Alana was very informative and knowledgeable of the property and properties in the area as well as pricing. She was very prompt on returning calls. Would highly recommend as shes a very good person to work with. She makes the place 5 stars.

Ive been at this facility for a little over 4 months now and have to say, Alana is a great manager. Very professional, courteous, helpful and personable. Ive only needed assistance a few times, however, she has solved the issue without question each time.

Rats... lots of Rats,We had our furniture and other household possessions stored for 10 months. everything was carefully stored when we left it. on return we found a lot of rat damage.When we came to empty our locker we noticed a lot of rodent traps on site on the outside section of the building. They knew they had a problem.No responsibility taken by management.

I had the best check-in experience with Yolanda! Not only was she friendly and thorough, she also was light hearted and fun! Moving can be stressful and she certainly made it a wonderful experience! The property is also well kept, clean and secure. I was relieved it was one level and a smaller facility. Overall a great experience!

Reserved a unit online and within 30 minutes received a call from Dawn wanting to assist me in securing the unit. Met her at the facility a couple hours later. It was so refreshing to have a person greet you at the door and with a smile! She made the whole experience quite pleasant and went the extra mile to accommodate me with quickly and painlessly getting me registered as I had 4 cats in my vehicle. I returned back to the office a couple hours later to place my lock on the unit, again she greeted me with a smile and call me by my name. Had a great conversation with her, it was like we had known each other forever. I would highly recommend Public Storage, everything from the office area to the storage unit itself was spotless.

If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. Everything started out fine for the most part, but once I hit month 3 or 4, it all went down hill. The hotter it got outside, the more obvious it became that the “climate control” wasn’t climate controlled at all. The woman working when I noticed, had no answer for me other than I was wrong. And the roaches. Don’t even get me started on the amount of bugs I saw nearly every time I went to my unit. I shook everything out before moving it out of the unit for fear of transferring the bugs.The icing on the cake though was when my unit was broken into and the manager couldn’t have been less helpful. The lock I purchased from them rusted pretty quickly and became difficult to close. While I was away for work, the lock was discovered by the manager to be totally non functional. She shared she had secured my unit with another lock from Public Storage and to come in to replace it ASAP. Because I was out of town, I sent my boyfriend, an authorized member of the account, to change the lock for me. When he got there, during business hours, there was no one to help him, but he found the lock they had replaced mine with was still there, so we figured we’d wait until I returned home a couple of days later. The following day, I received another call from the manager saying my unit wasn’t secured. I assumed she was again referencing having to secure my unit after my lock failed, so I tried to explain that my boyfriend had attempted to replace the lock the previous day and that’d I’d be in shortly to replace it. She proceeded to cut me off and accuse my boyfriend of cutting the lock. And was dumbfounded when I pointed out that there was no point in cutting the lock if he weren’t going to replace it. There are cameras everywhere and a giant whole in the fence directly in front of my unit and she couldn’t put together that my unit had been broken into. She made absolutely no effort to investigate. When I got home and attempted to replace the lock, she shared that they’d found other units broken into and the police had been involved. No apologies. No ownership of the mistake. Not even any backtracking of essentially having accused my boyfriend of breaking into our unit.Incompetent management. Rude staff. Literally rent from anywhere else. You’d be better off leaving your stuff in your driveway. At least that would be free for the same level of service and quality.

I have used storage facilities before but I have never met such a knowledgeable manager then this one at this property. I will always remember the name Paige from now on not Book! The property was well taken care of and very easy to find. The manager was friendly and helped guide me in when I asked for places to look for on my way in. I will refer this property to EVERYONE I know!

