read these reviews? How could a manager not fix this problem?

Good place to check out outdoor tools and equipment. Sometimes you can get a really good deal. I bought 2 big jars of bar oil for $9.99.

While I like Northern Tool and have made some big purchases here in the past, NT needs to do a better job with disclosure of when an assembly fee will be charged on a purchase. Went in today in search of a log splitter. They had two of the Powerhorse 22-ton units in stock sitting there in the store, preassembled and ready to go. Nowhere on the price tag or information is an assembly fee mentioned. So I proceed to the counter to make the purchase, and the gentleman then mentions that there is a $150 assembly fee that will be tacked onto the final price. I mentioned to the man that they should not be advertising one price an an already pre-assembled unit and then charging $150 extra to take that already assembled unit home. I was told that they could get a crated unit from the distribution center, but it would be a few days. I went ahead and made the purchase and took the splitter home... but again, NT you should clearly disclose that in order to purchase the unit sitting there in the store, the customer would have to pay for the already completed assembly. Also the assembly fee seems a bit outrageous to begin with. Nothing against the employees as they were helpful.

Terrible Customer Service. They had an item in stock that I have been waiting to have come in at my store. My store manager was able to honor the price in the ad last month and mentioned other managers had the ability to do the same. I called them because they had them in stock. She never identified herself and I had to ask for her name. He name was Sherry, not sure on the spelling. But she acted as if this was truly and inconvenience. As a result, I called another store, further away who was happy to help and bent over backwards. If the sales here are struggling then I know why.

Once again, I checked online, it says what I needed was in stock at that store, and when I get there they are out. DO NOT rely on the website for determining if an item is in stock. It is never correct.

I have a Simpson belt drive pressure washer in need of service so I called Simpson and they sent me to a authorized Simpson repair shop where I was told I needed a new pump $1100.00. I decided I would start looking for new and went to northern tool and was told that there repair service was good and should let them look at it. $250.00 that included parts labor a full tune up pump oil change engine oil change.Starts first pull and works as good as new thanks

Bought a pressure washer there and it ran 3 hours and motor froze up and instead of giving me a new one so i could finish washing deck and house they ordered a new motor and i have to wait 7 to 10 days or longer to finish the job I will never shop there again. Should have went to lowes where they try to satisfy the customer

I do A LOT of business at this place. The people are wonderful.

Lawn mower service there sucks. They fix one thing and break another. A manager Richard was as ignorant as he was useless. They couldnt even figure out how moving the drive clutch lever pulls the cable. Seek repairs elsewhere or buy an owners manual... you couldnt do worse than these guys.

Good service is pretty much norm here but their products are hit or miss.