I would give this place zero stars if that was an option agreeing with Veronica’s review. Absolutely horrible experience. The security gate was broken and up allowing anyone in for 4 months this past summer. During this time they decided to increase rent. I did not feel rent should be increased when their side of the deal was not being upheld. I attempted to talk to the manager on site about this but she just directed me to corporate who of course after multiple phone calls and messages never answer or call back. I eventually gave up knowing I was moving my stuff out in a few months. Fast forward to move out day. Similar to a previous review, my climate controlled unit was completely infested with roaches and there was rodent feces everywhere. A nice cloth couch had the plastic wrap covering it ripped open by the rodents and stains and smell of urine cover it now. Feces covered the boxes and most of my furniture. Once we got the stuff to our new house roaches were still crawling out. Nobody wants the excitement of a new house ruined by finding their belonging disrespected by a establishment they had been paying rent too. We have attempted to contact the district manager and still no contact back. Absolute embarrassment of a business. Will be reporting to South Carolina better business bureau as well. NEVER use this facility!

I was looking for a place to store a piece of industrial restaurant equipment. I had already been to a few competitors who either didnt have the size I needed and were gouging rates. When I met Angel at Public Storage, I knew I had come to the right place! She was very personable and found exactly what I needed at a fair price. The first month was super cheap and I dont have to pay full rent until the third month! Im exceptionally glad that Public Storage has employees like Angel!

In this day and time most businesses seem to have lost touch with their patrons. I was pleased to find out recently; that the staff at Public Storage has not. I spoke with Paige, who was extremely helpful and treated me like a customer and not some number. She explained all of the fees and costs associated with renting a storage unit, and even informed me of some things I would not have thought to ask. Very knowledgeable, super customer oriented. Thanks Paige, you redeemed my faith in customer service.

I have found both managers (Jennifer and Ashley) to be great people. Jennifer was wonderful when I was checking various storage unit a few years ago. She was polite, informative, and was always helpful when I had a question about my unit. Ashley has been great to handle my payments and answer any questions I have.Overall I have to say Public Storage to be a great company to rent from. They are consistent in their performance, always work to ensure the renter is taken care of, and do everything within reason to protect your unit.

My only suggestion for management is to add the lock purchase requirement to the online booking portion, so its not a surprise when customers show up expecting to take part in the great $1 first months rent promotion and have $25 added for the required lock. The spaces are easy to get to even with my big van. They have a great variety of space sizes. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They have even called me promptly when my credit card couldnt be charged in order to help me avoid a late fee.I recommend this Public Storage location.

I would recommend Public Storage to anyone! The process of getting a unit at the Sam Rittenberg Blvd location could not have been easier. My property manager (Angel) was extremely helpful and knowledgeable when I asked questions. She answered the phone every time that I called and was extremely patient. She let me come look at the exact unit I would rent to check it out before committing and held the unit for a few days so that I had time to make a decision. When I signed the paperwork, she gave me her honest opinion about the products and did not try to coerce me into buying any materials I did not need. She even stayed late and checked on me multiple times while I was taking measurements and trying to make a plan for what items would fit into my unit. Also, I essentially got the first month free with the deal that they were running at the time of booking! I could not have had a better experience! Thanks Angel and Public Storage!

I have used this Public Storage on two different occasions for three or four months and have had great experiences both times. Not only is the facility safe, my unit was never over heated or exposed to any inclement weather. I worked with both Ashley & Ayanna, both of whom were wonderful. Helpful & pleasant. I would recommend this public storage to anyone with storage needs.

It is easy to think that all storage facilities in one company are alike-But that simply is not true. This one not only has a very decent property BUT most IMPORTANT-Customer service is the key. ANGEL totally delivered this!!! She was not only helpful and amazing but she made each and every customer feel like they were the only one there. We are planning to move soon. I have never rented a storage unit before. I called several storage places in the Charleston area. I knew I wanted climate controlled and the size we needed. I will have to say Ulanda was hands down the most friendly person I spoke with out of all the other places I called. She explained everything to me over the phone. I went to the office, she showed me the space, explained everything I was signing etc. Since the move in date which was Saturday I have already received a call from her checking to make sure everything was ok with our unit and if I had any additional questions. Its very nice to do business with friendly people. Would totally recommend Public Storage to friends and family.

Staff was wonderful. With fees, insurance, required lock, space ended up costing me more than twice what the call center employee claimed. I was not fully informed until after card was run and told they couldnt refund me at that point.
